The text is hard to read on both. The 1st one's background looks ugly; maybe change the color. Use more emphasis on the characters, cause both images look kinda flat. 's I've to say.
I don't really like the first one at all. Nothing blends or flows. I see a render, a few grunge brush strokes, a stock image on the left side, and some text in the dead center that draws attention there. 2/10 because it has a lot of potential, but wasn't expressed enough. Try a gradient map and then a render overlay to make it flow. The second one I think is pretty good. The text kind of makes it not amazing, but I think it was a splendid job, nonetheless. Use smaller font in, maybe a corner or something. That way it doesn't draw focus. Nice color contrasting with the render. 8/10. You're pretty good at photoshop, I want to see some more work from you!
