Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Recovering from his use of Zantetsuken, Stratos looked around to see how things were going. Two of the girls in the RG seemed to be trying their best in order to stop the crowd from pelting the hunchbacked man with fruit, but the boy knew that they could only do so much. With the darkness as thick it was here, there was no telling how many more people would be swallowed by it if they didn't stop the heartless. Twirling his keyblade a bit, Stratos looked around as he saw a group of solider heartless all getting together, seemingly try to make a horde out of themselves before going for the attack. Dashing at them, Stratos slid forward in a burst of speed as he smashed into one and killed it. Despite being taken off guard by the boy's entrance, one of them had already been preparing to retaliate. As it spun forward and dashed, its claws were caught by the boy's keyblade and the beast was split in two as he followed up with another slash. The four others of this group, no longer being in surprise, had all started together and charge at him. Channeling magic through his keyblade, Stratos conjured four bubbles of water, firing each of them at a solider. With each bubble bursting one after the other against them, the heartless had been taken care of in no time, leaving Stratos to go find a different group to take care of.

Andrew stood there waiting for Xara to say something when Kel said something 'Dunno, maybe he's just collecting Microbots.' Yea because steeling them made so much more sense then buying them if the person was going to just collect them. 'Would it really be smart to hide them all over the place? We have no clue how it is that they work and for all we know they could be practically useless separated.' "Probably." As so them being practically useless separated they already knew that the microbots did not do much by its self from what Hiro said. That was when the Microbot flew away from out of the petri tray into the ocean's harbor. Welp Hiro was not going to be happy that he lost the only microbot they had. A fog came out of nowhere. Standing onto a huge wave of microbots was a man in a long black coat wearing a kabuki mask. That was when Hiro showed up. This was not the best place for Hiro to be. Kel then asked, 'How exactly are we supposed to hit this guy!?' "I do not think we do, well in a normal way. Getting close to the guy it probably not the best idea. Finding a way to attack from a distance might work." Now this it of its self was a suggestion but is was probably the best option.

Xara then said 'I know there's only three of us on this side, but we gotta try to confuse the guy somehow. Got any ideas? Magic? Special, nn, fighting attack thingies?' "Maybe..." He thought some more. "Maybe we can use the water somehow. In practice getting the microbots wet should stop them. We need to get Hiro out of here." He looked to the guy on the wave of microbots. "Maybe one of you two can figure out a way to get the guy into the water." He did not think the two were going to pay attention to anything he said but it was worth a try. He ran towards Hiro. "Baymax you need to get Hiro out of here it is not safe." How Baymax was going to do that was a whole another matter.

After having handily dealt with the soldiers, Stratos then started to look around for what else there was. As he did, he briefly marveled at the raw amount of darkness that was actually around in the area. It wasn't something he had seen commonly in other world, in fact aside from his own he'd never just seen raw darkness before. But here, it seemed almost just a natural occurrence, which was more surprising to him then it probably should have been. Nevertheless, there was little time to understand the nature of the world he was in, as it was clearly a threat to the world his friends were in. Looking at the shadows scurrying across the ground, as one made its way out of the ground, it was soon met with a keyblade colliding straight into it. As the heartless was felled, Stratos looked to the ground for more of the heartless, calling his keyblade back to his hand. As he saw a few more getting out from the ground, with a flick of his blade being pointed upward, Stratos rained lightning from the sky. With each bolt striking the heartless, they exploded from the attack, leaving their targets safe for now.

The first wave of microbots had come flying towards them and with the armored marshmallow known as Baymax out of commission, it was basically up to them to defend Hiro till Baymax was up and running again. Kel wasted no time avoid the first wave of attacks while keeping them away from Hiro. During all this Xara had gotten over to where he was and asked if he had anything. Well he did have something that he could use, the thing was that Kel was certain that the only way that he could us it was to being using his keyblade, Resolute Heart, as opposed to Oathkeeper. Its a shame that he couldn't wield both at the same time. "Unfortunately I don't have anything that could help in this situation."

Given that the masked guy was currently standing over the sea and not exactly within range for any of his attacks nor magic, finding some way of knocking him down was not going to be easy. "Easier said then done." Dodging another set of attacks that had been set towards him, Kel quickly took a look around . There had to have been something here that they could use to help.

Continuing his fight against the heartless, Stratos moved on to a group of little floating balls of darkness. These ones didn't really seem to be drifting towards the people, but they did seem to be gravitating towards other inanimate objects. Not really wanting to see what they had in store, Stratos channeled magic through his keyblade, causing a small rain of lighting of to fall from the sky. As the lightning bolts struck true, the creatures were completely decimated by the magic, which made Stratos go to check out where the next wave was, only to see a few gargoyles sweep down at him. While he was able to dodge out of the way of the first one, it was a hasty dodge and thus he was slightly off balance. This in turn made him have to block the second one's attack, which forced him to the ground and made it fairly difficult for him to dodge out of the way of the next one's slash. Scrambling back, Stratos's face was slightly cut by the claw, not being able to dodge fully, but the boy managed to spring back onto his feet. Looking at the flying heartless, the boy channeled ice into his keyblade as he struck at each one with one strike, the final one hitting far harder than the rest. With it, the small ground was vanquished.

Ignis watched as the RG group seemed to have their hands full with the microbots. Those things were surprisingly difficult to deal with, considering their size. Then again, there was a million and a half of them, and they did manage to throw a giant thing like Baymax like a toy. She figured that it'd probably be best not to take her curiosity on this time and figure out how hard they actually hit for. Even so, she wished that she could do something about that heartless hiding in the back making more of the little annoyances. What an irritation to deal with, having one large annoyance make a million little ones, which keep the large one safe to keep making more little ones.

She dodged an attack by the microbots as well, and tried to get close to the guy in the mask, as well as the heartless, but was cut off by a wave of the microbots.

"Guess it's not going to be that easy huh? It never is..." She sighed with exasperation at how nothing could be simple, and looked toward the other UG members. "Hey guys, got any idea on how to get out of this mess?"

After brushing himself off from the last bit of heartless he had fought, the boy then moved on to find more of them to get rid of. However, his effort in this was not so much needed as the heartless had decided to come to him instead. Evidently, they had taken noticed of his slaying of their kin and didn't quite enjoy that. As such, he was immediately dive bombed by a few of the gargoyles, claws ready and raking across the air at him. Seeing this coming, Stratos had managed to dodge backward and away from the creatures. However, as he did, he was struck in the back as a few soldiers had moved to flank him. Being pushed but not falling, the boy realized that the group that was attacking him was slowly and steadily getting larger, as more gargoyles started to fly his direction and more soldiers moved to circle him. As they started to try and trap the boy, he simply sighed as he twirled his keyblade around, channeling it with white magical power. As he did so, four columns of light began to appear around him on to go forth and towards his enemies as he swung his keyblade at the air. The pillars exploding into blasts of light decimated the heartless in no time, yet left the boy all the more noticeable to the other ones in the area.

Glen had followed the others as they went to meet up with the RG group, and when he had gotten there he felt a little eager to vent some of his frustration out. If he'd been worried about Baymax taking all the glory (he hadn't been), that worry vanished the moment that their personal healthcare companion was knocked aside like a ragdoll. "Yeah, I've got one, Ignis" he called back, before stepping over to Xara. "Hey, Xara, keep it up, I think I have an idea. There's a big heartless behind the microbots, seems to be pumping them out endlessly. If none of the others can see me, the guy in the mask shouldn't be able to either. I'm going to take him out, just hang in there for a couple of minutes longer" the keyblade wielder stated, before rushing off.

As he ran forward, a wave of microbots surged towards him. Instinctively he rolled out of the way, only to have more surge towards him. They weren't aiming for him, but there were that many going towards his friends that it was really hard to get there by foot. Even though he wasn't sure if they could actually run into him or he'd just phase through them, he didn't want to take the risk. Quickly sidestepping out of the way, an idea formed in his mind. As the next wave came towards him, he jumped up into the air and changed his keyblade into its glider form, before landing on top of it and taking off.

Flying forward quickly, he was surging towards the heartless and swerving to the left and ride to avoid the streams of microbots coming for his allies. Once he got to the heartless, he smirked a little. "Never thought I'd do this intentionally" he said quietly, remembering his first meeting of the group at Baker Street. It felt like so much time had passed since then, so many adventures with the people he now thought of as friends. Some of them, anyway. Diving off of the glider and swapping it back to keyblade form, Glen delivered a powerful strike to the head of the heartless, causing it to momentarily stop creating more microbots, before summoning his glider once more just as he was about to hit the ground, before he flew up into the sky once more as he prepared to strike their foe once more.

As the heartless started to converge on his position more, this time Stratos was not taken surprise by it, and thus was able to react accordingly. This reaction being to dive straight at them. Jumping into the air, he manuevered past the heartless on the ground by using the momentum of his sliding dash to both slash through a gargoyle and make it over. Skidding across the ground, the boy then spun his keyblade and tossed it towards a soldier who seemed to be a bit confused, slicing through that as well. As a gargoyle seemed to fly at him, the boy summoned his keyblade back to his hand, lighting it ablaze as he struck out with a fire strike. The heartless being burned and cleaved, it dissipated only to reveal 2 more flying behind it, both with claws extended. Bringing his keyblade up to defend against the first and pivoting away from the second, Stratos managed to avoid any major injury, and struck out at the first one with a simple slash. Knocking the creature down, he then did an upper slash, cleaving the creature in two, only to let loose a third slash to intercept the gargoyle that had missed him earlier, splitting it in two as well.

Andrew did not seem to make any progress towards Hiro and Baymax so far did not seem to respond. He took cover behind one of the giant boxes that were around the area. That was when Kel said 'Unfortunately I don't have anything that could help in this situation.' Well that was unfortunate. 'Easier said then done.' "Yea I do not think that is to be easy. If that was that easy I would think everyone would be a master at this point." At this point a wave of Microbots flew past him. It was a good thing the box was here. He look back at the others and then to the man with a mask. "So any news from the other side? I have yet to get anything. Maybe they have an Idea." Once the Microbots went past him he took off again towards Hiro.

Continuing his fight against the heartless, Stratos had to deal with the next wave of soldier heartless. As one seemed to be ready to attack him, it began a prepitory motion for an attack, causing Stratos to put up his guard immediately at the sight. However, the attack was delayed, as it seemed to be winding up, and so his guard was off balance as the heartless dashed at him. Striking him with a great deal of force, the boy was knocked back, stumbling backward and barely keeping himself off the ground. However, being open from the attack, some of the other soldiers seemed to take advantage of the opportunity, striking their claws at him and spinning about as he was recovering. Not being able to dodge all of them, he felt a claw cut just barely through his sternum, but ultimately the boy was able to avoid any serious wound. Looking at the solider heartless that first attacked, it seemed to be winding up for its attack again. Seeing it coming, Stratos hopped, avoiding the attack as it dashed at him. He then followed this up with his own dashing slash, cleaving through not only the attacker but also a few of the other soldiers that had been behind it. With that, they seemed to take heavy damage, exploding into darkness and releasing the hearts within.

Having not found anything that he could would be useful in their current situation, Kel instead tried something else. Granted he knew full well that his current plan wouldn't work in the slightest, but it didn't hurt to try it. In what's slowly become a habit for him, he grabbed the keychain of his keyblade, spun it around and chucked it towards the masked man. His strike raid attack was stopped about halfway through its path it was knocked out of the sky by one of the many set of microbots that they were against. Yup, figured that would happen. "Try asking your partner if they've come up with anything." Speaking of which, he could ask his partner the same. "Got any ideas Kaida?"

Beuce, for the most part, had been wracking his brain about the "mission" they had to fulfill. It could be metaphorical, in which case Frollo certainly seemed to fit the "monster" catagory. The way he treated these people was a little to similar to Dominus for his liking. But what about the man? Was it Phoebus? He seemed like he could almost go either way along the path of light or dark. Was their mission to save him from ending up like Frollo? He sighed. They had too little evidence to really jump to any conclusions yet. Instead, he decided to just watch the show. The first part with Esmeralda was certainly enjoyable to watch. He knew she couldn't hear him, but he whistled and cheered regardless. Though, the next part wasn't quite such a joy to witness.

Once they darkness began to sink over the crowd, it didn't take a genius to realize things were taking a turn south. Heartless began to appear everywhere, drawn to the darkness the people contained. Was...was there really this much darkness in the city? It seemed like such a bright place. In hardly the time he'd thought this, Stratos made his way through the heartless as though they were nothing. Approaching him from behind, Beuce gave him a pat on the back with his fleshy hand. "Whoa, easy there buddy. Were you planning on taking them all on by yourself?" Had Stratos always been this powerful...? He had to say he was impressed by the display. Not one to be shown up, Beuce extended out his glass hand and two small spheres of light appeared a ways out from each side of his hand. One blue and one red. They began to levitate toward one another, with their glow being greatly accentuated as they passed over one another. Continuing on beyond the point of convergence, each one left metal in its path until they reach the opposite's starting location, and his keyblade was firm in his grip.

He flipped it around so that the blue end was upright, but raised it above his shoulder, aiming the red end toward a gargoyle. With a heavy swing, he hurled the keyblade toward the monster. It barely had time to look at the weapon before it was evaporated by the blow. Stratos was head and shoulders above him in the grace department, but Beuce more than made up for it with the raw punch behind his attacks. Calling his keyblade back to him, he turned his attention to the group of soldiers running towards him. The clank of their armor resounded as their feet hit the ground. He swept the magical end across the ground, and five circles in the ground charged themselves with explosive power that raced towards the group of soldiers. One by one, they stepped on the bright circles and didn't have time to regret doing so.

Andrew kept on run running between boxes and just kept on going. He looked over to Hiro which at this point he was not even half way to him. Looking around he did not see anything that would be helpful in this situation. He did not see how a keyblade would be helpful at this time. He once again looked over to the man in the mask trying to get some idea of what to do. It seem like attacking him head on would not work and attacking for a distance did not seem to have any effect at all. Kel then said, 'Try asking your partner if they've come up with anything.' "Will do. What do think about trying to drop something from above onto him?" He then turned to look for his partner. "Hay Ignis any idea on how to take this man down?" He ran out from the box he was behind almost getting hit in the process and rolled to avoid it.

"If you think it will work then go for it." When they did find something that worked, they would be able to exploit it like crazy in order to fight against the masked man. Just dodging the microbots while hacking and slashing at them wouldn't get them anywhere fast even though it was the only thing that they could do at the moment. Kel really hoped that there actually was something in the UG that could them out in some way, shape or form. His keyblade returned his grasps just in time as another wave of microbots had flown towards, thus he was now able to block against the mass amount of little robots.

Andrew kept on running. When Kel said, 'If you think it will work then go for it.' "Do you see anything I might be able to use?" Finding something that worked to take this man down would be key. So far no one was able to do anything fighting the man with a mask. At this point he ran from a box and in a different direction then Hiro instead he ran toword somewhere there might be higher ground. He would have to get to Hiro at another time. As he ran he looked for something he could use to drop on top of the man. It was not like there was a huge crate hanging right on top of him ready to drop.

Luna kept walking until she heard Clopin singing. She turned around and listened to his song. Before she knew, a woman had appeared out of nowhere dancing to her heart's content. Luna looked over at the crowd and saw Phoebus watching the woman named Esmerelda dancing. Clopin spoke once more and Luna looked over as he went on about a "King of Fools". Esmerelda pulled a hooded man onto the stage and took off his hood to show his face. Gasps of horror and fear coming from left and right. She couldn't understand what people were so shocked over. All she saw was a man while others in the crowd saw him as nothing but a monster. Before she knew it, fruits were being pelted at him left and right. "Stop!! Leave him alone!!" Luna's eyes widen in horror over what she saw before her. Aislinn and Ananta had started to make their way to the man in danger. Not before long, she saw Beuce run off and had begun fighting, heartless must be in the area.
Luna scoped out the area and tried to figure out a plan. As if an idea had sparked in her head, Luna ran back a bit and got into a running position. "Let the wind become your feet...." Luna took a deep breath before running up to the crowd. As soon as she jumped, she summoned her keyblade and pointed it toward the ground as wind shot off from her blade. The wind shot her up the her usual jump height. She looked through the crowd and found the guards pelting tomatoes at the man. Luna turned her body so her foot is pointed toward the ground. Once she reached the ground, she kicked two guards out of the many that were harming the man. "How dare you.......Your duty is to protect the people! Not harm them!!!" She grabbed one of the soldiers and threw him into some other guards. "If you don't remember, then let me educate you on your duty!!!!!!" Eyes drowning in anger, Luna got ready to fight more soldiers.

 

Xara was busy holding her keyblade with both hands, holding back a wave while being pushed back on her feet. She moved her body to start to roll, then pulled her keyblade out of the locked combat mode, making the microbots slam into the ground in a tangling mess.

She then heard her partner and smirked. "Got it! Hey RG group!" She called to Kel and A.J. as she kept counterstriking. "Glen said that there's a giant Heartless making the endless supply of these microbots behind the creepy mask dude in UG. Glen's gonna try to take it out!"

Xara was swatted to the side, making her stumble off balance. She got up and glared at the mass of microbots. "Oh no you didn't!" Xara charged at the wave with a yell, unleashing multiple combo attacks. Suddenly, she was surrounded by orbs of light, and the microbots that were surrounding her was swept away into a brief explosion. Xara looked around, dazed for a moment by the sudden burst of power. Strange enough, she had an epiphany that what she did was indeed called Explotion "Whoaaaa! Did you see that? Did you- AGH!" Just in time, she blocked another swarm trying to catch her off guard.

While the others were busy jumping around dodging and trying to swat down the microbots, Ignis was trying to figure out if there was any way to stall the man in the mask from attacking them. It seemed like the man was able to mold the microbots into whatever he needed them to be, which was kind of cool in its own way, but also bad for them. If they were able to freeze them it'd be nice, but watching Hikaru get swatted down like a fly basically put a damper on that plan. And since his partner had pulled a disappearing act on him, he seemed to be having a harder time with it. AJ asked her if she could do anything to hold the man down, and Ignis looked around. Then she wondered if maybe that couldn't use all the crates around them to their advantage.

"Be back in a sec," she stated as she ran over to Hikaru.

Stretching her hand out, she dragged him up and on his feet. "Hey Hikaru, you're better at magic than I am. Think you can aim at some of those crates danging by those cranes? Maybe we can use them to pile on the guy and block his vision enough to get ourselves out of here."
