Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

He watched as Stratos continued to smile and laugh as Aislinn. He knew all to well that this wold not last long. Stratos then said, 'Well, now that we're Masters guys. I suppose I could also use a wardrobe change.' He kind of liked what he had on. Aislinn walked over and slung her arm around him. Then Aislinn said, 'You really did. And I am not repeating it. I don't know how Kaida feels though, maybe ask her if you want to see. I don't think I am ever going to sing that fast again though.' "Cant say I blame you." He then watched as Megumi made his way to the center of the group. This was going to be fun. A holographic map appeared before them, showing a blinking red light roughly a dozen kilometers from their location. 'Your ferry back to the realm of light will be placed on a world known as Destiny Islands. An unfortunate world that fell to darkness close to a year ago. And as comfortable as you are now, I wouldn't get too cozy. The portal back to the realm of light will only be open for 24 hours.' He did not think that 24 hours was enough time. They still had to find the missing people from there group.

"We still need to find the others," he said voicing his concern. That was when A small high-pitched noise was heard. Hikaru was standing there with both fists clenched from the anticipation of watching his friends. He wondered if that was needed. It seemed like Aux, Kaida and Hikaru were friends once again. He guessed that they should not waste any time then and get going.

Ignis listened as they were finally given the official announcement of passing their Mark of Mastery exam, and was thankful for the 24 hours given for free time. She followed Stratos as he went into a store, and looked around to see if there was anything around that looked interesting to her. She grabbed a jacket, a pair of gloves, some pants, and shoes, and went to the changing room. As she went in, she noticed some scissors lying around and decided to take those along as well. She changed into her new clothes and figured they didn't look so bad. Then she took the scissors and started cutting away at her hair. While she didn't mind having long hair, it was about time for something different. She just wished she had someone along to help her out with it, but eyeballing it seemed to get the job mostly done. After finishing up she had changed from that dress to a black leather jacket, a choker, some loose half pants, boots, and a new glove for her sword hand. She wondered if maybe the black was a bit much, though she didn't seem to mind it. Walking out of the clothing room and about to leave, she noticed a belt with a few pouches on it that was hanging around. Not seeing the harm it, Ignis grabbed it and put it on, thinking it didn't look so bad. Having spent most of her life in some kind of armor, it was nice to be out of that and in a new kind of clothing.

As she left she noticed Luna going over to Stratos and the group of Aux, Hikaru, and Kaida having a moment. Though it was a little weird seeing the three of them all funny of sorts. While she didn't know what was going to happen with Aux, she still didn't hold it against him that they were all in their current predicament. If they could leave with him as an ally, it would certainly help them, though if something happens and they had to fight him, she wondered if it would end up the same. Not sure what to do at this point, she walked over to the group and tried to listen in on what they were suggesting.

 

Whilst the others were all mingling, Steel mostly just kept to himself. Not that he had any particular reason. He sort of just... people watched while contemplating the events of the last world. Would that he could have warned Nick and Judy of the possibly very real dangers of Fairbeaks' formula. Alas, it was not to be. They likely would have it analyzed anyway, so they would probably wind up nipping any potential threat in the bud anyway. Come to think of it, what was the chief to think when they never came back from the mission? Weren't they supposed to keep a low profile? Joining law enforcement only to vanish within 24 hours seemed like a surefire way to draw attention. Then again, the chief had gotten their files somehow. Whatever Megs had done to get them in, he could probably pull a few more strings and get them off the hook no problem.

It was these and other thoughts that Steel entertained himself with as he patiently waited near the portal to Destiny Islands, only momentarily contemplating on going through the portal by himself and waiting by the ferry. He decided that he and his thoughts would dwell with the others a bit longer before going on ahead.

As the boy was just waiting for the others, he looked over to see Luna as she had come back. Being briefly stunned by her sudden change in appearance, the boy paused a bit before walking up to her. With a small bow towards the girl, he jokingly said, "I would be honored, your highness." With that, he would join Luna on her walk around Shibuya, merely looking around the unfamiliar and strange, yet wondrous sites that the city had to offer. While he walked he said, "man, can you believe we have a moment of down time like this? I think the last time we actually just sat down and rested was back the first time we went to Disney Town. Since then," Stratos seemed to be a bit lost in thought as he went through his memories of all the worlds and trials they had to face thus far. "Well, it's all behind us now right? We're almost out of here, and ready to go show the worlds that we're masters!" After seeming pumped up by this, he looked back to Luna, chuckling and a bit embarrassed, saying, "oh, sorry for keeping things all business even now."

 

Kaida thought about the aura situation a minute but, she heard Ananta's voice come from behind her. Fortunately for Ananta, Kaida was in a hugging mood. She didn't know how often this would happen, so Kaida separated herself from the other two and walked over and hugged Ananta. Though it was more of a side hug than anything. She wasn't very fond of full on hugs anyway. After a bit she separated and looked at those still here, "Well, I think I'm gonna join the others going for new clothes before focusing on this aura thing." Kaida saluted at the ground before she walked over towards Hikaru and pulled him away from Aux, "The hugging's gone on long enough. For now you must part."​

 

Luna looked over to Stratos as he bowed and spoke. "I would be honored, your highness." She was a little surprised but that surprise didn't last long as she giggled a bit. She then spoke up. "Great! I've been meaning to go for a walk. Even if it was for five minutes!" Luna smiled as she started her walk around Shibuya with Stratos. As they were walking, Luna admired the weather and sites that the city had to offered. Stratos had then spoke to her, talking about the free time that they had. "I feel like it's been ages since then but looking back and looking at now. It's amazing to see how we've all grown throughout our time on this journey. We've all come so far. Truly amazing." Luna reminisced for a few moments as she walked along the streets of Shibuya. From her arrival in the Land of Departure to the City of Shibuya, she went through her memories and all her battles to get where she is now. Stratos had then spoke up once more. "Well, it's all behind us now right? We're almost out of here, and ready to show the worlds that we're masters!" Luna looked over at him as he looked like he was excited. She smiled and before she could speak, Stratos spoke up once more, chuckling a bit while looking a little embarrassed. "Oh, sorry for keeping things all business even now." Luna had been a bit surprised. Her surprise had melted away instantly as she smiled at him. "There's nothing to apologize for! Whatever makes you feel comfortable. I would rather have the person I'm talking to be comfortable than uncomfortable. If you want to keep talking about business, then by all means, continue! I don't mind!" Luna smiled as she spoke, with her arms behind her back, hands clasped together.​

 

Ananta returned the side hug and smiled at Kaida. She watched her seperate Hikaru and Aux, a chuckle rising from her. Looking around, Ananta saw everyone sort of wandering about, doing their own thing. She started to wonder to herself if she ought to change clothes, too. After all, she was a master now and needed to look...more...mastery....? She shrugged to herself and looked about, thinking about it. In the end, Ananta decided to stick with what she had on. After all, what's the point of changing when she only just recently did so?

Glancing up, she saw Steel hanging about by himself as he usually did. Closing her eyes a moment, she smiled and walked over to him. "I take it everything went well? You fit in naturally there, huh?" she joked. "Though I never did think I'd have to change into a bird..." she lamented about her own world. "You been okay?" she asked.​

Having being given the same answer from two different people, Kel merely opted to take their words for it. It wasn't too long after that in which he heard Stratos mention an outfit change. Looking at his own outfit, he saw nothing wrong with a change in attire. Kel looked towards the red timer that was ticking down, noting how much time that they had, then set off on his mini quest. A quick look around and Kel spotted an outfit that stuck out to him. It looked to be about his size and setting foot into the shop he'd found it in to try on the outfit. It actually did fit him which was convenient to say the least.

Now having donned on his new attire, Kel had returned to where the portal to Destiny Island was as well as the Aura's that were up for grabs. He looked at each one carefully for about the same amount of time. When his eyes came across the Ice aura, that one was given more attention than the others. It could've been his eyes playing tricks on him, but he could've sworn that it seemed to pulse the longer he stared at it. This lead to him reaching his hand out towards it. No sooner than he did the aura reacted by sending a literal chill throughout his body. It was an odd feeling for the chill was short before his body seemed to adjust to it. The one exception being his hand in which the aura had passed through. "Good, that's another step forward."

He watched Aislinn began to search the shops began to search the shops walk off and begin to search the shops. The shops that seemed to appear out of no were. Soon Aislinn came out of the shop with a new outfit. It seemed like everyone was changing outfits. He did not feel the need. He had some other clothing he could put on if need be. Stratos then appeared with a new outfit and said, 'man, can you believe we have a moment of down time like this? I think the last time we actually just sat down and rested was back the first time we went to Disney Town.' "I guess it is best to try and enjoy it the best we can." He knew all to well that this was not going to last long. Everyone was hugging each other or putting on a new outfit. He had almost forgotten that he was a outsider. These people had known each other for years at this point he had to guess. He had only been around for what felt like months. He tried to put on a smile for the others but it made him wonder some things. Where was his place in all off this? All he knew was that he was here to make a difference, if he did or did not was another thing all together.

He looked around a noticed that Megumi was gone. This could be good or bad. "Um, Megumi is gone." He looked at Hikaru and wondered some things. There is a time for everything he thought. "So, how are we going to go about finding Yue, Lea and Glen?" They had to find them before the 24 hours was up he was sure. He was sure if they didn't they would be stuck in the realm of darkness.

Ignis continued to stand around wondering what to do next when Hikaru came up to her and complimented her new look. It made her smile a little, since she was glad she had picked out an outfit that seemed to suit her. Turning her head, she responded to his remark.
"Well, I don't know about feeling stronger, but I definitely think it's a little more comfortable than the last outfit. Though I might have been somewhat imitating a friend of mine, now that I think about it." She tilted her head a little, trying to think back on the memory. Thinking on it, he was the first one I saw with this kind of clothing. My world doesn't really have clothing like this, but I he had clothing that kind of remind me of this place. I wonder if maybe my world was something like this in the past?"
She got lost in thought, wondering about what her world may have been like in the past. She knew there were some secrets hidden about the past of her world, and she had gotten curious about them, but that would have to wait till some other time. If nothing else, after they were done with this little journey of theirs, she could help design new styles of clothing if she ever got tired of being a mercenary. The thought made her chuckle a little.
At that point, she remembered that they had to choose an aura for themselves, and she went over to pick one. She looked at them and put her hand to the one that seemed right. She had decided before that she would pick the one that was the closest to her namesake, and picked it out.
Walking back over to her companion, she turned her eyes toward Aux for a minute than back to Hikaru.
"So, are you all good with Aux now? Seems like you and Kaida were getting past that whole thing that happened before. I personally wouldn't mind going another round with him, but perhaps more on friendlier terms than him trying to kill us all. I am a sore loser after all." She grinned at Hikaru, wondering if he might find the joke amusing.

 

"Yeah. I'm doing alright." Steel shrugged to his friend. "I did fit in pretty well... too well really. I didn't change at all and yet..." Steel paused to shake his head. "The poor sap managed to mistake me for a mammal. Tried in vain to use a bioweapon on me... too busy monologueing to notice someone already dumped an entire chemistry kit into my blood veins I guess." He shrugged again as he briefly recalled how Fairbeak had blatantly ignored Steels' own speech.

"What about you? You said you got turned into a bird?"

 

Ananta laughed at Steel, giving him a playful arm punch. "Yeah you're pretty tough and fast because of that stuff, huh?" She commented, shaking her hand after the punch. She looked at it to see a bruise over her knuckles. She doesn't even remember getting the bruise. Shrugging, she looked at Steel curiously after he asked about her turning into a bird.

"I was a parrot. We helped a lion become king of his pride and defeat his evil uncle who let darkness consume him. Kaida was a bird, too. A cute, energetic bird. She sure ran around a lot, that's for sure." Ananta laughed again, remembering how quickly they ran from the hyenas at one point.

A thought crossed her mind and Ananta had to ask it. "Do you mind if I ask something? Am I the only one that ever takes time to actually talk to you? I don't usually see anybody else even stand near you after we finish any world's." She asked, hoping the question wasn't too personal.​

Hikaru had pretty much said what he was going to say to AJ. As much as it sucked, as far as Glen and the other were, there didn't seem to be much that they could do. Perhaps in the future, but not quite right now. The chill in his hand had ceased and Kel walked away from the aura that still remained and looked around at the other who were still here. A fair bit of them had gone through outfit changes themselves. What stuck out to him the most was how Luna was now wearing a crown on her head.

He walked up to the duo that was Luna and Straos, saying "that's, um, quite the crown you have." upon arriving. Being his first time asking Luna, as well as anyone, about being royalty he had no idea where to start. Fortunately the crown she wore was nothing like what he'd imagine it to be, thus granting him something to say.

 

Steel placed a claw on his chin and thought carefully about Ananta's question.

"Well... I have had interactions with others between missions before, but... I suppose most of those came about by chance. I guess you are the only one who checks in on me regularly." He shrugged his shoulders in dismissal. "I hadn't really thought about it... I mean, I kinda always just prop myself up menacingly against the nearest wall. I doesn't really scream 'talkative.'"

 

"You need to approach people more. Make more friends.” Ananta said, walking around the general area a little, not really wanting to stand in one spot. She thought about what Steel said and she turned around and grabbed his...hand claw thing. What even would you call it? Is it a paw? A claw? A hand? Who knows. Ananta just grabbed it and shook it. “Well, if I’m only ever your only friend, you can always come to my world and live a nice life. At least then you’d not have to be subjected to weird crap.”


She let go and chuckled to herself. “No matter what happens from now on, let’s stay friends.” she said. “Now, I got another question...why do you look like this?” she motioned to his body.​

While he waited for someone to answer Ignis continued to go on about her outfit. Hikaru thien said something about it probably just best if we let Aux be for now... Just let him calm down, y'know? I don't really know what will happen once we reach Density Islands. More craziness if the past was anything to go by. Then Hikaru said, 'Well Lea said he was finding people with Karina, so I'm sure they're at least keeping each other safe. Since Megumi said we passed, Yue might be off looking for Mizu and Rin... As for Glen...' "How will Lea get out of the ream of darkness?"

Hikaru then continued, 'Not really sure what we do about him. Apparently he didn't complete enough missions to continue on... Neither did Base... or Xara, or Gwendolyn. There's a possibility they might have been erased. With all the celebration, I didn't even consider the fact we wouldn't be seeing them again.' "It might be ture, but I do not think so I am sure that he is somewhere in the realm of darkness. If we leave now he will be trapped here forever. So, why not look for him? There has to be a way to track him down." There was always something that they could do and leaving people behind was not a option in his opinion.

 

Beuce looked around at most people changing outfits. He'd gotten his current outfit, minus the cloak, his homeworld in the castle of illusions. Come to think of it...if it was an illusion, how were they existing outside of it? Would he be naked when they got back to the realm of light? ...was he already naked and no one told him? Beuce suddenly started to sweat nervously as his eyes darted around for the nearest clothing shop. He followed behind Stratos and picked out an outfit for himself, but didn't put it on yet. It was more for a just in case sort of thing.

Now that he had insurance against catastrophe, he took the time to look at everyone else's outfits. Lunas was by far the most eye catching. He clapped a hand on her shoulder. "Well don't you look snazzy." He commented, peering at the crown atop her head. Beuce looked to Stratos after his comment about their last downtime period being disneytown and put his hands up in a cautionary manner "Excuse me sir, but could you kindly not? I prefer my downtime to be unjinxed. Id rather avoid having a meteor sent by no heart containing all the evils of the world falling on us." He mused jokingly. "Well, we're all dressed up and have nowhere to go. Guess we'll see if there's anywhere in the realm of light." He motioned his thumb over his shoulder at the portal to the realm of light. Their ticket out of here they'd fought to win. ​
