Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Waking up in new places wasn't a new experience for Faust that was his usual method in traveling between the different worlds before he joined up with the SOS. Propping himself up from the floor of the strange box he seemed to fond himself in. it was Familiar like a cells back in his home world but instead of stone and brick the cells the choice of glass to divide the different cells seemed to be a novel but how did the prisoners not just break the glass and leave. Faust Got his answer as he saw Aux punch one of the red glass walls of his cell only to crumple slightly after as he must of been shocked for the new metal collar that everyone down here was wearing. reaching up and touching his own neck confirm that he was wearing one as well. Seeing as one of the two new faces in this 'Cell Block' was introducing himself Faust raised one his hands in a wave replying back "Well Hello Quill, Nice to meet you I'm Faust, A traveling Magician" Flicking a wrist in his practiced manner only to find no deck slide into his hand giving him pause for a second. Quickly patting himself finding his usual tools of the trade missing. Worrying, but trying to not let it show on his face Faust surged his magic for a brief second to improvise a different trick on the spot since his usual slight of hand. though nothing seemed to happen as he kept channeling his magic but his collar seem to buzz slightly. "huh, guess I'm more out of Juice than I thought, strange i feel like a have enough magic to go all day." muttering the last part to himself before Turing to Aux "Hey is anyone else's collar buzzing? oh Aux you doing alright man?" Faust's shade laughing at the current turn of events hidden out of view of the others under Faust.

 

Luna went over to Beuce as his voice rose at the nurse. "Beuce!" She could tell he was upset and it definitely showed in his tone of voice. Beuce pushed past the nurse and left the room. Kel followed after Beuce. Luna followed after them and went over to Beuce. She put a hand on Beuce's arm as he was taking a deep breath. "We won't be able to help anyone unless you calm down. I know what the nurse said was a little uncalled for but raising your voice won't help the situation either." She paused, however, before she could continue, AJ walked over to the three. He had apparently woke up.


AJ was a bit concerned as to why the three just gave the nurse their names. Luna spoke up. "You may think that way but I don't think it matters at this point. I refuse to disregard who I am and where I come from. There's no point in falsifying who we are or where we come from." Luna turned to AJ as she explained her own reasoning. "I understand your concern but I don't think it'll help if we lie about who we are. It's better to just get that out in the open than to lie and potentially endanger people in the long run. Does that make any sense?" AJ had then blamed himself for what happened earlier. "It's not your fault. Nobody is at fault and we shouldn't blame ourselves. It was more of an ambush. Nobody could've predicted what would happen. Even if we had our guard up, nobody could've known." She looked at Beuce, Kel, and AJ as she spoke.


Luna put a finger under her chin as Kel mentioned the compass. "If visiting hours are between 5 and 6pm, we won't be able to see or help Stratos in the holding cells or anyone else that might be down there. It's best if we wait until visiting hours are in effect." She looked at Beuce. "I know you want to help Stratos but if we break whatever rules they have here, we'll only be hindering ourselves and we won't be able to help anyone. We need to keep a level-head and think through our next course of actions for now." Luna smiled, hoping she could at least ease the tension that was slightly in the air.


The princess went over all the information the nurse had given them. "Our first order of business should be finding Karina. If she's in her father's custody, then we should start with finding her since she's not in the holding cells. Though Ananta hasn't woken up yet so we should probably have someone wait for her to wake up." Luna paused as she continued planning out everything. "The summit is in about an hour and a half, so that should give us a bit of time to find Karina, talk to the people from our homeworlds, and get to the summit in time." Luna looked at Beuce. "We need to find where her father is. Wherever her father is, we'll be able to find Karina." Luna looked at Kel and AJ next. "While we're asking about Karina's father, we can ask about everybody else's whereabouts. We'll kill two birds with one stone." She looked at everybody as she gave her suggestions. "I'm open to any other suggestions. I apologize if I just if I took over the reins if someone else had their own plan." She didn't mean to just plan everything out if someone else had another idea on how to go about things. She wanted to open it up to the other guys and hear their thoughts.

 

It took a minute of silence as Quill tapped scratched a divot in the floor but as he looked out from the cell, Quill heard a reply from a new voice. This one was neither raging like the deeper voiced person or alert like the female voice. Perhaps younger like the calmer teenager’s voice?

“Ah a Magician, you keep unique company for a performer.” It was a nice change of pace for Quill to talk with someone who wasn’t trying to imprison or kill him. “You might want to tell your friend he’ll have no luck, I’ve been here a week and unless he wants to go into shock, he better stop giving the collar a reason to electrocute him. They react to violent action and physical force, as well suppressing more overt castings of magic.” Quill still heard the raging man bash against his cage, he could swear he heard the whispering of sadistic laughter from somewhere in the cell block as well. He couldn’t blame the big guy though, he reacted the same way on the first day, the claw marks and gashes in the metallic walls were proof enough of his danger to others, and himself. “Sigh, oh by the way, I saw a couple of other people carried when you were being put in cells. You don’t happen to know any injured people right?”

"Well I enjoy our little chats" Faust replied "a little tip i find going limp tends to help when I get struck by lightening" before turning towards the ceiling to where he had heard the unknown voice come form there must of been some sort of radio and transceiver installed. quite the weird amount of money to spend for a jail cell but to each their own her guess. All cell visits came to a end sooner or later if he waited long enough so all he had to do was wait it out relax and lady luck would see him through. either through a cell door left open or wall crumbling away at a key moment. "Relaxing helps with a lot of things now that i think of it" Faust continued to himself before a nut fell from the ceiling of his cell knocking him on the head. "I guess it would make sense that they would be in a different block, but i have a feeling that isn't a the case i you want we can make a bet on it to pass the time?"

 

Ananta had been awake since Beuce called for Luna. She chose to stay laying down. Once everyone seemed to get going, she sat up slowly and pulled the IV out carefully. She pressed her thumb into the place the needle had been to stop the bleeding. Moving to stand up, Ananta walked to the poor Nurse who had been harassed by each of the companions. Seems she was the last one here, she thought. "My name is Ananta. I don't have a last name. My world is Crystallis, but it was destroyed and I doubt anyone survived." she said, holding the crystal she pulled out of her shirt. She held it gingerly, feeling it warm up.

 

Ananta examined the compass. A summit of sorts was to be held soon and she intended on going to it. AJ was being hardheaded on giving his name. "Just give her your name. I won't because, well, it's not my choice. But, I think you ought to give it. Maybe we can try and find Beuce and go with him and Luna." she suggested. "Otherwise, I'll be wandering about until that summit occurs."

AJ had caught up to them and gave his opinion on the situation, and while he did agree with the doubts that he held about given them out their names, from the sounds of it they already knew who they were. "Its probably better if we go along with all this, for the time being, they aren't forcing us to stay put or stop us from trying to get to the others." It was likely just expected that they would go see the ones who were looking for them before heading off to the summit.

"Then if the goal is to find Karina's father and therefore Karina herself, should we try asking either that nurse or find someone else that might know where he is?"

He stood there and just listened to Luna talk. 'You may think that way but I don't think it matters at this point. I refuse to disregard who I am and where I come from. "No I guess not but I feel like I should have been better. I can not change the past so it is best to move forward." Luna then mentioned helping the others. "I do not think we will be able to help much at the time being." he told the three. "We need to gather information but i am not sure how or if we even can." He looked around the hallway that they were in. "This place looks pretty far advanced. I am sure there is cameras everywhere and they are most likely tracking us. We have to play by the rules here." He would have said for now but he was not sure who on this ship was listening or not. Luna then mentioned Karina. "Well is she being held by her father. Makes me wonder if he is apart of what is going on. Which means we probably need to find and key or something. I do not think her father will just let us see her." There was so much in play here. "I say we stick together as much as possible." He suggested.


Kel then said, 'Its probably better if we go along with all this, for the time being, they aren't forcing us to stay put or stop us from trying to get to the others.' "Well weather if we tell them or not who we are they are bond to find out anyways That or they already know." At this moment the nurse had followed them into the hallway. 'If you are still insistent on your identity, I'm afraid I have to keep you in the medical bay until you are claimed, sir.' He had not even talked to her. So he that meant the nurse ether heard him or they could be herd wherever they went. He was not to found of the game she was playing. He was sure she knew who exactly who he was. "My homeword is gone as far as I am aware. As for my name it is Andrew Jacob Canvasback of a place called Euterpe." He turned to Beuce to get his input on this whole situation. "Beuce what do you think of this and what we should do?"

 

Beuce turned back to Luna, who seemed to be the voice of reason at the moment. He gave a heavy sigh. "You're right. We need to be level headed about this. We can visit Stratos and see about getting him out at the proper time." Beuce heard a slight 'clink' sound on his right wrist. That was odd... Beuce turned to AJ to answer his question. "Luna is right. For now at least, they've given us essentially free access to most of the ship. If we go around breaking their rules, they might revoke that and it'll make everything a whole lot harder for us. First things first, we need to find Karina's dad. If anything I know about him is true, we likely won't be able to see her. But we might be able to find out where she is. If nothing else, we can find him at the summit meeting. He'll likely be representing her world." ​

 

Kaida shook her head and replied to Aux, "I can't think of anything. At all. Whatever I did is unknowingly illegal to me." Kaida sighed and looked through the grids with bemusement and said, "Well most of you I could guess but." Kaida looked towards Stratos, "What did you do Stratos? Like maybe I could see a case for assault on my part if Aux tried to snitch on me for a plea deal. But not you."

 

“Aux, Kaida, Stratos, Castur, Faust… Huh who knew people had such interesting names.” Quill said to himself. Faust seemed to strangely calm in this situation, perhaps unaware of the dangers once they arrived or he was rather really confident. The man across him, his name Castur, seemed more pessimistic. He could've been in similar situations before? The large male Aux, the name rather fitting Quill thought, was restless. Perhaps like Quill he knew he had something he needed to repent for, but Quill decided was reading into things too much. The woman, Kaida shared a familiarity with Aux and this silent man Stratos, she seemed puzzled by their current condition. Could they be falsely accused?

Yet something as Quill stewed caught his attention “K-keyblades!? You know what keyblades are?” For the first time Quill dragged himself from his dark corner and went to red transparent walls, looking around to see other members of their five man band. “You all, I thought it possible but-” Quill looks around to the intercoms, whispering now “-are you keyblade wielders?”

 

Ananta stood there, silent. She rubbed her arm awkwardly and listened to Beuce. "True. Either we find where she is or we just simply wait for the summit. I'd wager we're better trying to find her first. I don't think the Nurse could tell us, though..." Ananta shook her head.

 

Luna looked over at the nurse as she had given them clearance to leave the medical bay. She bowed her head in thanks before turning to the others. At some point, Ananta had woken up and joined the group. Ananta gave her thoughts on their situation. Luna looked at everyone and decided to take charge of all this. "Alright. Here's what we're going to do. We have 15 minutes to grab our stuff and leave. We will take our stuff, you guys wait out in the hallway, and I will ask the nurse as much as I can. What we're not going to do is stand around here and wait until something happens. We will continue everything as I explained and if anyone else has any other ideas or disagrees with anything, we will discuss this calmly and in an organized manner. Am I clear?" Luna looked at everyone as she explained their next actions. She went back inside the bay and grabbed her belongings.


Once Luna was settled, she walked over to the nurse to see if there was any information she could get out of the nurse. She tapped on the nurse's shoulder and began to ask. "I'm so sorry to bother you again. Do you happen to know Ms. Xares' father's name? I would like to speak with him and Karina if, at all, possible." She placed her hands in front of her and held her right hand in front of her left. She paused for a moment before speaking again. "I also have a few questions if you can answer them. I do hate to be a bother but we're unfamiliar with our new surroundings." Luna looked around her as she spoke before turning back to the nurse. "Are there quarters that we can use so that we may rest? Are there any rules or laws that we should know about? We would prefer not to break any rules that we are not aware of." Luna bowed her head once again. "I do apologize for all these questions." She stood back up to wait for the nurse's answers.
