Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

OOC: **** alot has happened, someone give me a recap?
EDIT: Mage told me...well KIND OF what happened. I know what's happened with her character, what happened with the others?

IC: Gexln chuckled quietly, the darkness boiling up inside of him. He grinned coldly, just staring at the sand as he continued chuckling, looking as though he were insane. He desired to consume hearts, to become stronger, yet he had to keep quiet. He had to keep a low profile. While Eden had been there watching him, he had been restricted. "But now...now i am free to do as i wish" he said quietly, thinking out loud. He eyed the people on the other island. "How simple it would be..but no. I'm not strong enough to defeat the keyblade wielders. Not yet" he stated.

He desired to get stronger via consuming hearts, but couldn't. He thought of the conversation he had had with Eden on the beach, also remembering the carnage she had caused in her heartless form. If i could just obtain that assistance again.. he thought. "But how?" he questioned, looking up at the sky now. Then he thought of it. He traced the small amount of darkness within Eden, and opened a dark corridor onto the gummi ship.

 

"Intruder boarding!" A small urgent voice chirped, as a dark corridor opened in the gummi.
"Huh, good boy... I guess." Eden frowned slightly, combing her hair in her hands and trying to look decent compared to her dirtier, greasier self from a few hours ago. It still didn't distract she was wearing the clothes of Riku, the magic fused ones that prevented her power from turning them into ashes. Her hair had dried, going into it's thick, naturally very dark waves and slight curls, and she was thankful for that. It reminded her of all the comments about her hair, about how it was a part of her heritage and image.
But her stomach growled in protest, and she would abide, in a moment. "I'll make food for us, don't worry..." she muttered briefly.

 

OOC:Well after the gummi left our group on the Islands is stuck there until Sora has the baby.

BIC:
Preparing the town for the festival was fun in itself. It showed how a town could work together if the recovery of the islands wasn't proof enough. Valerie couldn't help but smile at how peaceful the town had grown despite what had happened over a week ago. Riku sighed, too accustomed to life on the islands. But he didn't mind staying...despite his mother and a doctor constantly tending to the wound on his back. He looked over to Sora, who had fallen asleep on the job.

"Really?"Valerie had her hands on her hips. "Psh, he can't be like that when fighting heartless."she huffed. "Well he won't have to be after the babys born..."Riku said. "The...? Has it even hit you yet that-"Valerie shook her head. "nevermind. I just can't wait until they come back for us so we can get through the whole Mark of Mastery exam..."she shrugged.

 

Gexln looked at the ceiling. "Intruder? It's me you dumb heap of scrap metal!" he yelled, before turning and kicking the side of the gummi ship. He turned around and began walking. He'd only taken a few steps before he realised someone was nearby. He looked up. "Oh, hi Eden. Didn't expect to see you here" he lied.

 

"Alarms off." The Gummi chirped, Eden nodding in approval.
"Well Gex, you came back. Thanks." She smiled lightly, giving him a small squeeze of a hug. "Why'd you come back? I mean, you could have done something else, but you came back."

 

"Well, really the other bore me. You're the only one i talk to" he said with a small laugh as he slightly hugged back. "Why? Should i have gone somewhere else?"

 

Eden shook her head. "No, just surprised still. Thank you again. You're one of the few people I trust nowadays." She looked to the kitchen, stomach growling at it's host for nutrients. She blushed a bit, embarrassed a bit. "Um, would you like some food? I can probably scavenge stuff from the cans and dried foods."

 

"Food?!" Gexln exclaimed. He hadn't eaten for days. "Sure! Any food will do! Well, maybe not that blue vein cheese stuff..that's just nasty" he stated.

 

OOC:Oh gosh, now I have nothing to do for the next 4-5 days. gosh dangit.XD
BIC:
Riku was taking a break from preperations for the festival, deciding to make quick contact with the gummi ship. "Riku to the gummi ship. Everyone doing okay in there?"He said through the communicator.

 

"Blue Cheese? Not a big fan of it myself." Eden chuckled, finding cans of black bean soup, checking the freezer to find some slightly fresher frozen fish than she had expected. She shrugged, observing it, and decided to make the two a combo. Firing up the stove, defrosting the fish quickly in a microwave, the Wielder set to work in something she knew she was decent at. The familiar smell of the salmon and the black beans jerked some tears into her eyes, thinking of the home she left in order to protect it.

 

Riku decided to wait for a response from Eden or Gexln. "Eden, Gexln, are you there? This is Riku..."he repeated. he looked down to see Chester at his legs. "Shoo..."He gently pushed the heartless away with his foot.

 

OOC: Riku had no way of knowing Gexln was there lol
IC: "What do you want?" Gexln snapped. He was not very fond of Riku. In fact, he quite enjoyed the idea of Riku being the first to die if he decided to attack.

 

OOC:Well Riku had no way of knowing ANYONE was on the gummi, really.XD
BIC:
"Oh good, for a second I thought the gummi took off on its own..."Riku was alittle angry at Gexln after the moment of betrayal, but stayed calm. "I just wanted to make sure the two of you weren't in trouble.... We'll keep in contact, right?" Valerie was watching Riku with the communicator, picking up the small Shadow.

 

"Yes Riku, because the gummi ship often just flies off randomly on its own, desiring to find other gummi ships and settle down with them to make smaller gummi ships" Gexln said, voice laced with sarcasm. He laughed quietly. "Sure, we'll keep in contact" he added.

 

Eden grimaced, turning off the communications line. "Enough of them. If they can't take their jobs seriously, then we don't need to speak with them." She resumed to her cooking, her face scrunched by a scowl. "We'll just take the Mark of Mastery Exam... After we train and find your heart." Her eyes sparked darker, by a slight hate for the others.

 

"We?" he repeated. "So, a Nobody is eligible to take the test?" he asked.

 

Riku was suprised when the communication line was cut off. what the hell was that for...? "Well, are they going to get us after Sora has the baby?"Valerie asked. "I dunno, the communication line cut off before I could get to that..."Riku frowned. "Well, we're screwed."Valerie realized they weren't coming back for them....

 

"How should I know? We're Earthlings, we didn't know anything about all this being real before the Heartless came." Eden's eyes lightened, as she tried to calm herself. Setting down two bowls, both hot and steamy, was the black beans with a slightly seasoned salmon fillet. "Here. Something my mother would make sometimes. Hope it reminds you of your other." She almost choked on her own words, trying to keep strong at the memory of home.

 

"I doubt she wants anything to do with us," Jeffrey said grimly. "Why else would she just leave us?" And after we saved her, too! "What a friend," he mumbled under his breath.

 

"Oh, she's become 100% evil! oooh, she never takes us seriously!"Valerie huffed. "Well, its hard not to with all of you treating this like it was nothing but a game!"Riku snapped, losing his temper. "So what, we still have to train our butts off and be as emotionless as our enemies?!"Valerie growled.
