Hikaru looked back as more shadows were beginning to overwhelm the two. "Sure, raincheck." Hikaru turned back towards anymore oncoming shadow heartless. He kept his stance and slashed at a few of the oncoming shadows. "And y'know that's fine with me, because it is clearly a lot to take in." He saw a few of the shadow heartless sneak into the ground as he was trying to talk to Kaida and fight at the same time. He kept his guard up and moved his keyblade vertically back and forth to prepare for any more oncoming attacks. "It's just y'know I wanna make sure that well, you're okay after all that." Kaida was most likely not listening to any of this, but whenever Hikaru got nervous, he began to speak more than regularly. When too many thoughts were racing through his mind, it was more often than not that he would beginning babbling and ensue in what Aux coined to be 'word vomit.' Spotting the upcoming shadows, he quickly stepped back as they rose from their shadow sneak state an looked up to him. One after the other they leapt into the air before Hikaru held his keyblade in a horizontal position to parry. Like a smack to the face, each of the shadow heartless were knocked back onto the ground. Doing his little routine clean up, Hikaru attacked the ground as if he were sweeping with a weapon to help get rid of any remaining or straggling shadow heartless.

He turned to Kaida. "Because if you wanna talk about any... I dunno feeling you need to vent on the subject, just know that as you're friend I'm right here if you need to-"
At least a dozen shadow heartless jumped on his back from behind, causing him to fall to the ground in an embarrassing and unprofessional way. The shadow heartless squirmed and twitched as they scratched his back and head.Covering his head with one of his arms, he slowly pushed up on the heartless that were swarming him from the back. He swatted his keyblade as he slowly tried to rise to his feet, eliminating any heartless that were in the way of his keyblade. When Hikaru's brain was scattered, he would lose focus. And when he lost focus, he would begin to make bad decisions as was just displayed by the embarrassing overtaking that had just occurred. Covering his head still from the shadows that were continue to pile on, Hikaru was becoming frustrated. "Oh you know what, that does it!" He pointed his keyblade to the sky as far as he coul, stabbing and eliminating a shadow heartless as it did. "Faith!" he cried out.

His keyblade glowed brightly as an immense and powerful pillar of light shined down next to him, blasting off a small portion of shadows. Another burst fell down between him and the coconut tree, knocking back some of the shadow heartless over the dock. A third pillar rained down with a powerful beam that was close enough to Hikaru to do some serious damage. The third pillar knocked a good two thirds of the clinging heartless off of Hikaru, as he fully rose to his feet. The fourth and final pillar burst down closer to the beach, managing to push off and even eliminate some of the heartless that were climbing the dock. Reaching behind his neck and throwing off a a shadow heartless into the air, he quickly made a slash at it, before kicking off the shadow wrapped around his leg. Again, he made easy work of that one too. Sighing, Hikaru repeating. "Right... raincheck."

As Beuce accepted the help, he then unleashed yet another thundaga spell from his keyblade. The thundaga, however, looked a bit different in nature. Rather than being the usual yellow bolts of lightning that fell from the sky, these seemed to have an odd black and purple coloration to them. As they appeared to strike with more force than normal, Stratos was wondering just what it was that Beuce was doing to make his magic that way, when noticed that he was also in a new state as well. There seemed to be an overwhelming aura of darkness radiating from him, and while Stratos was thinking about how to change into a state quite like that, the concept in his head started to become fuzzy. It wasn't as though it was impossible, though. He figured one just needed a sufficient connection to darkness and a large, raw amount of strength. He had the darkness part down, but for as strong as he had become, he was still nowhere near reaching that level. As the man commented on it apparently sapping his strength, he figured there was probably something about the darkness that naturally ate away at you when you tried to abuse it, but didn't try to get any farther in that line of thinking. As he shifted out of the form however, he noted how they had come a long way from when they first started.

Chuckling, the boy said, "yeah, remember when you used this form for the first time and laughed at what it did to my own aura. Well," turning around he saw a few shadow jump at him. With a single cleave of his sword, the shadows were immediately destroyed. "Don't think it's quite as funny now," the boy joked. This joke was cut short as a Neo Shadow pounced towards him, claws at the ready. Dodging away from the attack, Stratos rolled backwards, and as he did he saw the Beuce was also occupied with a neo shadow of his own. However, the white haired man seemed to be holding his own, which meant Stratos had to now deal with this one by himself as well. While he had been fighting a large amount of neo shadows so far, these were still early experiences with them. Coupled with their already speedy movement and strange flexibility it made fighting them somewhat difficult. Putting up his guard, the boy deflected the first attack from the Neo Shadow, and immediately went into a retaliation of his own. Immediately leaping off the ground, the boy smashed the keyblade into the ground, sending the heartless flying into the air. Following up with imbuing his keyblade with ice, he then slashed twice, forming a cross of frost over the Neo Shadow. With a singular downward slash, the icy cross broke, and immediately destroyed the Neo Shadow.

Landing back on the ground, he looked to Beuce saying, "well, not so bad once you get the hang of them...probably. But it certainly makes you want to destroy the little ones if this is what they become, right?" As if on cue, a few more of the shadow heartless began to make their way towards him. Spinning his keyblade, he tossed one with a strike raid as he had managed to fell it in a singular strike. The next few leaped at him, causing the boy to recall his keyblade and let loose a swift cross slash, forcing them out of the air and killing the instantly. As he kept fighting them, another familiar figure eventually entered the area near them. Jumping in slight shock, the boy said, "oh hey Ignis. Haven't actually gotten around to fighting those things yet," he gestured to the dark balls. "Been kept plenty business with these little guys after all. We're doing fine, but you're free to join if you want."

Luna continued to storm ahead toward a group of five shadows just up ahead. She readied her blade, ran toward the group and cut through them. She looked back to see some Darkballs scattering. Luna ran toward one of them and begun her strikes. The Darkball had charged toward her only to be struck down in two hits by her. She then ran to another Darkball and did the same. She, once again, ran toward another one and repeated the same process. By the end of it, she had struck down five Darkballs. Luna gave herself a moment of reprieve before taking a deep breath and continued the long battle. She wasn't going to let her stamina fall and be her undoing. As she charged back into battle, three shadows had appeared on one side of her and another three on the other. "This isn't good." She immediately stopped in her path and immediately casted magic once more. "Blizzaga!" Ice had impaled the group of six and each one had disappeared into thin air. With that group eliminated, Luna ran back toward Kel. "How are you doing? Anything I could do to help?" Luna spoke to Kel, while making sure no other heartless around to sneak up on them.

As Stratos was ready to take on the next collection of shadows near him, his own words seemed to come back to haunt him. Almost immediately after saying that he was fine to Ignis, a dark portal opened up next to him. From it, almost instantly appeared the strange black spherical creature with a few tendrils across its body. The creature seemed to almost chuckled at him as it flew towards him, trying to chomp down on him with its giant jaws. Stumbling back away from the creature, Stratos let out a small yelp of surprise, as the creature then seemed to start rolling in the air, bowling over towards him. Stratos raised his keyblade to defend against the attack. Though he managed to parry the attack entirely, he was still off balance and was thus forced back away from it. As he was, yet another dark ball had appeared out of nowhere near him. Ducking down, he managed to avoid the attack as it tried to chomp down on him as well. Jumping up, the boy tried to use an uppercut slash against the dark ball to hit, though the creature seemed to roll away from the attack, seeing it coming. "Well, these things are annoying."

Not deterred in the slightest though, Stratos continued to charge at the dark ball, only for the original one to bowl towards him again. Seeing this coming, the boy managed to jump up into the air, avoiding the attack as he did. As the second one attempted to bite down on him in his descent, the boy coated his blade in flames before stabbing it down into the mouth of the creature. The sword entering his mouth faster than it could chomp down, the flaming blade managed to run through the creature, coming out the other end of the creature and setting it ablaze. With that settled, the dark ball was destroyed instantly. However, with no down time to get through this, two more dark balls had appeared near him, trying to chomp down on him. Nimbly flipping backwards, the initial part avoided the first of the attacks while the second part of the flip had his feet smash into them. As he landed back on his feet, the first one bowled towards him, though standing his ground, the boy guarded against the attack again. This caused the creature to recoil, and with a steadier guard this time, Stratos was able to follow up. Leaping into the air, he coated his blade with ice once more, spinning to strike it three times with each spin. The first two strikes took out chunks of the heartless, while the third one had managed to destroy it entirely.

With that having been taken care of, Stratos sighed as four more dark balls spawned in, accompanying the two that had come earlier. He wasn't entirely sure if he would be able to deal with all six of them bowling at him at once, but he would certainly have to try. Knowing that his guard would crumble against the attacks, the boy first dodge rolled out of the way of the first two that were trying to hit him. The second two he managed to jump over, leaving him in the air for the fifth to bowl at him. Guarding against the attack, the boy was sent back to the ground as he was smashed in by the mass of the dark ball. The final one then charged the boy, though he was just about fed up with this at this point. Taking a deep breath, cherry blossoms began to fall from the sky, as the boy vanished from sight, only to strangely appear in the same place. As he did, the darkballs he had been fighting, as well as a few shadows, were instantly destroyed by the attack.

The effects of this battle were starting to be noticed, more so with the neoshadows as they seemed to be running low on their numbers. Noticing this did take some effort on the account of them for the most part being mixed in the swirling mass of darkness that were the smaller shadows. If they weren't just slightly taller than the other shadows it would've been more of a challenge to notice this. The heartless themselves had to have noticed this change as well for they were starting to get more aggressive with their attacks. Again this fell mainly with the neoshadows. The two trees behind him were covered in the wiggling darkness that was the heartless menace, following the growing trend that was grabbing on to the smaller heartless and tossing them at the Kel. If their aim was better they could have landed a direct hit on Kel while he was not looking. But their aim left a lot to be desired and as such when the one heartless came whizzing past Kel, landing smack dab in the sand before turning to dust, he immediately turned his head behind him towards the heartless all among the tree. The sheer amount of heartless on the tree was having a noticeable affect as there were much too many for that one tree to bear. Five neoshadows in particular couldn't keep any grip on the tree and came crashing down onto the ground. It would have been nice if the fall had just done them in, but being the larger variety they had a bit more durability than their smaller heartless counterparts. The neoshadows scrambled around on the ground before melding into it and reforming in their slouched positions. The blank stare was directed at Kel moments before they set off to attack him.

The start was the usual song and dance that Kel had quick grown accustomed to when dealing with the neoshadows. Two of the puddles had taken on more of a head on approach in attacking him. The puddles got halfway there before the shadows themselves leap upward and prepared to strike. It had been during the dive downward in which Kel countered with a quick toss of his keyblade in their direction which had bisected the two heartless into dust. The remaining three puddles were a bit more clever in their approach and seemingly attacked from the front. Kel braced himself for the attack heading in the front, but the seeming attack was a feint and the three puddles scattered and swung around behind him. He fell for the feint hook, line and sinker and as a result was taking another claw attack to the back. This one did more than just sting as there was actual pain that followed the injury. It was his fault for getting careless, having grown used to the same old method of attack from the neoshadows. For the time being Kel fought through the pain and ignored it long enough to see that the neoshadows were trying the same trick once again. This time with a seemingly similar strategy. At this point Kel had felt like he'd recovered enough strength to use one of his stronger attacked, which was followed by him unleashing a zantesuken attack upon the heartless before they could make an attack. Luna had approached him shortly after he'd finished dealing with those three neoshadows. "I'm doing okay." It was more or less the truth, despite just taking another hit from the neoshadows. Kel looked up towards the tree that were still covered to the brim in neoshadows. "Think you can help me in dealing with them?" The heartless were coming up with different tactics to fight and having someone to watch his back would be nice to have.

Kaida at this rate was not going to be allowed the chance to process this and grab a raincheck on the convo since Hikaru was still yammering away about it even though he was trying to be as indirect as possible. Kaida knocked away the horde to get herself standing again. She got up just as Hikaru's fairth blasted all of the shadows out of a nearby and she quickly stepped back out of worry it might friendly fire, but she turned out alright. She took a deep breath and held her keyblades in a stance as she focused in and felt her keyblades begin to glow a bit.

The blonde smirked and quickly dashed in and in a flurry of attacks, red slash made her keyblades clash together in a beautiful combination of thunder and fire. As the shadows took the damage, Kaida backed carefully away and without much struggle she jumped her way back onto the dock. She looked down at the heartless and said, "I don't like how you talk about yourself like this is your fault."

The girl took a knee as she continued looking down at the heartless, watching the shadows jump up as the little friend ran over to grab a couple more coconuts. Kaida focused in to point her keyblade and yell, "Thundara!" the heartless were struck by the lightning bolts in an instant, and the shadows stood paralyzed.

"The circumstances were clearly not under your control. And you're talking to me as if you... took something from me." Kaida stood up and looked towards Hikaru and said, "I met you first. You. Not Aux. Even if... you had Aux's memories... that wasn't what we based our friendship on." she sighed as a shadow jumped up to attack her and she slashed it away and it disappeared with a poof noise.

She turned to focus on the group before she asked, "What do you mean... once we cross the portal... the remnant will return to him?"

Aux staggered a bit as he shook his head. The sensation he was going through was intense, seeing as how he felt as if numerous flashes of his life were being broadcasted into his head Everything from his first steps, to his birthdays, to his family, to his entire life on his home world. Everything was being returned to him slowly and without mercy. He had to breathe in deeply through his nose and out his mouth just to stop himself from screaming. He was going through numerous emotions at a time. Anger, sadness, frustration, joy, fear... As the cascade of memories slowed down, he slowly removed his hands from his head, now being able to hear everything that was going on around him. The background noise blasting in his head was subsiding and making room for the sights and sounds of everything around him. He blinked his deep blue eyes twice as he watched the swarms of heartless race across the battlefield. He knew where he was, but it was as if he was watching everything with fresh new eyes. For the first time in a long time, Aux had remembered everything.

He turned his head to the dock and saw Hikaru and Kaida working alongside eachother to defeat some shadowheartless that were climbing up onto the dock from the beach. Looking elsewhere, he charged onto the battlefield without so much as summoning his keyblade. He thought about back when he told Hikaru that once they had a minute, they needed to talk.' True as that was, Aux had a method on helping himself keep focus off of the dramatic, and that was by putting all his focus and energy onto something else. This battle came at an opportune moment, as Aux was now able to take out any frustration on the matter onto the invading heartless. By continuing his run, he gained enough momentum to jump off a shadow heartless, luckily dispelling it in the process. He jumped close to a darkball and held it's chain's slowly pulling it down. He swayed his legs back and forth as he was preparing to gain more momentum. The darkball wasn't fond of this and began to thrash back and forth to try and shake the man off. He climbed up the chain quickly without ease, and jumped onto it's head, he grabbed one of the darkball's antennae and pulled on it, falling off. Aux's choice of action caused the darkball to lose stability, and be dragged down as Aux held onto the darkball as he dragged it down. Falling fast, he landed flat on his feet and with an impressive amount of force; slammed the darkball into the ground. The impact of Aux's force caused the darkball to vanish.

Aux cracked his knuckles and took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. As he opened them, he turned to the person closest to him, which in this case was Aislinn. As much as he didn't get along with her, she was still doing her part in the battle. He held his gloved hand in front of him and summoned a keyblade, gripping it quickly. As he was about to approach her, several darkballs appeared behind him preparing to make their attack. As one of them got close enough to him, Aux spun around and wrapped one of the darkball's chain's around his keyblade. Then, as if the darkball was a morning star, he swung around the heartless and began to hit the other floating heartless. He grunted as he slammed the last one into the ground, watching as it vanished. He looked up and cracked his neck before speaking to her. "Give me something to hit."

As soon as his first assault from the darkballs had finished, a second one almost immediately had started up. As a new dark ball had appeared towards him, the boy first dodge rolled out of the way of the attack, quickly reacting to the attack as it came at him. As the chompers of the heartless continued to come towards him the boy continued to move backward away from the heartless, only for another one of the darkballs to bowl towards him. Rolling out of the way of the second's attack, the dark ball that had been trying to chomp at him had instead had its mouth filled as the second dark ball rolled into it. The two seemed to be stuck for a moment, and Stratos eyed them, curious about what was about to happen with it. The two were just paused in mid-air, and neither seemed to be actually bothered by the current predicament they had found themselves in. Instead, it merely looked towards Stratos, and now with the mass of two dark balls, started to roll towards him. Rolling with greater speed and with more awkward timing, the boy could barely guard against the attack. The raw force behind it seemed to cause him to skid across the ground, grimacing in pain when the attack had connected.

To make matters worse, more dark balls had seemed to be attracted to this location. One by one, six more had joined the fray, causing him to be facing down yet another total of eight. All of them began gnashing their teeth, bar the two that seemed to be stuck together, and looked like they were ready to start chomping through Stratos's skin. Not wanting to be the next meal, however, the boy started to run the opposite direction that they were in, trying to get them towards him while also not being a siting duck. However, this plan was cut short, as he had to stop in his tracks. One of the dark balls, rather than trying to roll into him, had merely teleported in front of him to stop his run. Opening its mouth, getting ready to bite into the boy, Stratos instead spun his keyblade, tossing it into its mouth. The blade went through the creature's mouth, and as the creature attempted to close its jaws, it instead burst into darkness. Summoning his keyblade back, the boy saw that the other seven had managed to catch up with him.

Thinking that guarding against them would force him into a war of attrition that he would not win, he instead sought to match blow for blow. The boy slid forth in a dash, cleaving through the first of the dark balls as it tried to bowl into him. As the second came at him, the boy ignited his keyblade, and pivoting on his foot, the boy jumped and spun into the air, bringing his flaming blade down onto the creature. As he managed to kill the dark ball with his flaming blade the third one had appeared next to him came in to bite down on him. Spinning his keyblade, the boy tossed his sword with a strike raid, cleaving the dark ball in twain. With only four more coming at him, the boy took a deep breath as he focused for his next strike. As the four dark balls rolled towards him, the boy slashed an X into the air with more force then he had done before. As his cross slash exploded into a gust of war, the two lone dark balls had been instantly destroyed, as the two conjoined ones were forced apart. Jumping at them, spinning in mid air, with a single slash the boy had managed to cleave through the two remaining dark balls.

Kaida hit the heartless a couple more times and throwing another fire spell into the crowd before the little shadow came back with another coconut and she chucked it into the crowd, knocking a couple of shadows into each other like a domino effect. She tensed up a bit as a couple more jumped at her and she knocked them down. She had fun flipping her keyblades around and knocking a few more. She waited for Hikaru's response patiently, but a form of dread was beginning to creep in that she couldn't quite shake. She took a deep breath as she waited for his answer.

As Hikaru held his keyblade aloft, he tried to recall what the remnant was. "I'm not exactly sure what it is. From what I can remember, it's like a small orb of darkness. Whatever it was, it made Aux act irrationally. After he took that he began to distance himself from us more and more. It's like all he cared about was getting stronger with darkness. And what's worse, it was Nequa that gave it to him. I haven't ran into her much, but from what I've, she's not to be taken lightly." He slashed a quick shadow that was trying to climb aboard the dock. "And that's what Megumi said, remember? Once we get to the threshold, everyone's entree fees will be returned to them. Aux's fee was his remnant. His memories are just something Sho took from him. I don't know why they came back to him now of all times..." He looked back at the edge of the dock and saw a couple more of the shadows begin to scurry aboard. While trying to explain, he quickly dealt an uppercut with his keyblade and jumped into the air. He performed a quick, but powerful aerial combo before landing back down to his feet. The heartless were removed from sight as he looked back to Kaida.

"And as far as our friendship goes..." He stopped, trying to think of something to say that wouldn't sound too self hating or out of character. This was one of the few times, Hikaru ever had to discuss something emotionally heavy. "I just felt that if I wasn't real then... neither was the bonds I made with people." He thought back to what Tron said back in Space Paranoids. His time in the digital world gave him time to reflect on the fact that he was a replica. Up until that point, he didn't take the time to really stop and think about his current predicament. Of all the worlds he had visited in the Mark of Mastery Exam, the Space Paranoids is probably where he did the most self growth in. The bit about how despite him being a copy, the thing that made him unique was the bonds he forged with others. Before speaking further, he saw a small gaggle of shadow heartless try to reach the edge of the dock from the beach terrain. "Blizzaga!" he cried, firing a quick spell of ice at the group of them. The powerful ice spell froze and immediately eliminated the threats, showing just how strong and well ranged the ice spell was. Tiny shard of ice faded into the ground as they mystically melted out of sight.

"Our friendship means the world to me, and I just hate that lately it's felt that I haven't shown that. I left Central Haven to search for Aux without telling you, and I spent the entirety of Pridelands trying to make sure he was okay. I never once stopped to check in how you were doing." He performed a quick ground combo to another small quartet of oncoming shadows. He lunged into the group and began his routinely sweeping of his keyblade to remove and eradicate them off the deck that he and Kaida were defending. The ones he didn't defeat were sinking their way along the ground. He watched as a few began to shadow sneak under his feet, holding his keyblade and preparing them to rise of from the ground. It was almost as if he was fishing with his bare hands and he was just waiting for them to pop our of the ground. As he watched them return to their three dimensional form, he took his keyblade and swung it down overhead, making quick work of the remaining heartless shadows. Once the area was secure, he looked back to Kaida and approached her. "I promise once this is over, I will never lie or keep secrets from you again."

Much to Aislinns surprise Aux had joined the battle and even started on his way towards her, fighting his way though the heartless in a rather violent manner. She didn't mind too much, having help over on her end of things was not something that she was willingly going to turn down, even if the help was from a hot headed boy who clearly didn't like her at all. In the end help was help and she could use some of it at that moment if they were going to make it through this in one piece. The way Aux worded things when he finally chose to acknowledge that she existed, made Aislinn chuckle a little bit as he asked if she had anything for him to hit. Choosing to make a game out of such things, Aislinn looked around and picked up a Shadow as she took a few steps backwards allowing a little more space between her and Aux. "Alright are you ready for it. It is going to come at you underhand." Aislinn warned as she brought the Heartless around and tossed it towards Aux like an underhand pitch, ready for him to hit it away like a baseball, taking some skills that she learned with the skill Fist Bump, to make her pitch all that more effective, since she was throwing a creature instead of a ball.

Glancing around though her games wouldn't be able to last long as she noticed that heartless started to pop up around them, more of those pesky Neoshadows. Gritting her teeth Aislinn was a little annoyed by them as she turned to look at more forming behind her. Jumping, Aislinn flipped over a few of the enemies before landing back to back with Aux. "You don't have to like me, but we are doing this together, if you watch my back, I will watch yours, deal?" It was a quick offer that she didn't assume that he would refuse. She finally smirked as she thought of the words of a hero who once passed through her town on his own travels. "So, do you think you can handle this many?" She challenged Aux before being forced to jump into the battle that was awaiting her. Her knuckles already white from gripping the keyblade. She didn't wish to think herself that angry of a person but at this moment the pent up rage from the battle was gnawing at her gut and Aislinn simply bowed to it's whims as she unleashed herself on the heartless that she was facing off against.

Like dust on the wind, all the heartless were was dust on the wind as Aislinn let her keyblade cut through one after another. Even when she jumped back to go into a defensive like stance, Aislinn would be careful not to bump into Aux or get in his way. They were working together for now and she didn't want to run the risk of pissing him off and adding another enemy into this battle. It was already tense enough as it was, and while some people like Hikaru seemed okay to talk with others, she was finding that a more difficult task than she should have. Her focus being entirely on the battle in front of her made it more difficult to observe and communicate with those around her, it was something that she would need to work on going forth to become a successful keyblade master. The title would mean nothing if she didn't have the strength to put it to good use and actually uphold the title to it's fullest.

Kaida listened to Hikaru's explanation intently, keeping an eye out for more potential heartless. When he finished speaking his mind, Kaida made one of her keyblades disappear as she reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder as she replied, "I don't want you to feel like you have to make promises you can't keep. I understand the need for secrets, and well, now I know why you were so focused on Aux. I wish I had known, but that can't be helped."

She looked at him and said, "I do not know if you've come to terms with this yet, but regardless. Your bonds are real to me." Kaida shifted into her pocket and held out the bird charm he had made for her and said, "This was your making and your work, of your own volition because you cared enough about our bond. Even if it turned out to not be real at the start, that's your impact." she put the charm back safely in her pocket, "Please don't forget that."

Kaida resummoned out her keyblade and stood in a stance as she said, "Now if you'll excuse me. I feel recharged enough to jump in with pipsqueak back into the horde. Shall we?" she looked down at the shadow who climbed up into her hood. She looked at Hikaru and nodded at him before she jumped into the horde once more.

She moved at her top speed through the horde, causing them to separate before she held her hand out and said, "Stopra!" the heartless froze around her and the girl closed her eyes as she quickly flashed through a group of twenty. She flashed between them moving back and forth between them as they stood still, taking whatever damage the blonde managed though they didn't feel it while they were frozen. She flipped around a couple times and the small area seemed to try to flicker back to the normal timespot.

When she was done, the girl stood still and snapped her fingers for time to unfreeze and for the heartless to explode. She turned her way back to deal with a couple extras that managed to not get destroyed in her cool moment. The shadow also jumped out and helped out with a few extras as well. She looked back at it and said, "Thanks little guy."

The shadow made a noise back, and Kaida stepped slightly away from it mostly out of concern.

Turning around Aislinn glanced back to see how Aux was doing. While she did keep her eyes all around, ensuring that nothing crept up on her, she just wanted to make sure everyone else was okay as well. "How are you holding up over there?" She asked in an earnest, not mocking voice, like she was genuinely at least slightly concerned. It wasn't at all that Aislinn didn't think that Aux could handle things himself. He had proven himself more than capable when he took on the hyena's by himself to buy them time to worry about Scar. That being said it didn't mean that she was not allowed to check up on his well being every now and then. If they were going to fight along side each other, even for a little bit, Aislinn needed to make sure that everyone was doing alright, it was in the best interest of everyone. If even one of them fell to something she could have prevented, not only would Aislinn feel bad about it, but it also put them at more of a disadvantage than they already were at, and that was something that she really didn't want for them, not when they were already facing off against thousands of heartless. That being said taking a quick glance around the island it seemed that the numbers had been reduced by a significant amount. It gave Aislinn a moment to relax her shoulders, but not enough to fully regain her energy as the battle was still going strong and she had someones back that she needed to be watching after all.

After that moment to check on how her comrade was doing, Aislinn turned her attention back to the heartless around her as she formulated the best plan of action going forward. At this point there was no real strategy, just hit fast and hard and dodge when she could. With this many heartless, there wasn't the time or predictability to create proper strategies. They just had to do with what they could in order to get through this in the best way that they could. Taking her keyblade in both her hands, Aislinn put a lot of strength into her next hits on the heartless around her, showing them no mercy as in a whirlwind of attacks, Aislinn had moved to Aux's left side, intercepting an attack that he was about to take, slicing the heartless's head clean off it;s body. From there she darted away before she was too annoying, taking up her position around the back of Aux again trying to deal with mostly the big guys first, though on occasion the smaller heartless would find their way closer to them and realize why that was such a bad idea. She had seen the damage that these creatures could cause. She lived in fear of them for so long that it was time to stop. Breaking free of that mentality Aislinn was determined to deal with these little demons once and for all, prove to herself what she could do here and what she could take home to her people. It was this thought that kept the drive going, even as beads of sweat trickled down her forehead with each swing and strike of her keyblade. Even as her muscles ached since she hadn't had a proper break in a while. Through all of this Aislinn still pushed on, not only to save herself or this world, but for what it would mean going forward and returning to her own world. It was a goal that she set that would get her through this to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Aux rolled back his shoulders as Aislinn pitched the heartless towards him as if it was a baseball. Lowering the keyblade he had in one hand, he caught the shadow heartless with his free hand, it's head being held in his large hand. He glared as he squeezed on the heartless' head, feeling it twitch and squirm in his hands. The heartless eventually couldn't take the pressure that Aux was inflicting on it and vanished into dark smoke, Aux's fist fully closed as it vanished. He looked at his hand as if expecting to find something there. "Oops. Fouled out." A somewhat sick sense of humor, Aux shrugged before turning his back to see what was approaching them." He held his keyblade to his side as he watched more darkballs begin to surround them. "I wouldn't take it personally. And if it's any consolation, I guess you could say I kinda hate everyone. I'm just not much of a people person I guess." He watched as the darkballs rammed their way through the sky to begin their attack. He lifted his keyblade and cast a quick fire spell at the darkball, watching it twinge as it continued to burn. Aux jumped into the air and began a slow, but powerful assault with his keyblade against the oncoming darkballs. The heartless were dispersed without even so much as a second thought, as he landed with a great impact on the ground. Unknown to him, there was a small shadow heartless he crushed while on the way down. Aux looked back and shrugged at her question regarding if there were too many heartless to fight. "Would seem that way if they weren't so weak." Aux caught sight of another darkball charging straight for him. Unflinching, he held up his keyblade to guard the attack and held his ground as the darkball flew straight into his keyblade. Chewing at the hilt as if it were a rabbid dog. Aux carefully took his blade and whacked it on the ground, getting the heartless to eventually burst into smoke from he sheer
impact of his blade hitting the ground. "Just be grateful that they're easy to kill..." He held his guard up for anymore oncoming threats. "And as far as sanity goes, I'm doing just great. A bunch of scurrying monsters hungry for taking my heart of course. But other than that, I'm just dapper."

Over with Kaida, Hikaru couldn't help but have a small smile escape his mouth as he watched her leap into action. "Safety first!" he yelled casting an Aero spell around his friend. His keyblade pointed in her general vicinity as a sphere of cutting air surrounded her while she did her thing. Hikaru turned his back to her as he tilted his head up to the sight of two darkballs. The large headed heartless rattled their metal chains as they smiled their sinister grins heading towards him. "Oh that's not good," he said, slowly stepping back from discomfort. One of the darkballs charge right in as Hikaru quickly guarded, parrying away the heartless' efforts. His eye immediately caught sight of the other darkball as he jumped off the edge of the dock and performed an aerial combo on the heartless. With that one vanished, he landed back onto the dock in time for the parried heartless to come back and try it's attack again. He held his keyblade with both hands and performed a swift uppercut, knocking the enemy into the air. He jumped up to perform another aerial combo on the foe as he hacked and slashed away at it before returning to the ground.

Stratos spun his keyblade around as he was getting ready for the next assault of dark balls. He was wondering why these heartless were starting to focus him so hard, but didn't think it quite mattered at the moment. All that mattered was that the heartless were here, and as a newly made keyblade master, it was his job to stop these heartless from winning. Just before, back in Central Haven, they had fought against a mere one thousand heartless. Just that amount alone was enough to bring them to their knees and force them to retreat. They had been brought to the limits of their stamina and though they were triumphant against those heartless, more had flooded in and forced them backwards. Each time they had made progress they were met with a stronger foe and forced back into retreat. But this time, he was going to stand against them. There was no way backwards, and the only way forwards was through swarm of heartless before them. Though the foes last time were greater, the numbers this time were well over one thousand. And if he had the strength now to cleave through these droves of heartless, then there was a chance that they'd be able to retake Central Haven after all of this.

Focusing on the task at hand, though, came first. And that task was dealing with the droves of dark balls that still remained. As eight of them began to warp in, trying to fight the boy who had been dispatching them thus far, the eight seemed to start to act in a different pattern than normal. Rather than all individually attacking him, the eight seemed to to get it into their heads to strike him all at once, as a group. The dark balls started to move together, and the strange dark tendrils across their bodies started to link up together, pulling each other in tighter. When all was said and done, the eight dark balls had formed into one large, lumpy looking sphere of dark balls. Sighing at the sight, Stratos merely twirled his keyblade around and looked at the creature before him. "Well, come at me big guy," Stratos goaded the creature. Letting out what seemed like a mix of eight laughs and roars all at once, the creature began to roll at the boy.

Trying to chip away at the creature, to start with, Stratos tossed his spinning keyblade in a strike raid at the creature. The blade however, was harmlessly parried away from the creature, causing Stratos to click his tongue in annoyance. Summoning his keyblade back to his hand, he began to swiftly move to the side, trying to avoid the creature's attack. He knew that trying to guard against a creature of that size and oddity would probably result in more harm then good, so relying on his speed was by far the more reliable option at the moment. However, after he rolled out of the way over the first attack, the creature seemed to spin faster and in the opposite direction. With quicker speed, it started hurtling itself towards Stratos, causing the boy to let out a small sigh as an aura of yellow lightning began to crackle around him, spewing from his chest again. As his Hunter limit was started up, the world became slower as the boy studied his opponent more closely. Trying to stop it now, he noted each of the knots of tendrils, and with swift slashes he had managed to strike each of them with his limit charged keyblade. When time resumed to normal, the dark balls all let out a small roar in pain, as they were exploded into a puff of darkness.

The Neoshadow that had rose out of nowhere up in front of him was still there not moving. It looked like it was waiting for something. It most likely was waiting for him to let his gaurd down or turn is back. The purple color of this one was glowing. It was something that he had never seen before. It seemed like the heartless were thinning. He could now see some of the distance again but he was sure that it was not going to last long. He just had to find a way to get out of there. That was when the neowshadow rose his hand and shadows started coming his way. Wasting as little time as possible on the smaller shadow heartless, Andrew was quickly closing the gap between himself and the Neoshadow. He was still using the bark of the tree as a weapon. Trying to dodge out of the way and keep walking slowly towards neoshadow. The purple neoshadow would not allow such things as to die so easily from him. The neoshadow so happened to move and it launched itself at him swiping with both its claw like hands towards him. Dodging out of the way as fast as he could, Andrew rolled to the ground to avoid the attack the neoshadow was now close to the tree that was behind him and Aux. This was just going perfect. This neoshadow seemed to be a leader of some sort. Looking up he could see a higher elevation in the distance. Only if he could get Aux and himself there he might be able to stand a chance. He did not want to be in center of it all which at the moment he seemed to be.

It was something to drive him a little more to fight he had to keep moving and the neoshadow seemed more intereted in him then Aux. As he moved around he gave the neoshandow a good kick and used the bark knife and slashing at the Neoshadow in a cross shaped motion. The Neoshadow fell and was now gone but there was till more heartless there. We at least he was keeping Aux save. He did not know that Aux was long gone by now. Slowly he hoped that more and more people would be joining the crazy thing known as this battle. He silently wished them luck knowing full well he might not see any of them again. He was forced to turn his attention back to the heartless that were still there and still coming towards him. He knew full well that they would not stay off of him for long. He needed to be ready for the next wave of attacks.

Here we go again He thought. There was no way around them still well a way around that he could take Aux with him. There was a the mass horde of smaller heartless starting to make there way towards him. He took a firm step forward and dashed off towards the horde of Shadows he would not let anything happen He was just about done using this back that was a knife. He faced the smaller heartless ready for there next move. Some of the smaller ones that made the occasional swipe at him he would kick back or use his knife. Only the unlucky ones that decided to actually come onto his path were struck down. Three shadows had all jumped at once and met a swift end by him moving fast and striking them as they came for him. They were soon dissolving into dust.

Having been knocked around like a punching bag by these heartless, Ignis was ready to pay them back with a little extra. Stratos and Beuce where dealing with their own fair number, but there were darkballs that seemed to be generous enough to wait for Ignis to get up right in front of her. She wasn't sure how these things thought, or if they even had a thought in the first place, but it kind of confused her when they kept acting random all the time.

As she was getting ready to deal with the problem in front of her, a few shadows bounced at her from behind. Reacting quickly, she twisted herself around and knocked them away. It seemed like the darkballs where waiting for that though, launching their own attack as she was busy dealing with the shadows. Having a train of heartless bouncing around wildly like that was not something she wanted to deal with, so Ignis rolled on the ground as low as she could go, getting under and behind the heartless. As they kept bouncing around madly, she enveloped her keyblade with flames and flung a wave of fire at the heartless, burning them all to a crisp. It wasn't enough to beat them, but it was enough to get them to stop bouncing around for a second. Luckily a second was all she needed as she took the opportunity to get in close and knock a few around. She slammed her keyblade into one of the darkballs, sending it flying, and then brought it down on another, throwing it into the ground. Before it could get up, she knocked it with her keyblade again, causing it to puff away. As she brought her keyblade against the third darkball, it took the chance to turn into a smoke cloud again, just barely dodging the strike. The others seemed to have the same idea and moved around randomly. She knew she didn't want to be near the things when they popped back in, so she ran away and got some distance. As the clouds turned back into their physical selves, they seemed surprised that Ignis wasn't there. She wondered if maybe they weren't entirely aware of where they were when they were gas clouds. Either that, or some other reason she couldn't think of. Not caring enough, she went back into the fray and knocked the heartless around a bit more. A few more disappeared from their beatings while two seemed to linger.

She readied herself to take out the last two when she got ambushed by more Shadows. As weak as they were, they certainly seemed to have the "bad timing" down pat. They jumped at Ignis and caused her to leave the heartless on the ground and go for the ones jumping at her. She enveloped her keyblade in flame again and brought it down on the group of Shadows, burning them with a large fire. Unlike the darkballs, this time they all vanished after the attack, leaving her to deal with the previous problems. Unlike before, however, they weren't laying idly on the ground. One had turned around and was ready to chop Ignis right into heartless chow. She got her keyblade in front of her, blocking the thing's teeth, and struggled with the weight it put on her from so close. As she struggled, the other darkball came launching at her with teeth baring. Deciding to get out of the way, she let herself get pushed back by the one in front of her, falling to the ground and letting the two heartless collide into each other. Taking the moment, Ignis launched some fire from her keyblade, burning the last darkballs.

As soon as the neoshadow and the shadows were gone more just seemed to come. After cutting through the last swath of heartless, he looked around the horde of shadows that seemed to be towards him more now. Stepping forward, slightly the heartless instinctively continued to come towards him. Only to eventually halt a few feet away. They were geting smarter. He knew that shortly the heartless would over take Aux and him. As they continued walking towards him, the halted horde of shadows began to charge at him all at once. This was not good. He had to guess that another neoshadow was leading them. Only this time he could not see the neoshadow. Of course they would all attack and once hoping to get a upper hand there were maybe 10 so so that had jumped towards him all at once. He tighten his grip on his makeshift knife he was never one for short range combat or hand to hand but he had to learn quick if he wanted to live. The mere flourish of his weapon didn't seem to do much of anything. It was not like he was using a keyblade. The heartless pounced towards him. He seemed to be suddenly swallowed in a dome of shadow and claw. The yellow eyes of the shadows were no longer visible with how tightly packed. They were now trying to scratch, maim and devour him. They wanted his heart. He once again backed up to the palm tree and this time the shadows were closer then before. He managed to take out a few with his makeshift knife which gave him enough room to breathe and fight his own way. Because of the larger wave of shadows he could no longer see Aux. He just had to hope that Aux was ok. He had to get rid of these shadows fast. With already a few down it might be easier. He slightly wondered how he was still alive. There was no time to think about that now tho. He had to act.

The other heartless then recoiled from his last attack. If they could feel he would say that they were almost repulsed by the shear force he just showed and now they did not seems at ready to come at him. The risks involved in being completely surrounded by shadows was even greater now. While others may think that this was fun he did not. He knew for a while now that he was going to just have to fight on his own. He was somewhat glad that it was this way. If he went down no one would be able to see it. It was probably suicidal to fight alone but it was not like he had a choice. He still thought that it was netter this way. The shadows were getting smarter and smarter. If this continued they might be able to take him out. He kept himself in a defensive stance as he readied himself for the next attack. The next group began to jump and try to hit hit him again. He was able to move to one side again just in time as he saw a shadow hit the palm tree. The shadows as a result piled up on each other. At this point he was able to take out a few more that ended up on the palm tree with some kicks and the use of his knife. There were still a few shadows left ready to attack him and then beyond them even more ready to join the fight.

It was good to see that Aux still had a sense of humour through all of this, especially since she wasn't too sure that he had one to start with, when she first began working with him in the Mark of Mastery Exam. He then told her not to worry about the fact that he hated her, and that he hated everyone. At least she knew that she didn't do irreversible damage to a relationship that was barely there. More than anything Aislinn was just glad the issue was something that was fixable and not a huge problem that was her causing. "That isn't entirely true. You seem to get along with Hikaru and Kia-" Aislinn cut herself off remembering how Kaida reacted when they first saw Aux. Perhaps she was not the best example of this. "You get along with Hikaru just fine it seems So you can't hate everyone, just takes a while for you to warm up to them." Aislinn pointed out. She was trying to be kind but she didn't know if this was just going to piss Aux off more, he did seem a little on edge with her at times and she wasn't quite sure how to handle him and talking to him. She never want to make enemies here, so she tried her best but who knew with some of these kids if it would do the trick.

Turning back to the heartless Aislinn was a little bit disappointed that Aux even missed her reference that she was going for and mumbled under her breath. "If one more showed up then it might be a problem. Then that one will be mine." As she did so she launched herself back into battle at the Neoshadows that moved in there swaying jerky movements, all taking their sweet old time attacking, giving Aislinn time to get the upper hand on them. Unleashing a vicious cross slash on one of them she then spun and stabbed the other one through where the heart would be. Planting her keyblade into the ground, Aislinn then used it to vault over another small group of heartless, landing on a shadow before turning around and dealing several blows to the next Neoshadow from behind. That death however was enough to trigger their attention and bring them all to look at her once again. One, Two more went down to her blade before she had a chance to look over or reply to Aux again.

"Oh trust me, I am. If there was anything harder then those stupid floating demons that I was taking out earlier it would be a real pain in the ass." She said taking a deep breath before preparing herself in case anything tried to attack during the moment she took to breath. "Just don't go losing your sanity on me to this guys, or thinking you can go become all soft or anything. I would hate to see these runts break that fighter spirit of yours. After all it makes things so much more interesting." If felt like on odd encouragement, especially since she found that Aux and his personality were quite difficult to deal with. But she meant it as well. While she did believe that he could be a little more pleasant, she didn't actually want him to change all that much. He had a certain passion to him that was very useful in fighting, though he could afford to learn to be a little more helpful to other people. That would just come with time she supposed. He didn't seem to sold on the going to other worlds thing to start with, so it was probably just something unfamiliar to him.

With the there were still a few shadows left ready to attack him and then beyond them even more ready to join the fight. He looked over to see if Aux was ok and the first thing he noticed was he was not there. What the heck Aux he saved his butt and then he went off and left him to die alone. Turned and looked every direction to see where Aux had gone and he spotted a oppening that had opened up and it looked like Aux had just gone through it. He Saw that Aux had charged onto the battlefield without so much as summoning his keyblade. he watched as Aux jumped close to a darkball and held it's chain's slowly pulling it down. He swayed his legs back and forth as he was preparing to gain more momentum. The darkball was not fond of this and began to thrash back and forth to try and shake the man off. He saw that he was near Aislinn through the opening that was up. He turned to follow Aux but before he could the opening that had opened up was now closed. How Aux had not died in the process of leaving him behind was beyond him. He was not to happy with what Aux had done but there was nothing he could do now as Aux by now was long gone. He knew that with Aux gone he did not have to worry about hollowing out the palm tree.

Continuing his defensive stance now that his only way out was gone. He decided that going after some of the bigger heartless might be best. That said he did not think that he had much of a choice in the manner. Picking on the bigger heartless first before bothering with the smaller heartless seemed like the best idea but no matter what ended up happening he was sure to get overwhelmed at some point. He was quite thankful that he somehow had not got himself killed yet. He wished he could be of a little more help to others but with no way of getting to them and no way on them to get him he was and they were out of luck. He knew that he needed to pace herself or he might die faster. slow death or a fast one? He did not think that it was much of a choice. If he was going to deal with the large heartless he could not waste time on the smaller heartless as well. If he tried to do too much at once, he would exhaust himself far too fast and would not be a good thing. There was also the fact he might die. Still only taking out a few heartless at a time was the best option for now.

That being said the little guys in the quantity that they were swarming in could still cause issues if they wanted to. They already were for what he could tell as they were the only ones that kept on coming. When ever he made a move to go after a neoshadow in the distance a shadow to walk in and he would have to take care of the shadow first. It looked like the heartless were not giving him a option on who to fight and there seemed to be deciding for him that it would be the shadows. Having no intention of slowing down against these heartless, he stood his ground agest the heartless that mad his way toward him. They moved forward towards him. With the blade still in hand, the boy began to attack as they came towards him.
