Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

It was useless to struggle. Ananta let the waters suck her beneath, closing her eyes. She opened them again, against the salty water. It didn't hurt as much as she thought it would, but perhaps that was just her Aura helping her in the end. Regardless, she gazed upon the rifts that appeared and sucked her teammates right up. She looked at the one she was turned towards and felt sad. She was going to a new world and was going at it alone for the time being. She closed her eyes again, letting the rift engulf her.

Air filled her lungs as she opened her eyes. Gasping and taking deep breaths, she looked up to see rocks and darkness. Ananta sat up and found herself in an open cavern, surrounded by strange yet familiar architect. Noticing she was the first to arrive, she supposed that perhaps taking a moment to rest would be a good idea. She pulled her legs to her chest and she took that time to collect herself. She reached for her crystal necklace and pulled it out from her shirt. She gazed at it, runing her thumb over the smooth surface. "I've been through a lot, huh?" she asked herself.​

He spotted Beuce, Ignis and, Faust drift in different directions. He tried to swim towards them but it was no use. He could see that they were being pulled by the waves in different directions. At this point it was probably best to just try and stay alive. At this point he was thankful that he knew how to swim. He knew that if he saw another boat it would be to soon. The water its self was colder then he would have thought but then again he had just came from a place that was colder because of all the snow and ice. Perhaps some of that weather came this way. Knowing how to swim only did so much for him as the waves were huge and it was a heavy down pour on top of it. Looking around there was not much of anything to use to stay afloat. In fact he did not see a thing to use. If only this was tropical waters then it would not be as cold. At some point he had gone under water and went up again. He wondered if this was going to be the way he would die. There was so much to do that he wanted to do. He had to keep going somehow. The salt water that was attacked to his face and clothes did not help. He knew that he was not going to keep this up. No person could swim forever. At this pint the only thing he could think to do was summon his keyblade and so he did. He quickly turned it to the keyblade glider and used it as a makeshift flotation device. If nothing else it might be able to keep him alive. He felt his arms and legs hurt from all the swimming. At this point he knew that his strength was almost gone. He drifted in and out of consciousness as the waves pushed him towards the unknown.

He opened his eye and the first thought he had was how was he alive and the next was where he was. At some point his keyblade had disappeared. Looking around he was someplace tropical some place like Hawaii or something to that affect. Looking down he noticed that he was still wet. In fact, water was coming off of him. Taking off his shoes and socks and then spotting driftwood and pieces of wood he grabbed them up only to hear a cough and short distance away. Turning to that direction he spotted Kaida who was on the beach and small waves hit her. Abandoning the idea of getting himself dry and warm he raced over to Kaida with his shoes and wood in his hand. He dropped the items a short distance away from her and made his way over to her. He grabbed her and pulled her away from the beach. The last thing he needed was her to drift back into the sea. Getting a closer look at her he noticed that her breathing was almost not there at all. Quickly setting fire to the small amount of wood he had and then turning Kaida onto her side so that she could cough up whatever water she still had inside. He wondered if Kaida had been there since they all left on different boats or if something had happened. Then apart of him thought that some of all of this was his fault. "I am sorry Kaida for all of this." He then took out his winter coat which was dry and carefully laid it on part of her body. On top of everything he did not need Kaida dieing from the cold. With the fire going and a coat on top of that he did not need to worry so much. He then began to tap her back trying to get her to cough up some water.

When Faust awoke he found himself completely submerged in water. The last thing he had remembered from before he woke up was setting down next to the main mast of the ship to catch a quick little nap in under the bright summer sun with the nice cool brazes that he found flowed over these strange seas. He might have smelled the sent of a storm brewing in the distance form his slumber or it might have been just a part of his dreams. The only thing he knew was for sure was that he was on the ship when he went to sleep and now he found himself completely encased in a raging current of water dragging him along onto the next chapter of his life. Figuring it would be best for him to just let lady luck guide him once again he made no real attempt of fighting his way to the surface instead just letting it drag him deeper into a blinding light.

It was slightly strange way for him to find himself in a new place as he had found but nothing to strange as times he had found himself getting into a new place as he found himself traveling into strange new lands in all strange manner of ways from waking up in crates to finding himself in a prison cell in the past so this wasn't to bad of a way for him to travel. deciding now was the time to surface as the currents had died down Faust began to try and get his barrings. The only point of reference he had was a soft drifting light so he Followed that breaking the surface of a pool in a dimly lit cavern. Seeing a group of armed group of militaristic men gathered on the shore he could only whisper to himself "Huh, is that a race of mole people? neat" as he began to swim towards them and the shore they stood on.

 

Ananta gasped, crawling out of the water and looking up at the rag-tag group of people. She looked back at the water, wondering if anyone else would appear. Apparently, somebody did, and he was swimming for them. She didn't recognize the boy, but she figured he was a part of the general's army group. Looking back at the man, she gave him a small bow. "In all honesty, sir, I'm not too sure myself. I was in one place and appeared here. I have no clue where I am, so forgive me for not being able to answer your question. My name is Ananta, however, if I may ask all of yours?" she gazed at the group, even looking at Faust, signifying him to introduce himself.​

 

Her blackout made it very difficult for Kaida to realize someone was trying to help her. It was mostly her body reacting to trying to get the water out. She stayed that way a little bit before she coughed and woke herself up that time. Spitting out way more sea water than she was expecting. She turned herself onto her hands and realized she had a coat on her and got very confused. She fixed herself to see AJ finally and said, "Wait... AJ? How-" she stopped to cough up more sea water and looked around as she said, "Y-you're here? Are there others with you?" she sat up to rub her throat as she said, "I was... I was with Aux, Ananta... Ack... Steel and... and Stratos. We.. we were trying to get on a boat to leave the world. I... I don't know how to swim. I thought that was the end." the blonde opened up her palm to look at the stone she had grabbed in the ocean and looked at it confused before she saw her wrist and saw the name smeared and unreadable and Kaida grabbed it and whispered, "No..."

When Kaida had let out a cough and woke herself a little he let out a sigh of relief. "I thought I was going to lose you and I could not help think it would be my fault." He nearly had hugged Kaida when she sat up. He was just that happy to see here alive. "It seems like everyone I come close to, the friends I made here and even before that die, disappear and die. I do not know what I would do if I lost another person. I do not want to lose another. All I feel is that I am somehow responsible for what has happened to all of them." Looking around then back at Kaida he took a breath. "First there was Aldwin my friend from my homeworld, then Glen disapeared. Then after that.." He stopped for a moment like he was thinking then continued with "...Hikaru was gone. "I do not want what happened to them to happen to you or anyone else from the group." At this point Kaida said, 'Y-you're here? Are there others with you?' He looked around but did not see a single person. "No we are the only two people here." It sounded like she was on another world and somehow landed here. "I was in a boat after leaving a frozen and ice place then a storm hit the boat and I somehow got here." Kaida was sitting up and he thought she should rest but there was not much he could say or do. Then Kaida said, 'I... I don't know how to swim. I thought that was the end.' "Well maybe we can fix that. Maybe I can help with that." He never taught someone to swim but, how hard could it be? Kaida then opened her palm to reveal a stone and she began to panic. "Kaida what is wrong?" Looking closer to her hand and arm he noticed that there seemed to be some sort of writing that was now unreadable because of the water. The coat he had put on Kaida was now hitting in her lap and the fire that was close by was still there. Looking around all he saw was rocks and sand. All there seemed to be was rocks and sand. The rocks them self were large enough to provide cover. "Kaida do you have a change of clothes or anything? There are some rocks you can go behind to change. And I have some food if you are hungry." At this point he was still more concerned about Kaida then himself and shivered a little from the cold water that was still on him.

Ignis struggled to get to the top of the water, having been dragged under by the current. She had been pulled through some kind of light along with Faust, but she had lost sight of him and couldn't make out where she was. The most she could do was keep swimming upward and try to break through the water. As she reached the top, she broke through and gasped for breath, feeling like her lungs were on fire. Her vision was still blurry, and the only thing on her mind right now was getting out of the water. She swam and flung her arms outward, grabbing whatever she could, be it a rock, a boat, or even simply land. She got her wish as she flung her hand out to take another swim and slammed her hand onto something hard, probably a rock. She quickly scooped herself out of the water and breathed heavily, gasping for air.

Taking a moment to look around, she realized that they were surrounded by a bunch of people, all of whom where helping out another person. Ignis looked to her right and noticed right beside her were Faust and Ananta, who apparently had decided on a wardrobe change. Ignis sat, stunned at the development and taking a guess they had ended up in another world somehow. What clothing she had was soaked, and began to wring out her jacket.

"Not exactly the way I was expecting to leave that world, and I'm hoping it doesn't happen that way again." She got up and took off her boots, turning them over and letting a large amount of water spill out of them. "So, how you been Ananta? I see you met the pain in my butt."

 

Kaida listened as best as she could manage while still recovering to AJ's story. She heard the name there briefly as he told it, the one she was trying not to forget. When he asked her what was wrong she said, "His name... I couldn't remember it. I still can't. So I had Steel write it down since he could still remember it. But it washed away when we got shipwrecked..." she paused for a long time before saying, "I don't have a change in clothes but I'll be fine." The blonde had shifted to wring out her clothes when there was a sudden new person in the area that lifted them by their heads to look for a boat. When she was finally put down she stayed stable on her feet and put the stone in her pocket and she asked, "Wait.... you know about the SOS? I mean... we are a part of it, but not really. More like an... unofficially created other branch? Anyway, we got shipwrecked and ended up on this island too. And our uh... magic portals aren't working." she smiled apologetically and raised her hands up and said, "I wish we could help but unfortunately, we are also now in need of a boat. Though I guess we could be second in the queue." Kaida placed a hand on her chin to think before ringing out her clothes and saying, "Well AJ, are you ready to spend the next thousand years on a rock with nothing but a wolf we can't eat?"

When Kaida had said he could not remember a name the only name he could think of was...what was it? Henery? No. Hillbert? No. Hikaru The name was there. Thinking that he must have hit his head or something he tried to brush it off. Kaida had said that she would be fine so he had to just go with it. "Perhaps Dreamer's book has something on the subject or a way to find out." Before he could do much more with the idea he was picked up by a naked man more or less. He did not know who just had on just a leaf skirt but maybe there just was no clothing where they were. 'And what's up with the hair? You relate or something? I mean who has blonde hair unless...' "No relation I am a only child." That was when Kaida said, 'Wait.... you know about the SOS? I mean... we are a part of it, but not really. More like an... unofficially created other branch? Anyway, we got shipwrecked and ended up on this island too. And our uh... magic portals aren't working.' "What do you mean unofficially another branch? With..um.. with our last leader gone that mean you are the new leader Kaida." He rubbed his head a bit just trying to remember details. It just made the most since that Kaida was now the leader of SOS. Turning his attention to the large man. He wondered how the man even knew about SOS. "I am sorry but we do not have aboat We just got here our selves. We lost the boat we were on." Then there was something about magic portals. "Wait. The way off this place is not working?" He had not really thought about it all that much. 'Well AJ, are you ready to spend the next thousand years on a rock with nothing but a wolf we can't eat?' "That will not be necessary for the time being." At this moment he pulled out bags of food from his bag that he got from Arendelle. The bags were filled with a verity of fruits and vegetables. He handed Kaida half the bags and the other half to the unknown person. "Well that is all I have sorry that I do not have more." He did not know what to do. The food he just brought out was not much and he wished he had more.

 

As the three were talking, Maui mentioned something about a wolf. Strange enough, one was hiding behind a rock watching and listening to them, it was very unique; having white fur and a long tail, but having aquamarine shards forming out from his fur near his head. It was also lengthy, almost unlike any wolf known. The wolf slithered past the large man who he had know for a long while, even he couldn’t remember the length of time. The creature then started to greet the two newcomers, sniffing around them, observing their looks, even licking the blonde girl on the cheek showing some form of affection. It then sat down looking at them curiously, wondering how they got here in the first place.

Moments passed as Kel continued to lay motionless on the sandy surface he'd washed up on. Gradually though he started to awaken, first signaled by minor twitching in his fingers. That soon escalated to full-blown coughing as his lungs worked to clear themselves of the seawater that had found its way there. When all the water was finally expelled from his system, Kel's eyes opened and noticed that he was someplace highly unfamiliar. Not to mention that he didn't see Luna or Aislinn anywhere. Were they both still on the ship? It would be good if they were, but he had no way of getting in contact with them should that be the case. By this point, Kel had been sitting up on the sandy surface long enough for him to decide that getting a look at where he'd ended up was the better course of action. He pushed up himself up to his feet and started to move despite his clothing being damp. It was bothersome, but on the grand scheme of things, it was the least of his concerns right now.

Ignis figured there'd be some point in time where there was going to be a rough reception, but she never figured it'd be right after having drowned in a storm. She finished shaking out her boots and put them back on, still trying to get her clothes as dry as possible.
"Well, how we got here is pretty simple. We got thrown off our boat in the middle of a storm, fell into the ocean, and then ended up here. Any other reasons behind it, you got me." At this point she was shaking her hair like crazy to get anything in it.
"Though I know I can tell you two things. First, no idea what an Atlantean is, and I sure as hell am not one. Second, I need you to keep that one away from me, he's bound to get hurt if he keeps acting like that," finishing her sentence by pointing to the mole-like person. "And if you want anyone to ask, just ask "little miss green hair" over there, she knows us - well, me."

 

Luna slowly opened her eyes as she felt herself coming to. She looked around and grabbed her head. She began to make sure nothing was broken until she came to a sudden realization. "Wait a moment.........Why can't I feel my legs?!?" Luna looked over to where her legs should've been, only to find a mermaid tail replacing it. She then looked above her to only see the sun shining just a bit while fish are swimming by her. "Whoa..." She tried to move around with her new tail. It was a bit difficult to figure out. Luna raised her hands up to her head. She then realized her hair was different as well. It had been twisted into twin-tails. "Interesting but cute." Luna smiled a bit before hearing a voice echo. "THE HAT TOO?! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!" Luna was definitely a bit startled but was definitely curious as to where it was coming from. Luna made her way slowly to the origin of the voice.

She swam past a rock to find Aux there, looking a little angry. "Aux? Is that you?" Luna was a bit concerned as to why he had yelled. "I'm glad you're safe though what's wrong? I could hear you from where I woke up." She looked around to see some of the fish come back toward her. She was definitely curious as to what was exactly going one. "I wonder if anyone else made it here...." Luna looked up before looking around them.

Kel hadn't gone all that far from where he started before he heard someone else's voice. This leads to him spotting a smaller boat that had also crashed here and the presumed captain of said boat yelling at the sea. Pretty normal up until the part in which Kel swore he saw the water trip the girl. First talking trees, then magical oceans. It further made it clear that he wasn't in the same world he was in before. While dusting herself off, the girl noticed him and got him confused for someone else. "Um, no. I'm Kel. Not Maui and certainly not a demigod."

 

Couging up salt water, Steel was barely keeping his head above the surface. His main two thoughts were 'Man, what a stupid way for a water sub-type to die.' and 'I'm really going to stink of wet fur when this is done.'

He could here some of the others shouting above the waves, but just what they were saying was lost in the noises of the storm. Before too long, he was hurled towards Aux, and the two were sucked beneath the waves into some sort of rift. As they drew closer and closer, Steel could only hope that everyone would come through alright...


When he came to, the first thing he really noticed was the sand beneath him.

"That's gonna be a nightmare to wash out." He moaned as he pushed himself from the ground. However that quickly led him to notice a second thing: he was completely underwater. Judging by the sights above and around him, the ocean floor. Further, it seemed he was a merman of some kind. His fur, muzzle, and paws had vanished to be replaced with the face, hands, and skin he had in hi human form. Where his legs should have been was a dark blue tail and fins with a black underside. Pulling a strand of hair down from the water above him, it was blue as it used to be. "Guess there's only so much blend can make look normal." Nearby he could hear someone shouting about a hat, so he headed that way, since it was either one of the others or the quest flag. Sure enough, he was greeted with the sight of...

"Oh, hey princess! ...You alright there Aux?"
