Faust didn't even look over towards Ignis as he heard her began to mumble the last part of her statement barely able to hear her complaint at the end. He was more focused on ingraining the inside of the ice fortress before they would have to leave it behind. lightly running his gloved hands over some of the sharp edges of the building. it would really be a shame that they were probably going to spend a little time in this vary interesting building. After he had his fill tracing the internal edges of the column he was near he replied back to her "I totally get what you mean. personally, I don't really want to go back home it's just kinda dull compared to whats out here ya know?"

 

Ignis had to hold herself back from getting extremely sarcastic and cynical in her response. At first all she could do was just slowly leer at Faust for his response, and then took in a deep breathe.

"Yeah, sure, we'll call it 'dull'. After all, it's so boring fighting for your life and dealing with a sociopath who wants to rule everything because of his ginormous ego. " As she finished she began to walk away.

As she got close to Faust she gave him a cold, dead stare and went right through him, knocking him in the shoulder and shoving right past him. She was at the boiling point now and just let loose a punch on the wall of the castle, bruising her hand but also leaving a fairly large crack in the ice and an indentation of her fist.

 

Stratos seemed to still be in deep thought as Aux began to speak up about what was truly going on with their sudden memory loss. His friend was going to be slowly forgotten. They wouldn't remember his name. His face. They probably wouldn't even remember his sacrifice. Stratos thought about what to do about this. About what to do against a fundamental fact of the universe trying to overwrite their memory. He couldn't help but agree with Aux. This was too cruel. He couldn't help but agree with Ananta. This wasn't something he could accept. Yet, as he thought more about it he came to one profound realization about this.

There was nothing he could do.

He barely understood the reasoning behind this from happening, let alone how it worked and how he was going to stop it. Worse still, there was a chance he was going to forget this was even a problem to begin with. A look of pained frustration crossed Stratos's face, before he finally muttered, "there's gotta be something. There's always something. There's always..." He trailed off before shaking his head. "Kaida's right, for now, there's only one thing we can do and that's give ourselves physical reminders of him. Things not in our head. Maybe then we'll be able to keep him in there for longer- long enough to find out a way to combat...whatever this is." Stratos looked at the ring adorned on his finger. He would not forget the man who gave him - who gave everyone these rings. And so long as he wore it still, he was certain he wouldn't forget.

Kaida watched as Steel wrote the name on her wrist and she smiled at him and said, "Thank you." before she looked at it for a little bit. It was only a small comfort, knowing the name was at least there and she knew where to associate it... but she knew when she stopped looking it would be gone. As she listened to Aux's explanation, Ananta's attempt at empathy, and Stratos' attempt at inspiration. She couldn't process it all, it was like losing him all over again but even worse. Kaida felt tears flood her eyes as she shook her head towards Ananta, not really even sure how to reply. Kaida's voice broke as she said, "This... this is worse than him dying. Forgetting him completely and the memories we shared?" she looked at all of them in pain and said, "Even the pain of losing him, the pain of seeing his sacrifice. I'm going to forget it all happened...? And there's nothing I can even do to stop that?" she gritted her teeth and felt angry as she hissed out, "Reality can shove it. I'm not going to let whatever forces may be causing it take... take..." she looked at her wrist and managed out, "Hikaru away from me. I won't allow it!" she gripped her wrist tightly and fell down to the ground, curling herself into a bit of a ball as she managed out, "I won't let him go... I won't..."

Ananta nodded at Stratos, looking at the ring on her own finger. She took the pen from Steel and wrote Hikaru's name on her own wrist. The idea was a good one from Kaida. Ananta was about to make a comment when she saw Kaida's tears. Ananta listened and saw the anguish and sadness on Kaida's face. Ananta was feeling a pain similar, but she wasn't Hikaru's best friend. She wasn't Hikaru's closest friend, but she at least knew the guy and knew what kind of person he was. At least, she was hoping these few memories were of her and Hikaru.

Kaida was now on the ground in a ball, having a panic attack. Ananta knelt down and put a hand on Kaida's shoulder, rubbing it gingerly. "It's okay to cry." Ananta whispered to her. Tears were staining her eyes watching Kaida. "We're here for you."

Steel had done as he was asked and wrote Hikaru's name on her arm, falling back into silent thought he did a quick search of his own memories. It seemed as though they hadn't been altered too much... yet... as far as he knew. It stood to reason that his memories might disappear a bit more slowly due to his nature as... whatever the heck he was. It seemed Kaida was really beating herself up about it though. Crying on the ground sobbing about how she wasn't going to let Hikaru go. Not that she was actively doing much at that point to act on her loud proclamation. Aux seemed to be of a similar mind telling her off before Steel himself could say anything. Seeing that, he merely turned his thoughts inwards once more.

 

Faust could only glance at his keyblade in confusion at first not quite getting what was going on. He had never experienced something like this in travels normally he would just move onto the next world after a while. Glowing keyblades and appearing keyholes hadn’t ever happened to much before. After a few seconds the sight before him clicked with one of his older almost forgotten memories of his old drunkard of a master. A few tankards in one day he had started rambling about ‘keyholes’, ‘the hearts of worlds’ and ‘how they needed to closed for their own good’.

Following the only idea he had at the moment, Faust lifted his keyblade pointing it at the newly formed key hole shape in the entrance of Elsa’s ice castle muttering “Guess this is what that drunkard meant huh...” As he aimed his keyblade at the keyhole he felt a surge of his magic pass through him forming a shining day of light connecting his keyblade to the keyhole for a brief second. A soft locking noise rung out as the beam of light faded seconds after forming. The mere sound of a lock clicking closed sending a bigger chill down his spine than the flash winter he had just experienced. letting his keyblade fade away again he could only continue to mutter to himself gazing out at the sky “ let’s hope the old man was right.”

He did not know what was going on but he tried not to think about it to much. Soon a keyhole showed up and that was normal the signal to leave. Faust then closed the keyhole with his keyblade and he turned his attention to Beuce. He wondered if he was ready to go. "So what happens now?" He asked this to no one in particular. They needed to find a boat or some way out of Arendelle. There was also the fact that they should do something about Duke of Weaselton before they left.

Soon enough another keyhole had appeared and this time it was Faust who closed this one. He seemed slightly confused on it at first, but it didn't matter to much. Ignis simply watched and waited then went outside the castle to wait. There wasn't much left to do here, though they needed to figure out how they were going to get to the next world. As the thought crossed her mind, she looked around to see if there was any sort of clear sign on how they were going to get out of there.

"So, uh," she turned around and looked at the group and the two girls, "anyone have a clue on how we get out of here? I don't think that boat we came in on went to more than a single place."

 

Stratos stood there silent, as unsure as ever as Kaida went through her bout of both fury and sorrow at the situation provided. He hadn't the faintest idea of what to do to help her, nor did he really know if he was in any position himself to anyone. However, as he stood there silently, he eventually heard Aux speak up about the situation. The boy simply nodded, looking back to the ring on his finger and began to take a deep sigh. Closing hiss eyes and trying to focus on his own thoughts, the boy try to come to terms himself with this overall impossible situation.

Kaida took a bit to calm her sobbing while she listened to what Aux had to say, she understood that he held his hand out towards her but she didn't full process he wanted to help her up. She took a couple more seconds before she took Aux's hand and stood up. She looked very out of it, but she seemed to be calming down. She took a deep breath and turned to look at everyone and smiled, "You guys are the best. You really are. I'm... not happy with it but... I know he'd rather have me keep going than be like this. And you guys have helped me process that more than you can ever know. So... thank you." she specifically looked over to Stratos at that point since he'd mentioned something about fighting it and she said, "I say instead of fighting against it, we fight this fight with him... we may forget but we can fight and say we're doing it for all of us. That way even if we forget... he's always going to be one of us." she reached towards her pocket and looked at the SoS ring and said, "That way he'll still be there every time with us to fight, even if it's just an inspiration we don't remember the root of." she looked to everyone and stated with as much certainty behind her voice as she could muster, "I don't care if it sounds corny... I need this promise. And I promise to fight for all of us."

Ananta looked towards Aux, listening to him. She nodded at him and stood up once Kaida looked to be doing better. She reached into her own pocket and looked at the SOS ring that she was given. She placed it on her right middle finger and clenched her fist. "He's in ours hearts. Forever and ever, no matter what." Ananta added, smiling with certainty. "I wonder how the others are doing? Do you guys think they're done in their respective worlds?" she asked, looking at Steel and Stratos. "Do you guys have any idea what we can do? If we think together, we can probably figure something out..." She shrugged. "Or we can get another boat and...float off into the sea..."

He was not sure what they were going to get out of here. They needed a boat and they currently did not have one. The one that they had come on was in part somewhere in the water around Arendelle. Then it sounded like Elsa was going back to Arendelle which was nothing but a good thing. Elsa had offered them a boat to take and he smiled know that soon he would be back with the others. Hopefully this boat would not just take them somewhere, where they did not want to be. Then one minute Anna was there the next she was gone almost like she had turned invisible. Which should not be possible. Then a strange ink mouse showed up which Elsa claimed to know and then shortly after said his name was Mortimer. From the sounds of things it sounded like Elsa had been working with the mouse. Whatever the case was it looked like they were not done here. Another battle was sure to follow. He was not afraid of this mouse. "You should give Anna back." He was ready for whatever was to come. He was beginning to wonder how many people were going to come after them today.

 

Ananta looked over at the explosion and whistled. "Whoa, that was cool." she commented. Her eyes moved to Aux and she nodded. "A boat does sound like a good idea. I bet if we go to the pier or something we can find one...." she said. "Er...but maybe small wooden ones and not getting a yacht." she corrected, looking towards where there were some boats docked. "Otherwise, we're screwed."

Ignis wasn't sure if she knew this mouse in front of them or not, but she certainly remembered dealing with a giant hoard of ink things back in The Wasteland, and this mouse reminded her a fair amount of that experience. She wasn't even sure if there should rightly be a living ink-mouse outside of a book, but she didn't really care. The guy, or thing, or whatever pronoun was proper to use, was irritating. Plus, the whole idea about using people just pissed Ignis off, especially with this creep's personality.
"Well, I don't think I know you, but you've already gotten on my irritating side." She brought out her keyblade and pulled her arm back. "And also, I don't appreciate to be used either. It brings up bad memories."
She hurled the keyblade at the mouse, attempting to make her point clear.
