By the time her fathers footsteps faded, Karina was curled up on the floor in pain. She had never been good at handling her emotions, and while she was doing better as of late, being left in prison like this only made her more angry. She didn't even have to start yelling for the collar to go off, all it took was her thinking about it too much. It was hard not to think too much about it though when between the silence and the cuffed hands it was abundantly clear just how much she messed up. On top of that it was torture to just be able to see and hear her friends but not be able to go to them. She wished that she could at least see them once more again before she was carted away to get married, but her father would never allow that. He already told them that she had run away and was gone. There was no returning to them, not when she was stuck down there.

Soon Karina heard a familiar voice again as she sat up to glance at her tv. Her father had arrived to bring the first person to trail and scatter her friends. Well it was nice seeing all of them while it lasted but now they were leaving and Karina was getting nervous for Kaida. Did Kaida even know who she was dealing with? She spoke optimistically, but Karina saw it as otherwise. Her father had promised to prosecute them to the highest degree because of her, she was going to get Kaida in even more trouble. "Kaida, do-" Before Karina could yell out at the screen, again she was shocked and Karina slouched forward again, just barely able to catch Kel's question. She couldn't help but wonder what he would reply to that.

As Faust came back from his trip down memory lane he shook his head slightly as he turned his gaze back to barkeep. He paused for a second to try and remember the description that Beuce had given him back in the cells. “Hey I’m looking for someone, seen a girl about ye high, dark hair and always looks like she is mad at existence itself?” Faust asked in his usual smile.

The barkeep eyed him for a second before returning back to polishing the same glass he had been when Faust had arrived. With a gruff reply he answered “Your the first new face today. If you really want to find her go ask some guard, brat”

Taking a another sip of whiskey Faust shot back “Look i’m needing to find her with minimum governmental help if you're catching on.”

Xares appeared and Anants rolled her eyes towards Vanitas. "If you want to know how we can trust each other so much...well, I know everyone here is my friend in some capacity. Even if our friendships are rocky or we dont know each other too well. They're people I want to believe in and I'm going to do just that. I believe in SOS." She spoke, following after Beuce.

Catching up to him, she looked at him. Her eyes moved back forward. "I wonder...how are we going to prove their innocence?" She asked him.

"You know you don't have to stay, you can go back to looking for your friends." In the tavern two ladies sat across from each other In the midst of conversation. The younger of the two spoke first as she sighed taking a sip of whatever she was drinking.
"I can look for them from here. Lets face it, I don't even know where to start and at least here we meet so many people that eventually someone is bound to have run into at least someone from the SOS group." The older one said with a lot more confidence than the younger lady seemed to have. Aislinn reached out and grabbed her sisters hand as she looked her in the eyes. "Besides, Adrian needs the help representing our world, and you need help with the kids. I left you once already, I am not going to do it again."
"He is trying his best." Sarah instinctively tried to defend her husband, but Aislinn just smiled at her.
"I know, he is doing a fine job, but it is a lot of work and I offered to help." Aislinn continued to try and convince Sarah before standing up getting ready to leave. "Tell you what, I know that you are stressed. I will watch the kids until the Summit meeting. You can go take a nap."
Sarah looked like she was about to say no, but she took one look at her sister and knew that it was no use in arguing. "Alright, but don't you have to help Adrian with the Summit stuff too?"
"I will be there for him when it is time, but he told me he wanted to learn to do this himself. Now go. I will go find Adrian and take the kids off of him." Aislinn informed Sarah before starting to head out of the bar, taking a glance at the boy talking to the bartender. She didn't think she knew anyone by that description, but she would keep an eye out anyways.

The Barkeep just sighed before setting his glass and rag onto the bar top be tiredly saying “Look Kidd I’m gonna level with you, not going to tell you how to live your life but don’t go implying you're gonna break the law to strangers”

“Oh usually I don't. it's just...” Faust paused for a second trying for a second to think of a way to put it into words before continuing “I guess it’s just a habit for me to trust a barkeep you know? It’s as my master always said ‘If you're not gonna trust the guy who pours your drinks then who can you? And you just seem to have this trustworthy aura around you.”

Pinching the bridge of his nose “Look I’ll keep an eye out, brat. I’ll send you a smoke signal or something just finish your drink and leave”

“Oh really thanks I could just tell coming to your tavern was a good idea from the second i saw you” Faust answered back in a chipper tone before knocking back the bottom half of his glass before heading out to leave the tavern stopping just short of leaving half way out of the taproom and turning back the to barkeep And calling out loudly “Oh I’m Faust the traveling mage, member of the SOS So you know who to address the smoke signal to!”

Beuce soon said that they would be there for Kaida. He knew that they would be there for Kaida. "Beuce is right we will support you all the way." He gave her a smile. He wondered how this trial would work. There was not much to do but to wait for the trails to start at this point. He wondered how they were even going to fight in a trial that was most certainly rigged in the favor of the people here instead of them. The people so far seemed smarter then the rest of the people that dealt with so far. So it was going to be more difficult to out smart them.

    PRISON BLOCK G

"Hmm?" Xares lookedto Kel before recalling the story he gave them. "Ahh yes, my daughter. The search continues still. I sent some scout ships to look in any nearby worlds. If she's out there, we'll find her."
Xares escorted Kaida and the rest of the the SOS group away from the cells, as everything was locked down once again. Aux remained silent, knowing his friend was in good spirits. His eyes narrowed on the closed doors. He had a gut feeling that something didn't seem right. It was just him, Stratos and his friend, Vanitas and Castur left in the cells.
"This oughta be good," Vanitas smiled.

    COURT ROOM A

Kaida was brought onto a podium in an intimate courtroom that could only seat roughly fifty people. On the judge council sat a woman with short blonde hair done in a very 'karen' haircut. On each side of her was armed guards, and next to the podium Kaida was on stood two smaller podiums. One for the defendant and one for the prosecutor.

Beuce, Luna, Kel, AJ and Ananta all sat in the public seats as the trial was beginning.

"Judge Karen Campbell presiding," one of the guards spoke. The judge waved her hand. She looked at the papers in her hand and shook her hand. "Case # 253... Ms... Kaida? Your defendant?"
The general raised his hand. "General Alexander Xares your honor."
She looked down at the blonde youth and rolled her eyes. "Young lady, do you have any idea how much trouble your in?"
Xares lifted his hand. "Your honor, if I may-"
"You may not!" She interrupted. "I've been in this profession for over 20 years, so don't you dare try to tell me when and when not to speak." She looked around. "Where's the prosecutor?"
"Present, your honor!" A british voice called from afar. "My apologies, I couldn't seem to find the room." The voice trailed as a man with white hair strolled down the aisle towards his podium. It was Orion. The man no one had seen since the fall of Central Haven.
"Orion Krowley. Head of the order. Present," He nodded.
"Waste any more of my time Mr. Orion and I'll be sure to assign you a case myself."
"Of course, " he bowed his head.
Her eyes narrowed sharply back to Kaida. "Now you... You stand here accused of desertion and homicide to the former members of the order. How do you plea?"

She supposed she was bewildered more than anything else. Not by the judge, though she certainly seemed to be a piece of work. But the fact that Orion was here and on prosecution. Kaida probably stared at him longer than intended as a partial situation started to click. If they determined Orion, the deserter and possibily the actual person to commit homocide, to be the authority... oh no. Kaida turned to Karen and said straight and to the point, "Not guilty, your honor."

"Of course she doesn't plea guilty, and you wanna know why? Because she doesn't care that she's wasting the time and energy of everyone on this ship who's still working everyday! You can plea not guilty even though you clearly are, and all your doing is delaying the inevitable. Testimonials and evidence are stacked against you, but hey! If you want to be a disrespectful little hood than by all means... Prosocutor," she looked to Orion. "Please commence with this so we can call it a day and move on to the next case."

Orion stood towards the bench and looked out. "As head of the order, I tried to do my best to ensure my students were kept safe and well trained. Nearly one year ago, Central Haven was attacked... And fell to a large swarm of heartless as well as the malicious terrorist; No Heart. As much as my allies and I tried to keep the world safe, we were thwarted by No Heart's accomplices. One of which, is still in the prison cell aboard this ship." He turned to Kaida. "Before I was left incapacitated by the one called Aux, I tried to have as many students as I could evacuate before the worlds went into lockdown.."

"You brave man," Karen sighed. "It's men like you that make that are actually helping today's worlds instead of destroying them! No please... tell us how Kaida factors in."
Orion looked to Kaida. "While I was not present, one of my students informed me she saw both DJ and Kaida disabling the school's defenses before the two of them fled.

Karen narrowed her eyes back to Kaida. "You still wanna play innocent sweetie?"

Kaida knew that was garbage without even being on the world to have seen any of it. But she knew they'd bring that up somehow and what was she supposed to do, point to her friends for evidence and hear in that shrill voice yeah of course your friends you traveled with would cover for you, how convenient. Kaida really didn't like the sweetie added to that either. But she took a deep breath and said, "Your honor, I have no idea how to deactivate defenses, I didn't even have access to those kinds of files cause I had not attained a rank of Master at the time. I will admit to having fled the world, but it was only after I had been attacked by one of No Heart's accomplices, his name's Vanitas. Perhaps I could have done more during the attack but it's not a crime to want to get yourself to safety."

Aislinn was about to walk out to find her brother in law, when she heard the boy at the bar say something particular. She raised an eyebrow as she looked over to him momentarily. "Excuse me." Aislinn approached the boy. She did not recognize him from her time with SoS, but that didn't mean that he wasn't a part of them. "Did you say you were with SOS? You mean like with Kaida, Ananta, Beucefilous and all them? If so do you mind answering a few questions for me?" She could take an extra minute or two before getting her niece and nephew, Adrian would be fine for a bit longer.

As the rest left the cells, it still seemed off putting for the rest of them. There was a lot that was unknown about this situation. Yet there was something he could infer “So your friend is missing, and that’s her father? I mean if he doesn’t know where she is, she’s really got out somehow or…” There was a chance their friend wasn’t anywhere they could look. If she left the ship she'd be days away, but there was so much ground to cover in this massive place. Quill could hardly comprehend the size and population alone. Still now it was just the few of them here, and Quill couldn’t trust Vanitas as far as he could throw him. He wondered if Aux had forgotten about Quill and his message. The other man had been silent, the one across from him and just watched his friends go by. Castur, he believed, was his name. What was his relation to events here? Quill returned to his carving, while in his other hand began tapping the ground.

The doubt was still there, but there was nothing that could be done about that now. "Then I'll wish you good luck in your endeavors." Was all that he could say with a nod before walking off alongside the others. Now for the trial itself, he had no idea what to think about any of this and not at all because of his lack of understanding of how all of thing worked. He didn't have much faith in how this was going to play out before getting here, but now actually this was on a different level

    COURT ROOM A

"Bring in this Vanitas she's gping on about," Karen instructed one of the guards. The guard nodded and left to fetch him.
"It's true, that's not a crime..." Orion interrupted.
"But as the leader of our council, you should have tried to contact me first. Even if it was DJ who helped to disable everything. The friends you claimed to help stayed behind to fight- one of them losing his own arm, and you? You left everyone behind."
Xares raised his hand. "But how was Kaida meant to find one of her fellow order members during the chaos?"
Orion sighed. "The witness claimed he saw she and DJ striked down Shiro. He claims the both of you struck down our most loyal member... I wish it weren't true but there's very little saving your claim right now Kaida."
"Why on earth, would she betray the order?" Xares asked.
"I thought about that myself. Perhaps she was upset from the limitations we gave her. The seclusion she was left in may have caused her to find other allies." He turned to the judge. "Your owner, the former leader of our order selected Ms. Kaida... quite randomly. To that point we had little faith in her." He turned back to Kaida. "And after this incident, I can see why."
"Ms. Kaida, are you denying that you were in fact a well informed and respected member of the order?" Karen asked.

    PRISON BLOCK G

"He's lying..." Aux sneered in reply to Quill. "I don't know Karina that well, but she never runs. She just fights until the thing in front of her stops moving... Why is he lying though..."
a guard marched in and took Vaitas from his cell, lowering the bars.
"Hey, wha are you-" Aux was shocked again before he could finish his question.
"Prisoner is called on as witness."
Vanitas waved smugly to Aux as he was dragged out of the prison block.

Scout ships, yeah sure. Karina knew that he was lying, but she still wondered how much her friends bought it. While Karina wanted to have faith in them, but given her situation, things were looking rather grim. She couldn't help but think that it was starting to feel hopeless. Her father was taking Kaida to trial and she couldn't help but fear the worst of it. Karina didn't even know if she wanted to watch, but it wasn't like she had much else to do. After her father left the room, the tv flipped over so she could see the trial as they started.

Karina didn't realize that it was going to be her father representing Kaida. "I am sorry... I am so sorry." Karina hated that she didn't have enough strength to do what was needed to save her friends. She had been weak. She failed again, but this time it wasn't to stand up to her father. Last time not standing up got Vincent killed. This time Karina tried not to immediately bend to her fathers will, and instead it was going to hurt everyone. Before her father could even do much, the judge was already yelling at him, part of her felt smug that she treated him like that, but the other part worried her about what this meant for Kaida. Of course, it was soon clear that it wouldn't be good for Kaida with this judge. She wondered if her father set this up too.

She listened closely to the case, and again Karina couldn't help but let her anger get the better of her. "Kaida would never do that! You don't know wh-OW" Her body jerked and jolted as he collar shocked her again. Karina convulsed, pulling against her manacles, which cut into her wrist more and made it hurt all the more. "Make it stop!" Karina called out desperately, this time not in anger but sheer in pain and anguish. It was both physical and mental at this point. Karina was breaking down to some extent and she didn't want to hear any more of the court case. Even as she caught the fact that her father didn't immediately try and prosecute Kaida. It couldn't go well at this rate and Karina couldn't stop blaming herself for that. The more she blamed herself though, the more upset she got, and thus the more chance she had to get hurt again. She didn't know how much more of this she could take. "Someone help...." She cried quietly wishing Beuce, or anyone really was there. She just didn't want to be alone or with her family anymore.

There was something that really stung about people saying they had little faith in her. But she felt like she was doing an alright job at holding it in. It wasn't like she didn't suspect they felt that way. Kaida shook her head and said, "I mean, I thought I wasn't ill informed but I thought I was respected until Master Krowley just said he had little faith in me. Thought only a couple members of the order didn't respect me."

Kaida took a deep breath and stood up straight and said, "Your honor I had been in contact with all the other members of the Order with the exception of Master Krowley since the attack. No one could find him. I couldn't expect to do any better. And I have no idea where this rumor about Master Shiro came from either, my last contact with him he was very much alive. As inconvenienced as I was, but alive."

Quill understood Aux’s attitude, he really believes in his comrades. He would never let anyone cast doubt on their image. “It’s alright, I get it. Hm, well he could be lying to protect her. You and your sketchy pasts, he may not trust you guys. But if what you say about your trials being shams are true, perhaps the general is hiding some secret agenda.” Why had he been curious about Quill’s condition? Quill was surprised to see the doors open, another guard came in. Aux was shocked to see them take the Vanitas guy out of his cell. “Prisoner is called on as witness." What could they need with a scoundrel like him? Still, it wasn’t the right time to cause a fuss. Quill returned to carving, and tapping the floor. A little louder.

Karina would have remained laying on the floor in a curled up ball, if the tapping on the screen didn't become louder and more irritating. There was still a small corner view of the prison below the main image of the trail. At first Karina had ignored the sound, focusing more on what was going on with Kaida. She wished that she could be there and help, after all she had seen Shiro not that long ago. He was the one that helped send her back to SoS. Her father would never allow her out of here to help the case, not when he already planned to rig the case against her friend. The tapping had become too much to ignore however and Karina forced herself back into a sitting position, trying to see what was causing it, and if there was a way to make it stop. The latter of the two thoughts was likely not possible though.

As Karina focused in on the screen, she started to realize that the tapping sound had some rhythm to it. It took a bit, but soon she was realizing what she was hearing, it was Morse code. Once upon a time her father had taught her the code so that she could receive and recite messages to him if he wasn't home and missed something, he never did much care to keep a paper trail. Slowly her mind started tilling in the taps with letters, slowly she started to understand more of what it was saying. She could pick up on some letters at first, then words, though what was sent didn't make too much sense to her. Karina furrowed her brow as she thought of the reply, repeating the taps and dashes in her mind. Send this back. What did he just want someone to reply to the message? He had been talking with her friends, perhaps he was trying to help. Either way she had to do something.

Karina looked around her cell desperately trying to figure out what she could do. Given that they were in prison, perhaps the place they were being kept was not too far away. She could at least try and reply with something. Backing up towards the bars on her cell, Karina started to rock back banging her head against the bars, in what seemed like frustration and desperation. This however instead was an attempt to hide what she was really doing, as she banged her manacles against the bar as hard as she could, spelling something out herself. .... . .-.. .--. / .. -. / -- .- -..- / .--. .-. .. ... --- -. Looking over the woman who had left the tavern before him he flashed his carefree smile as he answered “Oh Yeah I only really joined not too long ago. I’m Faust by the way” thinking a second on the names that she had rattled off Faust paused putting his hand on his chin. Most of those names sounded familiar to him as he continued “yeah I think most those guys are in our group. And I don’t mind answering a few questions for a potential new friend. Though I was asked to look for carbine, you know the mean one of our group, have you seen her by the way?”

Quill sat slumped down, he was still carving but he figured enough time had passed, he would check again. Quill started to place the side of face against the nearest wall, then the other, then placing his ear against the floor. He had to keep checking. If there was even a 1% chance of it working he had to- H l , n m x is n
He heard that right, that faint resonance. He had to hope he could hear it again. C’mon just one more time- H lp, in m x prison

    Quill could swear that was it, he had to check again. --.- ..- .. .-.. .-.. --..-- / -.-- --- ..- / ... --- ... / -.- .- .-. .. -. .- [Quill, You SOS Karina]
