Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

"Sora, right now you can't--" Eden noticed the monkey heartless being swat away, seeing the blood. Why did that one defend her? Nevertheless, the fact that it alone tried sent her heart ablaze. She pushed Sora back, running (almost tripping as one of her leg joints ached badly) and scooping up the monkey heartless. To allow one so close was a chance she'd take, but right now she would do all she could. The heartless around her swarmed, and she could do nothing but be a shield. The Keychain again glowed brightly, but dully compared to the now bubble of heartless overtaking them.

 

"Eden!"Sora yelled, gasping at the large number of the Heartless. Oh no.... The ninja heartless felt...almost relieved when Eden picked the heartless up. When the heartless charged it could feel light rushing into its body, the heart it once lost to become the creature it was close to coming back to the heartless.

 

The keychain pulsed, coming into Eden's hands. It morphed into a new keychain, a lioness curled around a badger in a protective circle. The lioness was a deep purple, while the badger a honey yellow. The stem of the great weapon was a honey gold with metal vines of red circling around it. The tooth of the blade was composed of white, silver "hairs" and the other, crimson "feathers". It had no name, and didn't choose to. But it was enough to scare away the heartless. They knew, Red was the color of Valour, Courage, and Blood. And that was what she wanted.

BIC:Sora looked at Edens blade, eyes widening in suprise. How did she... Is that a....how?! The ninja heartless was scared, but a warmth was..overtaking its body, the light of its heart almost back in its body. It just needed one more push before the heartless could regain its heart and return to normal.

 

ooc: It's not permanent. I swear
bic: Eden started to breath more heavily, realizing this Blade was syncing with her strength, and slightly sapping it away. "I... I'm not..." she muttered, the heartless backing up, retreating. Her light was burning as bright as the dark, and she could only keep herself standing. "Val, Jeff, where the hell are you?" The blade fazed out as the last few heartless retreated. It had served it's purpose at such a desperate time. And with that, Eden finally fell to the ground, hugging the heartless as a vain attempt to comfort herself and to keep her jittery hands occupied.

 

Ellen had made it to the others, panting slightly from her run/jog. Running and combo moves had to be worked on. She saw Sora,Kairi and Eden, but also the heartless. When had these things gotten there?For how long were they fighting? Where were the others, still searching? Or...... Ellen turned to find Icki walked up behind her, she glared at him. This was his fault, if only he had not abducted her she probably could've helped.
"Yeah. I know!" Icki sighed. "If I hadn't abducted you, ya could've helped, blah,blah,blah." he rolled his eyes. Chicks and heroes; what drama queens. "You should go help now! Your here!" Icki stretched his arms to the scene.
But Ellen only glared at him, then turned to look at the scene once more. Why wasn't anyone attacking the heartless?

The heartless finnaly reached a peak with the hug, a sudden flash of light. Sora shielded his eyes, the scene very familiar. The light cleared, an unconcious Valerie in the heartless place, with nothing more than a few cuts and her hair looking like a cat went mad on it...."Nyuuuuh....who turned on the sun..."Valerie muttered, starting to come too. A dark flame lingered in the air for a second from the light, but quickly faded away.

"V-chan! You're okay!"Sora sighed in relief. He noticed Ellen and Icki. "and just where were you...and who's that?"he was a bit confused at Icki.

bic: Eden was done, her energy was out... and yet, she still got up and lumbered almost blindly to Andrew. She would make sure he was safe, at any least.

BIC:Sora sighed in relief that Valerie was okay. But Jeffrey..... "Where's Jeffy? The last thing I remember was the white mushrooms giving us a crapload of Elixirs...."Valerie looked around for Jeffrey. "Um...well..."Sora frowned.

 

Eden felt tired, falling over again. She needed to get closer, to protect him... but right now she was so tired and beat she could barely get up on her own. She moaned in defeat, though she did try dragging her body through a slow crawl by the chin.

 

Kairi looked down at her feet silently.
The Heartless watched the strange humans. One girl had turned a Heartless back into a human! Where... is my light...?

 

"Apparently you were ambushed by Heartless during your... 'Elixir High'."Sora frowned. "Oh.... Oh! Then Jeffreys...a heartless... Oh, THAT'S great..."Valerie huffed. "if he is, then we'll eventually run into him... Riku too..."Sora sighed. Suddenly the shriek of a wyvern caught their attention. "gaaah! what is that?"Valerie asked. "A Wyvern...and an angry one at that..."Sora frowned.

 

The sound of the Wyvern picked Eden up to fight once more, just barely. Her knees were shaking badly as she stood. "Sora! I need help!" her body was trembling with pain, and slight burns littered about her. The keychain of whatever her heart called felt warm again, and if she needed to fight it would come.

 

"Hey, hey. calm down. The wyverns nowhere near us. You, little missy, need to rest."Sora said, hands on his hips. "Look who's talking.."Valerie put her hands behing her hair. She paused. "MY HAIR!"she felt her chopped up hair, devastated. "Oh maaan!"

 

Kairi giggled. "I dunno, it looks kinda cute."
The Heartless trailed closer to the group, eager to reach the source of the light.

 

Valerie pouted at her choppy hair. "maaan...now I'm gonna have to cut whats left of the long parts off when we reach the-"she paused, thinking she saw the heartless cat. "The...?"Sora tried to see what Valerie was looking at. "ah, it's nothing."Valerie lied.

 

Eden shook her head. "But Andrew's still out there! You left him behind!" She would lunge at Sora for an Elixir, if she had the strength to. "Please, I need to get to him. I lost Nexas. Andrew's the last thing I have to my Old life."

 

Sora took out an Elixir, barely able to bend over so he could give it to Eden. "There... I still say that was reckless of-"As Sora stood straight up he let out a small hiss. "gaaaaah, that hurt..."He shook off the discomfort. Valerie couldn't help but giggle, even if she was a bit curious about what she thought she saw.

 

Eden swiped the Elixir quickly and chugged it down as fast as she could without choking. The tastes shot through her, but she didn't care. All she focused on was the great surge of strength that kicked her into high gear, allowing her to get back up. Her burns weren't gone, but she could move around without being in pain anymore. "Thank you. Sorry about um... My recklessness earlier. And, here, I think you should have this, the King wo--" She hadn't really noticed the keyblade, since most of that fight was a haze of pain to her, and the keyblade was just as hazy too. "Oh god! The King's keychain! What'd I do? did I break it? Oh Notch, I have to get back to Andrew, Merlin's beard this is not good!" she again dismissed the keychain, running to her little badger, going to protect him.

 

"Eden!"Valerie huffed as Eden ran off. "Oh, please... No more running... I've already done an insane amount of running in this condition..."Sora whimpered at the thought.
