Kingdom Hearts: Shattered Promises

Sora follows after him and he never felt so wanting to see her again. It has been turning from months to a year. He puts away his Oblivion and got on his hands and knees again. Once the Keyblade Master got out, he took a glance at a woman who has blue eyes and blonde hair. 'She looks familiar...' He turns away then follows after the stranger.
OOC: Hold on, aren't Sora and Roxas going to see each other?

 

OOC: Nope, you go see Kairi, while Roxas sees Namine

Demyx led him straight to Kairi, and this time he wasn't playing around anymore.

" Kairi......Sora is here."

Roxas went straight through the hole, and he took a look at Namine. Stepping out, his sad face had returned, and he had only one thing to say.....

" How could you betray me?"

 

Kairi froze for a second. "Sora?" she asked weakly, scared that if she turned around, he wouldn't be there, and that she'd be imagining things.

 

"Roxas!" Namine exclaimed, widening her eyes. Tonight of all nights, she hadn't expected to see Roxas here...in Sora and hers special place. But...hearing what he had said...
"Betray you?" she repeated. "What...what do you mean?"

Larxene watched as Demyx led away Sora, a smile curling her lips. Excellent job...he did better than expected. She turned, looking at the entrance into the secret place. Hopefully, Roxas will do just as well...

 

He stood there immobilized. "Kairi." He looks down at the ground. Sora couldn't bare to look at her right in the face like they did when they were younger. Now he doesn't know if he feels sad, guilty, or betrayal.

 

Emotion after emotion ran through Kairi's head; anger, sadness, happiness, and most of all, an odd feeling of being betrayed. "Sora..." She shook her head softly, trying to think of what to say. "I...I don't...." Her words were stiffled by a quiet sob as she shut her eyes tightly and hugged her knees.

She didn't understand anything anymore. How could Sora (sweet, caring Sora) have not even checked to see if she was alive. "...how could you?"

 

Roxas walked towards Namine, and he pointed towards a certain wall.

" Look, that's where Sora and Kairi drew their love for one another, and you're breaking it up. This is their place, don't think you can take over Kairis place....and don't think Sora can take over mine. Why? Why did you leave me for Sora? And it's funny, because it was like you were planning it all along.....just using me."

Demyx stepped away from Sora and Kairi, knowing that they would want their alone time.

 

"I know." He murmurs. How could he, of all people, believe that stupid rumor and didn't prove everyone it was false? He remembers staying inside his room grieving for love one. Sora didn't move a muscle, too shock to apologize.

 

Kairi didn't seem to hear him, and she continued talking. "I don't understand. How...how could you even believe something like that without looking for me? Without looking for a body? Without looking for proof that I was dead." Tears gushed out of her eyes as she continued venting.
"You can't just smile and tell me it'll all be okay this time, Sora. You can't just say you love me because obviously if you loved me, you would have checked to see if I was dead. Who the...who the heck do you think you are to think that you can just go off with Namine and leave me and Roxas shattered to pieces?!?" She was shouting now, and most likely attracting attention, but she didn't care anymore.
"I just don't...I don't...how..." Kairi shook, trying to calm down.

OOC: *sigh* I must go...later peoples. ^^

 

He finally looks up to Kairi's shaken body and like what he did before on his reunion with her, he wraps his arms around her. "Kairi, I'm sorry. I-I know I should have look for you but the rumor has struck me pretty hard." He paused. "After I started dating with Namine, I knew Roxas would not be happy to see us together so he ran away. Kairi, could you please forgive me for not putting faith in you?"

 

Namine looked at where Roxas gesturing to and then back at him. She bit her lower lip, as if struggling to express her emotions.
"I wasn't using you," she said, shaking her head delicately, as she looked down at the floor. "I would never plan this against you...never...it's just that I..." She tilted her head up, to look at Roxas. "I've always...loved Sora."
She closed her eyes and sighed. "Before...he made me a promise...that he'd come and see me again...even when he forgot me..." She opened her eyes, which were filled with sadness, and glinting as if she was about to cry. "He had never truly fulfilled it...and it hurt me...I cared about him...a lot. During the time at the Oblivion Castle...when he had rescued me...that's when I had fallen in love with him. He took me out of my prison, the place that had confined me, trapped me...and showed me freedom and compassion, unlike the people who had forced me to mess with his mind." She paused, closing her eyes and opening them again, as if trying to supress her tears.
"I didn't realize what I felt for him for a long time...until I understood that once he forgot me, he would never fulfill our promise. It made me feel empty, like the Nobody I really was. So later...even when I merged back together with Kairi...I realized I could never be satisfied until knowing Sora had fulfilled our promise together. And so I separated myself from her...and when I did that, I tried to get Sora to remember everything...to help him remember about our promise. In truth...he still doesn't remember...but I'm glad he has fulfilled it at last..." She clasped her hands together, as if nervous.
"When he did...I was so happy...but the love I had for him was always there, never dying. So when Kairi died...I couldn't help myself. I had to comfort Sora, I couldn't just fade away. But when I began to help him...I just deepened the love I had for him, and I had to tell him it...that's when he admitted he felt the same..." A tear slid down her cheek.
"I'm sorry, Roxas...but...I really did love you. When I first met you at Twilight Town...you were kind to me as well...so charming, thoughtful, and sympathetic...I had immediately fallen for you. But then with...Sora I had always loved him..." She put her hand over her chest, where her heart would be if she had one.
"It's almost funny...sometimes...it feels like I have a heart, with emotions and feelings. And it's like I'm confused...about who I truly love...but I know..." She closed her eyes.
"I have to make up my mind...but to tell the truth...I don't even know anymore," she murmured quietly to herself, but was loud enough for Roxas to hear.
Sighing, she opened her eyes and looked directly into his sapphire blue ones.
"I'm sorry, Roxas...I'm sorry...but just know that I never wanted to hurt you, and I never meant to lead you on..."
Despite this, a tear slid down her cheek, and it was as if her eyes reflected her thoughts. Because I still love you...

 

Roxas clenched his fists, and an army of tears rolled down his cheeks. Sora, that punk pretending hero, who was he to say he love Namine, right after Kairi died, and when he knew it would hurt Roxas? In about two seconds, Roxas had his arms wrapped around Namine, and their body began to give off an luminous light inside the cave. In Roxas mind, there were two people he had feelings for, Namine of course, but there was another person......Larxene. Embracing Namine in his hug, he closed his eyes, and searched his mind.

" Namine....I always loved you, but.....you went to Sora right when you had the chance, and had him at his weak spot. I love you more than he ever would, and that right now is a fact, believe it........And it's funny, i'm just like you, I can't stop thinking of another either.....Larxene. I l-love her too....but she told me to look deep inside myself, to find the one I truly could be with, and the only one my mind has been on."

Closing his eyes, Roxas still had Namine in a warm embrace, and the light had gone intenser. Roxas was going deep inside his soul, and it was like a tug of war between the two blondes. Looking at Larxene, he would want to go with her, but when Namine showed up, all he could see was Sora behind her. This is when he cried again, but this time Sora didn't have it. It was like everything was set to normal, Sora and Kairi ounce again joined together, and Roxas and Namine found their own paths. But what about Larxene? It was still a tug of war, testing his will, and love for Namine...........and unlike Sora, Roxas would not give up on the one he truly loved.....

" Can you feel me Namine, our hearts combining into one?"

What was he talking about? Nobodys didn't have hearts, but, he believe they did have emotions, and that was plain as sunlight.

" Our souls, they connect Namine....."

Roxas began to weep, and the light had filled the whole room.

" I truly love you Namine, and I can't live without you. You're not my first, but you are my last, and my everything......I love you so much...."

 

The King watched from a distance. "At least everything's back ta normal."

 

Namine closed her eyes...another tear rolling down her face and onto Roxas. Her mind was now swirling, and it was as if she couldn't breath. Who was it that she loved? Roxas was here, saying that she was his everything and that their souls connected...but could she feel it? Was it possible at all?
"I...I...love...love..." She was trying to force out the words she wanted to say, but who did she truly love?
"...you..."
Her mind was searching for the name, the person she wanted to be with...the name...it was...
"...Sora..."
That was exactly who she loved...Sora...when she saw Roxas, she saw him...that was partly the reason why she had fallen for him in the first place...because he reminded her of her hero, the one who had saved her, rescued her from a place she thought she could never escape. Someone who had given her hope and faith, and showed her compassion...something she never experienced before. Roxas...was someone who reminded her of him, her first love...but was it her true one?
Several more tears fell down her cheek, falling onto the ground and some rolling onto Roxas.

Larxene had been outside, waiting somewhat patiently for the boy to return...when a bright light had flashed from the inside of the secret place.
What is happening? she thought, widening her eyes with surprise. Is Roxas...succeeding?
She felt a sharp pain - the light was hurting her, being a Nobody, especially one resurrected of darkness, and she lifted her arm to cover her eyes.
Pain still seared her, and she quickly turned, walking away from this large display of light.
What if Roxas needs me though? she thought, as she had begun moving quickly away. But...if I stay here...I'll probably die...but...no...
At last, she turned, facing the bright light, and she quickly sat down behind a boulder, hoping it would help block the brightness of it.
Roxas may need me, so I'm staying here...

 

It was like his soul had been ripped ounce more when she said the name of Sora, but he wouldn't let her go. Sometimes he wishes that Sora and Namine never met, so they he could have a chance, but he had to come and screw that up. Instead of anger, Roxas just holded on to Namine, and his tears land onto Namine.

" Sora..............no..........."

No, Roxas could feel true love, but he just wasn't able to have it returned to him at all.

" Damn you Sora.........damn you....."

This info scarring his life, he wanted to let go of Namine, but he just couldn't, not now. Sora has taken alot of things away from him, and this was the last straw. No more, Roxas won't be mistaken as Sora, he won't be loved BECAUSE of Sora, and he defiently doesn't want to lose the most thing precious to him in this world......The light growing from eachothers bodys began to fade alittle, and Roxas was trying his hardest to keep this bond they had. IF he did have a heart in his chest, then it would be broken into pieces............

 

Namine's tears were still flowing freely from her face - she couldn't stop...all the sadness, these feelings...she could feel them rising in her chest, swirling within her, trying to burst from her.
Who I want...is Sora... I want to be with Sora... she thought, feeling her mouth go dry. With Sora...but I...I also want...Roxas...
However, she felt it, deep within her - something warming...but was it from the thought of Sora? Or Roxas?
"I'm sorry..." Namine murmured. "I'm sorry..."

Roxas started to loosen his grip, and the light was barely there.

" I've lost haven't I? To Sora..............I don't want us to end, I need you....this isn't fair, if I could have I would have saved you, but they never told me you were in there......I would have..."

The battle of true love, has saddly only begun, but Roxas has already chosen his decision. Namine wanted Sora........and only wanted Roxas because of Sora......This is when he completely blows up.

" Namine, i'm not going to give up. I know ounce in this crappy life I have, our souls touch, and there wasn't a deeper light than that. I guess, I just wasn't good enough for you...."

It was like Roxas wanted to punish himself now, especially since he now would very much like to kill Sora, and torture him at that. Roxas let go of his grip, and the light that surrounded the cave dissapeared. Standing infront of Namine, Roxas closed his eyes, and decided to try again.

" Remember.......remember when we touch , and there would always be a light? Well, remember when we kissed?......."

 

Namine opened her eyes, trying to stop sobbing and just listen to what Roxas what saying.
"That...light..." she repeated, softly. "It was there...but..." She looked down, not wanting to meet his gaze. "It's...not because...of you..."
Another tear slid down her cheek. She knew her words were hurting him, but she didn't know how else to tell him...or to even soften the blow of them.
"I'm sorry..." she managed to choke the same apology out again...as if it was the only thing she could say that wouldn't hurt him. "But...that's how I feel...and I know...you would've come to save me, but...the first person who touched my soul...was Sora."
She looked up at him, forcing her to look into his eyes.
"It's not because of you...Roxas...it's not because you're not good enough...it's not because think Sora's better...it's just...my love...belonged to Sora, and it's always been there...and I don't want to lose him. Not again...when I thought he had forgotten our promise, it hurt me. It made me feel empty...and I hated that...the person I want is...Sora."
Her eyes, no longer full of tears, now showed the same exact apology as before. I'm sorry...

Roxas had frozen in place, and he stopped spreading tears. Yeah, this is when his throat was dry, and he talked in between sobs.

".....Is....that so?....i'm sorry I wasted your time..............have a good wedding."

That sentence he just said sompletely tore him apart, and his bright blue eyes changed into a grayish color. Roxas looked like he was utterly dead, well, he might aswell be, because it's over. Staring at the exit, he started walking towards it, but he was wobbling as if drunk.

" Sora...."

Putting a hand on the wall, he leaned against it, and wiped away the free tears running down his cheeks. Falling against the wall, Roxas covered his eyes with his hands, and only one eye looked at Kairi. Though this time, it was black.

" I hope you have a good life............"

He just sat there, as if telling Namine to get out, and leave him alone now. Rpxas didn't want to give up, but she.....she doesn't even love him for himself.

" I'll kill you Sora, I swear I will........."

 

Namine was startled to see the darkness in Roxas's eyes...why was he like this? Had she truly caused him to be like this?
She felt fear crawl up the back of her spine, as if telling her to run...to find Sora and to just run into his arms, so he could hold her tightly and soothe her, telling her he loved her and everything was fine.
"I'm sorry..." she murmured, for probably the seventh time, before walking past him and leaving the secret place, not wanting to glance behind her at him...almost frightened of the darkness she might see within him. "I'm sorry..."

Larxene saw Namine run straight out of the secret place, towards the place Sora was conversing with Kairi. Where is that girl going? she thought, surprised. She had noticed her eyes were slighty red and swollen, as if she had been crying...what did Roxas say? What did he do?
Sighing, she walked over to the secret entrance and, getting on her hands and knees, crawled through.
Once on the other side, she stood up, dusting herself off and looked around.
She could see Roxas was leaning on the wall, looking depressed and...cold...
"Roxas..."
