Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

"Treat it like a game?!" Jeffrey shouted angrily. "We just risked our lives, and you're saying we treat this like a game! I'm sorry if being burned to death and having your heart eaten by a giant chicken sounds like a game to you!"

 

"But when you're not fighting, you're acting like children!" "So? You don't snap at Sora whenever he tries to have fun! But you always seem to snap at us!" "Because Sora knows the danger the heartless can become!"Riku yelled. Sora woke up at the yelling, giving a small groan. Not again...

 

"Maybe we just want to have a break from being serious," Jeffrey replied. "Maybe we just want to be happy for once. At least we know how to, unlike you!" He knew his words weren't true, but Jeffrey said them anyway, too angry to care.

 

"Well in times of mortal crisis you can't afford to be off your gaurd!"Riku snapped. "Well if being emotionless makes you safe then why did the darkness choose you as their puppet?!"Valerie asked. Riku winced. THAT was going too far... Sora knew the pained look on Rikus face, knowing he was reliving bad memories. "Okay, thats enough... All of you need to calm down!"He snapped. "But Riku-"Valerie saw the furious look on Sora's face, going quiet.

 

"Whatever," Jeffrey said, calmer but still angry. He grabbed Valerie's forearm and stormed off. We need some time away from all of this...

 

Valerie gave a long groan in her annoyance, needing to cool down. Chester stayed put, not sure who to go with. "Riku, you know they didn't mean it..."Sora went over to Riku. "They're right though.... I was so busy not having positive emotions that my negative emotions got the best of me...and now it's happening again..."Riku frowned. "Riku, don't you dare say that... You won't go to the darkness again. I know you better than that."Sora scolded. Riku saw Sora's gentle smile, giving a faint smile himself. "Yeah...."

"Guuuugh....Here we are on an ISLAND and he goes and says we're not being serious. How can we be serious with nothing to DO!"Valerie was clearly still annoyed.

 

Eden cleaned up her plate, satisfying her stomach deeply. Putting the plate in the sink, and yawning deeply as she headed to rest into the sleeping quarters, as a small alert told her otherwise.
"Landing in Radiant Garden in T-Minus 3...2....1. Landed." it chirped. She growled, but walked outside, but just scouring the area. "Well, this place looks better then last time."

"Hey, Sora! Its about time you guys came and visit! are you on vacation or-"Yuffie had seen the gummi ship landing, but stopped in her tracks at the sight of Eden and Gexln. "Oh.....You're not Sora..."she was alittle confused.

Riku had calmed down, the fesitval only few days away. "Riiiku, are you sure I can't help?"Sora asked. "No way. You're not leaving from that spot with you being so far along..."Riku said. "But Riku....Kairi, you'd let me help you guys, right?"he gave Kairi a hopeful look.

 

"Never seen you before," Leon said, stopping behind Yuffie. He eyed the Gummi Ship. "But that's definitely Sora's ship..."

Kairi shook her head. "The doctor said you were due in a couple of days," she told him. "You could go into labor any day now. You can't stress yourself."

 

"So who are you guys? Are you friends of Sora?"Yuffie went over to Eden and Gexln, curiousity taking interest. "Why do you have Sora's ship? Did he let you use it? Are you from Destiny Islands or another world?"

"But Kairi, I wanna heeeelp!"Sora gave a small whine. "You're helping by staying put. We need to focus on this, not worry about you and the baby as well..."Riku said. "But I can still help! The doctor just said not to stress myself, she didn't say anything about not being able to do anything!"Sora complained.

 

Eden stared at Yuffie with a blank stare, like no one was home. "I am a Wielder, of Earth. This is Sora's ship, he left it, and so I took it. I am tired of those Wielders not taking their job seriously now."

 

"Sora? Heyheyheyheyhey-hey. Sora tottaly takes being a keyblade master seriously...he just has his moments! Right, Squall?"Yuffie looked over to Squall-er, Leon.

 

"Master? Are you mad? That kid is a WIELDER!" Eden growled, eyes sparking a fire from her magic. "Y- Nevermind. I seek some training for me and my friend Gexln. Then we are going to leave to Twilight Town to visit Yen Sid and take the Mark of Mastery Exam, and after becoming a Master, find a way to destroy all Heartless."

 

".....How do we know you're not bad guys planning on taking over the universe? You don't seem like good guys...."Yuffie frowned. "But okaaay... But I'll be watching the both of you..."she pointed two of her fingers from her eyes to Eden and Gexln. "Training starts this-a way..."she started heading in a direction.

 

"Hold it, Yuffie," Leon said, putting his hand on the ninja's shoulder. "You said you took their ship. Why should we help a thief?" He looked over the horizon towards the castle that had once been Maleficent's base of operations. "You'll never be able to get rid of all the Heartless. As long as there is darkness in people's hearts, so will the Heartless."

 

"Leave it to Leon to sound all big and tough... Though when you put it that way we shouldn't help a gummi ship thief..."Yuffie gave a small frown.

 

"1. Then I shall try to destroy darkness itself." Eden bluntly said, goal clear. "2. It is not my fault those idiots left this Gummi on their play island of Destiny Islands unsupervised. I merely took it because my biggest goal is to either rid the worlds of Heartless, or rid me of a curse." To that, she summoned the King's Reversed Kingdom Key. "Now, any further questions? The quicker the better, I have to at least find a way Heartless don't track Wielders and attack my home." Her eyes narrowed, practically glowing with her darkened flames. "And the sooner I can return home, the sooner I tell everyone to bugger off and leave my planet alone."

 

"Alrighty then...."Yuffie didn't really like the girls attitude, but if they were on their side with wanting to destroy the heartless.... "Squalleon, what do you think? Should we train 'em?"she looked over to Leon.

"Can I just-" "No...." "Not even-" "No...." "Well, can I at least-" "Sora, you are staying in that spot!"Everytime Sora tried to get up Riku help him back into place. "but I'm so boored though!"Sora groaned..."Go look for Valerie and Jeffrey... see if they've calmed down..."Riku huffed.

 

Leon pushed a strand of hair out of his face. "Well, I doubt she'll say no for an answer." He paused. "So we might as well."

"You know, you really should learn to swim," Jeffrey told Valerie. "One of us can't really help you if you end up in deep water during a fight."

 

"I know how to swim!"Valerie said, giving a small pout. "I just haven't practiced in a while..."she said. Sora sneaked away from his spot while Riku and Kairi were working, seeing the duo. Ugh, hopefully they'll have something fun to do....
