Kingdom Hearts: Struggle for Earth

"E-chan!"Valerie gasped, going over to Eden. "Oh my gosh, you poor thing...."she said. Sora set the gummi ship on auto-pilot and joined Valerie, Riku doing the same. "Poor girl..."Sora frowned. Riku wrapped his arms around Eden in comfort.

 

"No!" Eden lashed out her right arm in fear, scratching everyone. "I don't need sympathy! I need a cure! How am I to protect my kin if I-" She noticed her damage- Sora a cut on the cheek, Riku a cut near the eye, and Valerie on the chest. "No... No..."

 

Riku didn't mind the cut-but he was very concerned. "Eden, calm down...."Sora frowned in concern. Valerie was very concerned for Eden.

 

Eden was trying to calm down, looking at the cuts. "I did that..." She panicked more, darkness tumbling inside to protect it's host. "No..." She breathed in, keeping it all in. She breathed out some darkness, a practice she had learned. It calmed her down enough to stop the spreading, it was at about half her face. She stood up, looking around. " I need a bathroom, to see how much it spreaded..."

 

"Right...past the rest area, first door to the left."Sora said. The three of them of were very concerned, mainly Riku. He's seen what the darkness does, but nothing like this. It honestly terrified him, wondering if the same would happen to him. Valerie noticed that Riku was starting to tremble at his thoughts.

 

Eden walked to the bathroom, locking the door. She undressed her shirt and sweatshirt, looking in the mirror. Her entire right arm and half of her face was covered, and a slight bit of the torso. Her right eye was like a Shadow's, and her canines were sharp as fangs. " Damn... That's bad..." she dressed back up, and got out the door. " It's pretty far... Up to the abdominals."

 

"Riku....you okay?"Valerie asked, looking at Riku. Riku was still scared of the situation. He only knew of the ability to control the Heartless...but absorbing darkness was a different story. Who knew how his body would react, seeing how it reacted to Edens body. He was too deep in thought of the situation, mumbling to himself. "Riku...."Valerie was alittle confused. Sora frowned, looking over to Riku.

"Hey, calm down.... Ri...."Sora sighed, wrapping his arms around Riku in a friendly embrace. Riku looked over to Sora, snapping out of his fear-induced trance at the sight of his concerned best friend. "I...I'm sorry..."Riku said, shaking his head. "Don't scare us like that..."Sora frowned, not letting go. "Um... Sora, you can let go now..."Riku was alittle nervous that Sora didn't let go. Sora pulled away, alittle embarassed. "ah...sorry..."he coughed to try and hide his embarassment. Valerie giggled a bit.

 

Eden looked at Riku, going to pat him on the back with her dominant arm... But then quickly switched to the left, she didn't want to hurt him again on accident. "It's grown to the start of my stomach, and my eye got some too." She pointed to her right heartless eye, a deep yellow. "It seems to grow when I use darkness... Or my darkness starts spiking." She observed her arm, and put it over her eye- she needed to test how well she could see. She noticed a faint glow, seeing it come from the chest of Riku, Sora, and Valerie. She started noticing it through the walls. "So this is how Shadows always find us... That's quite the trick to have."

 

Wesely watched the events unfold. This is bad, shes turning and these kids won't do the safe thing. I'm not going to die because they want to live in a happy little world. Wesely lookedat the map on his phone again, "hey I need the piolet back up here."

 

Eden nodded to Wesely, running to the pilot's chair. She looked to the buttons, noticing something saying the auto-pilot was on. She sighed heavily, taking off her sweatshirt to look at her arm. She had a short sleeved shirt, so she would cool down easier. She traced where her blood vessels would be on her arm. "I will not allow myself to be turned into a Heartless. I will decide when I am left behind, or killed."

 

Jeffrey stood there for a second. He had been watching the scene silently, too afraid to say anything. He sighed and scratched the back of his neck. "There has to be something we could do..." he said. "Kairi brought you back to human when you were a Heartless, right, Sora? Do you think she can help suppress Eden's darkness?"

 

Eden frowned, flexing her claw. "Kairi's heart was in Sora, that might have had been the reason he could come back. I don't know if this is the same situation." She looked at Jeffery, seeing a faint twinkle. "Heh, I can see your heart."

 

Kairi, who had been watching the events with alarm, shook her head. "Its like Eden said. My heart was with Sora so I could use the light to call him back. Eden and I don't possess the same link, so really, she'd need to find someone that's close to her. Maybe someone she cares about could actually help her past this.. and her transformation isn't exaclty the same. Most people who turn into heartless do so instantly. Eden isn't. ISn't that a bt strange?"

Monica opened her eyes, having fallen asleep from the pain of the wound and the stress of the recent events. She stood up, wincing slightly, and realized the atmosphere had changed. It wasn't the same air of concern of before, but rather worry and fear. Monica frowned. New problems had arised.

 

"I've never seen anything like this....Riku hasn't-"Sora looked over to Riku. Riku was off in his own corner, trying to stay away from the others. The stress of the situation was causing the darkness inside him to stir. He could hear the darkness whispering to him, trying to lure him back into submission with its sweet tone. "Shut up...."Riku groaned, trying to soothe his migraine. "Um...who's Riku talking to?"Valerie asked.

 

Eden stood up, going to Riku. She whispered good soothing words, hugging him. "Riku, I know you are stronger then before. You just need to breath out the bad energy." Her darkness mingled with his own, an odd mix.

 

Sora looked over to Riku and Eden, wondering why Riku was so concerned. Sure they were on the same boat, having trouble with the darkness....but... "You're not getting jealous, are you?"Valerie asked with a small smirk. "What? Why would I be jealous that someones talking to my best friend?"Sora asked. "You wouldn't....unless you see Riku as more than a friend...."Valerie chuckled. Sora looked at Valerie with a suprised look. "Of course not!"he said, blushing from embarassment.

"I think your friend is trying to tease my friend."Riku chuckled, watching the duo.

 

Eden nodded, looking at the small glow of Riku. "I can see your heart. I can see every heart through this eye..." she pointed at her yellow eye, a bit proud of this ability. "I'm sorry about the cut, I should go get the first aid kit."

 

"Its nothing serious. Nothing a band-aid can't fix."Riku chuckled. He looked over to Sora and Valerie as the two argued a bit. "Heh, he's so much like a puppy...."he smirked. "I heard that!"Sora whined, pouting. Riku just chuckled at the pout. "I have to admit that pout is cute..."he said. Sora couldn't help but turn a light shade of red. "well its true."Valerie said.

 

Eden looked at her black arm again, remembering that she had to find someone close to her to reverse this. "Maybe... But... He's a heartless by now."

 

"Hmph...I wonder who would be able to change me back if I became a Heartless...."Riku thought out loud, unintentionally. "Sora."Valerie said. "what? why me?"Sora asked. "Because you two have basicly known eachother since you were babies."Valerie said. "True..."Sora blushed a bit.
