Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Kaida was a bit surprised by the noise with Rhythm Mixer and covered her ears to briefly keep the sound from getting a headache, once she was used to it the blonde ran on in and tried to get a few more attacks in, trying to keep herself towards the underside of the crab. Others seemed to have a similar idea and he seemed to be taking the attacks not amazingly well. Which was good, she felt like it was going far better than the Gantu situation had and she certainly was not about to have a repeat of it. She heard some explosions going off and shifted out of the way just in time to see the crab dangling the wolf to probably try and eat him too. Kaida tried to think of something and her first instinct was to cast reluctancy.

This only seemed to make Tamatoa just kind of stand there confused without making any attempts at attacking the wolf, while Kaida made her way closer up to it and cast aeroga on the wolf. That was about when reluctancy ended and Kaida quickly slashed her two keyblades at the arm in a cross fashion with her attacks becoming infused in fire and ice. The crab recoiled their claw, kind of accidentally throwing Kaida and the wolf away from him.

Kaida landed better that time, though she didn't immediately go to focus on the wolf hoping aeroga maybe helped with the fall. Kaida ran forward aiming straight for the crab and she threw Fist Bump straight at it's leg. It shifted a bit off balance, kind of twirling itself around and away from Kel's direction at the very least this time. Kaida looked over towards Kel's keyblade and let Beuce's go to pick up Kel's and toss it back over towards him asking, "Lose something?"

Once she dealt with that, she brought Lofty Grasp back out and kept quickly slashing at the crab's legs again, running between them and getting as many hits as she could while also trying to not stay on the same side of him. Kaida slid back a couple of feet over towards another wall intentionally, just to have it so the crab's back was close to where Maui could jump onto it and since she figured she'd gathered enough attention from the crab at this point in the game. The blonde grinned as he seemed to approach, much less amused but also kind of enjoying the music coming from what Stratos was doing. Kaida spun Beuce's keyblade around and felt power surge through her as she activated dichromatic resonance and pointed both keys at the crab as two thunderbells launched straight at him and hit him with a ringing sound. Both managing to hit on time with the beat which was not intended but appreciated for the added flair. She could also feel how that magic seemed to be slightly bit more powerful thanks to the limit and she kept launching more thunder attacks at him. She knew it wasn't extremely effective, but she looked cool and she knew it was annoying.

Tamota moved its claw towards him and hit him which sent him flying away from Tamota. As he flew through the air and headed back down to the ground he used an air spell to soften the landing. He hit the ground and hit still hurt lucky for him he did not break anything. He turned towards Tamatoa and noticed attacks were sitll hitting Tamatoa. The numerous attacks the others had been hitting Tamatoa with seemed to be working well and it would not be long now before they took Tamatoa down. He knew that now was the time to take Tamatoa down. Tamaroa was weaken now and that fact was rather clear. While the giant crab still moved fast he could tell that it was indeed slower then when they first saw the crab. With now the time to attack he ran forward towards Tamatoa. He was running from Tamatoa's side and could see that Maui was standing behind Tamatoa and could jump onto his back. He only needed a few more moments and he could jump on the back and get the hook. It did not help that the hook was at the very top of the crab's shell. At this moment he noticed that the wolf had let go of the crab's claws and Kel's and Kaida's attack had hit. Now was the time to do something more. He had to attack.

He ran towards the crab and used Firaga on the front left claw of the crab and continued running. He slid under the crab and once on the other side used Thundaga on the other claw. At this point Tamatoa did not seem pleased and he knew that all they needed was a few more minutes. Just a few more minutes and Maui would have the hook. Now that he was slightly to the crab's left side all he had to do was keep Tamatoa from moving so that Maui could get the hook. "Tamatoa you must have a story on how you got here. The awesomeness of your greatness. Everyone II come across can not stop talking about how great and awesome you are." Tamatoa seemed to freeze at this moment like he was thinking about what he just said. He knew that the moment would not last long and he had to continne to stop the crab from moving. He knew that he was not telling the truth about everyone talking about Tamatoa but it was one of the few things that he knew would slow down the crab. After being at a standstill for a moment the crab continued on its was towards him as he was now the closest thing to the crab. No he thougth he had to keep the crab from moving. He slowly walked backwards and he looked the crab. He was head on and he knew that Maui was behind the crab. Cold he thought as the spell Blizzaga came out of his keyblade and towrds both of the crab's front claws. The ice seemed to hold Tamatoa in place as the ice continued to travel up the crab's claws.

"I really don't care if you follow along or not, it's your choice." Ignis stated back to their captor, who apparently had some reason to follow them.

She couldn't honestly tell why this guy was so fixated on them, but she was starting to get curious about it. Sure, there might be some guards who just took their job seriously and never let people out of their sight, but this guy emptied his entire weapon and basically said "go wherever you want". It wasn't normal behavior, that was for sure. There was also the curiosity as to how Kida knew about their group's name, whether it be intentional or not. Though she didn't care much for the meaning of the acronym. Ignis looked to the group and shrugged her shoulders, feeling like they were just being yanked from one place to the next in this world. At least in the last world they had a little bit of freedom before everything hit the ceiling; in this place they haven't really caught much of a break.

"So anyways," Ignis looked over to their new forced-on companion, "I'm guessing 'Red' was the best nickname you could come up for me? Can't say it's the worst thing, but certainly not too original."

He watched as the crab seemed to break free from the ice spell. He then watched as Tamatoa grabbed Moana in his claw for getting in his way towards him. Tamatoa then said, 'Are you tying to get me to talk about myself?...' That was the plan but he was not going to say no. That was when Tamatoa started singing a song about shinny things. Moana took an opportunity to try and get them out of there by holding up a green gem that supposedly looked like the heart of Te Fiti. 'Hey! I got something shiny for ya!' Well this was certainly interesting. Moana then said time for them to go and he was ready to go. Soon the group ran to a nearby water geyser. knowing that the water would push them back to the surface. The geyeser pushed them out of the realm of monsters and back on the sandy beach of the island they landed on. Maui then said, 'Look ... The point is ... For little kids, child things, sailors, whatever... who had no business being down there. You did me a solid. But you all could've died. And I couldn't even beat the dumb crab. I mean the stupid dog did more than I did!' "It was not that bad. It is not exactly the first time someone or something has tried to kill us. On a danger scale on things that have tried to kill us, Tamatoa is low on the list." Moana then said, 'Besides, you have a whole team of people with you now. If we all work together we can beat Ta Ka for sure..' "We might not even have to fight this Ta Ka." The chances of this was low in fact he was sure that they would run into this lava monster. "The more people together the better." He finished. He had sat up from the landing from the geyser.

 

"Hey hang on a sec!" Luna stopped in her tracks as Aux swam in front of her. "Aux. Please move!" Aux immediately shot back with his own words. "Why are you trying to fight against this? The king of this sea- this world, just told us to leave. I know I'm still knew at this, but as far as I'm concerned, no one has asked for our help. Ariel didn't say anything, and Triton sure as heck doesn't want us here. The only excuse we have is to help a father and daughter better understand each other? How is that a good use of our time? We should be trying to find the others. It's a huge ocean and who knows where they are by now." Luna couldn't believe what she was hearing. Forget these people? No one asked for help? Good use of their time?! Her blood had started to boil for the first time in ages. She couldn't listen anymore to his words. Before she could do anything, Sebastian swam up to the group asking for their help. It had turned out that Ariel had willingly go with some eels to some sea witch's hideout. Sebastian begged them for their help. "Of course I'll help! I would never abandon anyone in need whether or not they ask for my help." She glared at Aux as she said that. As Karina swam off ahead along with the rest of the group. Luna stayed back and looked at Aux. With her blood still boiling, she swam up to him before slapping him with her left hand.

Silence....Nothing but silence until Luna broke it. "I want you to know one thing and one thing only right now...." She paused. "I will never leave people that need help. Even if they don't ask me. I will do whatever I can to help. Why you ask? Because I was useless when my kingdom fell. Lives were lost....My parents are gone and I don't know if they're really gone." She held her left hand close to her chest as she felt tears welling up. She took deep breaths to stop her tears from overflowing. "My people lost everything because I couldn't help them. Because I was powerless to stop whatever was happening....I will not make the same mistake twice." She swam up to him before speaking again. "Try to stop me all you want but I will help those in need. I won't abandon people who need help. Not now. Not ever." Luna swam off and followed the others. "Let's hurry. Maybe we can make it to Ariel in time before she does anything that might risk her safety!" She looked to the others as she started to swim as fast as her tail could take her.

Having brushed off the sand stuck on him, Kel stood up and stared at Maui and his shark head for the sight to register in his head. It had occurred right as he heard the last bit of what Moana said. "We did go through all that to get your hook back to have a better chance at dealing with Ta Ka" Nor did he like the idea of leaving something unfinished if they had the choice to finish it.

 

The Wolf was ready to finish the crab until he was grabbed by Maui and blasted out of the Realm of Monsters with the rest of the group. He tumbled on to the sandy surface of the beach as he dropped the Keyblade he had. Least he got one wish fulfilled so far. The animal stood up as he shook off all the sand from his fur and went to grab his weapon and joined along with the others. While he was standing listening in on the conversation the wolf felt some sort of turmoil in him, as he listened on he swore he heard something else. Shaking the feeling off once he heard about continuing the quest, the beast smirked as he got some recognition out of Maui knowing he that he didn’t just stand their chasing his tail. But it came to the decision if this mission was a curse, the wolf felt sympathy for Maui. First thing the wolf wanted was to leave, but being around the group made him understand that this world has to be fixed. The White Beast sat down in pride in front of Maui, ready to take on whatever comes their way.

 

Steel was... disappointed with Luna. To say the least. Her reaction was more than a little unfair to Aux. For one thing, she had just compared a squabble between a father and daughter about whether or not it was okay to like a boy, to a horrible catastrophe in which possibly thousands of people had lost their lives. It was hardly comparable. No matter what kind of trauma that the princesses experience had given her, the fact was that the people in this world could very well lose their lives if they didn't stop No Heart. If they didn't need or want their help, then Aux would be entirely correct to infer that trying to help could wait until the people in question were safe.

Then, of course, Sebastian had come along. That somehow justified making a scene in front of a local and slapping Aux in the face.

Luna's reaction wasn't just unfair. It was kinda downright mean, especially knowing what the man had been through.

"Forget about them." Steel said to Aux as the girls swam off. "You're right after all; no amount of help you can give will do any good to a person who won't accept it." He put his hands behind his head. "I think the rest of us were kinda just anticipating this, though I was personally hoping we could get out of here before that happened, if only to spite Triton." He shrugged.

"I'm just bitter like that."

 

After Luna seemed to explode at Aux and began swimming away, Beuce drifted up next to the man as he was rubbing his now red cheek. "Jeez. That was kinda harsh." There was a slight silence after steel spoke, with only aux nodding in acknowledgement before Aux spoke up in response to Beuce. "You know... I thought joining this time, I'd see a lot less malice. With the exception of Kaida, every girl I've met in your group seems to want me out of the picture . There's Karina, and now the princess... dont even get me started on the green haired girl..." Beuce nodded

"Well I can't say I was terribly thrilled about you joining either. For what it's worth though, I agreed with you there. You had no way of knowing something was about to happen." Beuce said, scratching the back of his head. There was a lot that needed doing, and not enough of them to do it. If it wasn't important, did they even have time to worry about it? Nevertheless, one of the princesses was in danger right now, so that didn't leave much room for question.

"Can't say I blame any of you. Do you still want to hurt me too?"

Beuce gave a dismissing wave. "Nah...Not unless you do something to provoke it anyway. For that you can thank...thank..." A look of confusion followed by one of concern washed over Beuce's face as he wracked his mind to remember what he was trying to say, until Aux cut in.

"Hikaru." He said, finishing Beuce's sentence.

"Why couldn't I..."

"That's what sucks about being a replica. Day by day we forget more of him. Sometimes I can barely remember him. It sucks..."

"Wait, you mean to tell me i'm eventually going to forget him entirely?"

"I've been trying to think of a way to stop it from happening.. no luck though."

Beuce frantically reached for his pockets, but only rubbed his hand against scale and fishy skin. "Dammit! Why did we have to be fish now of all times?!"

"Welcome to my hell.. Kaida wrote his name on her wrist. Probably washed off when we got separated. If I wasn't linked to him I would barely know what his name started with"

"Don't let me forget his name. If I can remember even that about him, I'll remember he existed at all. Help me out, and I'll see if I can't help you out with your 'lady problems' you mentioned. Well, everyone but Ananta anyway..."

Aux sighs. "I dont need them to like me. I just need then to understand were gonna have to make hard choices soon. You've been lucky so far, but that luck's gonna run out... sooner than you think."

"Trust me, I understand that better than most. We've more than run out of people to hide behind. There were those black coated people Karina was with, but they seemed to be a little weaker than us. If No Heart wanted, he could take us all out whenever he wanted. We only just barely got away last time. Speaking of, do you know who he is? Why he's so powerful?"

"No clue... when I was under that dark influence, I only wanted to grow stronger. I just blindly followed his every command like a soldier." Looking back to Beuce he said. "Vanitas and Nequa are up to something to. They have their own methods of growing stronger."

"Jeez. That's gonna be a problem then...We've gotta find the elemental guardians and beat all of them as fast as we can or else we'll be so outgunned there's no hope."

"Yeah... and before that we have to deal with the hellfire club. Sooner we have to worry less about princesses. Sooner we get stronger."

Beuce nodded. "And if this "Ursula" is after one of them, we might have a prime candidate to take out."

"From what I remember, the hellfire club had 10 members. I worked most often with the horseman, but if you manage dot defeat mizrabel, there's still 9 remaining..."

"Well, lets go make that 8." With that, they swam off after the others.

Seeing as everything was going right for everyone, or rather most of them. The wolf walked over towards Moana to help her comfort the demigod but whimpered as Maui started to doubt himself. Then the remarkable happens. While Moana holds the giant fish hook to Maui it began to glow along with the stone heart in her necklace. At that moment, almost in sync, the crystals on the wolf’s back started to emit a golden glow, as he tilted his head in curiosity at them when talking about a sidekick. That was until Maui’s fish hook shined a bright light towards the White Beast.

At first the wolf panicked for a second, closing it’s eyes to protect them from the blinding light. Then he started to feel some kind of warmth, fragments of light were all around him as they started coming off or onto the animal. Like shattered mirror pieces floating around him until a human figure of light remained around these shards, they all returned to the figure giving it colors and form. After that, the wolf was gone without a trace.

Slowly standing up onto his two legs, the newly reborn human man stumbled for a second as he shook his head. On his head had a white wolf mask with a hood over it followed by a long gray cloak with rips and some gold, silver and crimson red design on the back. He looked down at his hands, as he observed his left hand which was covered by a large gold and blue arm gauntlet while his right arm didn’t and instead had a teal fingerless glove. He also had a purple shirt with a crimson red jacket underneath the cloak which was clipped to his shoulders. The man also wore a brown belt which was holding up a pair of olive green pants and wearing some multicolored shoes with a spike on the heel. He looked around at the others in confusion only saying one thing in a calm but strong voice, “I’m... normal again?”

 

So much had happened in the span of several minutes that she wasn't entirely sure what to respond to. On one hand, she could have reacted to the fact they barely got out of there from the giant crab. On the other hand, she could have agreed to helping with fighting this Ta Ka creature. It wasn't like they had a good way to get out of here and maybe after all of this they could get a proper boat to try and find others. Maybe a little more carefully and better equipped for a storm.

But all that stopped when the fish hook started glowing. When Maui mentioned the princess of heart, she was surprised he knew what that was. Unless he was faking the name for the SOS or something and actually knew them. But before she could even address that, the companion that was a wolf was now not a wolf. This shouldn't have thrown her off as much as it did, but mayb it was because of how much like a wolf this person had acted before... this. And they said they were normal again. Again. So this was their normal state. Her reminder of the wolf licking her face and wrapping itself around her to keep her warm when she fell in the water made her start without thinking much about it wiping her face vigorously with the sleeve of her shirt before she cleared her throat and held a single finger up before she lost her thoughts and her question and just kind of stood there with a face that made it look like her mind was rebooting.

Finally she just said, "Well, hey, at least I don't know two wolves with keyblades now..." she looked unsure of her own response before she walked towards the boat and sat down at the edge of it and said, "Well, I for one say we go for Tika. We made it this far and I guess it would only be fair to finish what we've sta- okay what is your name and why were you just playing up the wolf act?"

 

Ananta casually ignored Castur for now and ended up following along to the King's chambers. Upon arrival, she knelt down out of habit with Kida. She could barely understand what they were saying, only understanding about as much as Milo. She was confused by the end of this and Rourke started to talk. The King called him out on bringing weapons. Ananta smiled at that, standing back up. The King ended up letting them stay for one night. They left the chambers, leaving Kida to her father. Kida came back out minutes later, looking sullen. Kida asked the wielders to come as well. Ananta nodded, not really questioning it. Kida talked about the SOS and that surprised Ananta. "Yes...we are here for that, actually. I suppose there is no need to hide it, is it?" Ananta shrugged, digging her own crystal out and holding it up. "My own crystal gave a warm feeling, so I understand. I hope we can help you, Kida."

Ananta looked at Ignis and Castur, tilting her head. "I swear you're just here to follow us around. Don't you have a job to be doing?" she asked.​

When Kida said that she had something to show them Faust's face lit up. if there was somewhere they had to go to answer a unsolved question that was a dead ringer to something worth seeing. He did not know anything about this SOS whatever she was talking about. he hadn't ever heard of these sentinels before in his travels, though he hadn't been seeing the amount of keyblade wielders in one place before either in his travels till the last world he was in. quite frankly this SOS thing should of been something his old drunk of a master went over before he wandered off to who knows where. the name was kinda catchy though he would have to remember it for later.

looking over at their capture that seemed determined to follow them wherever they went rubbing the back of his head Faust replied in a carefree manner "Well, I don't mind if you join us as long as we don't have to be on guard all the time around you, haha." Faust laughed at his own little pun before extending his hand towards their former captor.

 

The young man looking around, guessing that some members of the group were undoubtedly confused about how this man came to be. It’s only rational, he thought to himself. Dusting himself off he walked over to his Keyblade and picked it up from the ground. “Good to have you back, old friend.” As he dismissed his weapon into thin air, Kaida made a statement about a wolf with a Keyblade. “Well, I’m glad that you don’t. Some special animals can be gifted with such things, rare but not uncommon. It’s a matter of perspective really.” He checked his jacket pocket and pulled out a small leather coated book, with writings that can’t be decrypted normally. Flipping to through the pages to make sure everything was intact. Closing the book while walking over towards the blonde haired girl, to answer two very important questions, “In my defense, I was aware of my actions around 50% of the time. Everything else was animal instinct. I’m... sorry for licking your face earlier, heh... And I for one agree with you, we should set sail for Te Fiti so we can fulfill the duty given to Moana and Maui.” Thinking he finished everything, he walked onto the boat until realizing he forgot a question, so he turned to Kaida and said with a chuckle, “Where are my manners? I believe we haven’t been properly introduced, my name is Marx; Keyblade Master of Twilight.” Finishing off with a bow gesture.

Kel spoke up about wanting to take care of Maui. Maui then said, 'Face it, I'm just washed up at this point. All I wanted to do was make you mortals happy and it cost the one thing that made me special...' At first he did not know what to say to this. He knew where Maui was coming from just because he had a keyblade did not make him special in fact he would say he was average. "What makes you special is what you do, how you act." 'The gods gave me that fish hook and made me Maui. Without that fish hook... I'm nobody...' "You are whoever you make yourself, who you want to be." At this point the fish hook began to glow. 'What?! I'm the chief's daughter. Not a princess!' 'You're wearing a skirt-' He then pointed to the wolf. 'You got a new animal sidekick... You're a princess.' So apparently all you needed to be a princess of heart was a skirt and an animal sidekick. He was not sure that was how it worked but said nothing on the manner. The hook glowed as it a beam of light shot at the wolf, creating a blinding light before turning the wolf into what seemed to be a human. He was not all that surprised. At this point someone turning human from an animal felt like a every day thing. The wolf that was now human then said, 'I’m... normal again?' "Looks like it", he said offhandly. Kaida then said, 'Well, I for one say we go for Tika. We made it this far and I guess it would only be fair to finish what we've sta..' "Let us re turn the heat." He walked over to the raft that was on the island. The human then said, 'Where are my manners? I believe we haven’t been properly introduced, my name is Marx; Keyblade Master of Twilight.' "Keyblade Master of Twilight. How interesting. If you do not mind how did you become a wolf? If you do mind forget I said anything, but from the sounds of things, it sound almost like you were turned into one." He was slightly curious about the wolf angle.

 

After fixing the sail for a bit, making sure nothing was wrong with the boat. Marx turned and walked towards AJ to answer his question, “I suppose I owe you all an explanation, huh. You see, I was out on an important mission to deliver these,” Pulling out a large crystal formed by smaller colorful crystals that fit in his palm. “To a sacred world so they won’t be used in the wrong hands.” The young boy said, as he paced around he looked out to the endless ocean. “I was on my way there until I got stuck on a different world entirely. Turns out the people there were in trouble, as Heartless showed up everywhere. I did what I could to protect everyone while they escaped, but for me, well something or rather someone was waiting for me on that world. A mysterious man with a dark cloak came to me, and wanted to issue a battle. At first I didn’t want to accept, but he said if I didn’t that he’d go destroy the ship that carried the people away. I... I had to accept that time. I couldn’t let those people die after what I did to protect them, but above all, I didn’t want my choice be the destruction of the people. So I battled him. One on one, no tricks, one weapon only. I had the upper hand and winning, until... Something inside me stopped. Everything around me started to slow down, but I don’t know what it was when I saw what was causing it. An orb of light and a voice. The voice told me to stop this and return to the task at hand, but again I didn’t, I couldn’t. But it didn’t mean the crystal, it meant something else. Then the orb disappeared without a trace, and time returned to normal. That cloaked warrior came at me slicing and slashing, and I couldn’t do anything because of what happened. I lost.” He said as he gripped his hand in defeat, turning around to the others he continued, “In the end, turns out he was a Dark Keyblade Wielder, and the terms of my defeat was banishment of myself and my Keyblade. What’s worse, he lied about those people. Apparently while we were battling, he sent Heartless to destroy that ship. He tricked me. And I fell for it. The man turned me into a wolf using dark magic, stripped me of my Keyblade as he cast it off world, and sent me down a dark abyss where I would never see the light of day again. But before I reached that inky abyss, that same light saved me. It sent me to a world where I would still hold my banishment, but nonetheless saved my life.” Lifting his head and looking at the group to finish the story, “When I came to, I was on an island. There I saw Maui, spending decades after decades with him, until you all came. And here we are.” Checking his body, making sure no wolf bits were left of him. “Lucky for me, that Wolf form didn’t really age me at all, so that’s good.” Marx finally said until asking another question, “But what about you guys? How did you get here? It’s rather odd seeing keybladers here of all places, were nearly at the edge of the universe. If my memory serves from the maps I have in my book.”
