Korean/Japanese Drama to Watch?

    A few friends of mine said that I should watch Korean/Japanese dramas because they're so "good". Is there any good Korean/Japanese dramas?

    I bet your friends are fans of anime, and I bet they're the type of anime fans who think that everything from Asia is spectacular simply by virtue of it being from Asia.

    A friend of mine who fell in love with the GTO anime watched this one. He said it was basically the same story, just more grounded in reality, and he loved it.

    I loved GTO too, especially the manga, but the eccentricity of the original was a big part of its charm to me and I' m no drama fan, so I never watched it.

    Don't feel bad. It's a phase that every anime fan goes through at one point. Hell, I even went through it when I started watching anime. You'll eventually grow out of it and get into good dramas like American Horror Story and Breaking Bad.

    And if you're lucky almost fall out of the phase completely, regain your dignity as a consumer of media, and realize that Japan is no better than America when it comes to things like anime and drama, both are two very different things with positives to offer.

    I never fell into the asian drama phase because they've all seemed really lame.

    If you want a good drama show, watch Dexter or something.
