Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

Riku quickly got back to his feet, ignoring pain when he saw the stairs. He sprinted his way up, not letting the two get to Yen Sid first. "RIKU!"Sora ran after the silverette.

 

OOC: They've got a head start on Riku, he couldn't beat them up.
IC: Gexln turned as he ran and fired a dark firaga at Riku quickly, hoping to slow him down. He then turned and sped up even more, using darkness to move faster as he sprinted up the stairs.

 

Eden sped up in her white hot flames, not allowing Riku to interfere. "Riku, don't interfere! I wouldn't want the fate of the worlds to be handled by two inexperienced BRATS!" she growled, over passing his speed by the flames.

 

OOC:......Biased *beepbleeeeep*
BIC:Riku ran out of breath, coming to a stop. "Finnally....."Sora caught up to Riku, panting. "Riku! what is wrong with you...?"He looked over to Riku. "Nothing..."Riku refused to look at Sora. "Please calm down...."Sora frowned. "Its not worth the effort now..."he said. "Right..it's not. we lost...."Riku shook his head. "Don't say that... Now come on."Sora took Riku's hand. Riku sighed, and the both of them now made their steady pace up the stairs.

 

Speeding up with Gexln, Eden had stopped at a single door. Extinguishing her flames and urging Gexln to calm his darkness, she opened the door to find a very spacious room. It was almost a duplicate of their battle room, save for the many plush couches, tea table, shelves for books... She noticed the floor, and underneath the other scorched room they had fought in.
"I have been watching this entire time." Yen Sid loudly addressed the two, without even saying their names directly. The Wielder of Earth immediately stiffened, trying to keep a proper posture. "Sit, have a drink." Flora laid out a tray with a teapot and two cups. Fauna laid out a tray of some light sandwiches.

 

Gexln sat down. He said nothing, but waited for Yen Sid to continue.

 

Eden quickly sat next to Gexln, giving him a cup and saucer as well as herself. "Did we fail, sir?" she sheepishly sipped her tea, pinkie out in a nervous habit.
"I will say once the other two Wielders arrive. I believe a student should learn from their mistakes, as well as their accomplishments." Yen Sid sipped his cup in thought, the hard stare not present at the moment.

 

Sora and Riku made their own pace to the room, holding eachother by the arms. "Master Yen Sid.... we're sorry."Riku said. "We both let you and his magesty down...." "We didn't mean to be such disgraces." "We really tried our best without using magic..." "We're not giving up, despite everything." "but we understand if we don't pass the exam."The duo took their keyblades, going to their knees and leaning on their keyblades.

OOC:Um...that wasn't worded right.

Think of a knight or something kneeling before royalty with his sword.

 

Yen Sid waved a hand, softly nodding to them. "At ease. Sit, and have a drink. I have much to explain before appointing our new Masters." It was a vague statement, sending Eden into a nervous internal panic. She slightly squeezed Gexln's hand for some form of comfort. "There is much to learn for all of you, but all of you did well." he hummed again.

 

Gexln barely noticed Eden's hand. He was focusing intensely on every word Yen Sid was saying.

 

Riku and Sora sat together, taking their tea. "Hey, Gexln. I didn't mean... all of that mean stuff I said back at the battle."Sora said. "I really have nothing against Nobodies... at least, now I don't. I just... got alittle mad."He admitted. Riku refused to say anything, drinking his tea. "And Rikus sorry too.... He had a bigger temper than you guys do, believe me. He's also just as stubborn. Especially when it comes to apologizing."Sora huffed. "Sorry...."Riku muttered, completely calm. "But, no matter who wins... No hard feelings?"Sora held out his hand.

well, after a few rounds Valerie had lost and had gotten her clothes back. The battle was between Roxas and Kairi. Roxas had his shirt, pants, jacket, his wristband, and his socks. any clothes lost at this point were taken by Valerie until the one player becomes stripped to their underwear.

 

Gexln made no move to suggest that he accepted Sora's apology. He looked at him briefly. "Some things are better left not said. Once you say them, you can't take them back" he said gruffly, before looking at Yen Sid again and waiting.

 

Eden shook her head, she did have feelings against Riku and Sora still. She watched Yen Sid, eager.
"My rules were, that there was to be no magic." Yen Sid started, which immediately put a look of defeat on the Wielder. "But it is rare a student is courageous enough to defy my rules."

 

Does he really mean courageous or stupid? Gexln thought to himself. He wasn't sure whether he would pass or fail, or even what he'd do if he DID pass.

 

Sora was gently biting his lower lip, nervous. Riku stayed calm for Sora's sake, not trying to predict the outcome.

 

"I have also heard everything you all have said. The girl fighting to go back home, the nobody fighting to regain his heart... The man seeking the redemption he already got, and Sora... Just fighting for the Light." Yen Sid stared at each person as he addressed them respectively. "All of you have reasons to become a Master of the Key, but some might have the wrong way about it." He looked at Riku, a slightly hardened stare graced the eyes. "You seek Redemption, yet saved the Worlds. What more redemption do you ask for?"

 

"I...I can still feel the darkness and.... I just want it to leave me alone. Xehanort could...use it to his advantage and try and take over like his heartless did. I...I do admit I didn't mean redemption the way I said it... But... I just want to settle the darkness in my heart... if thats possible."Riku explained. "Riku..."Sora gently shook his head, trying not to smile. Oh Ri.... Why can't you see that the darkness would never take advantage of you again... Not like this....

 

"Riku... You have been consumed by the dark, and learned your mistake. You have been given every chance to go back, and in some cases you have..." Yen Sid swirled the tea within his cup, in thought. "But you always had the choice, and control over the Darkness within you."

 

"Yes, Master Yen Sid..."Riku slowly nodded. "Is there....anything else you would like to say?"Sora asked, being polite.

 

Yen Sid raised his hand, silencing Sora. "And we have the girl who wants to go home. Why do you wish to become a master to abandon your duties?" He watched her thoughtfuly, trying to find out the motives of everyone.
Eden heavily sighed, but took a sip of her tea again. "I am from Earth, and when it was attacked by heartless, I lost a lot of people I loved. I have seen both me past love and his nobody die for me, my best friend torn apart..." she took another sip to release the lump in her throat. "I also have no doubt my family is gone as well. My goal as a Master is to return the heartless to their former selves, find my loved ones, and disown the title and then return home.
"I just want to be able to go home without the Keyblade attracting heartless. That way I can go back and live a normal life." As she finished, she munched on light sandwhich, keeping herself together. "And possibly control my fire better so my anger doesn't burn everything around me."
