Kingdom Hearts: Time Matters

"All I ask in return for all this is that you never betray me again." said Maleficent "For the next time you betray me, you shall regret it." Maleficent smiled at Alex "Now, I have given you my powers for a reason... more than one infact... I knew you would be the one who would use them as well as I do... and I need you to fight for me, and eventually kill Sora. But not now... we must take our time." Maleficent said turning her back to Alex "For now, rest... rest until I call you."

 

"I will never betray you again. I will do anything you wish me to do." Alex said when she bowed. "And where shall i sleep at?"

 

Maleficent turned around and smiled. "Good." Maleficent opened her palm and pointed it to her left. A portal appeared. "In here you will find a nice bed. Should you get hungry or thristy... well, I'm sure you remember where the kitchen is."

 

Alex let out a soft laugh. "Yes, i remember very well. Thank you, Maleficent." he walked into the portal and found the bed. She laid on it and remembered the old days she had with maleficent.

"Why did you give that weakling so much of your power?" asked Ansem

"She's like a daughter to me..." said Maleficent

Ansem couldn't tell if she was being sincere or not.

"And everyone knows that once a queen is dead... a daughter must take over... That's where Alex comes in." said Maleficent

"Your leaving your empire to her?!" yelled Ansem, outraged.

"I have looked into the depths of her heart. She can withstand the deepest darkness. And if she kills Sora, what's going to stop her from killing me?" asked Maleficent.

 

"I can't believe that a long time ago, i betrayed the only person who took me in and raised me like a daughter." She spoke to herself. then a memory played in her head, the day she betrayed maleficent.

 

Maleficent housed her... feed her... nurtered her... and got betrayed in return, a daughter is bound to dislike her mother, but to cruelly betray her the way Alex did was unspeakable.

 

Alex held her hand to her heart and felt the warm feeling she felt along time ago. But when the betrayal started, that feeling was lost. She couldn't bear to she the horrible look on Maleficent's face that day. She was bounded to her words and Maleficent, never again will she betray her.

 

Ansem left to go take care of some bussiness.

Maleficent stood alone in her room thinking of Alex. Maleficent had sealed Sora's destiny. With Maleficent's power along with Alex's power and young age... Sora would be wiped away in a matter of seconds. Maleficent had before questioned whether she could defeat Sora or not, but now she knew... victory would be her's and Alex's. How strange it was that Alex decided to come back on Maleficents side. It was only a half an hour ago where Alex was ready to kill Maleficent. However, darkness had that affect on people. Just look at Tai, she fell so quickly to the seduction of darkness. But did Alex do it for some other reason?

 

Why did i come back to Maleficent? Was it to kill her? No. Something was missing from my heart. I never thought Maleficent would almost be a mother to me. Alex sat up. "That's what was missing. The feeling of being cared for."

Maleficent choose not to dwell on it anymore... Alex was her's again. And now, nothing seemed out of reach. Maleficent disappeared.

 

Xert arrived at the point hewas The Corner Stone of Light. His soilders were already loading it up onto a truck.

 

"Whatcha loading up, Xert?" asked Sora

 

"You better not be blind or suffering memory loss. It's The Corner Stone," Xert said. Xert's throughts came together. He knew he was fadeing if he ever got into a large fight he would fade weither he won or loss. But if he drew power from the Corner Stone he could preserve himself. He wouldn't have to worry about using to much power. The idea was tempting. Perhaps to much so.

 

"Yep, it's the corner stone all right..." said Sora "I just didn't know you had it so soon! So, what're you gonna use it for? Are we gonna use it to protect The World That Never Was for now?"

 

"Yes and the big plan," Xert said, "but I had anouther idea for it."

 

"Oh, like what?" asked Sora

 

"I could draw power from to me,"Xert said. He didn't know how Sora would react.

 

Sora was a little thrown-off by this statement. Was Xert using it to gain ultimate power or something like that? "What do you mean?"

 

"Sora it's not a big secret that I am unable to fight anymore because I would run the risk of fadeing. But If I use the Corner Stone I would no longer have to fear fadeing," Xert said looking at the stone as it was loaded onto the ship.
