After the last two Invisible heartless were gone one more soon showed up. After cutting through the first swath of heartless, he looked around the horde of shadows that seemed to be backing away from him. Stepping forward with his wepond at his side, the heartless instinctively continued to back away from him, only to eventually halt. The Invisible heartless that floated above the massive heartless floated above the mass horde of smaller heartless. He took a firm step forward and dashed off towards the horde, he ignored the smaller ones that made the occasional swipe at him. Only the ones that had actually gotten in his path were struck down. Of course, the mere flourish of his weapon did not seem to do much of anything and as the Invisible hearless readied its self. Still the number of Invisible heartless was quickly going down and they looked like they could do a lot more damage than the little guys. That being said the little guys in the quantity that they were swarming in could still cause issues if they wanted to.

Slowing his breathing, AJ breathed in once, and as he exhaled, time seemed to slow around him as the faint smell of cherry blossoms filled the air. He did not no where the smell came from. From what he could tell This place was dead so any smell was coming from the island most likely. It was that or he was imagining the smell all together. After that there was small cherry pedals that began to fall around him before he shot forward, time seeming to restore to its normal flow as he dashed through the air towards the towering Invisible heartless that was standing there. A serge of adrenaline pumped through his veins as he turned to see what was next. From there he did not miss a beat as he brought his weapon down onto the invisible heartless. The invisible heartless still alive rand a bit away. He was not sure how it lived but it would not matter soon he would just have to go after the invisable heartless. He rushed forward towards the invisable heartless. Through all this he managed to close the distance between himself and the Invisible, the heartless did not seem happy to see him. The invisable Heartless tried to drive its own sword forward but that was easy enough to dodge. He taking out the invisable heartless soon after

The battle was going well enough for what it was, one of the darkside heartless seemed to be weakening. The only reason he was able to see the darkside heartless was because it was so big. He could tell that it had certainly been taking damage because of its moment seemed to be slower. This was nothing but a very good thing. Catching his breath, he was a bit taken aback by the suddenness by which he was attacked by the creature. The boy felt a bit weird, having just fought so many but he knew this would not stop. Taking a deep breath, he began to focus on the opponent before him, before back stepping away from the heartless as it attacked him. The darkball heartless continued to put on the pressure. soon another dark ball had appeared behind him, mouth open. Stopping to not be bit by the creature, he stuck his hand out killing the one behind him. Now to take care of the one infrount of him as well. That was when the darkball heartless attacked again. Having avoided the attack by backing up to the palm tree and moving to the side. He looked back and it was time to go on the offensive. It was only for a moment, but the darkball heartless were all clustered up. Without wasting a moment, he seemed to be able to take out a few darkball heartless. A momentary pause and an unnatural stillness from those darkball heartless followed. He moved forward slightly and unleashed a flurry of blows before the one of the darkballs heartless could escape. His combo hitting was successful as the one of the darkball heartless faded into darkness.

Ignis knocked back a few heartless that were going after her when out of nowhere she began to hear a large amount of shouting, and then a strange aura began to glow around Ignis. She didn't know what was going on, but it seemed like a good thing at least. All of the keybladers around seemed to have the same aura surrounded them, so she figured they were getting help from someone. With that, she began to keep attacking the Heartless, knocking them away and cutting the amount down little by little. She looked around, just to get a view of the scenery, though she wasn't sure why she bothered. Everywhere she looked there were heartless swarming, and the giant Darksides were blocking the sky view as well. She noticed Aux and Aislinn taking on one of the Darksides while Stratos and Beuce were chipping away at the other. She wondered about maybe helping them out, but the Heartless around her seemed to have different plans.

She readied her keyblade, as Neoshadows began to surround her. Turning around, she noticed a bigger heartless flying above the rest. This one was seemed humanoid except for the big winds and the obvious whole in its stomach. Past that, it also had a giant sword that looked like it would be a really big pain. The Neoshadows stood at the ready, waiting to plunge. She figured they were just biding their time for when she was busy fighting the big guy, but apparently the Invisible was the one directing the Neoshadows. It thrust its sword forward, direction the Heartless to attack, and Ignis prepared herself for the mountain of Neoshadows that jumped at her all at once. She ducked to the side, getting out of the way as a bunch of them landed where she had been standing, and threw her keyblade, knocking a few of the Heartless to the side while others jumped out of the way. Getting her keyblade back, she charge at some of the shadows as they were getting their footing from their escape and knock them senseless, getting rid of a couple more. She figured the big guy wasn't going to do anything until the Neoshadows were all gone, and if that was the case, this was going to be a lot easier. On the other hand, if it decided to charge at her while she was busy dealing with attacks from all sides by the Neoshadows, she was going to be in a little bit of a bind. Taking an attack by another Neoshadow, she kicked it away as she was pushed back, then swung her keyblade vertically, sending a flame its way and singing the enemy.

As the amount of Heartless began to dwindle, the Invisible decide to attack on its own. Ignis was busy dealing with Neoshadows in front of her and in back, and only noticed the Heartless as it got above her, sword at the ready. She quickly jumped back, guard at the ready, as the heartless swung down, barely missing its target. As the strike hit the sand, a wall of it blocked the view between the Heartless and Ignis, and Ignis took the chance to strike back. She threw up keyblade at the Invisible, and as it flew, she ran to the side, getting behind the heartless. The Invisible blocked the keyblade with ease, like Ignis figured, but she took the chance to recall her keyblade and strike at the Heartless from behind. She lit up her keyblade and slashed at the Invisible, setting it aflame and ready to watch it dissipate. To her disliking, however, the heartless didn't feel like going away so quickly and began to spin around, sending out balls of dark energy. Ignis began to weave through the attack and got up close to the enemy again, and knocked it around with her keyblade, this time finally getting rid of it. She fell to the ground, with Neoshadows surrounding her still ready to attack.

With this new power in toe, Stratos felt like he could take on the entire army of heartless himself. As he looked towards the horde of enemies, he realized this was probably a bit of an over exaggeration, and figured he'd just stick to protecting the thundagolem. Looking over at it, it seemed to be holding its own against the dark side, and seemed to be even stronger than when it was first summoned. Thinking this was a good sign for the creature, Stratos turned his attention back towards the heartless that were congregating towards it, and spun his keyblade around as he moved towards them. His next opponents were slowly and surely coming towards them, the only ones seeming to pay much attention to this group being the neo shadow type heartless. Looking around, he saw that Kel, Luna and AJ were dealing with the majority of the dark balls, which probably explained why they were so preoccupied at the moment and only the neo shadows were coming to play. Stratos didn't mind so much, as it meant he was simply getting better at fighting these specific kind of heartless. So, getting ready, the boy rushed towards the neoshadows that were making their way here.

As he ran forward, he noticed there were five of them all making their way towards him at great speeds. The first three of them, rather than charging head long at him instead dove into the ground, becoming a part of the darkness itself. As they continued to run past him, two of the neoshadows still above ground instead rushed at him, leaping into the air. As they did, they began to spin, moving perpendicular to the ground as they charged at the boy. Clapping his hands together, Stratos created a small pulse of gravity, forcing both of the above Neo Shadows to crash into each other. The force of the crash, and their already attacking bodies colliding forced the creatures to destroy themselves. As he did this, he noticed that the shadows in the ground had moved behind him, and as they did, they leaped into the air, forming a triangle around him. Twirling his keyblade around, the boy merely said, "faith," channeling magic into the ground around him. Four pillars of light erupted from the ground, beginning to spin around the boy and the heartless that were trying to stop him. As a result, the four pillars ended up exploding against the neo shadows, destroying them and returning them back to the darkness that they had come from.

After having let loose a small flurry of blows against the dark side, the creature moved back, looking with pure hatred towards the golem. Stepping backwards the creature began to charge its fist with dark energy. Not giving it a chance to punch, though, the thundagolem moved forward and sent a jab out towards its gut. While the creature was visible hurt from the attack, it still managed to bring its hand up and smash its dark infused hand into the creature's torso. While it was clearly in pain from the attack, without a second hand the dark side didn't have a second hand to guard its face with. And so, one after the other it brought up its fist and with lightning charged magic the golem punched its head into the face of the dark side. With one punch after the other, it beat its fist into the head of the darkside, until the dark side brought its other hand up and managed to slap the fist away. The force of the creature's hand cause the golem to back up a bit, still clearly ready to keep going.

In the distance he could see another darkside heartless. Though there was a bit of smoke coming off the arm of the dark side heartless. After he moved forward slightly and unleashed a flurry of blows before the one of the darkballs heartless could escape. His combo hitting was successful as the one of the darkball heartless faded into darkness. The heartless around him had to have been anticipating his first step because a darkball heartless with a little shadow heartless riding atop its head had flown directly in front of him. The shadow heartless struck first with its claws outstretched and was swiftly swatted it to the side. The darkball heartlesson the other hand was more on the persistent side with its attacks and spent a bit flying around AJ, narrowly avoiding all of his attack that he threw at the heartless. When the heartless thought it say its chance to strike, it opened it mouth and prepared to strike. That proved to be a fatal mistake for He was able to dodge the attack and launch a counter attack of his own. Vaporizing the darkball heartless soon after. As the blonde settled down a bit more, he began to consider possibilities to get further out of the jam he had placed hhimself in.

With the first of the darkball like heartless having been felled, he was given a bit of a reprieve to catch his breath. As he did so he started to think of what the heartless were like here. The last time he had fought the darkball heartless, in the first wave, they were only difficult to face due to his sheer unfamiliarity with them. However, this time they seemed to be far more ferocious in nature, and not only were they more aggressive but he had felt as though they were faster and stronger as well. They were able to continually exert great pressure, greater then what he had experienced not a few moments ago, and he wondered what was going on here. And though he had only managed to fight a few darkball heartless in the last encounter, these too seemed stronger as well. Trying to figure out what was going on here he looked around and did not see much. He was soon swiftly cut off as another darkball heartless came down to attack him.

Dodging away from the attack first, he did not want to deal with another one of these things so quickly after the last, especially with the damage he had taken so far. He needed to get his wounds healed, though, he hardly expected the heartless to give him the breathing room to actually cure himself. He had to blink a few time to readjust his vision, while the now defeated darkball heartless took a large portion of the blow, he was still a bit dazed from the impact.

The first of the darkball heartless moved fast towards him. Rather than lunging at them, as they would not to do, this darkball heartless floted in a odd way towards him. As it did, two more came out of nowhere. The last two, behind the first, merely seemed to flote there, looking as if they were waiting for something to happen. As the first of the darkball heartless had finally closed to the distance. He watched as more darkball heartless began to rise in front of him. Their bright eyes illuminated the atmosphere of darkness that was laid before them. He let out a sigh time for battle. Holding his weapon aloft, he looked onwards to the swarm of darkball heartless. Hoping to try and deter their efforts while saving some of his own stamina, he helt his wepond over his head. Pointing straight at the darkball heartless and attacked them.

With the last assortment of neo shadows destroyed, Startos took a moment to look around to see what kind of creatures of darkness were coming towards him. Seeing that there were still a collection of Neoshadows roaming around, the boy figured he'd go and attack them, only for his attention to be brought back towards something different. Looking towards the golem, which he realized he was now a bit of a distance away from it. As such, it took him a moment to notice that there was something moving through the ground towards the physical magical being of lightning. One after the other, creatures began to move up through the ground, reaching their claws up from below the shadows and hoisting themselves up into the physical world. He realized that the reason he hadn't noticed it was because they weren't neo shadows going towards the thundagolem. Instead, they were much smaller and much less threatening. But there was much much more of them. Pulling themselves towards the creature, a horde of regular shadows started to surface themselves and with a simple swipe, clawed at the creature's leg. While the damage was minimal, the fight against the dark side was more likely than not already stressful on the golem, and thus any amount of external damage was probably more likely than not fatal to the creature's continued performance.

Moving out, Stratos began running back towards the creature, trying to see just how many shadows there were. The more he ran and looked, the more seemed to appear out of the ground all walking towards this giant beacon of lightning. At the end of it all, Stratos figured there were likely somewhere around 20, maybe closer to 30, shadows that were swarming the creature all moving to scratch at it. A few hits had gotten in, the heartless managing to reel back their claws and raking them against the ankles of the golem before Stratos had managed to get there. Thankfully, a few of them were destroyed just due to attacking the electric charged body and being destroyed by the residual lightning, while others merely recoiled from the shock, being partially stunned. Pointing his keyblade to the air, Stratos sent a surge of magic towards the heartless once in range, sending a spark into the air. Following that was a collection of lightning bolts falling from the sky, striking against a collection of the shadows. The lightning shocked some of the already stunned ones, being destroyed instantly. While that wasn't enough to stop the flow of shadows, it was a start and spinning his keyblade around, the boy tossed it to cleave through a few more. As that was happening, he motioned with his hands towards the other group of shadows, causing gravity wells to form on them and crush them underneath the force of it.

The thundagolem was knocked a bit off balance, the force of the Dark side's slap being quite large still. While it was about to go back into pounding damage into the similarly gargantuan creature, it suddenly felt a pain in its legs, causing its focus to move downwards. As it saw the shadows raking their claws into them, the golem's focus faltered for a moment, which the darkside capitalized on by sending out a surprisingly fast and strong punch into the golem's sternum. Being blown back, the stumbled backward after recieving the heavy blow, clearly being damage by it. However, as it did, it noticed that there no longer anything at its legs. Unrestricted for movement now, the creature bolted towards the dark side and countered with a fast and heavy punch of its own into the dark side's face.

After using the bark chipper he used it as a weapon and brought to toward the darkball with a scream. He looked on to the heartless. As soon as the neoshadow and the shadows were gone more just seemed to come. After cutting through the last swath of heartless, he looked around the horde of shadows that seemed to be towards him more now. Stepping forward, slightly the heartless instinctively continued to come towards him. Only to eventually halt a few feet away. It looked like he was just going to be stuck here until he died or the battle was over. He hatted thing about what would have happened if he took the portal to the island. They probably would have walked state into a trap. He was sure that had he gone through the portal it most likely would have much, much worse. They were geting smarter.

Continuing his defensive stance now that his only way out was gone. He decided that going after some of the bigger heartless might be best. That said he did not think that he had much of a choice in the manner. Picking on the bigger heartless first before bothering with the smaller heartless seemed like the best idea but no matter what ended up happening he was sure to get overwhelmed at some point. He was quite thankful that he somehow had not got himself killed yet. He wished he could be of a little more help to others but with no way of getting to them and no way on them to get him he was and they were out of luck. He knew that he needed to pace herself or he might die faster. slow death or a fast one? He did not think that it was much of a choice. If he was going to deal with the large heartless he could not waste time on the smaller heartless as well. If he tried to do too much at once, he would exhaust himself far too fast and would not be a good thing. There was also the fact he might die. Still only taking out a few heartless at a time was the best option for now.

That being said the little guys in the quantity that they were swarming in could still cause issues if they wanted to. They already were for what he could tell as they were the only ones that kept on coming. When ever he made a move to go after a neoshadow in the distance a shadow to walk in and he would have to take care of the shadow first. It looked like the heartless were not giving him a option on who to fight and there seemed to be deciding for him that it would be the shadows. Having no intention of slowing down against these heartless, he stood his ground agest the heartless that mad his way toward him. They moved forward towards him. With the blade still in hand, the boy began to attack as they came towards him.

After the last wave of heartless had been dealt with he thought that the heartless were somehow thinning. He had a feeling that this would not last that long. He knew that soon enough somehow more heartless would come out of no where. No sooner had he thought this then over the heads of some of like five shadows, who at this point seemed weak, rose several dark balls. With a spin, kick and slash of his weapon he took the five shadows out and then the darkballs made there way towards him. With blade in hand, the boy began to make his move towards the side as a large collection of darkballs made there way towards him. Some of the darkball heartless seemed to be far fatter around then the ones he fought before. They were defently different then the regular darkball heartless. killing it shortly after.

Kaida was feeling pretty good at this point about the horde and keeping it at bay. The blonde continued to use a bunch of projectile and area of affect spells to try and keep the horde from getting close. A couple times the girl willingly ran up towards her opponents to use abilities that would help to recharge her magic but otherwise she kept a distance. This time, she was moving fairly fast to pick off the edge of the horde. Trying to get the ones jumping at her more so than jumping towards them. It felt very satisfying to her to feel calmer about it.

Hikaru jumped up at the sight of a darkball, striking way with his keyblade as he punished the heartless with an aerial combo. After defeating the heartless, he turned to find a whole gaggle of darkballs swaying their heads back and forth as they approached him. He held his keyblade in his defensive stance, feeling the wind through his long blue hair as the darkballs sped past them. They begin circling around him tilting their heads left and right with their mouths wide open. The darballs surrounding him felt very predatory as they continued to chomp their jaws one after the other as if trying to scare him off. Hikaru was not amused and din't waver as he kept a tight circle formation on his own, watching as more of the heartless began to gather. Trying to be very tactful, he felt his keyblade begin to emanate with a powerful glow. He felt stronger as he gripped his keyblade looking to the darkball with a newfound determination. Seeing as how they were airbourne he knew he couldn't do much in terms of ground damage. Anything he did to them at this point would have to be ranged or aerial. Maybe both.

He took his keyblade and shot a blizzard spell straight into the sky. The darkballs looked up at the blizzard spell as the ice spell shot outwards, covering a wide range. The blizzaga spell shot into the faces of several daarkballs, blinding and freezing them. Hikaru taking his chance, jumped into the air and dashed towards a frozen darkball that was falling to the ground. He leatp at the chance and dealt of flurry of blows with his keyblade. He continued to jump off the darkball, causing it to completely disperse before moving onto the next. He went from darkball to darkball, performing combo after combo with a new invigorated aura around him. As he continued to slaughter them, he thought about his own aura in the back of his mind. He thought about which he would choose, but he never took the time to stop and really think about what kind of auras he would use. He knew magic was always a vital part of his arsenal, so he knew that was a very high option for him to use in the future. What other elements were there... He recalled something about sound and blade being elements, but he didn't think he'd be able to use them well. He saw Aislinn singing about earlier and didn't think he'd be able to do any of that. Especially doing hat on key. Blade involved a lot of techniques using the keyblade, but Hikaru had never been much of a fighter. He thought about the more spell based elements, as he cast out another blizzard spell. What about Ice? He used Blizzaga numerous times this entire battle and he was fond of the range he gained during it's most powerful form of basic ice magic. Hikaru fell to the ground after defeating the last darkball and fell to the ground, feeling a light blue almost cyan-like aura began to envelope his body. He breathed deeply and saw as he could begin to see his own breath. The hot air from his mouth began to create a very chilling sensation as he could feel himself getting colder. Yet surprisingly, he didn't feel the need to shiver or actually be cold. His eyes had a shimer to them as he breathed once more, watching as his breath could be seen. He had unlocked level 1 of his ICE aura; also known as Diamond Dust.

Stratos had to step away from the golem, as it was forced away by the initial punch of the dark side. Being near the lightning golem, Stratos was able to see just how large it actually was and knew that a being that large would hurt to be crashed into by. He also figured that the lightning charging off of the creature would be no good to be hit by either, and even though it obviously wouldn't have been actively trying to harm him, its body was made of lightning. So it probably didn't have much of a choice if the boy accidentally ran into it, or in the more likely and current situation, it was forced into him. As it was coming at him at great speed, the boy channeled his gravity magic into his legs, and with a burst of magical power managed to leap away from the golem. Being able to clear the distance, jumping far farther then he first expected, the boy landed onto the ground at great speeds and rolled a bit before springing back to his feet. The boy looked on as the two titans continued to match blow for blow against each other, the thundagolem looking quite injured but the dark side looking none too health either. Its once solid black form was beginning to break apart, and wounds that it had accrued were smoking with darkness, no longer instantly repairing and regenerating themselves. Knowing that his job was working out already, the boy merely looked around, looking for more heartless to safe guard the golem from.

Of course, true to the type of heartless he was used to fighting, more neo shadows had begun to start running towards them. Calling his keyblade to his side, the boy looked towards the heartless. There were five of them, barreling towards the thundagole, and were on the opposite side of the golem that Stratos was. Being quite far away from it now, Stratos knew that he had to clear some of the distance between him and them, or else they would get to the dark side and swing the fight instantly in its favor. Taking a deep breath, knowing that the time between the last time and now wasn't that great, the boy braced himself for the coming fatigue. With cherry blossoms flowing through the air, the boy disappeared in an instant, appearing in between the five heartless, cleaving into one of them. After destroying the creature, the other four turned around and saw that there was now a keyblade wielder in between all of them, and decided to try and fix that. With claws at the ready, they dove at the boy, who responded by striking his keyblade into one of them, saying, "drain." Ripping his keyblade out of the heartless, the form of the creature broke apart as it merged with the keyblade master, revitalizing him and curing him of fatigue, before he struck his keyblade at the ground. Four orbs of light surrounded the boy, tearing into all of the neo shadows as the explosion destroyed the remaining three.

Meanwhile, after using one hand to punch the dark side in the face, the Thundagolem went to follow up with an uppercut. The dark side saw this coming and, with darkness imbued hands, caught the fist, trying to force it down. However, the thundagolem merely charged its fist with lightning until it was entirely overcharged, exploding as a result. The dark side was forced back, the resulting explosion surprising and harming it, the smoke and scars on its hands being evident of that. The thundagolem flexed at the dark side again, its now destroyed hand slowly reforming.

With one of the darkside heartlless long gone and the other one weakened it looked like this battle fighting the darkside heartless would not be as hard as he first thought. A opening opened up and he was able to see the battle between two people. oddly enough he was able to hear them. As Shiro battled his former commanding officer, Hughes found himself to be continuously overwhelmed by Shiro's raw power. Shiro continued to hack and slash away at him, Hughes struglling to keep up with the younger man. 'Age does not suit you old friend. Neither does the darkness you've let cower in your heart!' Shiro spoke. Hughes grunted as he summoned at least a dozen neoshadow heartless to attack him from the rear. Shiro turned and slashed away the Neoshadows with ease. 'Cheap tricks Colonel? I accepted more honor for a man who served so many years. Shiro spoke intimately without pushing as much booming presence in his voice as he used to. He and Hughes had a shared history that he wished to rectify. ' But then again, I can't say I'm surprised. I've always disapproved of your methods!' 'AND IF YOU WON'T PLAY FAIR THEN NEITHER WILL I! THIS AURA ALLOWS ME TO INCREASE THE FIGHTING POWER OF EVERYONE HERE!' As he said this, a small, silver glow began to emanate from the keyblades of every fighter on the battlefield. He felt a strange range of power. Well this was going to be fun.

The darkball heartless on the other hand was more on the persistent side with its attacks and spent a bit flying around AJ, narrowly avoiding all of his attack that he threw at the heartless.

Deciding to blast things into kingdom come this time, Kaida set herself seekermine on the ground around the horde and stood up into the tree. Although concerning where she got them, Kaida had little luna dolls made that sat over each mine. When the heartless began to go after the little dolls, Kaida sent a fireball in their direction, which made all the Luna dolls go into berserk mode and slam into the ground and set off the mines so many heartless went down in the fury of Luna. Kaida hoped Luna would never find out about this. She probably would.

After having felled the five neo shadows, Stratos looked over to see if there were any other heartless that needed taking care of at the moment in the immediate area. Of course, he didn't see any right away and his attention was forced back to the fight between the large dark humanoid heartless and the physical lightning golem, as a large large flash of light and lightning was seen coming from the fist of the Thundagolem. As the explosion took place, Stratos covered his eyes, his jacket being swept back in the wind of the resulting force of the explosion. Looking at the two, as the thundagolem was missing one of its hands, though slowly regenerating, he knew his job now was more important then ever to stop any of the heartless from converging on it. Seeing that the two heartless were now totally focused on one another, Stratos looked around to see what other heartless were coming towards the thundagolem. As he did, he saw the neo shadows begin to crawl out from the ground, their inky black bodies slinking out from a pool of shadow, as they began to move towards the thundagolem. Walking towards the thundagolem, the three neo shadows had their claws at the ready as they went to go rake them against the thundagolem's body.

Not wanting that to happen, of course, Stratos imbued his legs with the same gravity magic trick he had done before. With his aura buffing his powers, he had managed to do one large super jump towards the creatures. As he decided to long jump and keep himself low to the ground, he was able to extend his hand out to the ground, pushing against it to brake and turn it into a roll. As he did, he managed to roll into the heartless, feet first planting into the neo shadow's face and forcing it away from his lightning companion. The other four, surprised by this basically flying kick keyblade wielder turned their attention to him instead, the keyblade being far more pressing on their list to get rid of then the large body of lightning. After his kick, the boy managed to land on his feet, skidding across the ground, spinning his keyblade and tossing the weapon with a strike raid, cleaving the heartless in twain. As another of the neoshadows leaped towards the boy, he merely high jumped as well, imbuing his keyblade with ice and striking twice in a cross before bringing down a finishing third hit. Before he could land back on the ground though, the other three neo shadows jumped after him. Channeling his gravity magic onto him, the boy fell much faster towards the ground, dodging the heartless as a result. Stabbing his keyblade into the ground, he channeled earthen magic through it, causing 8 mines to appear around him. As the heartless landed, the small discs of magic homed in on the heartless, exploding as a result and destroying the neoshadows in an instant.

With its hand broken, the thundagolem had to buy time for itself as the hand slowly repaired itself. Meanwhile the dark side wanted to press its advantage, channeling the dark magic into its hand, letting loose a large magically infused punch at them. Knowing that it could afford to block now, the creature evaded to the side of the punch, charging up its other hand with lightning magic. Balling its hand into a fist, the creature let loose a fast hook towards the darkside's head, letting loose an explosion of magic into the face of the creature forcing it backward.

Continuing with her bad luck of being chased by heartless nonstop, Ignis was running for her life, away from the hoard of Neoshadows that were gunning for her. She really didn't understand why these things chased after her so much. Sure, they were fighting against and all, but they could at least do her the favor of going after someone else in a giant hoard and not her. She spotted Hikaru and ran up to him, thinking of no better solution to deal with her predicament.

"Hey, Hikaru! Sorry, but I'm gonna leave you to babysit these guys!" She ran past him, hoping the heartless would be dumb enough to actually stop chasing her.

Luckily, the Neoshadows actually were dumb enough to stop chasing her, since the moment they spotted Hikaru, they froze and kept fidgeting around, as if they were debating going after Hikaru or Ignis. Taking this chance, Ignis jumped over a couple broken barrels and down a little ledge, getting out of sight from the Neoshadows. She looked over, making sure they hadn't noticed her, then breathed a sigh of relief. As she figured out what to do next, she felt a little tickling on her back. She swatted it away, keeping her eyes on the group of Neoshadows. The tickling kept coming back, and the frustration was starting to get to Ignis.

"Okay, whoever's doing that needs to stop!" She turned around and noticed that she had gone out of the frying pan and into the oven.

In front of her was a giant mound of Shadows, all of them covering the ground to the point that Ignis couldn't see anything but black bodies and beady yellow eyes. The Heartless swarmed around, a little like bugs, and Ignis noticed one more that was right in her face, staring with a blank expression. Though considering they didn't really have a face besides the whole eyes, they always seemed to have a blank expression to her. She quickly grabbed her keyblade and jumped up, getting the one off of her and alerting all the others that were swarming around. She quickly let lose some flames, and scorched the earth beneath her, quickly dispersing a handful of Shadows. The rest of the seemed ready to finally do something, as a group of them jump at her and the others began to swarm about the ground with even more energy. She threw her keyblade at the ones coming at her, and aimed for the head of one that was passing beneath her, landing on top of it and squishing it beneath her boots. The rest on the ground began to converge on Ignis, all wanting to get their little two cents. Ignis quickly let lose another flame and burned some more, creating a little opening for her to get out of the hoard and not be surrounded. She took the chance and got out, having a giant hoard of Shadows now chasing her instead of a hoard of Neoshadows. She really didn't think one was better than the other, but at least these guys were smaller. She turned back around to face them and tossed her keyblade multiple times, taking out more Heartless as they closed in. As she kept throwing her keyblade, a few ran across the ground , all nice and flat and unable for her to hit them. They popped out right under her, and threw her off balance. Ignis fell backwards and placed her hand to the ground, catching herself and throwing her weight to kick the heartless back. She left one around and threw a punch knocking it back and blowing it up, taking a fair number of Shadows with them. By this point there was definitely less heartless, but there was also definitely a lot more to deal with.

As the lightning golem's fist connected with the dark side's face, Stratos's attention was turned over towards the fight between the large creatures. He winced a bit reflexively, seeing the explosion of lightning across the dark sides' face which forced the opposing creature back. Looking at the dark side, it was looking much worse for wear then it originally had. While its body was already showing lasting signs of damage, wounds all over its body bleeding out dark smoke. More recently, however, its face looked worse for wear as well, the mess of tendrils that had been across it not being nearly as large as it had been before. Parts of it were missing, while others just seemed burned off or melded into the rest of creature's face; a clear scorch mark indicating this as smoke of darkness indicating the wound and being caused from the heat of lightning showcasing itself. The fight against the titanic creature seemed to be nearing its end, and thus, Stratos had figured he would go back to his job of slaying neo shadows. Now, while it wasn't guaranteed that he would be fighting against, given the current trend he had been seeing here, it was almost a definite conclusion to reach.

As if the universe were trying to prove him right, as he looked on to see what heartless were being attracted towards him, it was yet again five neo shadows. The group of shadows began to walk towards him, noticing the boy's keyblade and taking far more of their focus onto it then they put on the lightning golem behind him. Twirling his keyblade around, Stratos gestured towards the keyblade, provoking the heartless towards him with a smile on his face. The heartless, clearly being goaded by this, started to bare their claws and rush towards the boy. The boy began running to meet the heartless midway through the their dash, and with a burst of speed slid across the ground with a dash and cleaved through one of the neoshadows. Breaking himself against the ground, skidding on his feet, he moved past the other four heartless, with the neo shadows being shocked by a tactic that Stratos had used numerous times by now anyway. Igniting his keyblade, the boy ran towards one of them, with one of the neo shadows ran towards him slashing at him with a claw. As the two weapons collided, Stratos won out on the power clash, destroying the heartless with his fire strike, only to point his keyblade at another one firing off a blast of fire into another, killing it in a single explosion. Of course going on the offensive left him open, and so he was cut by two seperate claws moving through him, wincing in pain as it happened. Tossing his keyblade into the air, the neoshadows seemed confused only for the boy to clap his hands together. A rush of gravity pushed down on the heartless, crushing them against a large amount of pressure on them.

After the lightning punch had connected with its opponents face, the golem's other hand finally restored itself. Instantly going to use it, the creature went to punch the darkside, only for it to raise up an arm and blocked the fist with said arm. While the lightning golem's fist was able to force its way through the arm, bringing up its other arm and going into a punch. Landing its lightning charged fist into the side of the darkside, the creature buckled under the pressure of the hit, though was still managing to stand tall and hold its ground.

Wrapped up in his own battles Stratos didn't even seem to notice or care when Aislinn had approached to help him and tried to talk to him. While she supposed that was fair enough, he had a lot to focus on and seemed to be splitting his attention between the large creature and some of the smaller heartless, it still felt a little disheartening that he had not even offered as much as a wave as she joined in the battle, instead trying to take down the giant by himself. Did he know that he didn't have to do everything on his own? Did he realize that she, that they were all here to help him and he didn't have to move at near impossible speeds just to take down everything on his own. She was there to help, she wanted to help the best that she could, and seeing the damage she did to the last heartless, Aislinn believed that her help could change the tides of things at least a little more in his favour, even if he didn't want to accept it.

As she prepared for the next set of attacks there was a commotion behind her. Distracted for a moment Aislinn turned to see the man who summoned the heartless, and the man who had offered to help with the fight facing off. Their battle was intense and she could see two sets of Aura's glowing around them, much like hers was glowing. As she watched their battle, Aislinn couldn't describe what happened but she was feeling stronger, more ready to fight. She was given a renewed sense of vigor as she turned her attention the the darkside that she had jumped in to help Stratos fight earlier. In that moment of awe watching the two men, it seemed that Stratos was hard at work as the Dark side was suddenly suffering a lot more than he had been before. That was fine, she was okay with the heartless being on it's last legs, but that did not mean she was just going to walk away now and continue letting Stratos fight a battle on two sides, she could help him deal with this thing first and then they would deal with the rest of the heartless she was sure.

Letting the new strength fill her bones, Aislinn closed her eyes and took a moment to just breath, sensing with her mind where things were, what was going on. Just as she opened them, the hands of the heartless swept across the ground as he knelt down, exactly what she had expected. Having picked up their patterns of behavior through her last battle it was through no magical feat that she guessed what he was about to do with her eyes closed, just out of knowledge of the situation around them. Taking advantage of the arms being close to the ground, Aislinn ran forward, darting and dodging between orbs of darkness as she closed the distance between her and the enemy, taking a couple swings at it's arms while she still had the chance to do that. The creature when the stand up and Aislinn stabbed her keyblade into it's arm, holding on tight for the ride up. When she finally thought she could, she swung herself up so she was standing on the arm, and ran down, dragging her keyblade with her, leaving a devastating long gash in the heartless's arm before she turned and jumped off, narrowly avoiding it's other arm that was trying to strike at her and get her off of him, much like a person swatting at a fly.

As he was about to begin fighting the large collection of heartless, his attention was turned towards the dark side once again, as it had been for so many times before. As he needed to focus on the big opponent and see if it was going to do anything while focusing on the littler ones as well. Looking over, he had seen a small glowing figure darting its was towards the darkside. As it did, the dark side let loose are barrage of dark spherical projectiles, which the person seemed to dodge past and deflect only to then get onto its already wounded arms. Stratos looked in awe, as the person had managed to cleave into the already wounded arm and left a large gash, darkness smoking off of it as it reeled back in pain. As the creature now seemed to be bleeding darkness from every which way it was only a matter of time before it ended up being felled. Looking at the figure who had come to aid him, Stratos realized that it was his partner from La Cites de Cloches, Aislinn who was using her own aura at the moment to help fight against the creature. As she seemed to be safe now, having avoided the heartless's last attack, the boy gave a wave to her.

"Hey Aislinn, thanks for coming over, "he called out. "How have you been so f-" it was then that Stratos cut himself off, seemingly recalling something. It was at that moment that he played back all of the memories in the most recent encounters that he had, thinking back to all of his different heartless fights, playing it in reverse. It wasn't until he got to a few neo shadow fights that he remembered the girl calling out to him, saying that she was here to help him against this foe, saying to try and make it quick against it. Holding up his hand, he said, "oh you've been here for awhile haven't you. Oh, this is awkward. But uh," quickly recovering from his awkward discovery the boy said, "yeah, partner, let's make this quick. With that number you did on its arm over there," the boy pointed to the still smoking gash he continued, "I think we're just about ready to finish it off. So how's about it," he held his fist up towards the woman, going for an air fist bump to her given the distance, "one last powerful strike from each of us ought to do it."

Putting his hand on his blade, the boy started to focus inward, and reaching out to a power he hadn't used in quite some time. While it was clear that Stratos was using a limit, do the lightning crackling from his chest and covering his body as his heart glowed, it wasn't clear exactly what he was doing. After all, when he had used his Hunter Limit, the lightning was a yellow color. However here, the lightning did not have one color, instead shifting between each and everyone one of them forming a rainbow effect around his body that soon localized itself onto his blade. As he did this, petals began to scatter around his, though instead of the usual pink cherry color they had, they were more a blue and white coloration. As his blade charged up with light, becoming an intense sword made of raw light energy the boy looked at his target. Getting into a stance as though he were ready to draw his blade he merely said, "Link Synchro: Tenken." With that, the boy vanished from sight, appearing on the other side of the dark side in a single instant. The dark side didn't seem to notice anything at first, however, soon a white slash mark appeared across its arm. Looking at it, the white soon expanded until it became a violent explosion of light, severing the dark side's arm entirely. Looking to Aislinn he said, "it's all yours."

It was almost cute as she approached Stratos. He waved and quickly realized his mistake of not noticing her earlier. It wasn't that Aislinn minded at all, with all this chaos around it was hard to keep track of everything, but she supposed they needed to try. If she was an enemy instead of a friend, it would have been very likely that Stratos wouldn't be standing their greeting her, but instead bleeding out at her feet. All and all though she supposed it was just good that everything worked out. With a small giggle Aislinn motioned to where the other Dark side had once stood. "No problem, with that one dealt with I thought you could use a little help. It seemed as though I was wrong though, for one person you managed to do some impressive damage on that thing. I am actually quite amazed seeing how many other heartless you are fighting at the same time." She remembered he was strong from their time working together, but she had not really realized how strong this boy was until she came face to face with the creature he had been fighting, seen all the damage he had done to it in such a short period of time.

It was nearly down and Stratos seemed willing to share in the glory of the kill. "Lets do this. We don't have much time to waste, lets see what you are made of." Aislinn took a step back to see what Stratos could do, give him room to do his own abilities, gauging his fighting style a little bit just out of intrigue. Though it seemed that she wasn't allowed to just watch the battle as heartless started to interfere with their battle, likely trying to protect the stronger allies. As she watched she noticed a sword fly at her and was barely able to roll out of the way before it came out of it's aetherial form and stood in front of her in the form of an Invisible Heartless, much like the ones she fought during the first wave, well at least Aislinn knew how to deal with those. Rolling out of the way of it's attacks she focused on taking it down quickly, first trying to stab at it's arms. When that didn't force it to drop their weapon she stabbed for is's chest followed by it's face. Finally the thing dropped just as Aislinn turned around, spinning her keyblade to deflect an attack from the dark ball before at last she dropped that too.

Turning back to Stratos all Aislinn saw was white light followed the the complete severing of the arm. Walking back Stratos informed her it was all hers. "Thanks for saving some fun for me." She smiled as she ran forward using the energy that she was saving up to make a less flashy attack than before but an effective one. As she ran and picked up speed to most it almost looked like she blinked as she moved from where she was to the heartless in a streak of white light that pierced through it's shoulder. That was not the end though. With the help of her attack, Aislinn then had her keyblade wedged in far enough that she planted her feet on the body and started to push down and run, dragging her keyblade all the way down the creature until it finally dislodged from it's lower hip. The Darkside stood there for a moment looking stunned before the upper half of the body slid from the lower half, both tumbling forward as the darkness started to take them.

Still dealing with the large hoard of Shadows that wouldn't give her a minute of rest even if it were to kill them, Ignis sent another slash of fire across the way, burning some Shadows and knocking some back with it. At this point she was ready to just lie down and toss her keyblade in every direction like mad, just so she wouldn't have to keep running around, but of course the Heartless wouldn't have that. Every time she figured she had found a good tempo to keep up with the heartless, some few decide to grow a semblance of a brain and sneak up by running through the ground and getting up close and personal, making her have to jump back into the swarm of Heartless and making sure she wasn't overwhelmed by the sheer number of them. Seeing that it probably wasn't doing her any good fighting them where they were all holed up, Ignis looked around to see if she couldn't get some kind of advantage.

A little ways away she noticed a broken down bridge and wondered if she might be able to make use of that. She knocked some Shadows away and began to run as fast as she could, soon enough hearing the loud sounds of heartless running over each other. She wondered how many there actually were that she was dealing with, but it probably didn't matter, since eventually she or someone else was going to have to deal with them anyways. Turning around and throwing her keyblade at some Heartless that jumped at her, she tried to pick up the pace, trying to get the high ground as soon as possible. Some Darkballs appeared out of nowhere, apparently wanting to get in on the chase, and Ignis did not feel like having any part of that. She jumped up toward them and knocked them away full force, immediately vaporizing one of them and sending the other bouncing into the swarm of Shadows. Ignis turned her head to look at them and almost wished she didn't, since what she saw just lowered her spirits on the sheer number of heartless she was fighting against. As the Darkball bounced on the ground, knocking a few Shadows through the air, eventually it came to a stop on the ground, and then the Shadows began to pour over it, so many of them running over it that eventually the Darkball just got lost in the wave of Shadows, never coming back up again. Ignis was almost certain she even saw the smoke from the Darkball vanish into the air, but she couldn't tell with all the creatures after her.

Eventually she managed to get to the broken bridge she had eyes and got on top of it, turning around and looking at the mounds of Shadows. At this point it almost looked like an ocean of them, covering all the area around her. She needed to deal with a large number of them at once, and could only think of one way to do that. Well, technically she thought of two ways, but the last time she was forced to use her aura past her limits she almost fainted, so that only left one viable options. Some of the heartless began to jump at her, trying to get in any sort of attack, and Ignis took the opportunity to punch each of them back, watching as they fell into the never ending swarm of shadows and eventually blowing up, taking the surrounding Shadows with them. What made it simple was that some Shadows were blown right toward Ignis so she was able to just keep knocking them back into the mass of Heartless, watching them blow up and then getting more heartless to strike back.

At this point though, she figured she wasn't going to get anywhere on her own and just yelled into the air out of frustration. "If anyone's free, I could really use a hand here! Unless you'd rather I became heartless chow!?"

"Well that was fun. Perhaps I might have gone a little over dramatic with the way I killed the thing, but those pesky Dark Sides were starting to get on my nerves. Far too resilient for my tastes." Clapping and rubbing her hands together, Aislinn seemed to be trying to get some sand off her hands before finally giving up and rubbing them on her pants to clean them off a little bit. "So much for the new outfits. If I knew we were leaving the exam only to walk into an ambush I would have saved the shopping for later, maybe after I got home or something.... though lets face it, if I shopped at home I would end up bringing my nephew and buying more things for him than myself. Never the less, time to get back to the fighting, lets just hope the outfit doesn't get completely destroyed before the end of this, I rather liked the design and I don't think we will be returning to Shibuya any time soon for us to get new ones, nor do I want to with that crazy mathematician running around." While Aislinn was talking to Stratos she was more talking to fill the silence as her eyes drifted over the heartless before them and she analyzed what she could do to help, what would be of the most use. Normally Aislinn went for the biggest and strongest first, but perhaps her worries should turn more to the numbers for now, see if she could thin those out a little bit. Spotting a mass of Neoshadows close by, Aislinn figured they would make a nice happy medium. "Well I guess it is time to jump back into the hordes and help the others with this mess." With that Aislinn took off, but not travelling too far from her partner. She figured in a battle like this it was ill advised to go off and do things completely on her own.

Dashing into the area she had noticed the Neoshadows, it wasn't long before more were starting to swarm up around her at least twelve stood tall in a circle, their jerking movements nearly in sync with each other as they stared her down. One went to jump, which only encouraged more to take after it's lead. Slashing at the one jumping from above, Aislinn managed to quickly dispatch it before another ran forward. Taking her foot she kicked it back into another causing them both to fall prone, with the moment free, she spun keeping her blade tucked close but in a defensive position as she blocked an attack from the back of her before she lashed out and stabbed at that one too. Her sides were left exposed meaning Aislinn had to move quickly, and not rely solely on the keyblade. Making use of her elbows, she would knock away heartless that were threatening her, until she had time to deal with them. Along the way she received a few scratches, but nothing as bad as when she had taken a hit to help Aux. At least these wounds were manageable. Slowly the numbers around her started to lessen to the point that she could take her time and slow down to deal with the last couple heartless remaining around her. A few more hacks and slashes and they were gone, except one that stood their staring Aislinn down with eyes that she could have sworn were full of sorrow as she notice the amount it was injured likely from her attacks when she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, or what she was attacking.

Kaida continued on with her extermination of the shadows. Though she was out of magic at this point and needed to recharge for a while. She started using splattercombo and just constantly raking up her shadow death count with random combos and knocking some heartless into the air in order to combo them there too. Soon enough, she felt a familiar shadow jump on on her shoulder and quickly jump off to attack some other shadows and she said, "Pipsqueak, you came back! I'm glad you're alright."

The shadow did not really respond to her, but that did not bother her in the slightest.
