Karina just gave Kel a bit of a nod, but as soon as they were dismissed she walked off, offering no other conversation. She was tired, and annoyed, and still a little stressed about what happened with her father, so she was ready for some rest. Apparently there was a while for rest as Karina had originally thought they had the night, which she spent alone, turned into several days. For the most part she trained and kept to herself during their days off, but made an effort to actually figure out whatever this all was with Beuce, without taking up all his time. Just when he had time to spare for her. Besides that it was filled largely with her trying to make herself feel more powerful after her father took her confidence down a few notches.

When it was finally time to leave, she found her way to the ship and let it take them to the next world. She didn't know what she trusted less, auto pilot, or one of the others trying to fly the ship. Neither seemed like a safe option. She was just relieved that they managed to land safely, though in a strange location. A forest with trees that had other things pained on them. She walked over to the tree with a tree painted on it and looked quizzically at it. "No clue why they would do this." She said running her hands over it, trying to give it a better inspection than Faust did.

He spent most of the day over looking the sky alone. While he was able to relax somewhat he knew that it would not and could not last forever. The days went on more or lest with nothing happening and for the most part he kept to himself as he thought about the last couple days and the trail.

Soon they left on got onto a ship and landed. Everyone found themselves in a barren forest where the trees cast shadows that looked disturbed and haunting. They found themselves in a clearing surrounded by several trees, each with interesting symbols on them. A colorful egg, a turkey, a Christmas tree, a heart and various other ones. Faust then said, 'wonder what's up with this? you don't normally see someone carve a tree into another tree at least from what I've seen.' Followed by Karina saying, 'No clue why they would do this.' As he looked around the various tree they all had a symbol of some sort. "I do not know why be the they likely represent or mean something. People or whoever did this just don;t typically just carve something into the tree for the fun of it it has to be here for a reason or mean something perhaps it is a clue to some sort of puzzle?" He then pointed to one with the shape of a heart. "This one for example is rather common were i come form or use to be just not anymore, anyways this heart means love between two people usually but normally there is letters and not just a heart. It looks almost unfinished in this state." As he looked around at the rest of the trees they were all different. "Maybe there is a common thread between all the trees." After he had a good look at more of them he was sure he could figure it out.

After some much needed rest they had gotten on a ship and left for Halloween Town. There was some comfort in the ship piloting itself to their destination. More comforting than the idea of one of them pressing the wrong button and killing the oxygen again. Thankfully that wouldn't happen with the auto pilot right? Well it was a possibility it was one that didn't happen as they landed in a creepy forest. "Is that a...Christmas tree?" Kel mused. He recognized the turkey and the egg, albeit a weird color, was still an egg. Of course he couldn't explain why they were all carved into trees, but the he got closer to that tree in particular and yeah. That was definitely a Christmas tree.

Aux stepped into the dark forest, looking around at all the dead tress surrounding him. He looked to each of the trees with a symbol painted on them. Each one of them had a very old a rustic doorknob that was roughly the size of an egg. He tried to open the one with the turkey o it but it was locked. "This one's locked," he called back. He turned to find Karina inspecting the Christmas Tree.

The doorknob on the Christmas door had been jimmied and forced open as a thick lay of black ink corroded Karina's fingers as she ran her hand over the door. Wet paint, maybe? Either way it looked to be an open door. "Anything on that door?" he asked Karina.

Stepping out of the Gummi Ship, the strange looking blocky vessel that Quill questioned already, they found themselves in a dark autumn forest. Quill hadn't seen a living forest in so long, his world's plant life dead and infected. Squatting down, Quill felt the texture of easily crumbling leaves and the smooth oak roots on the ground. It was...tranquil. In it's own way. "So this is...what other worlds are like..." The faintest of smiles showed on his face before returning to the group.

Walking close the trees, his claw like fingers lightly grinded against some of the oak of each tree. Faint scratch marks appeared, except for on the pictures of the various symbols. The paint that clearly made these holiday icons didn't smudge or chip no matter the force. Very strange. Approaching the door with the large pumpkin on it, echoes of the conversation Quill had with Beuce the night before rung in his head...Was Quill really ready for this? Though the long conversation they had that night gave Quill hope for improving his skills and tapping into his aura...Quill had his doubts. "This door...the doorknob seems jammed." Taking a knee and getting closer, Quill attempted to jimmy the lock too. Something about the door called to him.

Karina let out a long sigh as AJ spoke. "Thanks AJ, even I know what a heart is." She stated before looking back to the tree that Kel referred to as a Christmas tree, something she herself had never know much about. Though as she looked at it, she realized that the black along the outside was not a shadow or an outline, but ink of some sort. Karina wrapped her fingers around the edge of the door that seemed to have been somewhat opened. "Yeah, there is something here, and I think I know what it is. I am going to kill that oversized rat." Karina said back to Aux as she thought about Mortimer, or more accurate the inky form that they learned how to take quite a while before. He was the only one out side of the SoS crew that she knew of that knew how to use it. Karina tugged on the door as hard as she could, she was going to chase that rat down and be sure to murder him this time.

As he looked at the trees Kel said, 'Is that a...Christmas tree?' "Looks like it." Then it clicked in his mind. "It all makes sense. This is Halloween town." With Aux pointing out that each tree had a very old a rustic doorknob that was roughly the size of an egg. "This world must be like game central station with each tree acting like a portal to a different world that is holiday themed." He told Kel. 'Thanks AJ, even I know what a heart is.' He was not talking to Karina in particular. Then he thought on what she had said. Um..." He thought it best not to say anything elce. 'Yeah, there is something here, and I think I know what it is. I am going to kill that oversized rat.' He looked at the door some more and noticed that there was black along the outside of the door was not a shadow or an outline, but ink of some sort. That was not good. "The option to use our keyblade to unlock the doors is always a option if need be." he said offhandedly. He did not see a reason to do so tho. "So why is there no Halloween tree?" he asked no one in particular not really spotting one near by.

Aux was confused by the holiday comment by AJ. None of these were holidays he had ever heard of. Christmas tree did remind him of home though. Plenty of pine trees back on his homeworld. He was even more confused at the oversized rat comment from Karina.

    "
She means an actual rat, doesn't she?" He asked bluntly to Beuce.

As they continued to investigate, a young high pitched voice interrupted them.
"What kind of costumes are those!?"

Behind them were three children in Halloween costumes. A girl in a witch costume, a boy with a devil costume and another boy with a skeleton costume. They all wore creepy masks as they hopped out of their walking bathtub.

"They don't even look scary!" The skeleton boy added.
"We should tell the pumpkin king and have them punished the devil snickered.

After AJ brought up the possibility of a connection between the trees, Kel looked away from the one he was staring at in order to stare at the other ones that were surrounding them and the only real connection that he could guess between them all was just the fact that they all strangely shaped doors painted onto them. Nothing about that seemed like it would guide them in the right direction. Karina's offhanded remark about murdering an oversized rat had warranted some notable confusion as there weren't a lot of rats off the top of his head that he could think she'd want to kill.

Now considering all of the talking animals that he's come across, seeing three kids in masks hop out of a bathtub wasn't the oddest of things. "What costumes?" Kel asked as he cocked his head, examing the costumes of the three briefly then straightening his head out. "And who is this pumpkin king?"

"Why Oogie Boogie of course!" The devil boy spoke out. "And we're his loyal assistants! Lock!"
    "Shock!" The witch girl added.
"And Barrel!" The skeleton boy spoke out.

The three of them hopped back into their walking bathtub and giggled as their bathtub carried them away. The group was now left with 2 choices... on the road to Halloweentown awaited Oogie Boogie. And on the road to Christmas town was a horrible inkling from their past.

Eventhough they had been sent here to deal with Oogie Boogie, Kel hadn't been expecting to be handed a direct means of getting to him. It felt way too simple given that he seemed to be called the Pumpkin King here. As the three kids and their bathtub walked off, he glanced back at the ink-covered Christmas tree that had stuck out to him as well. Karina at the very least seemed to be deadset on going there to kill a rat. "Well given that there are at least two things right now we should look into," he paused to pull out the gummi phone from his pocket "now might be a good time to do that contact exchange thing that DJ had mentioned when we got these. Given our track record, we could use the extra help in keeping in contact with one another."

Karina just glanced over at Kel for a moment then back to the door. She reached into her pocket and shoved her gummie phone at Kel. "Here figure out how to do it yourself. I am going to get this door open." While Kel did that she braced one foot on the tree and ripped the door open with as much strength as she could muster before glancing inside. "I am going after that damn rat. And yes Aux it is a literal, gross, disgusting, Son-of-a-rat that we didn't get to deal with properly before you are yours destroyed Disneytown and threw us in the Realm of Darkness and now I am going to finish the job." Karina wasn't going to give him the ammo of the fact that Mortimer kissed her. She instead just snatched her phone back from Kel and without looking back again walked through the door.

Aux went on about some rat the continued to go on. 'What kind of costumes are those!?' A voice of what were children raiding in a bathtub had said. 'We should tell the pumpkin king and have them punished ' He was not sure who the pumpkin king could be. He first thought was some sort of monster with a pumpkin head. The only other thing he could think of was Oogie Boogie as they were told he was on this world. Before he could say much on the matter the three children said they would take them to Oogie Boogie. That was fart and it also seemed far to easy at the same time. 'now might be a good time to do that contact exchange thing that DJ had mentioned when we got these. Given our track record, we could use the extra help in keeping in contact with one another.' He turned to kel to ask him something but, Karina reached into her pocket and shoved her gummie phone at Kel. 'Here figure out how to do it yourself. I am going to get this door open.' Well that was kind of aggressive but he said nothing on the matter. With Karina had walking through the door and nothing that could be done at the moment he turned his attention back to Kel. "Doesn't this seem all to easy finding Oogie Boogie? While this could be a trap of some sort and there is defiantly more at play with this pumpkin king thing. We still should not past up this opportunity. I guess we should be on guard." he said offhandedly. Not sure what this pumpkin king other then the fact that this children may in fact think Oogie Boogie was the king here which might be true but could also be dangerous.

With the strange children's suprise arrival, the strange costumes of the kids gave Quill the heeby jeebys. They all seemed so...demented in a sense. It was hard to parse their babbling but Quill recognized the name from the recent meeting. "Oogie Boogie? You work for him. Hey! Wait we need some answer you brats-" Before Quill could approach they hopped into...a bathtub of all things. And it carried them away! "What the hell...Ok I'm gonna give chase. We meet back here to rendezvous alright?" Quill saw part of the group hopping into the tree shaped door, looking for their own Hellfire Club targets. Seeing Kel, Luna, Kaida and AJ still mulling over things Quill thought it best he scout ahead. "I'll take Point team, try figuring out where the kids are going and fall back to give you guys the intel." Quill felt kinda good to use his military lingo again, bringing back better times of his training. He wouldn't stop a person or two from tagging along to watch his six, but Quill wasn't choosey.

    Disembark
Objective: Blend into Christmastown or Halloweentown
    Information: Find Oogie or Blotimer!
    Reward: 20,000 EXP

Halloweentown Storyline - Quill, AJ, Luna, Kel, Kaida
Christmastown Storyline - Karina, Aux, Faust, Beuce

Aux wasn't sure what this guy did that ticked off Karina at this point, but he had given up questioning her train of thought. He assumed it was an ex-boyfriend or other abusive family. He looked back to AJ as the blonde boy again questioned the lack of difficulty in their quest to find Oogie. "It's better not to ask," he quickly remarked as he inspected the Christmastown tree further.

Quill had already yelled to the group as he raced off."I don't that guy has anyone's contact info..." Aux shrugged before offering to exchange his phone info with Kel. "Good luck on your half."

Kel and Aux have exchanged numbers.

Aux peered into the snowy abyss of the inside of the tree as he descended through a blizzard-like portal, hopping out the other side into a more colder terrain. Everything was snow covered and the city nearby was brimming with lights and festivity. It was a very jolly scene to behold, making Aux very out of his element. "I changed my mind. I liked the spooky place better..."

Karina stumbled through the tree, finding herself falling into the snow before her. Looking around it was bright and cheery and lights were everywhere, including on her nose... on her nose? Karina reached up and tried to grab the glowing light off her nose to no avail. "Damn this blend, the magic must be broken or something this is stupid." Karina mumbled as she found herself in a wintery dress with reindeer antlers, and a glowing nose. "Well at least that ink from before should be easy to spot." She stated to no one in particular, though she knew that Aux was behind her. She didn't want to draw attention to herself and the current state blend put her in. Instead Karina started to look around for some trail to follow so she could kill the rat and get out of that place.

Luna found herself in a strange forest with the others. What had appeared in front of them were various trees with strange markings and a doorknob on them. The group discussed amongst themselves on what these strange trees might be. Luna took a step forward and closed her eyes to ponder for several moments.

As she was pondering, three children had appeared in front of the group wearing odd costumes. The children and the others were talking for several moments, however, Luna was still struggling with those odd trees. Once the children had left, Luna placed her fist into the palm of her hand. "
Ah! Feriae!! That is what it is!" Luna turned back towards the others before scratching her head. "My apologies, Feriae is what you all would call holidays? Is that the word you all would use? You'll have to excuse me, english is not my primary language."

The group had to split into two separate groups. One would go through the door that had depicted a colorful tree while the other group would head into town. Luna nodded her head as Karina, Aux, Beuce, and Faust made their way towards the door.

Luna stared towards the road ahead which she assumed led into town. A sudden feeling of danger ran through her body. It was as if something was telling her to be cautious. Quill had then decided to take point and scout what lied further ahead. Luna shook her head. "
I do not think going alone would be the best option." She paused. "We need to be cautious from here onward. I have an ill feeling that there's more that awaits us than what we expect." She paused once more and then turned to Quill. "Regardless of how much experience one has, it's best to have someone else watching your back. I am not opposed to the idea, however, I just believe someone else should accompany you."

Luna took another step ahead before another strange feeling passed through her.

Luna looked back at Quill. "
Would you mind if I accompanied you? I would like to get a good glimpse of everything myself. I wish to know what it is that we are dealing with in this world as well as have a better understanding of our surroundings." Luna had then walked off ahead before turning back to Kel. "Kel, can you three keep an eye and ear out behind us? The more eyes, the better our guard." Luna nodded her head before walking straight ahead. As she was walking, she felt something move behind her but she didn't pay too much attention towards it.

Quill sees the adamant look on Luna's face, she was going to budge on this. Not that he minded the backup.
"Yeah, come along then. An extra set of eyes is good. I..Agh!" Quill felt dizzy for a moment, like...well he couldn't describe well but a strange sense of vertigo. Nearly falling, he caught himself on a tree. "Sorry...I'm fine." It was like, he could sense something out of ordinary. Was this...his aura? The feeling passed quick, Quill returned to his upright stance. Turning back to Kel, Kaida and AJ he put on a tough face. "Be safe and watch each others backs alright? I'm getting a strange feeling we're not dealing with more than the Hellfire Club on our end."

Walking ahead, he slowed his pace to stay along with Luna's. As they entered the town proper, the strange magic the others spoke about began creating an illusory appearance. Quill was near ecstatic for a moment, hoping to see something different than his disfigured mutations. Yet a glimpse at a puddle of water only made his face sour again... "Erm, thank you for accompanying me. This is...still new to me but I want to prove myself worthy for this group and our mission. Even if recently I haven't been doing much of either..." He kept his story vague but telling the princess more about his failure at training his Earth Aura did help get it off his chest. "Perhaps Eraqus is right about me...he is an expert on all thing Light." He realized he was laying a lot on the young woman he hardly knew, apologizing quickly. "Sorry, just had a lot on my mind. I'm not...the best at small talk. Um, hey I was curious...are you really a Princess of Light? Like the ones they debriefed us about at the meeting?"

As they spoke they reached a graveyard, dotted with lit pumpkins. A sewer ran through the area, the water a sickly green. Spiked fence gates, warped looking metal, surrounded the area the area. Strangely the children's tracks ended here...

Aux's blend had taken root as well and traded his plaid pruple shirt for a festive santa coat. He also gained a santa hat to top off his head. He honestly hadn't taken much notice since he was so accustomed to having a hat before... He looked at Karina almost dismissively as he got a quick look at her new form. He still didn't know where he fully stood for her, so his attention instead went to the matter at hand. In the snow, they found frozen blobs of inkling footprints welded into the snow. The footprints seemed to be going into the local town below. Whoever this mystery rat-man was he was apparently going to cause trouble. "Sooner we find the guy, sooner we go back to spookytown..." Aux replied. He began walking on ahead, not paying attention if Karina followed or not.

"It may be too easy, but it's really all we got to go off." AJ was right in both this being a potential trap and that they should remain on guard. It wasn't ideal by any means, but they didn't have a lot of options really. Now despite having only done it once before, Kel was able to replicate the process of adding Karina's number to his phone, after she had shoved her own at him, just in time for the latter to snatch her phone back and leave. So far he was up to two numbers, which was more than enough for him to keep in contact with the other group right now. He gave Aux an appreciative nod before turning in the direction that Quill had gone off. He was going to go alone, but Luna tagged alone beforehand. "Yeah, we can do that." And so Kel waited a bit before following behind the two, not noticing at first the more patched-together look that blend had given him for this world right away.
