~MISSION COMPLETE~ IX. Guard Armor​

As Kel dealt the final blow, the heartless began to twitch and the parts began to shake vigorously. The guard Armor jittered and clanked trying to keep together until it stopped moving all together. The gauntlet arms were the first to fall, followed by the torso. The head stood in the air for a split second before dropping and rolling to the party's feet. The lifeless parts stood scattered on the ground with nothing but silence until a small glow arose from the top of the torso. The glow increased as the heartless' heart began to float out of the empty cast and receded into the sky causing the armor to slowly fade back into darkness.
"No! No! NOO!" Prince John yelled from behind. "I refuse to let you flee when you are in my clutches!"
"Now now silly king, a good man knows when he's beat," Robin replied. For some one who was nearly beheaded, robin kept a calm demeanor as if he knew things would work out.

(OOC - Just thought I would try out fun little gifs for when missions are completed)

 

Aden found a family of skunks and was ushering them out of their home before the flames hit when he saw a Heartless off in the distance, floating closer and closer. Summoning his Keyblade, he made sure the skunks were in the clear and running out of the forest before pummeling the Heartless until it went up in a puff of dark smoke, relinquishing a small pink heart that floated up to the sky. Letting the Keyblade vanish, he flew off in search of more stagglers or Heartless—whichever he saw first.

"How dare you! I am the Rrroyal King of this land and I will not be spoken to that way be mere peasants. I wear the crown, therefore, I have the power to do whatever I want!" he stood from behind his cowardly hiding spot behind his seat, and proceeded to diligently sit at his throne.
"If it weren't for Rrrrichard, I would be leading England with an iron paw for years."
"And what happens when the true king of England returns? I suspect you'll be out of a job," Robin replied humorously.
"Ah hah, but that's the ingenious part. Thanks to Hiss's hypnosis, my idiot brother thinks he is off gallivanting on a false crusade. It will take him months- No no.. Years before he returns to Nottingham!"

 

"This really isn't looking good for any of us is it?" Karina thought to herself. "No matter, I am not going to give up! I don't quit." She finished her thought then charged forward to attack.

"So long as it isn't here, who cares my young peasant. If not for you all trying my patience, I could be rich beyond all measure. So what if you've defeated me? I am still King! The second you give the gold back, I will collect it again. No matter the outcome, the King always comes out on top!"
"You're correct on one that note," a deep voice agreed in the distance. Everyone was confused as to the whereabouts of the voice until the front gate flew open. The first to run through was Maid Marian, who was followed by a bigger Lion with a long mane who angrily strutted into the room. In one hand, he held a walking cane, and in the other, a tied up sac.
"-But you aren't the true king are you little brother? he concluded.
"You!" Prince john shrieked. "Wh-what are you doing here?"
"After a most brief trip to Israel, my young niece wrote and explained everything, snapping me back from my hypnotized state. "Once I learned how poorly you were running things, I came back without a moment to lose."
"Bu-but how did she know?! he asked frightened. The once proud speaking lion was now reduced to a stuttering cat.
"You brag about it constantly, and to confirm it, we even managed to get a small confession from a reliable source," Marian explained.
King Richard threw the bag he was holding in front of Prince John. A loud "Ouch!" was heard as the sac hit the ground. The voice was familiar and whiny almost.
"Hiss?! Is that you?"
"S-sorry sire..." The snake spoke from inside the bag.

"Well executed my darline. I expected nothing less," Robin added after seeing all the evidence. This caused Marian to blush a little.

Karina didn't know what to do next. She looked at Krowley to see if he had any suggestions. She was out of magic and because of the poison puddles she couldn't attack without getting poisoned herself. If she attacked anyway there was a good chance of her surviving unless the tree attacked her. She didn't want to take the risk so she decided to wait this round out and let the puddles disappear before doing anything.

 

Krowley looked towards his fellow party members and the sludge that lay around them. Relieved that they had deciphered that running through such ooze was dangerous, but concerned on what they could be doing instead. He was out of Magic and items, as was everyone else. The only usable defense was the 2 Aeros from Luna's past summoning. He could manage with his current defense, but the others needed a boost. Everyone, including the unversed, was below half health. He only hoped they could manage to take him down before they all fainted.
