With his MP replenished by Bambi, Hikaru felt reinvigorated, and rolled back his shoulders. Looking across the battleifeld, they managed to put a small dent in their numbers, but there were still many on the horizon. From the looks of things, they had barely managed to eliminate roughly half of the previous population of the heartless wave. He wondered in the back of his mind if they got harder from here, or if the numbers would just continue to rise exponentially. Where would the end of the battle be in hindsight? He tried not to dwell on it, as it would only worry him. And as it was, he already had enough in the back of his mind. He looked behind him, as a couple of neoshadows were making their way up the dock. "Oh no you don't!" Hikaru pointed his blade to the ground and from the tip of his blade, caused bursts of mystical mines to appear around the floor in front of him. The mines acted on their own and began to seek out the neoshadows that were making their way up the dock. Without warning or hesitation the seeker mines rushed against the heartless and began to explode. The first two that exploded knocked the heartless into the air, while the another two managed to make their way under the neoshadow heartless for when they would land.

As the heartless fell back down onto the dock, the seeker mines were ready and waiting for them, as the mines burned brightly, the heartless descending onto them. The explosion caused by the two seeker mines managed to get rid of the rest of the neoshadows, leaving no trace of them left behind. With Hikaru's high magic stat, his earth magic was able to make quick work of the more HP heavy of enemies. With one seeker mine still straggling around, a small shadow heartless was seen at the edge of the dock. With it's target locked on, the seeker mine chased after it. The shadow spotted it and tried to run away, flailing it's arm and legs as it tried to run away, but the seeker mine was still headed straight for it. To help escape it, the shadow sunk into the ground with it's shadow sneak. The seeker mine straggled about, but was still locked onto it's target. With little option left, the shadow heartless tried to slowly phase back to the grounded plain. This sadly was the end for that shadow, as the seeker mine took no time in wasting and blew up directly beneath the shadow, dispersing it from the battlefield.

Another Neoshadow on the horizon from approaching the dock, Hikaru sped down quickly and performed a quick uppercut with his keyblade, jumping into an aerial combo. He slashed away at the neoshadow, staying in the air for what felt like ten seconds, continuously hacking and slashing at it. "You're done!" he yelled as he performed a finishing slash, causing the heartless to vanish. Hikaru landed back on his feet, exhaling as readied his keyblade for any more oncoming threats. Kaida hadn't said anything yet, which was beginning to make him worry. All he could do was deal with the heartless problem around them, instead of fretting too much about the words he had said to her. He looked at the corner of his eye to see Aux, still trying to compose himself next to AJ. He was at risk now of losing his two best friends, making his mind lose focus. He gripped his keyblade tightly, hoping this wouldn't end as horribly as he thought it would in his head.

With no one near him but Aux who still seemed to be in pain there was no way he could help. There was nothing he could think of to help him. He looked around and found himself surrounded by heartless this was it....
...Aux and him were surrounded by heartless and there was not a thing he could do about it. He could fight but how long would that last? If he left now he was no better then if he killed Aux himself. "Aux it is not safe here." Nowhere was safe or if there was there was not one he could see. "Can you move?," he asked Aux, but when he looked at him he could tell he was in to much pain to do anything. "We have to go it is not save here." He walked over to Aux and attempted to move him and only manged to move him a few inches. "This is it." There was no way he was going to be able to fight all the heartless by himself and there was no escape. He guessed that it was better to go out in a fight then any other way. He did not see Aux helping him there was only one option and that was to go out fighting. He was about to summon his keyblade when he noticed that there was not enough room to do so. He spotted Hikaru not to far off next to Kaida in between him and the heartless. Well if he went down at least Hikaru would know that he went down trying to save Aux. That was when the heartless came closer and he could no longer see Hikaru or Kaida. He was sure that they could not see them too. "Welp this is it" It seemed that the universe had other plans because as he said the a large palm tree came flying his way....

... He did say he wished for a tree but this was not what he had in mind. Death by tree just the way he wantted to go. Just as all hope was lost a tree showed up and was flying his way to take him out if the heartless did not get him the tree would so so he thought. As the palm tree came closer he ducked just at the right moment and the palm tree took out a few Neoshadows that were behind him giving him enough room to back up and fight the heartless. He manged to drag Aux along with him to the now on the its side tree. With Aux next to him and the tree behind them he could at least fight. At this time he was able to see just how large the tree was. He had never had seen a tree so large before, well one that was so round. He might be able to hollow it out and stick Aux in there. The other option was to leave him out in the open. He was ready to go out fighting to die trying. As he looked out to the heartless that where in making there way towards them it was like a wave of darkness and he still could not see past them to see Hikaru or Kaida. Were they really going to fight all these heartless? He did not know how they were going to do it. At least he knew Kaida was here. He knew that he could not keep the heartless off of him and Aux forever without help. Hoping for another tree just was not going to work.

Stratos continued his advance through the heartless, stopped by yet another Neo shadow. Looking at it, the neo shadow seemed to have a darker, red color to it, and was far more light on its feet then the others. Leaping towards Stratos, the neo shadow moved with much greater speed then the other ones, catching Stratos off guard. Barely being able to keep up with this creature, Stratos just barely managed to put his keyblade up to defend against the attack. The blade managed to push the claws away from its original intended target area, though the attack still managed to force its way past his guard and strike him in the shoulder. Wincing in pain, the boy attempted to back off from the creature when it went to rake at him with yet another one of its claws. Being able to see the attack coming at him more clearly this time, the boy managed to fall backward, dodging rolling backwards to avoid the attack. When the claw had struck empty air, however, with impossible flexibility the neo shadow then flipped towards the boy, kicking him with both of its dark born feet. It pushing off of him and he being pushed by the attack, the distance between the neo shadow and Stratos had increased.

Getting back onto his feet, the boy thought about the opponent before him, wondering how exactly this neo shadow seemed to be stronger than all of the others so far. Thinking about it, he didn't recall seeing anything like this in the initial horde, though given how many there were it was entirely possible that he missed it. Even still, the creature still looked different and out of place, making Stratos wonder if it was either a different breed of neo shadow entirely, or if it had somehow absorbed the power of the other shadows around it. Regardless, it didn't change the fact that it was the opponent Stratos was squaring off with now and he had to stop them. While normally he would just think to use his Zantetsuken, there was a part of him that didn't want to have to fall back on that technique every time the goings got rough. Instead, he felt like using all the other techniques that he had accrued across his journey. So, taking a deep breath, the boy tightened the grip around his blade, getting ready to see just what the neo shadow was about to do, as he attempted to figure out how to deal with the shadow.

As the creature pounced at him, Stratos dodged to the side again, avoiding the first slash of the shadow's claw. Bending its other arm around to try and attack the boy, he managed to cleanly guard against the other attack. Stepping forward, he tried to slash against the Neo Shadow, but its body had bent unnaturally sharply to avoid the attack. Jumping back away from Stratos, the boy wasn't ready to just let the pressure end on this creature and leaped after him. With Ice imbuing his blade, he struck the creature twice, before slamming it back to the ground with a third empowered slash. Landing back on the ground, he then went to end the shadows life. One slash following into another, each attack flowing into a rhythm with each slash managing to take off more chunks of the shadow. At the end of his slashes, the boy hopped into the air, pounding his sword into the ground causing a shockwave to force the Neo Shadow up off the ground. Now in the air, the boy slashed at it a few more times before letting loose one last powerful swing of it, finishing his combo. As the creature was felled, it exploded into a large puff of darkness, leaving nothing behind of what it once was.

Ignis had met up with Kel and Luna and tried to make sure they were okay, but the hoards of heartless didn't seem to appreciate that. As Ignis tried to help Luna out, she got knock from behind by a darkball. She went flying face first into the sand with her mouth still open. Dragging across the ground she got sand in her mouth and got up, mouth hanging open and sand falling out like a waterfall. Although in this case "sandfall" would be the more appropriate term. She looked back over her shoulder toward the darkball that hit her. At first she was only irritated by being hit from behind, but for some reason the thing looked like it was grinning at her and jumping around like it was happy that it managed to knock her down. A couple other darkball surrounded Ignis while she was lying on the ground and thought it was a good idea to gang up on her. She was about to teach them that it was a very bad idea to think such a thing.

Figuring that she'd take it out on the heartless that hit her first, she ran over to it and slammed her keyblade into its face, sending it flying around like a balloon that lost air. The heartless didn't appreciate it, and bounced around angrily. At that point the three darkballs flew at Ignis, mouths chomping at anything in their path. She thrust her keyblade into the mouth of one of them and swung it to the side, slamming it into another of the darkballs and jumped up and kicked the third one into the wall. At least that disappeared, so she only had a handful more to deal with. Then she noticed that there were puffs of smoke floating around her and before she could react, the darkballs popped out of thin air, releasing an explosion of some kind of dark energy or something. Ignis put up her guard as best she could and took the hit, being sent back a little. With that, she lit up her keyblade with flames and swung it horizontally, hitting a handful of the heartless with a giant burst of flame and sent them reeling. Some of them disappeared after the single hit while others did that weird "deflating balloon" thing again. She figured she would pay back the one that hit her before with a punch back, and jumped toward it, plowing her fist into its face. The darkball flew back into the ground between a couple other darkballs and after a few seconds, blew up, taking the others with them. Ignis was starting to enjoy having the aura she had taken, being able to deal better fire damage. While she wasn't great with magic, it certainly made her skills that much better. Soon enough there were only 2 darkballs left to deal with.

One could almost look at the heartless and think they were worried, but maybe that was just Ignis's hopeful imaginings. One rushed her, teeth chomping, and she just thrust hey keyblade through its head, causing it to disappear. As she readied herself to get rid of the last darkball that had ganged up on her, the heartless turned into smoke again. As it got close, Ignis tried to jump back from the explosion, but as she jumped back, she fell to the ground, finding a couple shadows grabbing her leg. At that point she was lying face down in the sand again, getting another mouthful of "disgusting". She was getting annoyed by all the attempts to mess with her by these buys and knocked the shadows away from her feet with sheet strength, and threw her keyblade at them, causing them to disperse. As the smoke from the darkball got closer, Ignis jumped out of the way again, this time getting distance and dodging the explosion. As she landed, she brought her keyblade down on the heartless, causing it to disappear as well.

After that was done, she realized she was feeling sand in her mouth and couldn't help herself but try to spit out any bit of sand still stuck inside. She looked over to Kel and Luna, with a few tears from squinting her eyes.
"Guys, please tell me you have a way to get sand out of your mouth. This stuff is disgusting."

Moving through the hordes of heartless, the boy next turned his attention towards a singular shadow that seemed to be moving away from all the others. Thinking it was easy pickings, Stratos merely spun his keyblade around and tossed it towards the creature, attempting to fell it instantly. The heartless, however, saw this coming, and merely dove back into the shadows underneath the ground. Calling the blade back to him, Stratos looked partially annoyed as the shadow had managed to avoid his attack, and started looking to where the creature was crawling to. As his gaze managed to follow the creature of darkness's travels, he got ready to repeat the same process as the heartless brought itself back up onto the ground above. Tossing his spinning keyblade at the creature, this time the blade missed its mark as a neo shadow had appeared out from the ground, uppercutting his blade with a simple strike of its claw. Sending the blade wild and away from him, Stratos merely focused and called his blade back to his hand. With the weapon now back in his possession, he looked at the neo shadow free willy cat and simply said, "I see." This realization was then only more punctuated as the smaller shadow was suddenly surrounded by two more neo shadows, both of them seeming to want to strike at Stratos.

With the three Neo Shadows charging at him, Stratos knew that he'd have to deal with them quickly, or else he'd be simply overwhelmed by their speed and numbers. With the first charging at him from his left, Stratos swiveled to the right, bringing up his blade to parry the attack away and shove the neo shadow away. Dodging rolling forward, he avoided the next attack, coming from the opposite side. While the neo shadow had designed to rake its claw against Stratos's back, the boy's evasive maneuvers had caused the attack to hit nothing but thin air. Looking back, there was only one more that was charging at him, spinning vertically like a bladed wheel towards him. Stratos was somewhat confused as to how it was able to keep itself off the ground, but didn't think it mattered all that much. Instead, he merely spun his keyblade in his hand, tossing it at the neo shadow. The two spinning forces cancelled each other out, causing the blade to fly away from the creature and the heartless itself to stop in its tracks. Summoning the weapon back to his hand, Stratos ran towards the creature, sliding with a dash towards it and cleaving through the neo shadow instantly.

As the first of the heartless were destroyed, the other two vaulted towards Stratos. Without much effort, the boy got back onto his feet, striking the air twice swiftly in an X formation. The cross exploded in a violent force, blasting the two neo shadows away and killing them instantly. Looking towards his intial shadow taregt, Stratos began to move towards that, only for two more neo shadows to vault at him from behind. Sighing in annoyance, the boy dodged backwards, rolling underneath the leaping neo shadows, before getting back onto his feet. With both of the enemies in front of him now, the keyblade master focused on the two before him, causing cherry blossoms to fall from the sky. As they did, time seemed to come to a stand still, and in a single instant Stratos had appeared beyond both the neo shadows and the regular one. With a slash mark appearing across both of them, they both exploded into darkness leaving nothing behind.

Several dark orbs began to form around Hikaru in the air, their bright yellow eyes glowing intensely in the dark setting. The chains hanging off their bodies as the circular bodies made their way towards him, their jaws opened wide as if their teeth were cutting through the air. Making a mad dash towards him, the darkballs began chomping and gnawing away as they approached Hikaru. Thinking quickly, he quickly held up his keyblade to parry, in time for him to deter a few of the darkballs. One managed to make it's way through and did a quick gnawing bit of damage, causing Hikaru to be pushed back to the wall. As he was, he could feel the dock around him begin to creak. All the damage the realm of darkness had done seemed to make the place a little unstable to stand on. It seemed sturdy enough that it shouldn't cause any worry, but it still took him by surprise. Hikaru pushed himself off the wall and jumped off the dock's edge, making good opportunity in taking out the darkball as it was caught off guard. Once he was in the air, he quickly dashed towards the darkball and began to hack and slash away at it. With all this aerial combat, a thought crossed his mind to summon Dumbo or maybe Baymax. Bambi was still on the field however, so he would have to make do with some simple hit and run methods for the time being. He didn't want to use his magic to often either, so he would have to use it sparingly.

As he dispersed darkball, he remained in the air and quickly jumped on top of one of the other darkballs' head. It felt like he was balancing on a bouncy rubber ball. An odd sensation considering he was still trying to keep himself balanced. He used his arms to retain his balance as he watched the other darkballs hover around him. The darkball he was standing on did not seem amused as it was quickly twitching and glitching all over the place to get him off. He fell flat on the darkball's head to hang on until the darkball would stop. Once it did, he quickly rose to his feet and used the top of the darkballs to hop from heartless to heartless before attacking a stray darkball, dispersing it. It was definitely a strange technique to use his enemies to stay float by jumping on their heads, but it seemed to be a useful tactic.

He used his keyblade to jump in the air. Slow motion style, he swung his keyblade like a baseball bat and hit one of the darkballs into the others. He cast quick blizzaga spell to cover a large area, watching them freeze inn the air. The ones that weren't immediately eliminated began slowly falling. Before they fell too far, Hikaru jumped from darkball to darkball to catch them before they all fell. In quick succession he slashed each darkball, cutting and swiping through the air to get all of them. He managed to dispersed all the frozen darkballs his hit, watching as the leftover ice shards fell to the ground like crystal rain. Landing back on the dock, he looked onward, as more darkballs began to form. He held up his blade, sighing. They floated around as if waiting for him to act, but he wanted to keep his ground. If he went out too far, they would most likely summon more of themselves to ambush. Hikaru wanted to play this battle smart. He would make his efforts count.

Seeing as the heartless were now a few feet away he could tackle the palm tree. He turned around and faced the palm tree. He started giving the palm tree a few good kicks. Bark started chipping off. At one point he started feeling pain in his foot but after some time it was almost like he could not feel any more. It was going to take forever to hollow out this palm tree enough to hide Aux in it. A Neoshadow came up behind him and he did not see it. Moving to the side just at the right moment the Neoshadow went fast first into the tree taking some bark with it. The Neoshadow then turned and faced him. He still did not have his keyblade summoned so he could not use that for the moment. The Neoshadow then lunged at him and he gave it a good kick sending it back into the palm tree. Then then continued giving it a few more kicks until the thing disappeared. He then looked at Aux "are you doing ok? Do you have any ideas?" He looked back forward and heartless were still coming. Looking down and spotted a large piece of bark. Well bark was better then not using any weapon at all. He still did not want to risk summoning his keyblade as he might hurt Aux with the heartless being so close. He then bent over and picked up the bark. Looking at the heartless that were coming he threw the sharp piece of bark toward the heartless like a throwing knife except sideways. He guessed it was more like a frisbee then a knife throw. With some of the heartless dealt with he looked back at the tree. Why did it have to be a healthy one. A dead palm tree would have been a easier tree to hollow out. That said when has anything been easy other then some parts of the mark of mastery. One tree was better then no tree he thought. It was hard to say if there was still 10'000 heartless or not as there were still so many. He knew that by this point he got ride of 20 or so maybe. It was like a penny in the way to a million.

He was not sure how much longer he could keep this fighting up. It seemed that he would just have to live long enough to fight on his own. He would fight until he was dead or this was over. He was hoping it would be the second option but it was not like it was his choice. It had to be a large battle still as to not have run across anyone else. Knowing Aux he would have said something to the effect of they left him to die or something. He gave a look to Aux who probably would have said that whole thing if he was not in so much pain. He still did not know if he could help him or not. He had no idea on how to stop the pain other then knocking him out which was not a option. He tunred back to the tree and pick up a piece of bark and started using it as a chipper to hollow it out. That was when a Darkball came up over the tree and there were still heartless behind him blocking his view of Hikaru or Kaida. He looked up and saw the darkball. Welp this was not good. using the bark chipper he used it as a wepond and brought to toward the darkball with a scream.

With most of the darkballs kept far at bay, Hikaru looked behind him as more shadows had formed in his short absence. At least couple dozen from the looks of things. Keeping his keyblade straight and vertical, Hikaru began to slash away at the shadows. He ran forward and just slashed at the small little heartless buggers without overthinking for once. When it came to the weakest form of heartless, dealing quick physical damage seemed to be the best method in defeating them. But one thing this species of heartless had on them is that they always traveled in larger numbers. As he watched more and more shadows head toward him, he could feel himself becoming a little concerned and possibly overwhelmed. He continued slashing away at them, defeating several heartless at a time, but the shadows continued to increase in numbers, eventually swarming him as they hopped onto his back. He felt the heartless squirming and twitching on his back, getting more and more uncomfortable from the sensation. He jumped into the air, preparing to fall on his back. He made sure to keep his elbows in and knees elevated so he would create as large an impact as needed to get rid of the shadow heartless. He managed to create a large slam that crushed the heartless on his back, dispersing it. Not only that, but he managed to create enough of a shockwave, that it caused the heartless that were overwhelming him to scatter and give him a better distance to reprise from the overwhelming force.

Though they were small and weak, the amount of sheer numbers on their side alone was a scary thought. He began to swing his keyblade in bursts of 180 degrees slashes. He wanted to cover a wider range so they wouldn't be able to overtake him like that again. He watched from the corners of his eyes to make sure all the shadows were within his line of sight. He kept his eyes and stance vigilant so he would keep himself composed. He breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth, watching them carefully. Several of them went into the ground for their signature shadow sneak attack, allowing Hikaru to quick slash away at several of the shadows that had yet to go underground. This allowed him to divide his efforts and help keep his enemies to attack in smaller bursts. He watched around his feet to see the rest of the shadows crawl under him as if he was standing on an interactive painting. The masses of dark moving around before they resurfaced in their primary forms. Grinding his blade along the ground, he slashed upwards to knock back a few shadows before slashing away at the ones that were closest to him. He managed to knock back several, while eliminating others.

He reset his stance and prepared himself for the return of the shadow heartless that he had just recently knocked back. The shadows twitched and jumped overhead preparing to slash. Preparing for their attack, Hikaru slashed at the air, dispersing more heartless and knocking back the others. He looked around him to ensure more heartless hadn't snuck up on him while he was taking care of the shadows. Getting the all clear from himself, he turned back to the shadows and slashed at the knocked back ones he had left on the ground, turning them into nothing more than puffs of smoke. He nodded as he readied his stance once more, watching as one of the straggling shadows began to run away. "Oh no you don't!" He quickly ran a few meters before jumping into the air and slamming his keyblade into the ground. The impact took care of the shadow heartless with so much as a second inspection.

After being surrounded by a bunch of evil dark balloons being smacked around to the ground, not too mention having multiple explosions in her face, Ignis was already done with this giant mess of heartless. And they still have plenty left to go too. She didn't want to think about all the nonsense that was going to happen later on. And as if on cue, some Neoshadows popped out of nowhere in front of Ignis and spun around, knocking her further away again. She flew through the air for a second and then landed in the middle of a small little pond between the torn part of the island and a messed up shack. The only upside to what just happened was that the water seemed to wash out the leftover sand that was still stuck in her mouth. The downside was that she was pretty sure it was down her throat, and she did not enjoy having water and sand forced down. She almost started feeling like a punching bag to these heartless too, given how much they were tossing her around. At this point she wondered if it was going to be a back and forth of her blowing things up with fire and them knocking her around. There was a pretty good chance of her just wanting to burn the whole island if that kept up. Ignis tried to get up, but the blow seemed to have hit her harder than she thought. When she got up, the world began to spin a little and she lost her balance.

The Neoshadows on the other hand didn't seem to feel like waiting. Three more joined the one from earlier and leaped at Ignis as she was dealing with her dizziness and spun around more, slamming themselves into her and knocking her against the wall. Some shadows also felt like joining in on the fun as a few come out from under the water and jumped on top of her, pinning her down. Getting tired of being held down by Shadows of all things, she flipped her gripped on her keyblade and spun it around, knocking some Shadows out of existence and a few others flying into the Neoshadows. Ignis noticed a broken walkway above her, and leaped up to it, trying to get the high ground and catching her breath. The heartless didn't agree with that, as they melted into the ground and then popped out of the wall from behind Ignis. She quickly ducked as they jumped out of the wall, and she tossed her keyblade, knocking two Neoshadows out. Unfortunately, the other two and the shadows felt like keeping up the attack, as they disappeared into the ground again. She figured they would try and attack her from the wall behind her again, so she jumped into the air and watched as they came out of their little dark portals. She charged her keyblade with some fire and brought it down on a few unsuspecting heartless, taking out four shadows and knocking back the rest of the bunch. With all of the heartless lined up nice and pretty on the deck for her though, Ignis slid forward and struck all of the heartless in one, basically making a heartless-kabob. The last two Shadows puffed away and the Neoshadows were dazed from the move. Ignis felt better gettng payback from earlier, and struck the two Neoshadows with her keyblade, causing them both to disappear as well. She felt better getting payback on them, but there was also the hope that she wasn't going to get knocked around again right after dealing with this bunch. If she was lucky, maybe she could get some backup from the others, but they were all scattered, and even she had gotten separated from Luna and Kel after only just reaching them.

After using the bark chipper he used it as a weapon and brought to toward the darkball with a scream. He looked on to the heartless. He knew now that there was no way anyone was going to come and help him there just were to many for him to get away with Aux. There were also to many for anyone to get to him. It looked like he was just going to be stuck here until he died or the battle was over. He hatted thing about what would have happened if he took the portal to the island. They probably would have walked state into a trap. He was sure that had he gone through the portal it most likely would have much, much worse. It looked over to Aux from his palm tree which at this point a a hole big enough to fit his pinky in. By the time the hole was big enough for Aux to fit in he would probably would be dead. "Well It looks like a am the only recuse party you will be getting. Sorry to disappoint." He was sure that if anyone tried to get to Aux and him they would be kill just by the large numbers. He knew that it was not worth it. He tried to save Aux and it looked like he was going to fail to. Well no time like the present. "I will go down fighting. Before you say anything Aux I am not leaving. Even if I wanted to I would be dead before I made it five feet." He stood in a defensive position. He was going to give it his all here he had to. He knew that if something happened to Aux, Hikaru would never forgive him. At this moment he remembered his promise that he told Aux right before they got teleported. A promise to himself that he would not let what happened on his homeworld happen to someone else or to another world. So far he had not been that successful at this but he was not about to give up.

He knew that this battle was going to prove a challenge of wills and stamina. This battle was not like anything that they had done before and he hoped that he would live a long life. He also hoped that there was not going to be another battle of this scale again. This was just a pipe dream tho. He knew it was just going to get harder before it got any easier. He knew the easy thing to do at this point was to give up. He was not about to do that knowing full well Aux would not lest that long if he died. How much time was left he had no idea nor did he know if he was going to last that long. Doing his best to stay in a defensive position with heartless still all around him that were in the area. it would be a miracle if he somehow lived through all off this. He set his eyes and sights on the countless shadows in front of him. At this point he was just going to have to use the palm park as a makeshift knife. As the shadows moved towards him he would give them a good wack. That was when a Neoshadow rose out of nowhere up in front of him. This one was purple in color and he could tell was different then the ones he had fought so far. it was smart and was staying back at bit. This was just perfect.

Beuce maneuvered through as many heartless as he could, cutting them down one by one. He decided he'd currently focus primarily on the shadows, so as to thin their numbers down as much as he could. Individually, they weren't so much of a threat, but through their sheer numbers they threatened to overwhelm the new masters. Beuce would do all he could to keep that from happening. He focused inward on himself and draw out another new power. Similarly to when he transformed into one of his various jobs, a light began to envelope him. However, unlike other times, this light was a dark purple mixed with black. When he emerged, his outfit was far darker in color and had armored aspects to it. His hair had grown dimmer, and unlike all of his other jobs, his keyblade remained unchanged. A shadow popped out of freakin nowhere from the ground like some kinda crazy guy with a knife on the street that could meld into the ground. However, it scratched him to seemingly very little effect.

Beuce turned to the shadow and produced a black flame in his hand, throwing it and instantly evaporating his aspiring attacker. However, as soon as he'd done so, he winced in pain. "Well damn, is that what using the darkness is like?" It felt like the force inside him that was giving him power also ate away at his inside every time he used it. Thankfully, it replaced it could be replaced just as fast as it was taken away. Multiple shadows swarmed him and swiped and clawed at him over and over, but their attacks were so weak, they barely got through his resistances to the darkness. In addition...Being struck seemed to caused the darkness inside to strengthen and rejuvenate his body in response, so as to not allow its host to fall when it still needed their life to function. "Man, this stuff is dangerous... It takes your blood and dries you up, but gives you just enough to keep kicking." He said, apparently given a newfound understanding of the way darkness functioned when wielded in combat. He reached out his glass arm, which was now more vibrant in some areas and darker in others so as to accentuate the images on it. He grabbed a shadow by the head and drew the life out of it to heal himself. The shadow squirmed and struggled, but to now avail.

Now revitalized, he decided he'd spend it once again. Spinning his keyblade to the magic end, he called down a mighty barrage of black and purple lightning. "Dark Thundaga!" As the spell hit the ground, it exploded with a far more violent force than a normal thundaga would. Apparently, darkness was malleable and could be used to augment almost any other element, but the more he used it, the more apparent its drawbacks became. Both physically and mentally it was incredibly taxing to use. However, Beuce was no stranger to exhaustion, and while it wouldn't work on the more powerful enemies, the shadows proved to be all but unable to harm him in this form. He drained the life out of another shadow to keep himself sustained, as he seemed to be doing more damage to himself than the heartless were to him. He'd change out of this form shortly, but for now, he wanted to test the limits of what this new job they'd obtained was able to do. Besides, he'd have other things to do down the line.

More shadow heartless began to form in front of Hikaru as a small group began to rush their way onto the dock. Holding up his keyblade firmly, he slashed away at the targets. One after the other, he slashed through them as he did with all the ones that attacked before. The shadows were starting to creep up along the edge of the dock. Climbing with their tiny fragile bodies as if they were preparing to storm a castle. Hikaru kept looking back and forth from the heartless on the edge, and the ones attacking him from the front. "Oh come on!" he yelled. He slashed through two heartless at once, knocking them back before he charged in and dispersed them with his keyblade. He quickly raced to the edge and peered his head over to see what the observation report would entail. He shouldn't have been in such a rush to look over the edge, as three shadow heartless jumped onto him and caught him off guard. He held his keyblade in front of his face, but they had already jumped and and were trying to claw at him through his keyblade. Hikaru distanced himself from his blade as the shadow heartless continued to claw and gaze at him with their bright eyes. Hikaru took the keyblade with the heartless on them and whacked it against the wall to try and get rid of them with the sheer impact from hitting it against the wall. After a couple of hits to the wall, the heartless eventually released themselves from gripping the keyblade and began to scatter. Not looking where he was stepping, he actually managed to step on one of the weaker ones and eliminated it.

Chasing after the ones that were scattering, he quickly jumped into action and slashed the keyblade overhead to slam down onto one ofthe escaping heartless. The shadow had already gone into it's shadow sneak mode and began to scurry around much to his dismay. Hikaru grunted as he looked around for more present enemies. He managed to find a few stragglers trying to jump off the edge, but took out his keyblade and pointed it straight at them. He fired a powerful Blizzaga spell, freezing half of them in place and eliminating the other half. The ones he had frozen he rushed in after so they would not defrost before he got there. He whipped his keyblade back and thwacked the ice chunks to the wall, shattering them and eliminating the shadows he caught in the ice spell. More hsard of crystal ice rained over him and scattered on the ground as he looked around for any more stragglers. He sighed in relief for a moment as the dock had been cleared for the moment. He looked over the dock to see how the others were doing. With the exceptions of Steel, Ananta and Aux, everyone seemed to be battling on and holding their own to boot.

As he looked onward, Bambi came into view and began to happily prance about him as if the small deer didn't have a care in the world. Small bubble of mana began to fall around Hikaru as he absorbed them and began feeling the bubbles' replenishing properties. Thankfully for him because all the Blizzaga spells he was casting were beginning to decrease his MP rapidly. "Thanks Bambi," he said, petting the back of the deer's ear. The deer liked this, as he continued to hop away, supplying more MP bubbles for the rest of the party. As Hikaru watched on, he stood by Kaida and braced himself for another onslaught.

Stratos continued his persisting tempo against the neo shadows he had found himself exclusively fighting. The creatures were certainly different than most of the others that he had fought up to this point. Most heartless tended to rely on either sheer numbers to get through their opponent or overwhelming power. There were also the few that had magic themselves, but, those still tended to fall into the other categories. These neo shadows, however, seemed to put an emphasis on speed, flexibility and patience. Though their attacks were wild and erratic in terms of aesthetics, they still had a hunters stance about them before they went into the fray and their wild attacks were far more patient and measured then one would expect. Probably because they had the speed and reflexes to keep up with their thoughts that they were able to do such things. All in all, Neo Shadows were certainly tough customers when it came to fights. Getting ready to start up the next phase of his charge through this horde, Stratos saw the figures of the Neo shadows start to move towards him, signaling that they wanted a piece of him as well. With a sigh, the boy merely spun his keyblade around and prepped himself for the coming quintet of heartless.

With the neo shadows advancing on his position, the boy back away from the attacks coming at him dodge rolling away from the first of the pounces by the neo shadows. With his blade in hand, the boy then parried the next claw attack of the second one that pounced at him, only to then see a third spinning at him. It's body was parallel to the ground, horizontally spinning like a bladed pinwheel at him. Jumping of the creature, Stratos avoided the attack, only for the fourth one to immediately pounce at him. Sloppily trying to guard against it while in mid-air, the boy managed to deflect the attack, but was slammed to the ground as the claw had pushed him in that direction. Having to pick himself up fast, Stratos rolled on his side to avoid the first of the neo shadows that had pounced at him again. He sprung back to his feet in time to guard against two of them slashing at him with their claws again, blocking the attack entirely but being forced backwards. The fourth one then spun at him from the air, having a vertical spin to their attack. Stratos was starting to get a bit overwhelmed by these pact tactics, and with no magic to use, it wasn't like he was able to pluck it out of the sky.

Still with brute force he would overcome these numbers, and so with a swift cross slash he had managed to stop the one spinning at him. The attack had managed to decimiate the first of the neo shadows, yet the other three were now trying to make their way to exploit this opening he had created. His body crackled with yellow lightning as they approached, and spinning his keyblade around, his body moved faster than it normally would have. Charging head first into the swarm of neo shadows, he let out a flurry of slashes towards the closest one, the speed at which he did it catching the other two off guard. Pivoting, he tossed his keyblade at what, skewering it in the head while turning around to simply punch the other. Summoning the keyblade back to his hand, he dashed at the one he had punched, cutting it through as he followed through with one final slash. Looking to the side, he saw a black lightning bolt strike one of the shadows, and though it was impressive it seemed to be quite taxing on the person who used it. So, dashing it, with a few slashes towards some of the stray shadows, Stratos said, "having some trouble there buddy?"

The shadows crept along the ground as more continued to swarm the part of the dock that Hikaru and Kaida remained on. One after the other, the shadows jumped up and down, preparing to claw their way through Hikaru's defenses. For what felt like a good twenty seconds, Hikaru kept his keyblade and guard position and continued parrying their attacks. Every time a shadow jumped to attack, their dark claws hit the side of his keyblade, bouncing them back in a flail-like motion. Hikaru placed one foot behind him as the shadows continued to parry, making sure he stood his ground so that the repetitive attacking wouldn't overtake him and knock he himself back. Waiting for a prime opportunity, he seized his moment as the shadows stopped jumping. With swift vertical slashes, Hikaru went to work and began mowing down the shadows with his keyblade. Slicing through them as if they were blades of grass, he persistently continued his motion without letting up. As far as he was concerned, he could continue the battle like this when it came to the smaller heartless. Then again, doing the same tactic over and over would get repetitive and boring real quick. Plus, even if he continued with that tactic, there's always the possibility that they could sneak under him and catch him by surprise. Though they didn't do much damage to him, they could still pose a threat if enough of them teamed up on him. Not to mention, their more powerful counterparts; the neoshadows, proved that they were stronger and had longer range.

Hikaru slashed at the shadows until he could see no more and stopped for a moment. Before the next wave came, he looked over the dock again at Aux. His friend was at this point slowly getting to his feet, holding his aching head. He knew Aux had questions, and deserved answers, and Hikaru knew he couldn't spend every minute thinking about what to say... But he still thought about it. While he was in thought, a small shadow caught him by surprise and attacked his shin. He winced slightly in pain and looked back at the shadow who was as mindless as ever. He took his keyblade and pushed the shadow heartless off before slashing it with a quick combo. It was moments like those that were beginning to bother him. The enemy's numbers were beginning to grow to such a rate, that he could barely have moment to think to himself before the enemy began their next assault.

Watching as a few more were on the horizon, he took his keyblade and pointed forward. Bracing his legs, he performed a quick Aqua Splash spell and began to cascade the shadows with bursts of pressured water. He continued to walk forward slowly as he rained the water over them, watching the sheer pressure from the water do it's job to damage them. While it did indeed knock back most of them, the shadows that got closer to him were immediately eliminated. It felt weird defeating enemies like this. As if he was holding a reverse flamethrower and destroying them with something as simple as water. Regardless, he continued his spell before the water that emerged from the keyblade eventually subsided. Most of the heartless were either pushed off or dealt with. It felt like he had just cleared the rain gutter of leaves. Defeating the smaller heartless were more and more beginning to feel to him like a chore. He sighed as we watched down below. More were already on the horizon and began climbing up the walls like his efforts didn't matter much.

It felt as if everything was moving in slow motion. Silence filled the air. Was this the end? Luna's eyes remained shut as she awaited the Invisble to make their move. A second, 30 seconds, a minute had passed by and still no attack. She opened her eyes and saw the Invisble vanquished by Kel. "K-Kel?" A sigh of relief had left her mouth. She immediately dropped to the ground. She placed both hands on the sand. "Are you okay?" Luna said nothing for a couple moments. After another minute had passed, she spoke up. "I-I'm fine. I just don't know what happened. It was as if my body didn't want to listen to me. Thank you for the rescue though." Luna slowly got back up. She dusted off the sand that had got on her before grabbing her blade again. Ignis had ran over to the two. "You guys doing alright?" Luna nodded and spoke. "We're fine. Thank you. Let's just focus our attention on ridding these heartless!" Luna ran ahead of the two and toward a group of 10 shadows. Crystals formed around her as she dashed toward the shadows. The barrier around vanquished 7 of the shadows in that group. Once the barrier fell, Luna began to strike at the remaining three shadows. One by one they had fallen by Luna's blade. A Darkball had begun charging at her. She then began to charge at it, blade in hand. She readied her keyblade and sliced through the Darkball. Another Darkball had made their way toward her. She jumped up and landed on top of it. She sliced through the Darkball and landed back onto the sand. Ignis had called out to her and Kel once more, with a small predicament on her hands. "Guys, please tell me you have a way to get sand out of your mouth. This stuff is disgusting." Luna scratched her head for a moment before answering Ignis. "Unfortunately, I don't have an answer. I'm sorry!" Luna ran over to a small little pool-like area as a waterfall was flowing into said area. Another group of shadows had emerged from the water. She stopped in her tracks before looking back forth between the water and the water fall. After a few moments, an idea had struck her. "I got it!" She took a couple steps back before she casted a spell below her feet. "Wind carry my feet! Aeroga!" The wind immediately shot her up into the air. Luna looked below as she went over the shadows. She began aiming and a blue light emerged at the tip of her blade. "Let the very water you're standing on be your undoing! Freeze!!" Ice immediately shot out from her blade and toward the water. Spikes of ice emerged from the water, piercing through the shadows one by one. Luna used one of the ice spikes to slide down it and get her back onto the ground. Once she got back onto the ground, she immediately swiped her keyblade to her right, causing the ice to become water once again. She turned to the waterfall and bowed slightly. "Thank you for helping me in my time of need, Artemis. Please continue to guide my blade." Luna turned back toward the battle and ran back into it.

Beuce looked over as stratos had come to offer a hand, defeating several shadows along the way. "Well, I wouldn't really so much say trouble, but this whole darkness thing really takes it out of you, ya know? In any case. I appreciate the hand." He said, honestly glad to see that Stratos was now directly fighting the same foes he was, as opposed to another section of the horde. Stratos appeared appeared to have not used any magic in a while, and as soon as he'd stepped close to him, Beuce could feel his muscles surge with power. Best he could surmise, Stratos was using Soldier. That was new. It was also a tad ironic, given that he used to view stratos as weak. Not in the sense of combat prowess so much as raw physical strength. "We've come a long way, haven't we?" He said, remembering their battles past. They were masters now, and they didn't need to hide behind anyone any longer.

Beuce ran into several shadows and brandished his keyblade, filling it with darkness and slashing over and over, performing a massive combo. It helped him regain his lost mana, allowing him to cast more spells. In addition, it seemed doubly empowered by both his blade aura and the darkness from his Dark Knight job. The blade ripped through the ranks of the shadows like they were made of paper. "This is getting a little exhausting. I'll save this for one of the bigger guys. You know, one of those guys with the tendril faces that Kuma one shot at the beginning of the fight." He gave one last dark thundaga to destroy a large horde of shadows and went out of his dark knight form, returning to his usual non-edgy attire.

Now that he no longer had to worry about the burdens of the darkness draining his health away every time he thought about attacking, he was free to go on the offensive a little bit more. A green light washed over him as he flashed a quick cure spell to top himself off, and he returned to business as usual. Throwing a spinning keyblade toward a nearby shadow, it dodge it by melding into the ground. Honestly, Beuce found these particular heartless more annoying than actually threatening, but the others had been dealing with the bigger ones, and someone had to make sure they didn't get out of hand with their sheer numbers. Although with the arrival of Stratos, the shadow and neoshadow populations had seemingly merged into one, as opposed to before where they only slightly mingled together.

One of the red ones, seemingly a stronger breed of neoshadows, came charging at him. Quickly darting from side to side in a zigzag pattern, making its movements had to predict. Once it had reached him, it went to swipe. Beuce moved to slash at it ahead of time and at the very least knock it away before the blow connected, but it stopped its attack short, leaped backwards, and lunged forward once again, managing to rake its claws along Beuce's left shoulder. "Gah, these things are way worse to fight than the little ones." He decided he wasn't going to win in a battle of outright speed, as even with his blade aura enhancing his swordsmanship, it was simply faster than he was, and possessed the intellect, or at least combat instincts, to use it to its advantage. Turning his keyblade around to the blue and, he aimed a firaga spell at it. It dodged out of the way initially, but their magic often had a way of finding its target regardless, and curved its path to crash into the agile heartless.

Good, Kel was able to fend off the Invisible and defeat it. That was good, she didn't have to worry about the big guys popping up anymore, though there were plenty of smaller heartless to deal with. During the period of time that Aislinn used to catch her breath and just breath a little bit, it seemed more people had gotten over their shock and finally joined in the battle. It wasn't that they were slow to join or anything, and Aislinn didn't hold it against them, but she had been jumping around so much already that it just took her by surprise to be noticing that people were just now joining in on the battle. That being said they were more than pulling their weight in order to keep up with the rest of them, meanwhile Stratos was bouncing between heartless like there was no tomorrow. Was there an end to this boy's energy? Like what sort of food did these people feed him, the way he kept moving, kept fighting was incredible and Aislinn didn't think many people could compare to that, though she could sure as hell at least try to keep up a little bit. She might have been new but she was no push over.

Like a scene out of a video game the Neoshadows rose up around her while Another Side, Another Story played through the air around her. While the song was slow at first it was enough as Aislinn stood up straight her eyes glancing over the heartless that were rising up around her. There movements were slow as they swayed side to side, all preparing to attack in unison if they could manage it. The first jumped and that send Aislinn spinning, her keyblade flying out around as it made purchase with the body of the first heartless. Two more jumped at her but with another slash she managed to take the second one out before barely managing to dodge roll her way out of the thirds attack. Rolling back onto her feet, Aislinn wasted no time with the on slaughter of her own attacks, her hits going from one target to the next, back and forth over and over again until both the Neoshadows turned to mist around her. Four more still swarmed around her as small Shadow Heartless started to join their much larger brethren in the attacks on her. It was a mistake that would soon lead to their deaths. With one slash Aislinn managed to send the first Shadow flying at a Neoshadow. However before the Neoshadow could brutalize the poor creature, Aislinn rushed forward at the two, piercing her keyblade through both heartless at once. As she did so another heartless jumped at her from behind. With no other choice Aislinn was forced to take the hit, but that didn't stop her, not yet anyways.

With the hit shaken off Aislinn turned and did her best to fend of the heartless that had just attacked her. It wasn't long before it too was nothing more than mist around her as she looked back at two more Neoshadows preparing to attack. However it was the smaller Shadow heartless that jumped into action first. Already annoyed with the wound on her back, Aislinn quickly lashed out and met the Shadow mid jump making sure it never landed before it too fell to her blade. From there she looked at the last two Neoshadows. "Lets do this." She mumbled before she used one of her favourite skills, Zantetsuken, to take out the last two. The one move was easily able to take out the two heartless and left Aislinn ready to continue her fight, ready for the next round should they choose to approach.

The rest that followed defeating the Invisible was short-lived for the heartless swarm that he had left had finally made their way over to where he was. Luna fortunately was safe for the time being, which was a relief to hear. "No problem." Was what he had said to hear, then hearing Ignis. "So far, so good." The heartless swarmed acted up once more, separating the two of them from Ignis. Luna had gone ahead and started attacking them herself. Fortunately she was close enough in which he could provide assistance and hopefully vice versa. Kel's attention turned towards the nearest group of heartless and set off to deal with them. The first one in his path was a neoshadow that had already taken to slinking into the ground in preparing to deal its own personal brand of attacks towards the keyblade wielder. His magic was still for the most part limited after using blizzard to speed up his process in getting here. He would have to stick with his keyblade to fend off the heartless for the time being. Said neoshadow finally made its move, leaping up form the puddle that had stopped in front of Kel. The first strike was parried by his first keyblade while his second one was brought down upon the heartless before it could react. Another three puddles had dashed off towards Kel. Being larger than the usual ones he dealt with from regular shadows, they had be be another group of neoshaodws seeing this as their chance to strike. Simultaneously the three humanoid shadows leap up into the sky and dove towards Kel with their claws outstretched from three different angles. He wouldn't be able to block or parry his way out of this situation, he lacked the speed to pull that off successfully and failing would only lead to more harm that good. He wasn't out of options though, far from it. The three attacks from the heartless had seemingly reached their target as all of their of claws had met in the middle of...a large cloud of smoke. The smoke had cleared and instead of there being a long in the middle of where they stood, impaled by their claws, there was nothing. No log, no keyblade wielder, nothing.

The reason being one of the abilities of Kel's Ninja job that he currently was using and its ability to avoid one attack. Technically he'd dodged three with this use, but they were three used at the exact same time so it counted as one. Perplexed the three heartless looked around for Kel as he reappeared behind one of the heartless, delivering a swift strike to its back with his keyblade. This attracted the attention of the other heartless and which Kel struck the next one with his fist bump attack. Enveloped in flames, the heartless was sent flying in a fiery explosion that left nothing of the heartless behind. Its comrade was given a easier fate when Kel tossed his keyblade at it. At the end of all this, Kel had relaxed for all of a second when something went flying past him. It was not a shadow heartless like last time, though it did collide with one and finished it off. Never saw it coming at all. The culprit had been another neoshadow. It picked up another rock and tossed it right towards Kel. The speed in which the rock went at him was impressive, but not enough that it would be out of Kel's dodging abilities. Said projectile was avoided and Kel went on the offensive towards the lone rock throwing heartless. The distance between them was close with relative ease and with a hefty horizontal swipe, he brought an end to the heartless.

Ignis countered her little run around the wooden balcony that she had gotten herself onto. Just a second ago she tried throwing her keyblade to take out a heartless from behind, but instead the thing moved out of the way and Ignis's keyblade hit a tree that knocked a coconut of all things out and fell on the head of a darkball. And would you know it, the thing decided to pull in some heartless friends to chase after Ignis now she had a parade of Shadows, Neoshadows, and Darkballs on her heels, and she didn't feel like stopping to shake their hands, or in the darkball's case, antenna. She looked back and watched as the two darkballs chasing her decided to pick up the pace with their little munching attack and chose to take the detour off the balcony. She put her arm up on the broken ledge and pushed her body up, jumping over the barrier. Unfortunately for her, the wood wasn't holding too well, and broke just as she got over, leaving her to fall backwards to the ground. Apparently the Shadows and Neoshadows alike decided to wait for her too, because as she fell they jumped up and took a swing at her. She covered herself up and got smacked around a little, then landed on the ground with a thud. The one thing she was glad about this time was that she fell into the sand on her back and not with her mouth. That didn't stop the heartless though, as they all decided to dive bomb her while she was on the ground. Quickly moving over to the side, Ignis managed to get out of the way just as the heartless hit the ground where she had been.

At that point, all of them were nice and huddled, and Ignis figured it would be a good idea to take a couple of them out. She swung at the heartless closest to her, which in this case happened to be another darkball, and hit it hard with her fist. The heartless fell back into the others and knocked them all to the ground. They stayed there stunned for a couple seconds and then the magic happened. The darkball began to shine for a second, then the fireworks occurred, sending all the heartless flying across the island. Luckily for her, it looked like she had managed to knock out all of the heartless, though it was hard to tell since they all vanished in a puff of smoke, and in that explosion, it was kind of hard to tell what smoke belong to what. At the very least she figured they were gone and began looking for her next target. Just as she took a step forward though, she looked down and quickly moved her head back. Without noticed, a Neoshadow popped out of the ground right where she was about to step and came inches away from her face. Before she could react, however, the Neoshadow spun around and knocked Ignis right in the side and to the ground. She clutched the area where she had been struck and kept her eyes on the Neoshadow. She was having a hard time figuring out if these things were intelligent or there were just so many of them she just had the bad luck to keep getting surprised by them. The heartless didn't wait for its follow-up attack, as it spun around to attack again. Ignis put up her guard and blocked the attack, then counter with a right hook. The Neoshadow when flying, but of all things, a random darkball popped out from its smoke travel and the explosion sent the Neoshadow back to Ignis. She had no time at this point to react to the upcoming explosion, so she got to her feet and ran about four feet before the explosion when off.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!!" She screamed as she flew through the air and headed straight toward Stratos and Beuce.

She landed into the sand face-first again, this time buried. She struggled to get her head out and took a deep breath. Looking up she had landed right in front of the two. "Hey guys, how's it going? Doing alright so far? Did anyone get the number on that darkball that just sent me flying with my own attack?"

Kaida was going to take a while processing what Hikaru just told her. Because it simply hit her in a way that she was definitely not fond of and it was only emotionally taxing on a different level. The blonde sent multiple projectiles back into the horde and was going to respond before she was pulled down. In a yell, she was under the horde and keeping up guard as she said, "Get back to me in a bit... you dropped a lot on me and now I'm being chowed on by shadows. Raincheck on the convo please!" and she continued her fight as best as she could, annoyed at the interruption.
