As Aislinn ran up panicked, she saw Luna on the ground and immediately started to scan for enemies, before her heart calmed enough to notice that Luna was holding a dead deer in her lap, petting it. This was certainly going to be an interesting world at this pace. Sighing Aislinn walked up behind Luna and put a hand on her shoulder. "Is this why you screamed? You know this is part of the circle of life right?" Aislinn tried to keep her voice gentle as she spoke to Luna. She didn't want to upset the girl or make her think that she didn't care, but at the same time they didn't have time for this. "We should keep going. There is nothing we can do about it now after all." And someone was probably coming back for their kill, and Aislinn didn't want John Smith to be there when they did.

When Kel had arrived, he was relieved to see the lack of a bear looming over Luna and even more so that she was still conscious. Seeing her holding a dead deer was a surprise. He walked up to the two girls and said, "Aislinn is right, we can't do anything for it now." ,before looking over the deer. The deer had been hunted, which wasn't something that they could do about it. Not only did the Indians apparently have wolf like instincts, but they knew how to hunt. That was something that did worry Kel. As it stood there was no reason for the Indians to not see them as hostiles and fortunately the same was true for them being seen as hostile. They needed to keep things like that, especially with John Smith following them.

"Yes. That's the one. I wouldn't be fooled by appearances. Who knows what kind of horrors it could unleash upon an unsuspecting crowd." Kaida replied, just in time for her to ward this creature go swirling super fast into the old woman from earlier, watching as the poor old lady was smashed into a pile of fruit. The blue creature's head popped out of a watermelon, while the old woman's was shoved into it. Kaida winced visibly at that and whispered, "I-I meant something a little less... well... like what just happened." she watched as the older girl who she ran into earlier tried to help pry off the watermelon and get the blue creature out of there with the little girl. The old woman just looked more confused, and not very irate. Kaida felt like she would have been.

    Steel...

was feeling an awful lot like he just wanted to kill everything.

Sure, Ananta was kinda clingy and didn't always know how to read the room. But then, she came from a very different society and grew up by herself as well. Of course, his personal justification for her actions didn't mean he didn't understand where the others were coming from in being irate with her. But to once again jump to the other end of the spectrum, Ananta by herself was not what made this so far brief mission feel like the longest babysitting job in history.

Aux wasn't helping anything by being so down about everything. True, he had every right to feel upset, but if Steel was waiting around for the moment he had his big revelation that moping was just going to completely waste Hikaru's sacrifice... well the Eye might be left waiting till the end of time, and as he was now he'd probably just die.

Kaida was also contributing a fairly large amount. Out of four other people on the team she had already found it fit to go off on two of them... out of the three that had interacted with her. Maybe she wasn't on the best terms with Aux, and maybe Ananta wasn't always as aware of personal boundaries as she should be, but that wasn't a reason to go around being hateful. So far as Steel could recall from the Echoes, Kaida had just sort of awkwardly put up with Ananta before abruptly yelling at her.

A polite, 'I'm sorry but I want to be alone right now, could you please go away?' seemed to have never occurred to her.

Granted, she was upset. That was the problem, wasn't it? They were all upset, and three of them were not coping with it as well as the other two. Ananta was trying too hard to be supportive, Aux was being mopey, and Kaida was being demanding and hateful.

Which again leads him back to the fact that this had barely started and already felt like babysitting.

Steel stopped rather suddenly in his tracks, thoroughly going over the facts in his mind and trying to really think about what to say here. The two were still a ways away from the others, but he figured it would be best to talk to Ananta alone first. Sure, he was ticked off at all of them to some degree, but none of them were really bad people, and he had to find some way to get through to them and try to save them from themselves.

Heaven knows he had needed someone to do the same for him before...

The keyblade master and the woman fixing up his hair both were startled by the sudden appearance of the blonde boy. "Sweet jesus boy, where in the hell did you come from?!" The woman put her hand over her chest, trying to calm her heartbeat. "You scared me half to death!" Beuce looked over to the boy who seemed to come out of thin air as he asked him his question about if he had anyone special back home. He didn't exactly know how to say "everyone I ever knew or loved is dead." without sounding angsty. Not to mention, he could exactly give out all the details. Though he supposed he couldn't really get out of the question.

"Nah. I don't have anyone back home. My uh...'kingdom' was destroyed. There was a neighboring kingdom who invaded. We were completely wiped out. As far as I know, i'm the only survivor." The hair dresser held her hand over her mouth in shock. She put away her hairdressing tools, having finished her work. Beuce stood up and put on the rest of his suit he'd taken off, before looking into the mirror. He nodded, satisfied with the way he looked. He turned to leave, but the woman who had done his hair stopped him.

"Now where do ya think you're goin'? That story just about broke my heart, and I understand why you didn't want anyone to know where you're from now. It must be hard to talk about. You came here to marry one of the princesses so that you'd have a place to call home, didn't ya?" Beuce stammered out an "uhhh" before she shook her head. "Come here." The woman turned the 'open' sign on the shop to the other end, indicating it was closed. She began pulling chairs out of the way so that the center of the room would be open and stood in the center. Motioning for him to come closer, he did as he was instructed, albeit very confused.

"I'm gonna teach you to dance so you don't embarrass yourself in front of the princesses."

As Aux watched the old lady get her head stuck in a watermelon, he almost felt a twinge of satisfaction at her unlucky event. After all the trouble he had been put through with her, he felt this was a good enough way of watching the old lady get what was coming to her. Not that she did anything wrong, but she was enough of an annoyance for him to not feel sorry for her. Looking back at the dog, he thought to himself. "So what if we just offer to buy it or something?..."

"Do you think a little girl would part with her dog that easily? I don't think she understands monetary value, but you can give it a shot if you want..." Kaida replied as she watched them walk away towards a coffee shop a little ways down the way. Kaida started walking towards and said, "I don't wanna lose the others but I don't wanna lose that dog. If any of you wanna get them I'd do that... I'm not going near Ananta yet... I'm somehow more irritated looking at her than Aux. No offense." Kaida waved her hand as she headed towards the coffee shop.

What kid wouldn't want a lot of munny to spend? Unless she knew of Experiment 626's true abilities, it didn't hurt to at least consider bartering for the little blue alien. Watching as Kaida rushed on ahead, Aux quickly chased after her. "Fine, we don't have to try and buy it from her... But what if we just trade her the experiment for an even better dog." He nudged his head in Steel's direction hoping maybe she'd catch on. "I'm just saying, I'm sure Steel wouldn't mind being a pet for a couple hours...."

"I'll sell you off as a pet for a few hours..." Kaida mumbled under her breath, she looked over towards the direction of Steel and said, "I don't think he'd take kindly to it either." Kaida kept walking, trying to not go too fast for the three to think they were following them. The blonde stared forward and shifted her hair and asked, "...Aux... when... Hikaru returned your light to you... did you get those memories back he said he had that were yours?" Kaida crossed her arms and turned her head away and asked a little quieter, "...did you get any of his memories?"

Aux sighed, hoping this kind of stuff wouldn't come up on their trek. "It's kind of hard to explain... After you beat Mizrabel, a lot of my memories returned back to me. But then Sho took them away again. And then when we ended up on that Island in the realm of darkness, they all came back as if they never left..." He looked at the little girl and blue alien set up a small instrument as she was showing him how to strum. "But when Hikaru went and... left," he somberly finished. "I started getting small flashes of moments he experienced. Not memories exactly. But it was like I felt a bunch of small connections being carried over. As if I was meeting everyone he met all at once... It was overwhelming."

Stopping his plan to barter, purchase, or capture the alien, he took a moment to just look at it. They were meant to capture it because it was deemed evil an dangerous. Same could be said for Aux.

"I can't even hate the little monster. Not long ago that was me. With only an inner desire to destroy and conquer. With nothing else. Not even memories to look back on in the middle of the night. I hated those nights..."

As he watched the alien grew more enthusiastic and enjoying itself, he looked down.

"But not as much as I hate this," he bluntly stated. "I hate pretending it's just business as usual without him. I hate ignoring that I'm the reason he's gone. I hate that everyone else is enjoying the island when he only left us days ago." He looked down over to Kaida. "I'm sorry I ruined everything. I'd give anything to just return to the way it used to be."

Kaida stared off a bit as she listened to his response, she probably looked emotionless if only while she was trying to process how she felt about the situation. She really appreciated him opening up, she didn't think she had ever heard him this honest about his emotions before and that... meant something. Kaida looked over at Aux finally and sighed and said, "You don't remember what I said to you the day I went for my second mark of mastery? The last day before this chaos began?" she turned fully towards him ignoring the mission to say, "Hikaru would rather have us doing something with our lives rather than moping around." Kaida looked pained and said, "I don't... blame you for Hikaru's death..." she didn't realize it but tears were streaming down her face, "I think he knew it was going to happen... but I can't look at you without thinking you're going to be the death of me." she felt the tears and wiped them away and tightened her fist up to get herself angry just so she wouldn't cry, "I can't look at you without knowing you didn't trust me enough to talk about how to help Hikaru back then.. I thought we were on the same page... I-I thought that we were getting somewhere from just the sparring and the fights... then Hikaru woke up... and you weren't the same." Kaida felt the tears go through anyway despite her trying and she managed out through almost a squeak and she couldn't contain herself anymore as she covered her face, "Hikaru was doomed to die the day you took that remnant... and I couldn't do anything to stop it... because I was so Order focused... Hikaru died because I couldn't save you both..."

"Hikaru died out of circumstance," he tried to reassure. "No matter what, he would've jumped in to do the most selfless thing. Maybe that's why I did what I did," he weakly chuckled. "Wanted to do the right thing instead of him for a change. Guess that really backfired on me." Trying to be a little more light-hearted, he looked over to Kaida who seemed to be tearing up. His eyes grew more sympathetic as he turned quiet.

Should he hug her? Hikaru was always better at the more emotional moments. Instead he turned to her and grabbed her by both of her shoulders. He looked straight at her with determination.
"Everyone else will blame me for a while. And I'm fine with that. So don't you go blaming yourself okay?" He took out the whittled carvings Kaida made for him and Hikaru. "I picked these up before we left. I burned mine and stepped on his while under the remnant.... but he kept them anyways..." Aux dropped the charred lion and cracked wolf into her palm. "Because that's just who he was. Even though he's gone, he'll still look out for you no matter what happens. And so will I... Even if we're worlds apart."

Kaida stared at her palms as they held the two charms. She feel like this simultaneously made things better and worse. Better about the Aux situation, worse about missing Hikaru. She closed her palm and held them both up towards her chest and said, "Don't be a martyr for my sake. I still feel like this is my fault... no... no this is all No Heart. We can get through this." Kaida opened her palm and took the lion out. She pulled one of his hands off of her shoulder and placed it back in his hand and said, "Please. Please keep this. I made it for you after all. I want you to have it." she looked at it and said, "I mean, I could clean it up for you... carve off the charred part until it gets to the clean part under it..." she paused and closed her eyes, "I... I miss him so much."

"I think I'll keep it as it is.... a reminder to the things we've been through." He took the carvings from Kaida. "And even if we're burned or cracked, it reminds us of the things we've been through. As much as it hurts, I don't want to to forget. I want to be better for it. Because that's what he saw in us."

Kaida blinked when Aux said that and smiled sniffling and saying, "Oh my god that is the corniest thing I've ever heard you say. It sounds like something he'd say. Wait.... did he..." Kaida placed her hands under her chin and raised an eyebrow and looked amused, "Did he steal that from you? Is that the big secret?" she giggled a bit and said, "I don't mean to make you feel bad for it. I like it. It's a hundred times better than the brooding."

His eyebrows fell to their usual monotone ways, as his eyes darted the other way. "I think I liked it better when I didn't have to talk as much..." He looked over at Ananta and then back to Kaida. "You know, when I act like a jerk, it's almost expected. But when YOU act like a jerk, it seems to affect your group's morale."

Kaida did not mind Aux talking as much. It wasn't like he was talking 15 miles a minute. When he brought up her being a jerk, Kaida held her hands up defensively and said, "Hey. I didn't ask for this. I jumped in with these guys after Central Haven fell. It's not my fault everyone can't handle a good dose of bluntness." she paused a minute and sighed and said, "Look I'm... working on it. I just wanted to give Ananta some space before I apologized. I took my anger out on her... but it wasn't her..." Kaida opened her bag and pulled out a whittled squirrel and held it up, "I uh... actually made this for her... and was going to give it to her later..." Kaida suddenly heard guitar playing and looked over just in time to see a bunch of glass breaking at the coffee shop while the blue dog was playing the guitar and Kaida blinked and said, "That was also not subtle..."

The lady who was fixing Beuce's hair turned to him and said, 'Sweet jesus boy, where in the hell did you come from?!' A look of sadness over came him in that moment. Perhaps that was why none of the others had noticed he was there and tried to talk to him. "It is fine I am use to not being noticed, in fact sometimes it is almost like I am invisible." He could just disappear and no one would notice. That was when Beuce said, "Nah. I don't have anyone back home. My uh...'kingdom' was destroyed. There was a neighboring kingdom who invaded. We were completely wiped out. As far as I know, i'm the only survivor.' "Oh my... Beuce... I am so sorry." There was not much he could say or do for Beuce in that moment. 'You came here to marry one of the princesses so that you'd have a place to call home, didn't ya?,' the woman said. The woman turned the 'open' sign on the shop to the other end, indicating it was closed. She began pulling chairs out of the way so that the center of the room would be open and stood in the center. 'I'm gonna teach you to dance so you don't embarrass yourself in front of the princesses.' "What?" This woman was going to teach Beuce how to dance. He started walking backwards and almost fell over a chair that was in the waiting area. He could not do this. "I can't dance." It was not like he could leave here because the woman more or less locked them in. There was a look of fear in his eyes. As long as it was Beuce and not him it did not hurt to watch. It was not so much he could not dance more so that no one ever bothered to teach him. He was not really that thrilled to learn so he never bothered. He figured that it would never be useful. He only came to get a hair cut not to come and get random dancing lessons from a lady.

Getting a little bored waiting around for Beuce and AJ to finish up whatever they were doing to get their hair fixed and trimmed, she began to wander around looking for them. She looked through the windows of any store she passed by, trying to find them both. It amazed her how long it could take them just to get cleaned up a little. She almost began to feel like roles were reversed in this world with males and females. Though, she was the exception to that rule most of the time anyways, since she wasn't exactly very feminine most of the time. Than again, it wasn't like she wanted to act that way anyways, she had other things she was more interested in, like practicing her sword skills and whatnot. As she walked around, there was a store that she passed with a sign that had "closed" on it and walked by, but at she looked out of the corner of her eye, she noticed two boys in there with clothes she could never forget, considering how ridiculous one of them was. And from the looks of it, the owner of the place was clearing up the floor for something? It piqued her curiosity, and she knocked on the window to get their attention.

"Hey guys, what are you doing? I thought at all you needed was a hair cleaning?" She figured her voice was muffled slightly from being on the other side of the glass, but hoped they would hear her.

Ananta stayed quiet, wondering if Steel would ever respond to her. She waited and waited, taking a chance to try and calm herself down. Taking deep breaths, the green haired girl started to finally calm down and the feelings from before were starting to seem pretty silly. Sure she was a pest sometimes, but Ananta wasn't the worst person in the world. She is human and makes mistakes, just like everyone else. It took her a bit to come to this, but Ananta was finally able to calm herself down enough to help convince herself that she wasn't as bad as she was making herself out to be. Having somebody to listen to you also helped. Looking down at the flower once more, Ananta smiled to herself and sighed. "I...I think I've...realized what I did wrong. I didn't listen to her...nor did I respect her space." Ananta spoke, mostly for herself. She knew that now, maybe Kaida has calmed down a little and they could talk. They had a lot to talk about, anyway, so maybe Ananta could let Kaida know she was there for her now.

Wiping her eyes, Ananta looked up and saw Kaida also had red eyes. As if she, too, had been crying. Perhaps a good cry was what she needed after everything. She didn't exactly cry after the recent events. Ananta stepped from behind Steel and stepped towards Kaida and Aux before she heard guitar music. She turned to look towards the source and she blinked. "Oh, it's the blue dog." she spoke, chuckling. "Doesn't look so scary to me..."

Turning back towards the two, Ananta locked her eyes on Kaida, freezing in place. She was still scared to walk over to the girl, unsure if enough time had passed. She gulped and looked at them, walking a little closer before speaking up. "H....Hello..."
