Kingdom Hearts: Twilight's Darkness

"Well, I just hope we get there quickly..."
She wanted the suspence to end. She wanted to find Ash already. It felt like an hour passed with every step she took and they would never reach Haven.
Dammit... I just wanna find Ash and get stronger.
The suspence was building up as she returned to the place where much of her childhood tragedies were born. She hated it, but knew that it had to be done.

 

Faya growled at Neo's name. "I want to choke him myself." she hissed. "I don't want to work with him." She was quite blunt. Her body twitched with anticipation.
ooc: I really want to say more, but I have nothing much else to say.

 

A chill went through the Nom De Nom, as the door of the entrance swung open in a graceful manner, a man with golden goggles entered the room, a deep, empty look in his eyes, as they scanned the room.

Though there were those whom continued about their normal business, there were also those that shot glares at him, being very familiar with the young professor. A spawn of darkness itself was what some thought of him, due to his past "tests" with warriors, some even losing their abilities to wield their keyblades in the process.

His eyes continued to scan the room before he laid them upon the booth where Lynn and Ash sat, a smile forming on his face. "Oh Captain!" he called out in a cheery voice, as he began to approach, his voice having the accent of a frenchmen. Over his normal clothes was a white lab coat, the bottom of it trailing across the floor as he moved across the tables toward the booth, nudging against certain chairs on his way there with no regard or apology to those whom were nudged.

 

Martel gently glanced at Faya and nodded, "Neither do I...but for the sake of Lumini and Haven...we must. He drove me from my home...killed my brother...I will never forgive him but I must try to be civil." She walked on into the city...feeling everyone's gaze drift to her as her natural light glowed softly around her, despite her efforts to hide the light with her cloak. "S'cuse me miss....you're not from here are ya? Such a pretty lady shouldn't be walking around at night. Why don't you come back with me to my place..." a man stepped out from the shadows and grabbed Martel's arm, "Please...I have no desire to consort with your kind." "Ouch...you wound me miss..but you don't have a choice."

Ash listened to the one voice he didn't appreciate calling out to him and stood, quickly turning to face him as he approached, "You again...." Ash's Keyblade appeared in his hand from a mass of darkness and Sharpflash quietly questioned his master, What're we doing Master Novella?

Adrien hurried Cat along. He could feel her nervous energy crackling around them and it drew the attention of nearby guards. "Cat...control your feelings. We'll get caught easily if you don't stop thinking about Ash." even though he whispered, several guards turned toward them. "Hey you two...you just said something about Captain Novella." Adrien ushered Cat behind him, "We're not looking for trouble... We seek Mr. Novella to help this girl speak to her Keyblade." The guard's metal helmet was intricately designed with swirls symbolizing darkness and an odd looking harp symbolizing Haven's Goddess Apollimi. "The girl can't speak to her Keyblade? Ah...right this way then. Follow the road, last I heard, Captain Novella was at the Nom De Nom." Adrien nodded and shuffled Cat away from the guards.

 

OOC:Uh... I replied so could you put something for Adrien. It was the last post on the page before this so you might not have seen it.

 

Faya growled at the man from Haven, a punch hitting him in the gut. She hadn't moved, Karma arms were quite useful. "She said to leave her alone."

 

Lynn sat down at the booth and scooted in, adjusting herself until comfortable. The smell wasn't so bad now, but will still take some getting used to. Either way, she was being addressed to now and would have to reply.

"I don't know what they have..."

She answered shyly. Afterwards she heard a voice and noticed the scientist walking towards them. Just the mere sight of him made her shake slightly and look down, trying to hide her face with her hair. Before the new male got to their table to whispered 'we should go' quietly, unaware if Ash even heard her.

 

Well, am I the ONLY one who can't talk to her Keyblade...?
Cat kept walking and controlled her emotions. She still thought of Ash and Neo, but not as much. She focused on each step down the road that would lead her to Ash. She hoped he wouldn't kill them both on sight...

 

"Un plaisir, comme toujours le capitaine" Trey spoke to the captain, speaking his own, self made language. He leaned forward, his palms resting against the table, a sly grin on his face. He turned his attention to the girl on the other side of the table. His smile eased up, though it still had a cold chill to it. "You know, for the strangest of reasons, your appearance reminds me of an old lab partner of mine." he said, his voice as chilling as ice, as he reached his hand outward to try and push away some of the hair that was covering her face, not taking the time to ask permission to even touch her.

Ash grabbed his hand as quick as a cat would move and glared at him. His grey eyes cold and heartless. "Don't speak your nonsense language here, Scientist." he snarled the word scientist like it were a profanity. "I'll ask again...what brings you here, Trey?" Ash stood protectively in front of Lynn, shuffling him out of the way of seeing her, holding Sharpflash loosely at his side, the sharp edged Keyblade catching bits of light that shone through the windows.

Martel flinched and the man doubled over, "Faya! R-run!" Martel never touched Faya but turned quickly and bolted toward the castle. The man on the other hand, stood again and gave chase after Martel.

Adrien yawned and pushed Cat against a wall, he glanced around and sighed, leaning against the wall next to Cat, "We're screwed.... The more people who see us and realize we're here looking for Ash, the more curious they'll get and the King will know we're here before we even have a chance to speak with Ash."

 

Oh crap! I never thought about that before...
She nodded, realizing that he was right and looked for a back alley to crawl through. If she remembered her time here as a child, then there was an underground passage leading straight to where the Nom De Nom was supposedly taking place. They could get into another alley and come back out to look for Ash. She saw one in the alley across the street and casually walked over, not drawing any suspicion should anyone else be watching. She found it and knocked to make sure it was the right door. Once she was sure, she opened it and jumped down into the tunnels. Once she saw Adrien follow she used No Name and sealed the door again.
"These tunnels were used by the few refugees who used to try and get out of Haven... this is how I escaped all those years ago, and this is how we're gonna find Ash inconspicuously." She used No Name to light up the tunnel and looked at the arrows on the wall. They pointed the way out of the city, so naturally she began to walk in the opposite direction.

 

Faya ran, punching the man again to make sure he would have slowed down as she struggled to keep up with Martel. "Do you know where you're going and how to get there!?" she yelled.

 

Martel panted and spoke as she ran, "I do....Neo's castle is guarded by Stone Guardians. Smaller than what guards the entrance to Haven's road. Stone Guardians are loyal to denizens who have past pain and are in danger." The Twilight Castle came into view slowly as they ran. Two large stone pillars with a single carving of a highly detailed man holding a large spear and several littler markings of symbols around them came into view.

Adrien followed Cat closely and lifted a small ball of light in his palm, like in the Dark Forest. "Nicely done Cat." He took lead for a moment and ran his fingers along the walls.

 

Faya kept up pace, almost distracted by the carvings, but shook her head to regain focus. "Will we need to fight?" She asked, looking back to make sure no one was following.

 

She smiled at his praise. Cat let No Name disappear since Adrien had the light source taken care of.
"Even if we're this far down we snould be able to hear the festivities of the Nom De Nom. So tell me Adrien... do you think Ash would slaughter us on the spot?"
She knew this was an odd question to ask but she had to know.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind a nice fight... I haven't had a good challenge in quite some time.
She continued to walk through the tunnel and thought she could hear something from above ground... they were close. She could feel it.

 

Martel skidded to a halt, her back against the castle doors and watched as the man who'd chased them earlier followed along slowly. The closer he came the more Martel could see the murderous intent in his eyes. "O Guardians of Twilight. Protect us from evil and safely grant us access to the King of Twilight." Martel closed her eyes and prayed. It seemed as if the man following had tripped some sort of trip line when the pillars began to shake and tremble. The symbols lit up in a bright blue color and the carvings of the giant men were forced out of the pillar itself. Their spears long and deadlier than in the carving. They themselves looked like barbarians of the old times. The man stopped cold in his tracks.

Adrien listened to the normal tremble and chatter of the Nom De Nom come closer to them suddenly die down to a dull rumble and figured Ash must've brought company. "Honestly....I don't know. Captain Ash is unpredictable." he laughed briefly, "Did you know his whole name is Ashenvale Novella? It's quite odd really...I heard that's how he met the King...because his name was unique and different." Adrien stopped and moved toward a narrow stairwell leading upwards, "This should bring us into the alley beside the Nom De Nom."

 

"Well, if he's that unpredictable... then I get the feeling we're gonna have some fun up there."
She smiled and entertained the thought of what Ash might do. She actually thought his name was quite... beautiful. Unique and beautiful. She focused on climbing up and opening the door to the alley. She looked to see if anyone was near but they were all focused on a single table. Ash's maybe? She nodded to Adrian and climbed out herself while waiting for Adrian to get out. She shut the door and looked at the table that drew the attention of the crowd. There was a strange man, a girl, and a man who undoubtedly seemed like Ash.
The one confronting the weirdo... that's gotta be Ash. Damn... I think i'm starting to freak out. Now that we're here i'm kinda nervous, but it doesn't matter. I've gotta keep my emotions in check...
She started to walk towards Ash, slowly but steadily. She took deep breaths and tried to clear her thoughts. As she approached him she thought he turned his head just a bit.

 

Faya's heart froze at the sight of the rock titans, unsure who they're target was going to be. She prayed like Martel, but to her, she wasn't sure. She would just pray to whomever answered her in this place. Her breath was squeaking, her useless disabled arms were throbbing along every other vein in her body out of adrenaline.

 

Trey could not do anything but laugh, hearing the disgust in Ash's voice. "Why so much tension captain? We are all friends in this kingdom, no?" he asked. His words sounded kind, but his voice still lacked warmth. His eyes looked like that of a feline's in the midst of playing with a recently caught mouse.
"Well, if you must know, I was hopingz zat you could contact zhe king. You see..." he started to say, leaning inward, reaching his hand out to touch Sharpflash without the slightest bit of caution, his hand almost carassing the blade.
"...I need a new keyblade, like zis one. Last night I was experimentingz on my other keyblade, but it would seem zhat somezing went wrong, and she iz now missing..." his wide grin remaining on his face as he leaned inward.

 

Ash jerked Sharpflash out of Trey's hands and up to his throat, "The King would never allow you another Keyblade. Sharpflash is my partner and if you caused your Keyblade to leave then that's your fault." Ash concealed his emotions behind a solid brick wall inside him. "You are the reason I am not allowed to enjoy the festivities of the Day of Twilight." Sharpflash sent out a small pulse wave through Ash with a squeak of her voice, Master...that girl, her thoughts are riddled with images of you! I cannot decifer if she wishes ill intent upon us! Ash released Sharpflash and flicked his eyes momentarily toward the girl approaching him along with the boy on her tail. "Leave this place Trey, we've had enough of your company... And no," he smiled, "No one in this Kingdom are friends." Regretably he turned his face from Trey and looked at Cat with a stern glare. "And you are?"

Adrien gripped Cat's arm tightly as Ash spoke to them. "Ah....a...a...are you...A-Ashenvale...N-N-Novella?" He watched Ash's stern face cloud with confusion and memories. "Indeed I am. And you two might be?"

Martel opened her eyes and fumbled along the doors for the latch. The Guardians crossed their spears in front of the man and glowered their emerald eyes at him. "Leave this place....and do not come back... With hate in your heart....the King is in danger...we shall protect him...." Shaking the man ran off and Martel flung open the doors, "Hurry Faya!"
