Hello my fellow writters and Kingdom Hearts fans. I just wanted to let you guys know that there is a Kingdom Hearts writting contest going on. It must be derived from the current Kingdom Hearts story not including KH3D. You may make it your own add characters and let your imagination flow. Here are the rules: Rules and Requirements: ◊ Your entry MUST be your own idea and written by you. Inspiration can be taken from the original story to a certain extent for contextual factors. ◊ Your entry must be written in continuous prose with correct, understandable grammar and spelling. ◊ Your entry may be between 2000 and 25,000 words. ◊ Must feature characters from Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy, either as themselves or represented by them. ◊ Keep in mind that we will make this into a video. Don't let this restrict you, but don't write something that will be impossible to create visually. We can do a lot with masking, but not everything. ◊ Please keep it clean. Love scenes are allowed but shouldn't be the main focus, or be too crude if included. ◊ Illustrations are allowed but will not be credited. TYPES OF ENTRY: ◊ Option 1: Extension Your entry may relate to the original game as an extension that could be possible within the timeline and the world of the game. For example, a story featuring a younger Yuna training to become a summoner. ◊ Option 2: Cameo An original story using existing characters to fill the roles in your story. For example, Noctis is a prince, Aerith is a princess and they secretly have a son, Sora. HOW TO ENTER: ◊ When you have completed your story, upload the document file to a file sharing website and send it to me in a message. TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS: ◊ Pay attention to characterisation, if you are following the first option make sure your characters speak and act as they do in the original game. ◊ Make sure your story makes sense. ◊ Make sure your story has a clear beggining middle and end. Cliffhangers are okay too, but make sure they are cliffhangers and the story doesn't just break off randomly. ◊ Originality is KEY. It is what we are looking for particularly. Inspire us! Hi, I am the organiser of this project, thank you very much for promoting my contest! :) Though there are a few amendments I would like to make about your description of the contest, as it's not 100% accurate. The main idea is that the winning story will be made into a video using KH/FF characters by a handful of very capable video editors. Things writers should consider are that your story can feature Kingdom Hearts and/or Final Fantasy characters. Your story can either be set within the timeline/story of the game, as an extension to the original story. Alternatively you may wish to take the characters and place them in an entirely new story. This could mean that they exist in an alternate reality, with possible crossovers. This option allows more freedom for your own original story to be told through these characters. For a full explanation please read the description of the following video. All entries should be sent to me via YouTube message.
