Kingdom Hearts: Twilight Fall

YAYZ!!!!!!! MEH FIRST FANFICTION!!! so be nice plz =D
i collaborated with my friend Kairi on this, so its bound to be good lolz =D (and no, her name is not really Kairi) it started out as a RP, so there still may be some chat speak in there. i dunno.
lets see, what else... ok, this is rated PG-13 becuase there may be minor swearing. so if you dont like swearing, then dont read. i dont like it when people flame meh.
some characters may be a bit out of character (especially riku >.>)

this time frame is set mabey about a month after the return to Destiny Islands. =D
OK, HERE WE GO!!!

Chapter 1... Proulogue... thing. lolz.

Kairi looked at Sora. He was staring out into space again. It wasnt that he was doing it on purpose, he was just having trouble concentrating. Especially after he and Riku had come back.

Everyone was sitting by the bent poupu tree on the Destiny Islands. It was kind of a lazy day, because no one was doing much of anything. Rinn and Riku had struck up a conversation, and Roxas and Namine had gone for a walk on the beach.

But Kairi was too worried about Sora to be too interested in anything else. He had spent a lot of his time staring out into space lately. But whenever she asked, he just replyed he was 'thinking'.

She tapped him on the shoulder to awaken him from his trance. Sora immediately looked around to see who it was.

"Oh, Hi Kairi..." he said softly. He seemed to be trying not to look directly at her.

"Hey, Sora," Kairi started "Do you wanna go for a walk on the beach?"

"Um... well... I... um... not right now, thanks..." he stuttered. "Mabey later."

"Oh, okay..." Kairi said in a crestfallen manner. She turned around to join Riku and Rinn in their conversation. Sora resumed staring silently into space.

"Hey Kairi" said Rinn. Riku just gave a bit of a wave before turning back to Rinn. Kairi was happy for her friend that the boy that Rinn liked seemed to like her back.

Kairi immediately joined their conversation on which band was best. But she couldn't seem to keep her mind from wandering and occasionally glanced behnd her to check on Sora. He was still gazing out to sea.

After awhile Kairi's mind shivied away from Sora's strange actions and turned to the conversation at hand. She was just starting to get involved in it when she heared Sora's yell from behind her.

She whipped around to see Sora, unconsious, being held captive by Marluxia. Kairi had never actually seen him before, but between Namine's descriptions and the fact that he had pink hair, she had a vague idea of who he was.

"Let Sora go!!!" She screached. Rinn and Riku had already brought out their weapons.

"No," Marluxia said with a slight smirk. "No, I don't think I like that idea too much." And with that, he vanished, taking Sora with him.

Kairi collapsed on the ground in tears.

-Rinn is my own character that I created. =D
-Roxas and Namine have their own bodies.
-Out of characterness hasn't really been in here yet, but heres what to expect:

Chapter 2... i think. lolz.

Everyone was dumbfounded. No one had expected it because everyone had thought the threat of the Organization had gone.

Kairi was lying on the ground, crying and whispering Sora's name. She was shocked that something like this could happen right under their noses.

The rest of them were all looking around nervously. Roxas and Namine had rushed back when they heard the commotion, and were shocked when they heard the story of Sora's kidnapping. Roxas had tried to get in touch with Sora through his mind, but he had been unable to trace him.

Kairi looked up at the sky. The clear blue and sunshine seemed to mock her feelings.

Rinn came over to her and slowly knelt beside her. "Come on Kairi." she said in a shakey voice. "We can save him. Together."

"Yea." said Namine. "Together."

"Together." Roxas repeated.

"Butterfly." said Riku. Everyone gave him a funny look. "Umm... Together?" he said at last. Everyone sighed.

Kairi nodded and stood up. With her friends beside her, she knew everything would be alright.

Marluxia materialized in the damp dungeon of Hollow Bastion carrying a half-concious Sora. He threw him on the ground and got out his scithe. He pointed it at Sora, who was still lying motionless on the ground.

"Where?" he asked. "Where is it?"

Sora, who's vision was spinning after a blow to the head, was struggling to figure out what was going on. Where was what? he wondered.

"I don't know what you're talking-" He was cut off by Marluxia, who had taken a slash at him. He could feel the blood oozing down his arm.

"I will ask you again." said Marluxia. "WHERE IS IT?" He slashed at Sora again.

This time Sora was thrown into the back wall. As he hit the ground, his breathing grew ragged and heavy, and he saw stars in front of his eyes. He felt a pain in his ribs where the scithe had hit him.

Sora heard Marluxia walk over to him as he said in a faint voice "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Tsk. Worthless brat." Marluxia said as he gave a kick to Sora's head. And then everything went dark.

"Where should we start our search?"

These were the first words of a rescue plan. They eventually decided that Hollow Bastion would be a good place to start.

Kairi wiped away her tears. But she soon found a problem with their plans.

"Um, guys? How are we going to get off the Islands without a gummi ship?"

Namine gave a small smile. "Like this." she said simply. And with that, she turned around and opened a dark portal. "Shall we?" And then she walked through.

The rest of them looked around for a moment, then charged through the portal.

They came out in the marketplace of Hollow Bastion. "Okay," Rinn started "Does anyone know how to get to Merlin's house?" They all shook their heads. "Great." she said in a flat voice.

"Hey you guys!" Kairi heard from behind her. She turned to see Yuffie running toward them, hand in the air in greeting.

"Hey, Yuffie, could you show us the way to Merins house?" said Kairi. "I think were a bit lost."

"Sure thing." Yuffie said cheerily."Just follow me." They followed her towards a set of stairs. "So," she started casualy, "What brings you guys to Hollow Bastion?" She listened to their story as they walked. The retelling of the story brought tears to Kairi's eyes. When they finished, Yuffie just said "Oh no! We should hurry!" and began to run. The rest of them sped up to keep up with her.

When they got to Merlin's house, Yuffie practically broke down the door. "LEON!" she screeched.

"I'm right here..." he said, massaging his ear. "LEON!" Yuffie shouted again. And then she yelled out the whole story into Leons ear.

"Please, Leon..." Kairi said, coming forward. "Anything would help. Please..." She was on the verge of tears again.

Leon, still massaging his ear, took a moment to think. "Have you tried the castle yet?" He pointed through the window at the large castle looming in the distance.

Chapter 3... sorta lolz

As they made their way towards the castle, Kairi began to wonder what business Marluxia had with Sora that he had to kidnapp him. She began to worry and started to run.

"Kairi!" Rinn shouted as the others tried to catch up to her. "Kairi, wait up!"

Kairi stopped for a moment to let the others catch up. "I'm sorry." she apologized. "I'm just worried about Sora."

"We all are." replyed Riku. "Don't worry, everythings gonna be okay."

Kairi nodded and drew her keyblade. "Yea! Lets go save my pretty boy!"

Everyone stared at her for a moment before Riku finally said "Pretty boy?..."

"Yes." Kairi confirmed. " He is my pretty boy." She flashed a smile at them and continued to run towards the castle.

When the group reached the front doors of the castle, they stood staring at the intimidating entryway as if it were going to eat them.

"Well, there it is..." said Roxas. "Yup." Kairi said. There was another moment of silence before Rinn found the courage to walk up to the doors and push them open.

They started down the dim hallway and ended up in the Entrance Hall. "Ooooh, spooky." Namine said quietly. Even this small noise bounced off the walls and made the echo seem 10 times louder.

"Lets try this way." said Rinn, pointing towards a tall staircase. They hadn't gone more than a few steps up it when they heard a booming voice yell "HOW DARE YOU COME HERE!" The echo of the walls made it seem to come from every direction, louder than it really was. They all screamed in fear and ran back towards the middle of the entrance hall.

A dark figure stepped out of the shadows towards them. They were unable to see his face, for he was wearing a standard Organization cloak with the hood up. The small group immediately brought out their weapons.

"Ah, ah, ah..." he said, wagging his finger back and forth. "Violence is not the answer."

"Then who are you?" shouted Riku.

"You should know by now." said the figure. He pulled down his hood to reveal the face of Marluxia. He gave a smirk as they stared at him.

The silence was broken by Rinn, who burst out "ZOMG! It's the gey bich!"

Marluxia seemed taken aback by this comment, but quickly retaliated, shouting "WTF? I am not gey!" back at her.

"Why is it," started Marluxia, who was red in the face from trying to keep his anger in check. "Why is it that everyone assumes I'm gey just because I enjoy gardening and my favorite color is pink?"

"Um, I think it should be obvious." stated Roxas.

Marluxia made a motion to summon his scithe, but was interupted by Rinn. "Where's Sora!" she shouted.

"Ah." smirked Marluxia. "All will be revealed in due time. Remember, patience is a virtue..." And then he began to fade.

Rinn ran to the fading Marluxia and swung at the spot where he had been. "SCREW VIRTUES!" she shouted at the top of her lungs. "COME BACK HERE SO I CAN KICK YOUR A**"

Riku came over and put his arms around her. "Its alright, calm down."

Rinn immediately relaxed when Riku hugged her, but he still hated Marluxia with every fiber of her being. She wanted to rip him to shreds.

At last Riku let go of her and showed them the secret staircase that led down to the dungeon of the castle. "It's dark." said Roxas, stating the obvious. Namine felt him shiver beside her.

"Roxas, are you afraid of the dark?" she asked quietly, so the others couldn't hear.

"No way." he replyed, trying to put on a brave face for his sort-of girlfriend.

"Can we please just get going?" Kairi pleaded impatiently. They nodded and started down the dark hallway.

After awhile of walking in silence, the group came out in a dimly lit room with three other doors. " I wonder which way we should go..." Kairi said in a confused manner.

Riku pointed back the way they came and said "That way!" Rinn hit him on the head.

"I... suppose we should just try one." reasoned Namine. "We're not going to get anywhere by standing around."

Kairi nodded and went towards the middle path. She stopped and listened for a moment, began to walk down it. The others, not wanting to question her judgement, merely followed her.

This path was not nearly as long as the last, and they soon reached the end. This room was also very dim, making it hard to see.

Kairi looked about the room, taking in every detail. She shivered when she noticed the dark stains (blood?) on the walls and floor. 'Sora's blood...' she couldn't help but think. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a dark shape lying on the floor at the back of the room. Looking at it more closely, she noticed spikey brown hair...

"SORA!" she shouted as she began to run towards him. But she didn't get far before she was blocked by a familiar figure with pink hair...

Marluxia.

Okay, so I lied about the regular updates -_-!
be be proud of meh, i just wrote for 15 minutes strait so I could finish this.

Chapter Four, the shortest of the bunch lolz.

"So, you have found your hero. But he doesn't look so heroic now, does he?" Marluxia said with a sneer.

"Let Sora go!" Kairi screamed at him.

"I can't. I have unfinished business with this boy."

"Fine! Then we'll get him back by FORCE!" shouted Riku. Everyone got out their weapons in preparation for battle.

Marluxia smirked and brought out his scithe. "Fine. Take him if you can." He rushed forward to attack Roxas.

Roxas jumped out of the way and slashed at Marluxia's arm. Marluxia howled in pain and nearly dropped his scithe. But the battle was far from over.

They spent a full five minutes hacking away at Marluxia's defenses, but to no avail. In fact, he seemed to get stronger every time they hit him. They, meanwhile, were sustaining large cuts and bruises every time they made a wrong move and were hit.

Kairi glanced at Sora's unconcious form, then ducked as another slash came her way. She wished with all her heart that she could save him. She felt a sudden surge of hate for Marluxia for putting Sora and herself through such pain. She took a swing at Marluxia with all her strength and felt a satisfaction when the blade hit him squarely in the back. Marluxia screamed in agony and began to fade.

The others stopped to watch Marluxia fade, but Kairi had only thoughts of Sora. She turned and ran as fast as she could toward the limp form of Sora lying on the ground.

the plot thickens...don't worry about rushing out a chapter. If you aren't satisfied with it, then take all the time in the world to get it how you like. One of my chapters usually takes a few days before I even have the outline I like. I still like that Marluxia is the antagonist...but now that he's gone...what will happen...
