The creature might have stood up, but the safety didn't last long as it turned and slammed it's fist into the ground, the energy from the force causing Aislinn to nearly loose balance as a pool of darkness formed around it's fist. Everything told her that she shouldn't go near that darkness, warned her against walking into a situation where the darkness could swallow her again, however her other option was to continue hitting at the ankles of the creature and hope that her minuscule amount of damage that she was dealing would eventually add up to be worth something. That wouldn't only be gambling with her life, prolong the fight to see how it turns out, but also the lives of those who were fighting the other heartless, trusting her and Aux to keep the giant monstrosities off of them while they cleared the waves of smaller heartless who could undoubtedly do great damage themselves if they grouped up. Even one of those Neoshadows could be a hazard if the weeping wound on her side was anything to go by. Sure she had been caught off guard by the thing, and was doing it to protect another, but it didn't mean that they should be taken lightly. Out of all the creatures that they had fought, only taking one decent swipe seemed like she was doing pretty well, but looking around and seeing all the others who were in better shape than she was, perhaps it wasn't quite the accomplishment she had thought it should be.

Still paranoid about the darkness that swirled, Aislinn cloaked herself in a magical essence that acted as a barrier, it was one of few abilities that she could use that seemed to have a sort of magic to it. She then launched herself at the outstretched hand that was creating this pool of darkness that the heartless seemed drawn to. Aislinn couldn't afford to worry about the little guys as she rushed into the arm. When she landed from the attack, Aislinn was surprised to find the ground beneath her feet was actually solid and wasn't sucking her into the realm of darkness, like the last encounter she had with something like this. Sighing a breath of relief she made the most of the time that it's hand was in reachable range for her to hit.

Just as the Darkside tried to pull his hand away, Aislinn used momentum from one of her strikes in order to jump up and land on it's hand. Careful to keep her balance she started to sprint up the arm while it was still horizontal enough to do so, before jumping off the arm at the face of the Darkside, raking her keyblade down it, on her way down. The keyblade stuck into the body of the creature, helped slow Aislinn's fall enough that it was not dangerous to her when descending. That being said she had not thought of how it would feel holding onto a keyblade above her head as it slowly dragged down towards the ground, pulling at her side. As well with the slower falling it was not enough damage from stopping the darkside from attacking her. Swiping a hand towards its chest, Aislinn was forced to let go of her keyblade, kicking off the body of the heartless to get out of the way of the attack. By that point she was low enough to the ground, landing wasn't a problem, but when she did land she had to summon her keyblade back to her. She was thankful for that ability with the keyblade or else she would have lost her weapon to the body of the massive creature barring down on her.

Luna watched as Kel defend from the heartless thay were trying to harm her. As their number dwindled, she let out a sigh of relief when the last shadow had been taken out. She looked over to Kel and spoke. "I'm sorry I wasn't much help. Thank you for protecting me the heartless. I wonder why they were so persistent on getting me....Odd." Before Luna could ponder any further, more heartless appeared and it looked as if there were even more than there was before. Her eyes widened at just how many heartless had arrived now. "Even more.....Artemis...Apollo help us and guide us to victory...." She grabbed her keyblade once again. Before she could make any movement, a darkball had been carrying Hikaru over to where they were. He defeated the darkball before turning to the two. "Hey guys." She looked at Hikaru before speaking. "Are you alright?" She asked, with concern filling her tone. Luna looked up and saw more darkballs coming their way. She pushed Hikaru and Kel out of the darkballs' way. "Watch out!"With the two out of harm's way, the group of heartless still made their way toward her. "Why are they still......." She still couldn't understand before one word crossed her mind. "Light......That's what it is....." She held her necklace and closed her eyes as she felt a light emerging from her once again. She opened her eyes and ran toward them. She jumped up and into the middle of the group and looked at each of them. The light continued growing brighter and brighter. the darkballs charged at her. "You want light? Then fine....you can have it!!" The darkballs piled around her and suddenly four pillars emerged and burst forth. Luna emerged from the group and sent the pillars flying in four directions killing the group of darkballs that had surrounded her. She landed back near the two. She took a moment to catch her breath before looking at the two. "Are you guys alright?" She smiled as she held out a hand toward the two. Her smile immediately fell as an Invisible had grabbed her by her foot. "No!!!!!!!" Before she knew it, she had been captured by the Invisible. "Let go of me!!" She struggled against the heartless as she shouted. She tried kicking it before the invisible grabbed her other foot. "Let go!!" Luna continued to struggle against the Invisible in hopes she would be freed.

The more challenging Aislinn was becoming, the more help Aux wanted to be. Ever since he arrived, he always felt like a hindrance, but upon arrival and being more honest with everyone, he had slowly realized the idea that he could maybe be a part of this group. Aux wasn't much for the competitive spirit, but the least he could do was do what the woman said and 'keep up.' He watched it's arm as it's fingers were about the size of Aux's legs. A monster that size definately had a large health bar to it. The very thought of the amount of work it would take to destroy the darkside caused him to let out a sigh. Looking up at the darkside, he thought the best place to attack it would be to start with the legs. He figured that like with any strong opponent, the legs were probably one of it's weaker points and doing enough damage to them might actually cause the heartless to collapse. A tactic like that would be enough to give an ample opportunity to allow an opening to attack it's arms or even it's torso. With enough leverage and range they might even be able to go for the head. With this in mind, Aux's attention narrowed back to the legs, taking his keyblade and running in for a nice powerful charge. One foot after the other, he dashed at the opportunity to do some quick damage to the foe from below the belt. The legs were thin, but he could feel the solid amount of impact that his blade had upon hitting the leg. He sneered as he tried his hand at dealing a few more slashes before quickly backing up a few feet. He looked back up to see if the monster would reply with any sort of counter measure, but it was as if it barely felt his attack. The monster was very absent minded and slow moving. He would dare say it moved slower than himself.

Watching carefully at Asilinn's attempt, he saw that the darkside at least had a few counters up it's sleaves. Enough to deal with crowd control and even shove up any opponents that were smaller then it. Basically anyone that was human sized. She too had began to slash at the legs, trying to do her best to weaken the heartless. Both of them together could do a formidable amount of damage, but that wouldn't mean anything if they weren't doing the damage in the right place. The heartless had just taken a direct Zantetsuken and it barely managed to take as much damage as when he did his combo. Choosing to try a different tactic he looked to Aislinn and then back at the heartless. He quickly ran a few more meters away at the heartless before looking up at it. The expression on the face of the heartless was still as blank and unmoving as ever. He couldn't even see a mouth under all that scarved darkness. Looking back down to Aislinn, he thought of a tactic that might work. "Hey!" he cried out to get her attention. "Try going for it's eyes!" He folded his fingers together and placed them near his belt, both palms open. His hands were formed in a position to help prop her up into the air to see if she could do some higher damage. That, or at least help knock it down closer to their level. "I'll give you a boost!" he cried out. He stood, waiting to see what Aislinn would think of the idea.

As the boy had managed to fell the heartless with his Zantetsuken, it had barely made much of any kind of dent in their numbers. Thinking it was time to change things up yet again, the boy took a deep breath, trying to focus on another power that had since been out of his reach. A power that was locked behind that of the blade, and that before he had become a master would have seemed impossible to achieve. However, now that he had a clearer mind for it, he focused on how to emulate the power. As he did, a green and red lightning began to surge around him, as his heart pulsed with a similar color. Being entirely enveloped in it, the boy's outfit changed once again. This time, rather than a blade, an emblem of a fist was emblazoned across the back of his jacket. The Jacket itself went from a black color to one of a green one and seemed completely zipped up rather than the usual open style he kept it. His pants had shifted to become gray sweats. Most shockingly, though, the boy didn't seem to have a keyblade, instead black cestus on both of his hands, with red trimmings on them and an emerald gem on the center of the back of hand. Remembering how both Karina and Glen had used this all that time ago, the let out one last deep breath, punching his hands together to signify the shift to the monk state of power was complete. As he did, he suddenly felt far more healthy than normal, like just being in the form had increased his overall stamina.

The main problem with the form now, however, was that Stratos was barely a sword fighter to begin with. Never had he actually fought bare handed. Yet, despite this, he didn't feel hesitant about it, and instead gestured for the heartless to attack him, saying, "come." As he provoked the heartless, a Neo Shadow had leaped at him, claws at the ready. The boy dodged to the left first, moving away from a slash before clenching his fists and letting out a left hook towards the shadow. As the punch connected, the neo shadow was clearly staggered, only for the boy to follow up with a second punch to its face. As he had destroyed the heartless, he looked to see that two more neo shadows were charging at him. Taking in a deep breath, the boy's movements began to shift. His leg went ablaze as he kicked towards the sternum of one of the neo shadows, followed by a wind powered uppercut. As that destroyed the neo shadow, he then looked to the other one which he proceeded to kick with an earth imbued foot, followed by a water imbued punch. As the attacks had finished, both of the neo shadows were destoryed under the power of the Four Seasons.

Taking in another deep breath, the boy looked at his hands and said, "yeah, I could get used to this." Seeing the next set of shadows move towards him, the boy punched one out of the air, followed by kicking the second. As he destroyed them, he saw the others jump at him, claws at the ready and the boy was already locked into his attacks. However, with almost unnatural reflexes, the boy's arms instantly went into a guard, blocking the attack entirely. As he did, he let out yet another flurry of blows at the creatures, destroying each of them in a single punch. Reinorienting himself, the boy looked to the other heartless near him, and got ready to strike at them.

Kaida got herself far too excited when she was done with the first wave. But once Hikaru cheered about it she looked over at him and mumbled, "No don't jinx it don't jinx it don't-"

But by that point it was far too late. And the next horde began. Unfortunately for Kaida, she seemed to stand perfectly in the middle of the spawning point of two thousand shadows and she gulped. Her shadow friend held up their hands in a scratching motion and the girl took a deep breath in and out trying to calm herself as she tried not to curse Hikaru's name for this under her breath.

Kaida ran through the horde, dodging as much as she could possibly muster before getting to a large sandbar and running across it as she was chased by the horde. Her shadow friend followed her with no problems, though it absorbed itself into the ground and kept reappearing at intervals in order to keep up. Some of the horde began adapting this tactic as well but because of the head start the other one was leaps and bounds ahead. Kaida eventually ran to a point that was the edge of the island and she lost balance a minute as she tried to grab herself back on the ledge. She slipped a bit but forced herself to put all of her weight upwards so she landed with her face and torso in the sand and her legs dangling off the edge. She grunted and looked up to see the shadows rushing at her.

She looked up just in time to see Hikaru go flying and she could not help but let out a laugh in this situation before she focused on the problem. Kaida summoned out one keyblade and pointed it straight towards a line of shadows as they approached her. Closing her right eye to take aim before getting a perfect line. She stretched to get her foot flat against the surface of the rock, and with incredible speed and electricity, the girl charged forward with powerline.

As the first shadows dissolved she was back in the horde and she spun around her keyblade and summoned her second one. The shadows swayed to come at her again and she closed her eyes to take another calming breath before Kaida let out a scream. It probably seemed unnecessary but it was just what she needed to let loose a lot of energy. It even made the shadows back up a bit in confusion.

She held her keyblades out to provoke them, before one shadow attempted to jump out at her from behind. She turned to hit it back, and two more leaped towards her as she turned. She flipped her hands around and slashed them without looking at them. The blonde kept her eyes closed as more heartless attempted a turn at her. Jumping into her not at once, but like each individual shadow was up for its own challenge. When she'd defeated 12 of them. Some of them began to try and push her back towards the cliff, like being able to knock her out. Kaida tried to find herself a more suitable hiding space and her eyes caught a rock a little ways north of her path. Kaida pointed at them shouting, "Firaga!" and burning a pathway towards the rock. When she was up there, happy to have a high ground again. She was sweating and scared as a thousand heartless were trying to climb up towards her.

She looked around the sea to see how others were dealing, but she was more than a little tilted.

Moving through the horde, the boy got in a guarded stance as yet another Neo Shadow leaped at him. As the Neo Shadow had charged him, the boy stepped backward, immediately evading the first of the attacks from it. However, this way not enough as the Neo Shadow began to spin around, rushing into him and striking into unguarded self. The wind being knocked out of him, as the neo shadow's foot knocked into him, the boy skidded backward. Putting up his hands again, the heartless moved towards him with its claws, raking them over his arm causing a large cut to form across it. Wincing in pain, the Stratos looked for an opening against the heartless he was fighting, though the creature was moving much faster than usual and was unrelenting in its pressure. Trying to evade the attacks, the boy kept moving side to side, the boy's hand charged with fire. Punching forward, the boy struck the heartless's claw, using the fire strike attack and destroying the claw entirely. Moving in closer to the creature, he then slid into it with his fist striking dead on into the creature's gut. As he forced the creature back, he then delivered one powerful roundhouse kick to the Neo Shadow's head, causing it to lurch to the side before being destroyed under the damage it had taken.

Catching his breath, Stratos was a bit taken aback by the suddenness by which he was attacked by the creature. The boy felt a bit weird, having just used skills that he knew how to with the keyblade with his bare hands. It wasn't so much that it was odd that he could do it, but it was more so that he knew how to to begin with. In fact, thinking back to the other monks he had scene, they hadn't used the power of the Four Seasons either, yet he knew how to almost instinctively. While he was thinking about this, though, his thoughts were interuptted as a black angel like heartless descended onto him. With the heartless bringing down its sword, Stratos backed away from the creature, causing the heartless to plunge its blade into the ground. Pulling it back up, the boy looked on guard against the powerful heartless, having his hands up ready to fight it. Taking a deep breath, Stratos began to focus on the opponent before him, before back stepping away from the heartless as it slashed its sword towards him. The angelic heartless continued to put on the pressure towards Stratos, trying to cut into him, put the boy proving to be a bit too evasive for it. This, however, was stopped as a dark ball had appeared behind him, mouth open. Stopping to not be bit by the creature, Stratos stuck his hound out shouting, "Firaga!" as he launched a ball of flame into the creatures mouth, destroying it.

This pause allowed the angelic heartless to bring it sword down, cutting clean across his torso and causing the boy to cry out a bit in pain. Feeling the pain rush through him, the boy grimaced, bringing his hands up to guard against a follow up strike from the heartless. While he was absorbed most the damage in the hit, he was still knocked back by it, only for the heartless to dive towards him. Though it was fast, Stratos was not about to lose to this creature yet, and instead charged himself with yellow lightning. With the speed of his hunter's limit allowing him to catch the creature off guard, Stratos managed to instantly close the distance between him and his charging foe and with one powerful punch, managed to take the heartless out entirely.

Luna was just as confused as he was when it came to the strange attention that she was getting from the heartless. Understandably so given how she essentially had a target on her for the duration of those last couple of heartless. He would say that it wouldn't be too much of a problem right now, but that Invisible form before left its taunting of himself to specifically go deal with Luna. It would be a problem if she continued to attract heartless of that size towards them. "Don't mention it, we are friends after all." And friend would be there to have each others back, something that he was finally starting to truly accept. Speaking of friends, they were soon joined by Hikaru who had literally dropped in on them. "That was quite the entrance." Kel said, unaware of the remaining darkballls that were flying right at the group. Thankfully Luna had pushed both himself and Hikaru out of the way before ant of the could get the drop on them. It was appreciated, but now he'd spotted the new horded of heartless that had just arrived and surprise, surprise, the first one that stopped right in from of Kel was another Neoshadow. To say that he was tired of dealing with them would be an understatement, but he had little choice. His keyblade formed in a flash and he had started to fight the neoshadow in front of him. Unlike the last batch that he'd spent fighitng, this one didn't try to do anything to the stray shadows that roam about on the battle field and seemed to want to fight him using its own strength. As odd as it seemed, that was something that Kel could appreciate for it meant he wouldn't have to worry about it suddenly hulking out before him. Kel still showed no mercy and brought his keyblade down on the heartless's head, cutting it in down. As it dissipated in black mist, four pillars of light had shot up into the sky and Kel found the source to be Luna once again. Her attack had done well to remove the darkballs that were around her, but the same very moment, Kel was reminded of the last time he saw her do that when an Invisible had gone completely out its way to attack her. This time the Invisible had done better as it had successfully grabbed her.

The heartless around them had to have been anticipating his first step because a darkball with a little shadow riding atop its head had flown directly in front of him. The shadow struck first with its claws outstretched and was swiftly swatted it to the side. The darkball on the other hand was more on the persistent side with its attacks and spent a bit flying around Kel, narrowly avoiding all of his attack that he threw at the heartless. When the heartless thought it say its chance to strike, it opened it mouth and prepared to strike. That proved to be a fatal mistake for Kel was able to dodge the attack and launch a counter attack of his own. "Thunder!" Sparks flew out of the tip of his keyblade, vaporizing the darkball. Now there was nothing keeping him from going after the Invisible that currently held Luna, who he was glad wasn't wearing a skirt at this time. The invisible was more preoccupied with examining its catch to notice that Kel was making his approach. The element of surprise was on his side for the time being so he had to act fast before he lost that very same advantage. One of his two keyblades was thrown it to distract it from Luna and once that had been achieved, Kel himself took to the skies and delivered a powerful Zantesuken to bring it to a quick end. Kel caught Luna when she inevitably fell down from. "And gotcha." Once his own footing was secured, he placed down Luna right in front of him.

As the blonde settled down a bit more, she began to consider possibilities to get further out of the jam she had placed herself in. She knew full well that the best way to go about this was to get more inland. But with the way these heartless were, she was genuinely concerned she would fall into the group and be knocked out before she could say "oops". So as her eyes scanned the area for potential escapes, her eyes fell onto a group of darkballs floating away towards other potential victims and she raised an eyebrow as an idea came to her.

Kaida looked down as she grabbed pipsqueak and held it up and it got angry at the way it grabbed her. She held it a good length away from her while it tried to slash and grab her. Perhaps she was so used to pipsqueak jumping up without a problem but she did not truly realize just how large these shadows were until she was trying to hold one and keep it at arms length away so it would not hurt her. The girl took aim and backed slightly further into the rock so she could drop the shadow and she launched the shadow in the distance towards the darkball.

The shadow panicked, covering its eyes before it realized it was moving at a surprising pace, and the shadow tried flapping its arms as if it could fly. It almost seemed happy, heartwarming a moment, before it slammed into the darkball. The darkball panicked and tried to figure out the source while pipsqueak held onto the antennae for dear life. The darkball turned to look at Kaida who began taunting at it, and a group began to float on towards her, one after the other.

Kaida held her fist towards her chest, giving a soft confirmation to herself this would work before she leaped as high as she could into the air. She began an aerial combo like no other. She slashed the first darkball and pipsqueak quickly jumped onto her hood and clung onto her while she destroyed each darkball along the way. It was almost fun, like a good practice to keep up her aerial combos as smoothly as possible.

The blonde soon realized she was high off the ground. A little too high off the ground for her to feel as though she would land safely. Not that she necessarily accounted for fall damage before but she still did not want to feel the sting on her ankles. Below her, she saw Stratos managing to keep up the good fight, getting himself hit far back before charging in with the hunter limit. It was cool, she kind of wished she used it more often. But a tiny shadow was trying to sneak in behind him after the attack from the creature.

Kaida didn't exactly have aerial slam, which would have been pretty cool right now, so she was gonna have to improvise a little more than she expected. With the final darkball in her path she used an aerial finisher and used the last of her energy from it to fall from the sky and straight into the tiny shadow behind Stratos. A lot of sand suddenly wooshed up into the air and Kaida began coughing. When it cleared she smiled and said, "Hey, sorry for dropping in so suddenly without notice... I had a bit of a complication with... a thousand shadows and the edge of the... world... or island."

Pipsqueak fell out of her hood a little shaken as well as Kaida stood up to reorient herself.

With the first of the dark angel like heartless having been felled, Stratos was given a bit of a reprieve to catch his breath. As he did so he started to think of what the heartless were like here. The last time he had fought the neo shadows, in the first wave, they were only difficult to face due to his sheer unfamiliarity with them. However, this time they seemed to be far more ferocious in nature, and not only were they more aggressive but he had felt as though they were faster and stronger as well. They were able to continually exert great pressure, greater then what he had experienced not a few moments ago, and he wondered what was going on here. And though he had only managed to fight one of the dark angel heartless in the last encounter, these too seemed stronger as well. Trying to figure out what was going on here, the boy looked over to Aislinn and Aux fighting the gigantic humanoid heartless. As he did, a thought crossed. Darkness was something that could grow from small quantities and the larger it grew the stronger and more unmanageable it became. So, with the raw quantity and quality increase in the heartless here, he wondered if the presence of the heartless themselves was causing the heartless to become stronger. The boy wondered how accurate this line of thinking was, but was swiftly cut off as another dark angel heartless came down to attack him.

Dodging away from the attack first, Stratos did not want to deal with another one of these things so quickly after the last, especially with the damage he had taken so far. He needed to get his wounds healed, though, he hardly expected the heartless to give him the breathing room to actually cure himself. Then, he thought back to Shibuya. He thought back to when he had become a master and both the power he had been given by Megumi and the aura he had obtained as a master. Focusing on that, the boy was able to hear his own heart beating, as he realized it was calling to the realm around him, trying to use its power. Taking a deep breath, wisps of darkness started to appeared around Stratos until it errupted into a full blown aura. With the darkness around him, Stratos looked at the heartless coming towards him. He knew that in order to stand on equal footing to things, he needed to copy from the strong. And when it came to darkness, there was only one creature he knew to be the strongest.

As the invisible dove at him, the boy dodged to the side, and reached his hand out towards the creature. Grabbing onto its face, a black aura appeared on his hand as dark elemental magic began to be pumped through it as he simply said, "drain." The heartless tried to pull the boy's arm off, however, the longer it stayed on the weaker the heartless's resistance seemed to be. The dark body of the heartless was slowly broken down, being absorbed into the boy's hand and that darkness travel through his body. As it did, the darkness seemed to mend the boy's wounds, until he seemed fully restored. As he was, he looked at his hand, noticing the heartless was no longer there having been fully absorbed into him. "Well, that works." Feeling fully invigorated now the boy looked over to the other heartless around him. Seeing a few dark balls floating towards him, with energy back at full the boy merely punched the ground shouting, "thundara!" With that, lightning fell from the sky, striking the dark balls down and felling them all instantly. As looked around for the next heartless, he heard a sudden thud behind him, causing him to jump back. On guard, he looked over and said, "oh, Kaida. Hi." He didn't quite think about how what he did looked like to others, but she didn't seem to say anything about it so he instead looked over to the shadows she had been dealing with. "Oh, yeah, that's a really big problem. Meanwhile, I've been busy dealing with their larger brothers and uh...heartless that know how to use swords...I'm about as surprised as you are on that."

Kaida had not noticed Stratos' drain escapade. If she had, she probably would have reacted with a lot more vigor and quite a bit of awkward distrust. Since she had not, since she had been in a long air combo dealing with darkballs, she only had seem him in brief glimpses. Though she darkness aura was definitely a new one. She clicked her tongue a bit as she processed it, but having a bit of darkness around someone at this rate was not enough for her to freak out or anything.

When he mentioned the heartless with swords, and how she would be as surprised as him with that, she turned to look around at other heartless and asked, "So what you're saying is, you aren't surprised then? Cause a heartless with a sword? That doesn't surprise me. Now, a heartless with a keyblade, THAT would surprise me." she paused and looked at him straight away saying, "Oh no they can't use keyblades can then?"

Kaida asked this just in time for an invisible to begin running her way and swinging her sword at her. She moved to go and block it but the force was a lot stronger than she anticipated and the blonde went upward into the air a bit and fell back to the ground and said, "Ooooh. It's a mean one. But it's better than a bunch of munchkins. Alright. Let's dance."

The blonde waited for the invisible to make it's swing again and she quickly maneuvered into a dodge roll. While off balance from it's swing the blonde began to hack and slash as much as she could before she was forced to back away. She kept her keyblades outward as she paced around waiting for another opening and as it went to lunge in again, she went for a second time. But this time the invisible phoned a friend and a neoshadow came swooping in from the side and staggered her a minute. But it moved her just out of the way from the invisible where it's slash did not affect her.

She took a deep breath, now focusing on the opponents as a darkball seemed to also be floating down towards the other side of her, ready to jump in when she was off balance. This was going to be a matter of timing now. She watched the invisible lunge again, the neoshadow moving in ready to strike slightly before the invisible moved. And the darkball moving towards the place Kaida would stagger into so it could push her back.

Kaida decided to deal with the adds first, slamming one keyblade into the ground and the other one up as she said in a calm voice, "Stopga."

The opponents froze and her aura began to activate as she seemed to have small after effects show up in her place. She kept the one keyblade in the ground and ran towards the others as she slashed the neoshadow once, then the invisible twice, and the darkball once. She landed towards the center she tapped her keyblade gently. Seeker mine placed around her keyblade and she rolled out of the way and pointed her keyblade towards the group and snapped her fingers.

As time unfroze, mine seeker activated and the heartless exploded in a large kaboom. Without even knowing it, she got herself another shadow in the mixup. The only one remaining at this point was the invisible. Who was definitely barely hanging onto whatever it had left and was ready to strike at her again. Kaida walked over to pick up her keyblade and provoked for it to attack her. The invisible charged itself and she dodged and hit it with the butt of one of her keyblades as it disappeared.

Stratos chuckled a bit as the girl mentioned her lack of surprise about the dark angelic heartless. As she asked if they could use keyblades, the boy was about to say something, but the two of them were interrupted by a pair of the very same heartless they were talking about. Both of them seeing the attacks coming, just as Kaida had, Stratos held up his arms to guard against the attack, being forced away by overall strength the heartless had in its blade. Wincing in pain, as he skid across the ground from the attack, he looked back towards the dark angel heartless, it looking back to him. Raising up its sword, it then pointed it towards Stratos, as if challenging him before twirling the blade in its hand and gripping the sword with both of its hands. Spreading both of its wings out, the creature dove at Stratos, poised to strike him down. As it approached Stratos, the boy ducked under the horizontal swing of the heartless, springing back up to uppercut it. While his attack was successful, the creature's head lurching up, it's knee was now close to Stratos's gut and decided to make him very aware of that.

As the knee struck into him, Stratos had the wind knocked out of him again, being forced back away from the invisible. Stumbling back, recovering from the attack, the boy held up his arms again in a guard against the creature. As the invisible charged its blade with black flame, the magic exploded against Stratos's guard causing him to grimace in pain once again. However, as he was not pushed back, he was now in optimal striking range against the heartless. With his dark aura flaring up, the boy focused on his next attacks, letting loose a flurry of attacks, repeatedly punching one after the other against the creature. With his powered up Splattercombo, he managed to knock the invisible backward, and open for a counter attack. Unleashing the power of the Four Seasons against the creature, Stratos first let loose a palm thrust against it of flame, followed by a punch imbued with earth. His arms being imbued with water and wind respectively, the boy then punched with both hands at once into the heartless's gut, destroying it as the attack finished.

As he did, a stray shadow jumped at him, trying to stop him only for the boy to let loose a round house kick towards it, instantly killing the heartless. With that done, the boy looked over to see Kaida continuing her fight against the invisible that had initially attacked her. While it seemed that the fight had escalated, now a few more strong looking heartless entering the fray, the boy felt the need to step in and help her, but that was quickly ended as she seemed to have things under control. Watching as time seemed to stop around her, an aura enveloped her as well, causing whatever effect her stopga seemed to have be even greater than normal. As she finished off the heartless, Stratos let out an impressed whistle, saying, "nice moves you got there Kaida." As he said this, three more dark balls seemed to teleport next to him, ready to bite down on him. Dodge rolling underneath them, they only ended up chomping at air. Looking at the three, a thought crossed his mind as the dark aura around him dissipated. Suddenly it was replaced by a different purple aura, one that seemed to cause the air around him to grow heavier just by existing. Clapping hands together he shouted, "graviga!" causing the dark balls to be pulled in and smash together, destroyed under the intense gravitational force. With that done, he looked back to Kaida, smile on his face saying, "so I take it that's one of the auras you got?"

Kaida could feel the gravity in the area feel stronger and it made her look in the direction of Stratos just as he was finishing up. When he asked about the aura she said, "Yeah, I got... time I think. It seemed flashy. I liked it. Though I wasn't expecting a cosmetic effect." Kaida admitted, scratching the back of her head. The girl looked around and some of the shadows heading back in their direction and she said, "I'm gonna get a few more of the littles. I might be back later. Keep it up." and she saluted a bit before she took off.

Kaida was only a little bit away but she just decided to get it over with fairly quickly and she began using Red Slash to do a colorful combination of... gravity and fire. It was a bit strange but it looked cool as the heartless began to float up into the air while on fire before disappearing with a poof. Kaida knocked out several more around the general area but made a point to not jump into the swarm again. She was not planning on it unless she had a team of people with her so she knew she would not be overtaken. Or at least healed.

As Kaida explained to Stratos that the aura she picked was time, the boy chuckled a bit at the fact that the one he was currently using was its exact opposite. He was also slightly jealous that of the after image effects provided by the time aura, with instead his own aura being not much in way of visual flair. Though, both of the ones he had used so far certainly gave him a different than normal feeling. The darkness one was unsettling, to say the least, making him feel like there was something constantly clawing at him from within, trying to link to the world around him and absorb it. While Stratos himself wasn't exactly fond of this sensation, based on the power he had used against the invisible heartless earlier, he could see where people might easily start walking down the wrong path and be consumed by it. This very thought filled the boy with a resolution to keep himself under careful watch, albeit by himself, whenever he had decided to use its power. His other aura, however, made him feel odd for an entirely different reason. Though the space aura had made the air, and likely gravity, around him heavier, he himself didn't feel all that affected it. It was an odd feeling to know that something was heavier, but not feel that it was. All the same, it seemed to be quite useful for the purpose of dealing with these heartless and he wasn't complaining at all about it right now.

As Kaida gave him a salute, telling the boy she was going back to dealing the supermassive wave of shadows, the boy gave her a salute in kind. "While you're doing that, I'll be busy dealing with their bigger counterparts. Can't leave any one of these heartless unchecked after all, and I'm sure us dealing with these swarms is helpful enough for those two over there," he pointed to Aux and Aislinn, "to finish up their job." As the girl ran off he said, "keep up the good work yourself." With that done, the boy turned to see what was next on the hit list of heartless. Cracking his knuckles, he looked around to see a few neo shadows starting to gather up, and figured they'd be a good test drive to see just how his new aura functioned in full. After all, he never considered Ignis a full on mage, and neither did she towards herself for that matter, yet when she was enveloped in the thunder aura that seemed to stop being the case. As Stratos wasn't all too familiar with the power of the space element, he figured the heartless before him would be a good way to start to learn.

As the first Neo shadow leaped at him, reached out his hand to parry. As the claw was slapped away by the boy's hand, he channeled the power of his space magic into it, causing the creature to become lighter and float into the air. With another coming at him, he proceeded to do the same thing as before, only this time increase the gravity. The claw of the Neo Shadow fell towards the ground, and the second heartless was now stuck in position, trying to lift its own claw up. As the other three came at him, he merely said, "graviga," and stopped on the ground, a wave a of magic rippling out from him. The Neo Shadows were lifted into the air as the magic passed through them, floating harmlessly around. Concentrating on the spell that was on them, he managed to focus the gravity on them even harder, forcing the neo shadows into one large mass of darkness. As they all seemed now bound together by the magical force, the boy lifted up his hand, generating lightning from it. "Thunder bell!" With a large orb of lightning being fired from his hand, it struck the clump of neoshadows, destroying them all instantly.

"Yeah, I'm... just a dittle lizzy," He replied to Luna, slurring his words slightly as he staggered back and forth. Hikaru had to blink a few time to readjust his vision, while the now defeated darkball heartless took a large portion of the blow, Hikaru was still a bit dazed from the impact. Getting up he was immediately pushed aside by the valiant Luna. As he fell back a few feet he saw as more and more heartless were slowly attracting themselves towards her. Granted they all had keyblades, but Kel and Hikaru seemed like small snack in the eyes of the heartless, while Luna's heart looked like a light-filled all you can eat buffet. In the chaos, Luna managed to release a powerful faith spell, only to be caught up by an invisible. Before Hikaru could even step in, Kel had defused the situation and managed to keep Luna in the clear. It was times like these that Hikaru was thankful the allies and friends he had made were strong enough to support each other. When he began this journey, he thought he would have to shoulder everything alone. Dealing with Aux, defeating the heartless; it all felt like so much to him. Now, after friends had came and went he still had a small band with him. Kel and Luna were the two he had known the longest and he had watched them evolve from lower levels into powerful masters.

Rushing to Luna's aid, he held up his keyblade over her head and cast a quick cure spell to heal her injuries. "There you go!" a small beam of light flowered over her head as her minor injuries were rapidly healed by his curaga spell. Before he could even ask if she was okay, a large swarm of small shadow heartless made their way into his general vicinity. Taking a few steps back, Hikaru wasn't going to let the heartless overtake him or his friends. Everyone else was showing such an instinct to attack and defend. Hikaru had that mentality before it was broken by the overwhelming numbers that Colonel Hughes kept supplying in heartless. Taking his keyblade, he slashed away at the heartless in front of him, sweeping along the ground as the shadow heartless had either been dispersed on sight or knocked back. He saw more heartless jumping overhead, causing his to swat his keyblade over his face, watching as the twitching jumping creatures were smacked right out of his way. The amount of combo damage he dealt varied as he continued to hack and slash away. To his surprise, many of them weren't shadow sneaking into the ground this time around. They most hurdled around him and paced until they found an ample opportunity to strike. To make sure they wouldn't catch him off guard, Hikaru would instinctively turn ninety degrees every couple of seconds or so to make sure they wouldn't catch him unprepared for their assault. Performing a powerful spinning attack, he leapt into the air and slashed at every direction before jumping down, watching as the heartless he had defeated, fell to the ground in dark purple puffs of smoke. He kept his stance firm as he raised his keyblade in front of his face. His face stayed more determined and rapidly looked to the left and right to see if they would jump out of the ground again. "Just how many of these things does he plan to bring out?" He turned his head to ask Kel and Luna what they thought as he watched their six. The thought of how many heartless he could summon began to haunt him.

With his gravity aura still active, Stratos wished to see how else he could push the limits of his new found space powers against these heartless. As he focused more on the sensation that it gave him, he was able to feel more then just the weight that was given by it. Sure, the air had felt heavier then before, but there was more to it. It was as if he could feel not just the air itself, but the very concept of weight itself felt like it was within his senses. It was a strange sensation to say the least, yet, he figured he could use this to help understand his space magic more. As he walked around, looking for another heartless test this understanding on, he was greeted with the sight of a few more neo shadows, their bodies coming out of the ground as the heartless looked at him with their beady golden eyes. Curiously at first, they bobbed and titled their head around, before opening their claws to begin their onslaught against him. Putting up his fists, the boy got into a defensive stance, ready for whatever the feral large shadow type heartless were going to throw at him.

The first of the neo shadows moved fast towards him. Rather than lunging at them, as they were wont to do, this neo shadow ran across the ground towards him. As it did, two more dove into the ground, becoming a part of the ground itself as they scurried to either side towards him. The last two, behind the first, merely seemed to stand there, looking as if they were waiting for something to happen. As the first of the neo shadows had finally closed to the distance, it opened up with a slash from its claw, prompting the boy to evade underneath it, followed by a follow up swing of its other claw going in an upper cut motion with a swift jabbing motion against the heartless, in spite of the speed by which he struck the heartless there was a certain weight behind it. The impact of his fist felt far greater than normally, as if it suddenly weighed considerably more and thus was able to strike harder as a result. Driving his gravity imbued fist into the neo shadow's gut, he moved his arm up in an uppercut motion, forcing the neo shadow off its feat and into the air. As it was falling back down to the ground, the heartless seemed to have taken a considerable amount of damage, being destroyed in the process.

After his heavy punch, the two neo shadow's that were in the ground popped out, closing in on either side of Stratos, there was barely any room to move around, and thus he couldn't quite dodge them. And so, merely stomping onto the ground he said, "graviga," letting loose a pulse of space magic from his stomp. The neo shadow's attack swung wide as they began to float into the air, their gravity inverted by Stratos's magic as he ducked underneath their now higher swings. Jumping into the air, the boy grabbed both of them, and switched the gravity around them to become super heavy, smashing the two against each other and destroying them. The two that were left, started spinning towards the boy, prompting him to clap his hands together. A strong force of gravity pulled the two neo shadows towards each other, forcing them into each other destroying them as well. With all that done, a single shadow attempted to ambush Stratos from behind, but seeing it coming, merely stomped at it and destroyed it instantly.

Hikaru watched as more shadow heartless began to rise in front of him. Their bright eyes illuminated the atmosphere of darkness that was laid before them.Holding his keyblade aloft, he looked onwards to the swarm of shadow heartless. Whenever they appeared, it was always in a pack of roughly two dozen or so. They twitched back and forth as they began to scurry forward, half of them shadow sneaking from the ground as they prepared their oncoming attack. Hoping to try and deter their efforts while saving some of his own stamina, Hikaru helt his keyblade over his head. Pointing straight to the sky, he cast a large circular wind barrier over himself with an Aerora spell. "Wind!" he yelled, watching as the cutting wind spell moved smoothly with a sleek intensity around himself. As some of the shadow heartless approached, they immediately did one of their simple signature maneuvers and jumped at Hikaru from above. The wind barrier Aerora spell did it's magic and caused the heartless to be parried away from Hikaru once they hit the barrier. The barrier was strong but wouldn't last forever, prompting Hikaru to jump into action. Taking his keyblade, he lunged at a small group of shadows, before knocking one of them into the air. Managing to knock a couple with the shadow he knocked upward, he performed an aerial combo that managed to cover a large amount of range with his keyblade. A few small grunts and precision slashes later, the shadows he had knocked into the air had all vanished from his attack. Landing back to the ground, he whipped his keyblade to the side as he dashed forward for another assault.

Taking his keyblade, he slashed horizontal at the grounded heartless, remaining low as to damage as many of them as he could. He whipped his blade back and forth, using both hands when he wanted to perform more of his intense combo finishers. The shadow heartless that were in shadow sneak mode eventually came to the ground and returned to their original form. Trying to rush him from behind, the heartless jumped forward, trying to scratch at Hikaru's shins from behind. These attacks were of no use to them as Hikaru's defensive barrier was keeping them at bay from doing any damage and keeping him in control. "Not this time!" he called out, swinging his keyblade behind to try and get rid of the little pests. Turning around, he swung his keyblade along the ground and performed a flurry of quick stabs and slashes to disperse them from his personal space. Once he had helped get rid of the meddlesome shadows that were attacking him from behind, he returned to his defensive stance, looking around to see if there were any more shadows in their most recent assault. Breathing in deeply through his nose and outward from his mouth his eyes shifted back and forth, staying on his toes for when the next group attacked him. While there was a silent moment of Hikaru focused, Bambi pranced around him, dropping several MP bubble orbs which Hikaru absorbed to replenish his Magic power. While it was kind of the deer to do for him, it definitely ruined the intense battle scenario that he and the rest of his group were currently facing. He simply sighed and said; "Thanks," as the deer pranced away without a care in the world. Returning to his battle stance, Hikaru held up his keyblade and rolled back his shoulders as he kept Luna and Kel guarded from the rear. The least he could do is make sure they were well covered both offensively and through supportive action.

He was still fighting off by himself. He had to keep going. Wave after wave he stood there fighting with the palm tree still to his back. It looked like the waves of darkball heartless would never stop coming. The waves of heartless slowly at first got smaller then it got progressively faster until there was a few left. He just keep on fighting taking on the few darkball heartless that was left. Soon all seemed to clear out and soon he could finally go join the others. He could take a break. He was about to head out and join the other when he looked over to the commanding officer and he was still was fighting who ever had decided to help them. He was still unsure if this person was on there side or not but he was not going to complain about the help right now. Uniform was parrying with the unknown person with powerful assaults with his metalic arm, the unknown person grinning at keeping him occupied. He could now spot Hikaru now and could hear him shout, 'Hah! Is that all you got?!' Why just why did he have to say anything? The second Hikaru finished his question, the heartless that appeared on the field were virtually double the number that appeared last time. In front of them was a horde of two thousand shadows accompanied by 450 darkballs, 450 Neoshadows, 30 Invisibles, and two whole darksides. Some appearing right infrount of him blocking his path once again from joining the others. Of couse it could not be easy, when was it ever easy? In fact the only time it had been easy had been when it practically solod two parts of the mark pf mastery.

Why oh why did Hikaru have to say anything? It did not matter the battle was on once again. He let out a sigh and took more of a grip on his weapon. He could still see some of the others and he spotted from across the field, Aux's neck quickly turned to Hikaru as he yelled loudly and in annoyed and frightened tone. Then Aux said, 'You thought something good happened. When has anything ever went well for this group?!' "Maybe if we live long enough to we might be lucky enough to see something good happen." He was not holding out hope tho. Soon the heartless came in closer and completly blocked him off from the others and he could no longer see any of them. With a new wave of heartless being summoned to the field, he was getting more and more tired he would just have to press on. The heartless did not seem to keen on waiting for him and looked like they were ready to fight ant a moments notice. Sence there was more this time then last he wondered how he was going to live though this wave. He was still surprised that he had lived through the first. Even if it did not take too long to attack he was sure it would be harder then the fist wave. In fact the heartless did not seemed to be too fond of them in general.

The effects of this battle were starting to be noticed, by him he was felling tired. Noticing that the battle was about to start again he readied himself for the next attack. It did take some effort. The heartless themselves had to have noticed this change as well for they were starting to get more aggressive with their attacks. Again this fell mainly with the darkball heartless. The one plame tree behind him was going to have be be his cover once again for the time being.

After having used his bare hands to destroy the heartless before him, Stratos was starting to understand something about the monk power that he had been using. It was certainly a powerful style that he could get used to using, and slowly but surely he was getting the hang of punching and kicking things. The power of the four seasons was also something to be reckoned with as well. However, he was seeing where its limits lied. While he was able to keep up with the heartless and able to destroy them with great speed, fighting a horde with this bare handed power of his was far less effective then it was with a blade. And so, taking a deep breath, the boy started to focus as he was enveloped in a red and green light. Slowly, the light moved off of him, turning into mere particles as Stratos's outfit had returned to normal. The emblem of the fist now missing from his jacket and it returning to both being open and going back to its usual black coloration, Stratos looked at his hands. Going back to bare hands, the cestuses now missing, the boy held out his hand, taking in yet another deep breath as he focused on bringing back his keyblade. Looking at the weapon he said, "yeah, maybe this'll do for now."

Not wanting to use any of the fancy new job powers that he had obtained upon becoming a master, Stratos figured he'd just stick back to use the basics of his keyblade bladework, the skill commands associated with it and the magic he could use with it. Of course, the new aura of gravity was still around him, and the boy was still trying to master just how this kind of power functioned so it wasn't all just vanilla keyblade wielding. Twirling his keyblade, he looked towards a lone shadow that was popping out of the ground. Spinning his keyblade faster, the boy tossed it at the small heartless, the strike raid instantly hitting it and destroying it. Calling the blade back to his hand, he was then assaulted by a neo shadow almost immediately afterward. Looking up, the boy brought his keyblade to defend himself from the attack, the claw being stopped by the blade's guard. Channeling his gravity aura through the weapon, it soon went into the body of the neo shadow, causing it to suddenly shudder and smash into the ground, unable to lift itself up over the sudden increase in gravity it was experiencing. With a stab downward, Stratos managed to fell the neo shadow in a singular, heavy strike.

After that was done, four more neo shadows popped up from the ground, claws at the ready to rake into Stratos. As their claws closed in, the boy focused his gravity magic into his feet, letting out a burst of magical force to cause him to leap over the claws. Now higher in the air then he had ever jumped before, the boy then caused a surge of gravity magic to affect him again, causing him to come crashing back towards the ground much faster. With a singular heavy slash, Stratos landed on the neo shadow, destroying it instantly. The three others being shocked by this, Stratos then dashed forward, sliding across the ground and stabbing into one, following up with a singular fire strike, his flaming keyblade cutting it in twain. As the two lasts ones leaped into the air after him, the boy snapped his fingers, causing the neo shadows to float there harmlessly. Jumping after them, the boy altered his own gravity to allow him to hang in the air longer, spinning all the while and cleaving through both of the neoshadows with his keybladae.

Sure enough, not too long after the first wave of darkness had been cleansed did a new one rise to take its place. Fortunately, he and his fellows had become experts at the art of purification long before they had become masters. It was a most ancient rite, one that had been practiced since time immemorial: a good old-fashioned Keyblade to the face. Or perhaps the gut, or shins. Regardless, it was a practice they were all putting to good use right about now, whatever the designation of the anatomical target. Steel himself was targeting several faces and stomachs at the moment. He rushed about the battlefield, clawing at eyes and thrusting into stomachs. It occurred to him for about the thousand and umpteenth time that his style of fighting, was he not fighting a horde of dark constructs, would, in fact, leave quite the gory mess. But then, he was fighting dark constructs, and that meant a lot more options and angles for attacking. Why bother holding anything back?

It occurred to him vaguely that some of the others were fighting one of the Darksides, but for the moment he satisfied himself by tearing through the normal shadows. It would surely benefit them all, he thought, to take out a large amount of the smaller heartless earlier on before they became too much of a problem. Of course, he wouldn't want to focus on them for too long: there were still plenty of heartless that could become a threat a lot faster if left alone. Invisibles were especially annoying. For now, though, the shadows would do fine. He dashed through an entire line of said ant-like creatures with a powerful forward thrust before crushing another small group underneath the incredibly impossible weight of a Graviga spell. One attacked, he dodged in turn. His counterattack was to impale it and fling it towards its friends. Their own sad attempt at a counter-offensive was met with the staggering voltage of a Thundaga spell. Yes, he was greatly enjoying having more than a single third tier spell, and offensive ones to boot. One could only imagine the further possibilities that would open up to him in terms of combat combinations as he furthered his magical prowess. Of course, his physical strength still required quite some honing as well. Of course, he was still quite adept in his precision, even without his Ninja abilities. He smirked as his thought was punctuated with the sound of his strike raid finding an unfortunate target.

Finding another small group of hapless heartless, Steel cast a Stopga spell in their vicinity. His targets now extremely vulnerable, he rushed forward with a sliding dash, cutting through most of them as he ran past before turning around and charging back into their midst with a barrier surge. The explosion of light dealt heavy damage to multiple targets around him, and all of his stopped foes vanished into miasma as his spell wore off. Even some of those who had merely wandered into the blast radius had been dealt with, making for quite an efficient showing, though not necessarily one filled to the brim with humility. Satisfied with his extremely bright showing, Steel turned to the dozens of other heartless, clamoring wildly for their turn to attempt taking a chunk out of the Keyblade Masters. Not even remotely deterred by the immense blast of light that had just gone off, several more came charging towards him. He could show them the error of their ways with another immense infusion of light energy, but that would likely be wasteful on mere shadows. So instead, he just cut every single one that rushed him into two.

He watched as a small group of drakball heartless come out of no where and ended up floating in front of him. They tilted their heads, looking at the sky aimlessly as they rose like black ink from no where to the leveled plain. They looked to him with intense glowing eyes. Their bent teeth showed. One of the darkball heartless jumped towards him, prompting Aux to tilt his head up as he watched the darkball hearless come towards him. The heartless looked down immediately and made a mad gliding dash towards the man. HE remained in place as he watched the heartless approach him at an alarming speed. As the darkball heartless prepared to spinn away at his face, He quickly stabbed the darkball heartless by it's head causing it to flail. He glared at the creature as he jumped into the air, the darkball heartless' head still in his palm. As he jumped back down, he swung down his hand, slamming his palm and the heartless' head with it.

Now that it was unable to escape becasue of the countless heartless infrount of him. With a heavy swing, he attacked another darkball heartless. The rotund heartless was caught unaware and he threw the darkball heartless into another one. He sent the darkball heartless into it companion. The darkball heartless would at least would take some damage. As much as he wanted to say they were getting close to finishing up their fight here, it was hard to convince himself of that. He looked around and noticed that there were just begining the battle. He fired off a another strike to a wayward darkball heartless. He took a swing at another darkball heartless, taking it out and looking around. It seemed kind of strange how there were so many enemies and yet they did not just completely overwhelm him all at once.

It had appeared that he somehow had managed to get the darkballs to slow down. They were slowed down for now but he knew that they would attack soon. It seemed that the stopped darkballs were not going to stay stopped. Taking another deep breath, and ready for the onslot that was sure to come from the darkballs and shadows. With his wepond at the ready the boy charged forward with swift speed rushing towards the darkball heartless. before they could do anything. With a single cut nothing seemed to happen at first, only for the keyblade master to then immediately strike with yet another swing of his weapon the darkball exploded. Another darkball show up this one looking regular size and he took this one one fast too. The heartless were destroyed in an instant, unable to take the raw force of the attack, and dissipated back into the strands of shadow they were made of. He was staring to get the grove of this battling thing but he knew that he was getting tired. With that some of the heartless were now gone. He knew that he would be be able to cut through the heartless even more easily than he had been before, and started to run headfirst into the on coming mob. There was still a gap between him and the next darkball heartless, meaning that he would have to try and make his way further through the battle at hand. There was more fighting to be had before he could ever make it over to the next darkball. He watched as the darkball heartless flew through the air before hinting the ground and disapearing. Perhaps he should have thought things through before throwing a heartless into the air. Spinning himself around He searched around for anyone that was familiar. He still was not quite able to see anyone again.
