Little John had made it out with the villagers, and the party was soon to follow, when a magical barrier had been forged.
"Now that is just rude. Here I am, putting up with all this incompetence, and you have THE NERVE to leave unannounced?!" Nequa shouted from the higher balcony.
Nequa was playful, but when angered, became very hot headed. A very impatient and threatening child-like personality, it was hard to tell whether or not this is how she really acted. Much of her planning seemed cunning, but she always laughed things off in the face of her adversaries.
"I was hoping to save this for another time, but you've really pushed me to my limits." Snapping her fingers, a giant metal heartless, dropped from above. Without limbs, this metal guard had sharp gauntlets, hammer legs, and a bell shaped torso. More than doubling their size, it was an intimidating sight.
"And you!" She pointed to a hiding Prince John, who was cowardly hiding behind his throne. "Grow a mane!"
As strange as it was, those were her final words before leaving through a dark corridor.

Robin watched in Astonishment. He then proceeded to turn the remaining keyblade wielders. "Well then, let's hurry the clean up so we can get to our loved ones, shall we?" Reaching for his belt, he pulled out a few potions and gave them to the party. "Never go anywhere unprepared. Words for thought, my merry men."

Anora received 1 Potion!
Kel received 1 Potion!
Yana received 1 Potion!

~MISSION START~ IX. Guard Armor

Vanitas watched the hag scamper off and awaited to stall the hero's party. He didn't need to wait long as they appeared through the thick fog to confront him.
"Where is she?" Krowley asked grudgingly.
"Don't know. don't care."
"We know those inversed creatures came from you! We know a lot more about what's going on."
"UNversed. And I fail to see what real knowledge you've gathered."
"I know you're here for Snow White. One of the princesses of heart."
Vanitas paused for a moment of silence. "Well, that does complicate things, doesn't it."
"Welcome to my entire day." he replied.
"So now that you've 'cornered' me, what do the heroes intend to do?"

 

"Is that a challenge?" Karina said with more confidence then she should. She didn't really know too much about this guy at all but her cockiness would take over sometimes. She felt a lot more ready for a fight then she did last time. And if they had to fight him fine, of not even better. That would be one less block in her path to moving forward. Where forward would take her she had no idea. All she knew is that it would take her away from the place she once called home.

 

Vanitas seemed very hesitant on attacking them. He was holding his keyblade, and readying his finger,s but he never stepped forward.
"Fighting me isn't a challenge. It's a death wish."
"Care to test that theory?" Krowley yelled back, summoning his own keyblade.
"I would more than be happy to erase you all. But you see, rules have been set for me."
"Rules?" he asked confused.
"I can test you, but not by my own hand. You see, the abductions are all part of his plan. anything I do here are his orders, not mine."

As Bambi raced through the forest, he stopped at the horrific sight that lay before him.
The entire southern half of his natured home was engulf in flames. animals were scurrying away in packs, as the fire was spreading.
"Great Prince" a familiar voice shouted. Friend owl, flapped exhaustively and fell to the ground.
"Friend owl. What.. what happened here?"
"The man. The man in black in white. H-he came back. He used something to set fire to the forest. It wasn't a gun though...the fire that came out was dark. I-it was."
"Save your energy," Bambi requested sympathetically. My friends and I will see what's amiss. For now, run to the Northern end with any other animals you can find."
"Be careful... He's still there." the owl timidly replied as he set off again.

"So basically you are saying he is too scared to fight us himself so he sends you. And you are too scared to fight us so you send someone else? hmph that is a bit pathetic in my opinion." Karina stated as she summoned her keyblade and readied herself for a fight.

 

Aden's gaze steeled at the destruction. "Aux... It sounds like he's using magic to set fire to the forest."

He turned to the others. "We need to stop this, now."

"Coward... Pathetic... Just words that mean the same thing. But if we're throwing phrases back and forth, here's one to describe your banter."
A dark aura surround vanitas, giving form to the shape of a large creature in front of him. he darkness gave it the shape of a tall and wide figure. Waiting for the shroud of shadow to subside, an unversed was revealed. The first trait to be spotted were the signature eye shape of the unversed. Red and almost sorrowful. The next came all at once; a large, dark tree, with thick branches and flexibly tangible roots. Atop it's branches, dangled sickly looking apples and dark green leaves. The monstrous plants stood tall, blocking any route to the masked boy.
"Concluded."
With nothing more to add, he resentfully retreated towards the castle leaving the giant treant to do his bidding.

"How the forest burns..." Aux stood, watching the deadly flames cover tree by tree. The woodland creatures were fleeing from the scene in time for Bambi and company to arrive. Turning to face them he crossed his arms in disappointment. "I still sense no darkness from you... I have taken your family and now your home. What else is their to take?"​

Bambi stood his ground and firmly walked forward. The once timid and cowardly fawn had grown into a proud and noble buck, who strutted towards the man without hesitation or fear.​

"The heart is so much more vast than you realize. It's in more than just family and home. It's with everyone you meet and befriend."​

The forest continued to burn as Bambi shed a tear.​

"You can burn my home and kill all you can, but if it's to bring out my darkness in me, then I'm sorry to disappoint... Because the light within me is far too great."​

Tilting his head as a questionable response, he replied; "Then the result are... inconclusive. Pity."​

He summoned a pair of small group of fire spitting heartless and sent them into separate directions.​

"When an experiment fails. Salvage what is re-usable, and incinerate the rest. None of you are salvageable." He said heartlessly before fleeing through a dark corridor.​
