Kingdom Hearts II Kingdom Hearts/Star Wars

Ok, well we all know the huge similarity between Xemnas and Star Wars (freakin' lightsabers for crying out loud) and his use of the lightning (which resembles Lord Sidius's lightning very similarly [is that a word!?!?]). But would this be enough to cause a LAWSUIT!!!!!!! Actually, I think it's a dumb idea and would never happen (since it hasn't already) but me and my friend were talking talking about it.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Flames? Etc?

 

I don't know when me and my friend first fought him we were like were those lightsabers, and what if he started to use the force? We were joking around with it. Anyway what exactly is his power?

 

Xemnas has the power of nothingness, I think. *coughcopyrightinfringementcough*

But anyway, the lightsabers always make me laugh. I drew a picture about it once. But I don't think it's enough for a lawsuit. The weapons obviously aren't lightsabers because of the beating Riku took in the last battle. If they were lightsabers, he would have been sliced in half.

Can't say since I haven't watched a single Star Wars movie so I dunno no a thing bout the main characters and such.

But based on what I can see, their should be no lawsuits involved. I mean there's tons of stuff that Xemnas has that's probably not shown anywhere in Star Wars. I mean sure the things he used looked a lot like lightsabers, but could lightsabers shoot tiny missle thingys, NO. So in some ways it was an original idea. (heck, he didn't even use a handle -_-)

I'd be so mad if someone sued Square Enix! Copying is the highest form of flattery, right? I'd be like "Oh, look, lightsabers! Cool! More people will probably buy the super cheap ones for cosplay now! We won't sue you guys."

 

I thought it was kinda cool how kh has similaritys to star wars cos there my kh is my fave game and star wars has to be my all-time favourite film! SO NO FLAMING!:yelling:

 

Wasn't planning on it. :D I liked Star Wars too(It's just not my FAVORITE movie. If you want info on that, look up the FF7 movie)

There could be more similarities to Star Wars made really if people wanted to go through and attempt to draw similar conclusions. However, the same stuff from Star Wars really comes from eastern philosophy in a lot of ways.

The lightsabers are an obvious one
Darkness and Light - The Sith use the Dark Side of the Force and the Jedi use the Light Side of the Force
Path of Twilight - (Gray area in Star Wars) some Jedi or Dark Jedi would be here deciding if they go to Light or Dark.

Though they all recognize Light and Dark are needed and most people (without the direct influence of the Force) are a sort of medium of both creative and destructive tendencies) the people with links to the Light side or Dark side must make a choice where they go to advance and become closer to that.

Lucas though wouldn't sue for these things because as I said before, the concepts of Light and Dark etc exist even in the Dao with Yin and Yang and it is all pretty recognizable to come from that in part at least. The Force is a concept explanation by Lucas of the Dao and Aikido stuff. Nomura and some others really are fans of Star Wars but I don't believe they tried to do anything off of it really. The story seems pretty different. If Lucas didn't sue Eragon, I suppose he wouldn't sue Nomura heh.
