Kingdom Hearts: The Soul Reason

"Woah, woah!" Demyx recoiled, shuddering. Jack was pointing a sword at him, and it certainly didn't look like it was going to help get his heart back. "I'm trying with empathy, except I am empathizing with the denizens of the worlds, not the nobodies. We have no right to leave them with no aid or knowledge. We just can't run off to save nobodies without warning them..." Demyx trailed off, finally understanding what was happening. There was clearly no point in reasoning with Jack. He had just turned a legitimate debate over what sort of strategy to use into a fight for supremacy. Any attempt to talk would be futile. The darkness was far too strong. Never the less, Demyx decided to try. "Consider this Jack. What is your aim with darkness? Why gamble your heart for it? Riku needed to save Kairi, while Xemnas did it for research. Nobodies have no hearts and cannot be consumed by darkness, so there is no reason for us not to. But why have you opened your heart to it? If it is mere power, take my advice. It's just not worth it. Nothing except other people is worth opening your heart to darkness for. If it is done for a selfish reason, it is foolish. A heart is the most valuable thing you can ever possess. Neither power nor money can replace it."

 

"I don't gamble with the darkness because there is nothing to risk.Theres more than just me in here ...the reason the darkness conquers the heart is because a person fears the darkness and can't fend off the darkness with there heart but i don't fear the darkness with my Friend by my side.Do you honestly think that i was going to fight you.A person of a strong heart against a nobody isn't a fight, it's the nobodies guarantee of destruction if you could say that.Have you noticed that the subject has changed since i brought up a fight.Pychology works wonders.I amn't what you think i am believe me" he said as he put away his blade.

 

Wait... WHA?!" Demyx fell onto the side of his head with his eyes bulging out, traditional Anime style. "Why on earth was it better to do that than let the discussion run its course?!" Demyx was thoroughly confused. Admittedly he never was the smartest nobody around, but he honestly couldn't get why Jack did what he did. "We were reaching an agreement, then you went and did that! Your stunt cost us time, and now it will be really hard to trust you."
Demyx slowly counted off on his fingers.
"One, Xemnas. Control freak, check.
Six, Zexion. Tricker, check.
Seven, Saix. Madness, check.
Twelve, Larxane. Enjoys hurting people, check.
Oh, and Dark Riku. Likes to place his power level above others and brag.
You seem to share a lot of similarities to the Organization. Fatal flaws. We all know how they turned out."

 

OOC: Please Daxma, if you would, read what happened to your character and react accordingly. He did fall and people reacted to him, while Demyx and Riku both responded to what happened to them and Sombre has had repercussions to her acts etc. There's no posts to getting up or anything and he just puts his sword away as though nothing happened. Also, I have no knowledge of this 'friend' thing which is something I kind of needed to know at the beginning when you were accepted. How your character knows every little bit of what happened in the KH games is something that needs to be quelled more as well. Please realize that not even all of the characters themselves know every detail of what went on in the games and we as players have an outside view of what transpired.

Also, general notice: Please if you attack someone you should declare the 'intent' of the attack and not just go on like you succeeded regardless. The other characters do have a right to attempt to parry or defend themselves from physical violence. Also, Lightning does not take out Darkness. Darkness and Light are the two strongest elements in the game, other than Nothingness. Lightning would not work to deflect Darkness that Sombre used.

Also, one attack or defense maneuver at a time please, which can include 1 combo + finisher or one magic spell. Combat is coming up soon so this is to prepare you all, but seriously, consider that other people do have a right to react and attempt to do something, even against characters like Sora, Riku and Xemnas. Will they succeed? Usually when it is combat between player characters, they work things out admirably but if I need to help judge it, I will be glad to. If it is against a boss of some sort or NPC, then I will have to decide on outcomes.

Riku just now rolled his eyes. He turned and looked at Sora. "Thanks for what you said there. It meant a lot. That guy isn't listening though. But I thank you." Riku then turned and watched the entrance of the Usual Spot. He had thought maybe the Light blast would clear up Jack, but no, it apparently did nothing at all to tone him down. Now he even had the audacity to say that he was the reason they were all talking more peacefully. This guy sure did pat himself on the back for a lot considering the fact without him, they'd still be just fine and the argument would have not gone far anyway. Sombre's voice and Namine's voice were both enough to calm things and he doubted that he and Demyx would have gone further even without Sombre finally telling them to chill out. He was grateful for it though. Then of course there was Sora, Kairi and DiZ. Even though all of them did not get along, they could see eye to eye enough to do what they needed to and strife could either rip people apart or bring them closer together. For now though, Riku had nothing more to really say as he instead went inside himself to think. He knew where they were going roughly since Axel had helped him and Namine go through. They could go to pretty much wherever they wanted to through that corridor in TWTNW. Would Xemnas and the others figure out their intentions...yes, he had to ponder the best strategy from what he recalled of the place.

Repliku had less control than Riku did and more of a temper. Darkness circled around his wrists moving off like flames of blackness. Who was this guy and what was his problem? He said he was from DiZ's world but really, wherever Jack had gone to, it obviously had made him a cold person with an ego that was even somehow bigger than Marluxia's, in Repliku's eyes at the moment. The temptation to speak...no, to beat the tar out of Jack, was definitely rising as Darkness welled within Repliku's 'fake' Heart. "You have a lot of nerve saying that you had anything to do with this group coming to terms with things. Sora would have helped Riku and Demyx if they needed to be calmed down and Sombre made them see they were getting loud. Getting loud and having an argument verbally doesn't mean someone needs to get hit because if that were true, mister, you'd be dead right now with all the awful things you said. Stop hurting people's feelings. I don't care if they have a heart or not. We shouldn't have to take your abuse. You settled nothing. You only provoked feelings of great mistrust towards you. Maybe try a different route like BEING NICE."

Ansem the Wise rubbed his temples a moment. He was not sure what to say. It was obvious Jack was teetering on the edge and he obviously was not mentally so capable of making decisions, but he certainly felt assured he was. That is how Darkness could be though. Perverting and twisting the mind's thoughts. "Please do not all gang up on Jack and Repliku, tone down your Darkness. Sombre, control yours too please, if you are feeling tense."

He eyed Jack a moment. A friend. Was he trying to indicate perhaps a Heartless was connected to him? That would truly not be plausible as a claim, for the only one with such a condition was a Heartless itself...Xehanort's corrupted Heart, and then Riku who took the power as his own. This was not making too much sense, but perhaps it was necessary to analyze. What was more important though was trying to adjust the animosity around. "Jack, you have not helped and I do not see why you believe so other than Darkness clouds your mind. If anything, you have caused more destruction and were it not for the natures of the Keyblade warriors, you would have pushed people into violence and rage. Do you not have the ability to feel what they do in their hearts and can you not at all see what you are doing is wrong? Being connected to Darkness, as one with a Heart, it is as Demyx said, necessary to open yourself to that power and have it awakened in you. It is also not so easy to control as you attempt to delude yourself that it is. I cannot ask Sombre here why she is the way she is, but it is clear to me that it would seem it was an act of desperation, by what I can read from her currently. I know why Riku turned to Darkness. He had done so as Sora said, to protect his friends, even if he was misguided by Darkness and also Dark allies of the time. You, however, grip onto the Darkness."

"When you told Riku he threw away his friends for Darkness, there is only one time he did so. That was against Sora because he was in desperation to save Kairi. I used this against him as words to stir him in Castle Oblivion and test his Heart since I knew well what lurked within him. You know very much for someone who was not around these areas. If you were, you would have been detected by the Organization, to say the least. Also, I have no idea how you would maneuver around Xehanort's Heartless or the Dark Council. However you know so much about Riku or the Organization, or my words even to him, when very few people did initially, I do not know. Is this information from this friend of yours? To get to the point though, you need to clear your head and calm the Darkness because unlike the Organization and Nobodies, you do have a Heart. Whether you believe so or not, the Darkness can and will do you in if you do not heed the words of Demyx, myself and others. Darkness is not a tool to play with. You can -never- control Darkness absolutely, regardless of who you are and with a Heart, it is even less likely to be able to. The most you can hope to do is control your own actions and balance yourself since Darkness is awake in you. This means to stop using it so much and close the Dark Portal and cease such dependency on it. It is greatly affecting your judgment. I say this with all sincerity because I have studied it for years and I know very well what it does to a person, to include myself. Do you understand?"

 

ooc: I just thought that I should put my own thoughts into this, but I am simply saying, that though I believe you are right in saying that, I would also like to point out that you should be weary of how others fight in the thread as well. I used to rp like that often, and I still do give others the chance to block or be hit, but after a good year, you start to realize that u have a 1/10 chance of the guy you are attacking actually getting hit. I am simply stating that you should observe the fights closely, because if people are blocking eachother TOO MANY times, then you should try and take different judgement.

bic: "T........t.....to....." he started to say, trying to state his name. He was laying upon his bed, wearing his new black orginization XIII clothes. He wore his hood upward, feeling a bit more hidden for some awkward reason. He liked the feel of it really. But now, he knew that he could not truelly like it, and yet, it still made him comforatable. Now that he was in the presence of more nobodies, it felt as if he was being influenced some what, being able to feel as if he was more suited in inside of a place in which he had belonged, as now, thoughts raced through his mind, and he knew that he had to try and speak once again, for the fact that he realized his current trouble of speaking only made him realize that he would actually be able to speak at some point, and soon, might need to. Besides that though, his small room also allowed him to think more. THe room was so plain, no colors, no emotion to it. It was a small room as well, and these factors allowed him to think since now, he was by himself. It did not take long as well for his attention to lay upon what exsactly everyone else was, thinking of the dusks, and then thinking of the people who he had been brought to, who had stared down upon him from their seats of power. And for the time being, he devoted his time to focusing on trying to figure out just what they were.

 

OOC: Yeah, I hear what you mean and I will be monitoring it. Fortunately, this RP moves slow enough that I will be able to watch posts and people in this group are pretty good so far with sharing moves and all. When the first official combat goes on between the planned enemies, (or if another fight ensues before that for some reason) we'll be able to see how people do. I do want to let people have some leeway and not be too stringent, but some people may also feel more comfortable saying intentions on some fights and letting me decide if it 'hits or not' in some cases. Really, we'll see how it plays out. I just don't want to basically have metagaming going on that will ruin anyone's fun. I almost wish this site had a dice bot that we could roll and higher roll would win the move, but eh, that can't happen, so we need to just put trust in each other and well, if it gets too bad, I will just make it so people claim intents and I flip a coin for who wins or not heh.

 

"Fine then i'm going back to the portal to The World That Never Was.I need to get some rest before we take that thing on so good bye" jack portalled to the portal and sat against the wall looking at the portal and thought of what lay behind it.His thoughts began racing; The minute we go passed that portal there will be no turning back.Demyx seems to be freaking out right now.what will happen when he goes into the The World That Never Was he'll just run away from the monster.Riku will stand and fight.Sora will stand and fight aswell but he is alot weaker than riku so he will go down before riku.Kairi will help when she can,if she can.Repliku will be just as powerful riku so i could count on him.Ansem can't fight so in all it'll be down to me and both riku's.It let Him into this, not unless this thing gets really serious and his thoughts continued to race...

OOC:Sorry about that friend thing.It was something i came up with when i was supposed to be doing religion reading in Religion class.I'll tell you through PM exactly what it is but i have given hints about it in Jacks temper on the islands.It ties in with his powers aswell.

 

OOC: Really, I prefer that characters do not change their pasts etc like this and give themselves 'powers' and 'allies' out of the blue. This is the reason I had original characters fill out character sheets. This -friend- thing I am just not seeing it happen and I am going to have to put my foot down though I hate to. You have to stop creating extra things out of the blue and also stop knowing -EVERYTHING-. Jack should not know all about Riku, the Organization, where this portal to TWTNW is, etc. If he did, he would have been destroyed or discovered long ago by people. He is not a better tracker and sneaker than the Org or DiZ or Xehanort's Heartless or Maleficent or Riku or Hades.

Please, I am asking you to get the character in grips because there's not much more I can do with the character if he is not toned down. He's powerful in about every way and can do anything and know anything. Characters that are from the games don't know everything. So, I'm seriously asking you to please make the character not a hoss like this. If he can't conform, I've bent as far as I'm going to and the character just will not fit.

 

Sombre nedded to DiZ

"Yeah, I really don't know what come over me then, I'll try and tone it down". she turned to the rest of the people.

"To change the subject and get back to polite conversation can I ask something?"she said. Before waiting for a reply she said," Where have you guys all been before? It seems like you have all seen so much but I'v been stuck on the islands all my life. What places have you seen and what are the people like ... just everything!"

 

OOC: Either way, I have no idea how I came to doing this paragraph for Saïx, though last night I was bit in the mood

Naminé would've gone, if the sudden break out of a near fight about to may happen didn't stop her as she froze, and she watched with surprised wide eyes as this man, Jack, it was, confronted both Demyx and Riku, smacked the two in the head, and she was aware they weren't going to sit back and allow him to do this, she knew immediately. Especially with Riku, it won't bode over well with him, and it didn't. She listened at the attempts to explain and speak to Jack now, yet she still did not move, and really, she wanted to see how this will be hopefully resolved. She did not want to witness a battle that was based of such a trivial argument, but she also didn't understand why Jack pursued the actions he had gone through with the two, which was uncalled for, though he was in the mindset that he figured they were going to fight. Nevertheless, violence against violence does not stop violence, and just made it worse. It had come to the point that even Riku went to draw his weapon, and her breathing became shallow, her hand grabbing her elbow in dread, worried glances following the three males involuntarily. It seemed that the Jack person might've had some adversities and problems with his darkness, and truthfully, she wasn't certain what to expect, or whether it was going to escalate to something else that didn't need to turn this serious.

It was there she heard Sora's response on all this, and while she tried to twitched a smile at the fact that he decided to come with her, what he said to Jack next made her flinch inwardly in a figurative aspect, and the situation didn't call for something this fragile to be broken by a unfitting cheerfulness. And she didn't feel to mean that smile either as the air got thicker, chilling her slightly at the sight of upset friends that was presented before her. She would ask Sora to join her now, or act a gesture, but with this problem, she was lost on the decision to speak up or not, or if the brown haired boy wanted to handle this first, to wait until everything was alright. So, she stood there for the while, watching as now Repliku also joined in, and Riku had said what he needed to say, however, things were much calmer than before, so this might end soon for the sake of everyone involved.






It wasn't hard to think that Larxene would've been, or was, interested at what these two men, would say. They were the only ones who she got "close" to, as far as what close could be in their cases, yet at times, she mostly regretted the decision. True, Marluxia had done nothing before worthy of anything negative from her part, but by this point, she knew better about the type he and Axel fall into. So, when she heard him say her name in response, she did nothing, but merely gazed at him quietly, to just study his expression as to figure out why his choice without outwardly asking as he didn't explain thoroughly. Larxene could exceptionally see the same glint that was all in Zexion's, Saïx's, and now, Marluxia's eyes, though his were much darker somehow, and that was enough confirmation for her many suspicions that she had thought when he first appeared. Now, they were just confirmed, and she smirked to herself again, shaking her head. Not in disbelief, or in surprise, no, this happened too many times for it to be a sort of shock anymore. It was more...like evidence of how the universe worked concerning people, if not, the vast majority. It was almost laughable, honestly. They really are all the same. Or maybe she had some kind of magnetism that brought trash and unworthy people to meet or talk to. She wasn't interested of finding Marluxia's exact reason on the stab of the back to join the scarred wounds there already as well, whichever stems reached to that path.

It didn't really matter either, as she had long been determined, in the present, at least, to depend on herself, and only herself, and remain separate from anything and anyone else, including any of the members at hand. She didn't owe anyone anything, and she pondered still what she was going to do if she did make it to Twilight Town. Obviously, there was no option for her to create her own portal, and she was not positive if it will lead to dangerous grounds if she did deviate in the Dark Corridor from the road to the wielders. Why she volunteered? To get out of this place, any is welcomed. Besides, it might be...fun. After all, she did not know who was in their little gang, and it might be...time for a reintroduction. For what felt like the longest time, she really did feel her body pumped and rushed, giddy at the awaiting interaction.

Would she do the job? Well, that was left up in the air too, but as it stands, she was the winner in this, despite not certain if it was what she wanted.

What she did want, was her damn tape recorder back, as he was done using the thing. It was by Marluxia's vote that it was clear she was the one to go off, as it was two against three, so might as well take her property back. Even if she wasn't to go, she would still want it. Larxene didn't conclude ot herself if she would continue the old habit of making her "tape diaries", yet, just in case...

She merely made a bored gesture to Marluxia with her hand to throw the object in return, though her attention was raised to Axel, wondering if his vote would even matter at all. Larxene laughed quietly, her own aquatic orbs glinting maliciously as her face turned sharper. It seems...his opinion wasn't important enough. She sent him a deceptive wink. "Guess I'm the chosen one. Hey, hey, don't worry. I'll be nice this time around and make a sacrifice, and sent your precious blond addiction some greetings on your part, and tell him how creepily obsessive you've been missing him to the point where it is best to remain 10 feet away from you for the actual hazard you provide. Any kid would love to hear that every day. Isn't that sweet of me?"

She sent him a tiny cheeky smile, before getting back to Marluxia, her expression amazingly switching to that of short lived patience as she waited for the item yet to be given in her possession.

Saïx was silent, listening to Larxene's very biting offer, and while some would think they would get tired of pursuing the same topic, he knew well why she kept hampering Axel on the same thread of line. Aim at the most sensitive and vulnerable spot, and that, with the Flurry Of Dancing Flames, was Roxas, the one who had "meant" to him more in this Organization. Or rather, anyone else. It was simple to figure it out on her problematic case. He could easily do the same, and, he had done so in the past with Sora by utilizing Kairi. He also wouldn't put it past the Nymph to actually speak ill of him to the boy if she did arrive. There was no doubt by the look on her face that she did enjoy inflicting this on the red haired man, for reasons to her own. Yet, there was something odd. For the most part, minus some witty quips, she had sat very calm for the current duration of this meeting, only contributing to conversation she started or were directed at her. Not once throughout did she fully went out of her way to deliberately insult someone out of the "spite" she now gloriously presented, and he pondered over what brought the result out of her. She had done this before, but there was always a difference between how the words are said out loud, and there was a off-key in there.

It was because of this he took to staring at her, and he could see by the tension on her body that something must've triggered the sudden need to lash out. Maybe, he was putting too much unnecessary thought into it, and she was merely being herself, but there was a certain atmosphere that he had never seen her have on the times when she was playing her games. He had to admit, Larxene was quite the specimen to study mentally, and Axel did nothing worthy of being at the end of what she had said, so why was he the victim of that onslaught? As Saïx contemplated this more, he decided that it was perhaps the extent of Axel's betrayal on her. It seems Marluxia, the damned traitor, who should not even be sitting here so comfortably, didn't do anything so atrocious as to harness the dislike. Or, "hate". The harder the sting, the harder it hurts. But, they couldn't feel anything of the kind expept physical pain. Yet, it was also good to note, that she also went to "part", so to speak, off the Graceful Assassin, a sort of different outlook on him from how she reacted when he first appeared. In fact, he had caught it when he gave the answer of choosing her, precisely.

It was the first time he had analyzed this much after a while, and to a member no less. It gave him a activity to invest himself in until the final act was taken by Xemnas, but he went to brush it off in the end.

It wasn't his concern.

Xemnas shook his head, so vague, that it seemed like the action did not even happen. Despite that at one side some were having their own moments, he had turned to his sixth member. "I do not know, Zexion. It could be in any certain point, however, it will be far from the castle, and pass the skyscraper. That's as far as I could specify without them close to here. As I stated, I'm not even certain whether I do want them to step into our territory. If they will come, we will meet them, depending on what they want with us, and it seems Larxene is the one headed for that role, considering only one has voted Xaldin." He turned his eyes to Larxene, who stared back idly. "I am sure you are 'happy', as far as that nonexistent emotion goes, considering it is what you wanted."

"Ecstatic," she deadpanned.

"As you should be," Xemnas replied shortly, not even bothering to point out once more her cold sarcasm, before putting both her and Axel on his line of vision now. The female hadn't gone as far enough to be put in her place, as he would have done as usual. If her demeanor continues, though... "However, despite the fact that his vote would not change that you will get chosen, it is still curious to see Axel's decision, if he is still willing to reel his choice. If not, then we might as well get you prepared, and I will open the portal for you to go into, and see if it will close, or stay. Perhaps, even a test run is in order first..."

With this said, looking down at the panel of floor in front of him in the center, he summoned a portal, the dark void appearing slowly like a burnt mark amongst all the white washed designs, waiting to see the result.

 

OoC: I might as well ask this now, when there is an OoC surge, opposed to later.

How much leeway can the org have with their past? For example, Demyx. I'm not entirely sure how far I can go when defining his life before the loss of his heart, or even the loss of his heart in general. So far I have avoided the topic, but at some point it may come up.

Oh, and as some of the org characters had few lines, are we allowed to add more personality to the, and branch out?

 

OOC: I thought we could do what we come up with, though that is a good question to ask. And since we're on this, the 14th member will never exist, right? I don't want to accidentally mention her at one point.

OOC: I'm kind of having a bad storm and the power keeps going out so I might have to be brief on this.

Basically as far as Org memories prior to them becoming Org members, well you can glean things off of their past kind of by how they 'react' so I don't mind some creativity filling in the blanks since I doubt we will learn of them in prior lives except possibly a bit more info on some of the top 6 members. So go ahead and fill in some stuff if you want. xD

As far as the 14th member goes, we know very little about her but just mentioning what we 'do' know wouldn't hurt as in saying at one time she was an Org member. It's probably best though to not mention her much until we see 358/2 Days and know about her more. So basically just use discretion if she happens to come up, I'd suggest.

I'll be back to post IC so feel free to continue but probably I won't be here till after school since I'm going to go ahead and leave here soon since this storm doesn't appear to want to abate. Later guys!

OOC: Xemnas can't open it alone. As said, it was going to have to be a team effort. And no one has been posting anything but OOC now so I'm kind of waiting on people to do or say something. If no one does by later tonight I'll try to get something up to get things moving again.

 

Demyx nodded slowly at Jack's portal. "I see..."
Demyx didn't really know what to think of Jack. He was a bit of an oddball. After all, he liked violence, and seemed to be possessed by darkness. Then again, he seemed adamant that he was in control. Was it a ruse, a lie? Or perhaps it was a delusion. Demyx didn't consider the possibility of the truth.
"So..." Demyx said, drawing out the word as he looked at the group. "Who's going? There's definitely, Sora and myself, but is anyone else? I really don't like the idea of taking more than two keyblade masters. It would just be too much of a loss."
Demyx looked at Repliku expectantly. "Do you want to come, or do you want to avoid the Organization?" Demyx then added in an undertone, "I would love to see Larxane's face at being saved by you!"
He glanced over at DiZ. "Personally, I believe you should stay behind, after all, we would need someone to co-ordinate the defense if we failed. You seem to be able to do some of that, so providing you don't go on a powertrip for revenge, I think you should be okay."

 

OOC: Group as in the Organization, or both groups? Cause then, if that's the case in the choice of both, considering the fact that they still have a way to go, what should I do now?
