Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

IC: Gexln gave a weak smirk. "Oh, i might, you'll just have to trust that i won't" he said with a weak laugh. He took another deep breath and fired a dark firaga at the middle Anti Sora, who simply sidestepped out of the way. Gexln coughed from the exhaustion. He looked into the hands he had covered his mouth with, and saw a small red patch. Blood. "Wh..why?" he asked. "Leave..now" he tried again.

"You helped me be reborn, so you shall have the privilige of being slain by my hand first" it said, leaping into the air straight towards Gexln.

Gexln's eyes widened, not from shock, but from fear. He knew he was too weak to fight. Forgetting about Darkness' Sorrow, which he had dropped when he coughed, he threw his arms up in front of himself as a pitiful way of defending himself.

 

OOC:It's alright. Epicosity tiiime...tommorow. I have school in like 7 hours.XD

Sora gasped, knowing he had to do something. He knew Gex could still be one of the bad guys, but noone deserved to die by Heartless. "Protega!"He still felt weak from the last barrier, but he wanted to keep Gexln safe. "Hey! Leave him alone!"Valerie said, throwing her daggers at one of the Anti Soras. Riku shot a blizzard spell at the one that was attacking Gexln, knowing Sora couldn't overdo himself with the spells in his condition. Selphie took her nunchaku, launching a water spell at the other Anti-Sora.

 

Eden had felt drained from being a heartless, but that didn' stop her to parry off Anti-Sora if any got too close to Gexln. She hissed at the disobedient puppets, eyes growing dark with anger. "This one is mine. Be gone." Her physical stance made her look more frightening then she really was. She was going to protect Gexln, no questions asked.

 

"Well, good thing it's 10-er....11 against 3."Valerie gave a small chuckle. The look Riku gave her was one of annoyance, a small huff.

 

Eden awkwardly shifted her weight to her good leg, the other one worn down by years of uneven weight from a shoulder bag. Glaring intensely at the Anti-Soras, not allowing anyone close to Gexln. Apparently her loyalty to Gexln still applied as a human.

 

The Anti Sora's, together, melded into the ground and advanced towards Eden. Then, simultaneously, they rose and each swung their kingdom key at her.

Gexln coughed again, blood once more following it. His eyes were bloodshot, he looked like a mess. "Can't..stop now" he said through gritted teeth. He sighed. Maybe i'm just not powerful enough he thought. A voice came within his mind, recalling a memory of himself and Luxek sparring against each other.
"You're giving up, you're weak. That's all you'll ever be, weak. You'll never be strong enough to beat me" Luxek had said.
Gexln's focus snapped back to the battle. "I'll show you" he said quietly, suddenly becoming very determined. With a bloodcurdling roar, he leapt up and over the closest Anti Sora and swung Darkness' Sorrow at another. The Anti Sora, which was not the real one, dissappeared in a black vapour. Two Anti Soras remained.

OOC: I know they're not that weak, but the real one will be stronger and i really cbf to continue this battle for much longer haha

 

OOC:I really don't want this battle to go on very longer either, Gex.XD

Sora realized Gexln was getting weaker. "Gexln, here!"he tossed the elixir, knowing the it would heal his wounds and give back his strength. "Now to figure out which one is the real one..."Riku looked at the two remaining Antis.

 

Eden didn't even care to listen to any sort of plan, charging into one of the Antis with a fire burning around her. Her fire, however, had changed from he time as a powerful heartless. It had changed into a darker, tainted fire. That didn't stop her fury to fight.

 

The anti Eden had attacked burst into vapour, leaving the last and most powerful Anti Sora alive and on its own. Knowing no sense of fear, it recklessly ran at Sora.


Gexln saw the elixir, knowing it was just what he needed. He reached out with an arm to catch the elixir, but due to his hands being sweaty, it slipped from his grasp and the glass container it was in shattered on the ground. Gexln almost swore. He looked straight at Anti Sora. Can a Nobody even die of overexhaustion? Either it's him or me he thought to himself. He ran straight at Anti Sora, no longer caring whether he lived or died.

Anti Sora turned around lightning fast, too fast for Gexln's tired reflexes to save him, and swung the kingdom key across the chest. Gexln tried to dive to the right to avoid it, but was too tired and took the hit of the keyblade to the chest. His eyes grew wide as he realised he had been struck. Bleeding immensely, and on death's doorstep, the Nobody briefly considered the idea of letting himself just die. The fighter within screamed no, but he was tired and felt as though he couldn't go on. His eyes bloodshot, and Gexln himself a bloody mess, he collapsed onto the ground, falling unconscious and rapidly dying.

 

"Gexln! Oh my gosh oh my gosh, what do we do?!"Valerie started to panic. Sora's eyes widened, suprised that Gexln sacrificed himself to save the brunette. Riku took a deep breath, holding out Way to Dawn and hoping this spell would work. So far the only one he knew to perform this spell was Kairi, and they had only learned it recently before coming to Earth. "Life!"He cast the spell on Gexln, hoping to save the Nobody before his demise.

 

Eden went off to try and finish the Final Anti, her fury mimicking a god's. She would focus on Gexln when everyone was safe from her mistakes as well. "If you wish to die, then stay! If you wish to live, then go."

 

OOC: While that life thing does seem just a touch godmoddy, i don't want to be dead so i'll go with it :P

The Anti Sora looked at Eden, seeing the rage within her. It looked down at the keyblade it held, suddenly feeling unsure of itself. It wanted to fight, yet its basic instinct told it to fal back. The Anti Sora melded into the ground and hurried away.

Gexln sat up quickly, feeling energy surge within himself as he was revived. He blinked twice, confused, then looked around and remembered the previous battle. He also remembered what he had done to the people on the islands. Quickly, he leapt up and grabbed Darkness' Sorrow, then leapt back a distance and stood at a short distance, blade pointed at the group while he tried to make out whether they were friend or foe.

 

Eden turned her attention away from the retreating Anti to pay it to Gexln. "Gex, it's okay. Nothing's gonna hurt you. I'm making sure of that."

 

Geln lowered Darkness' Sorrow slightly. "Fine, but if one of them so much as even looks at me funny.." he said, voice trailing off.

 

"Trust me, if they do anything, they answer to me. You are my responsibility." Eden stepped to Gexln's side, lowering Darkness' Sorrow till the tip touched the ground. "There is no reason to be afraid. You're getting quite emotional. I want you to rest." She pulled out an elixir(one she secretly nicked from Sora) for him, popping off the cork. "Life spells don't fully heal you, but they do give you a good energy boost to get right back up. At least, when they aren't from princesses I would assume."

 

"I'll admit, i'm not really at my peak, but i'm more than capable of continuing on" he said. He looked back at the islands once more, remembering what he had done in his moment of bloodlust, yet still craving to do it all again. "Where to now?" he asked.

 

Eden shrugged. She shivered at the look in Gexln's eyes. She kept a steady, almost frail hand on his shoulder. Like a little tiny child trying to tame the serpent who swallowed worlds. Her expression was blank, or maybe an attentive one. She hadn't been very expressive, keeping a massive poker face for times of social interaction.

 

OOC:
1-There is a Life spell in Final Fantasy 7.(and probably other FF games, I'm not sure) Since Kingdom Hearts is Disney and Square Enix together I thought it'd be a spell to come in handy.
2- The DI trio had only recently learned the spell. Riku only did it in desperation and wasn't even sure he could pull it off. Luckily he did.
3- I just saved your life, thank you very much!XD
Life spells and pheonix downs, we're definately adding more Final Fantasy related stuff in this rp when we can.

"We're going to be staying here until Sora has the child."Riku said to Eden and Gexln. "What do we do until then?"Valerie asked. "Easy. Help fix up the main island back to normal. Fix up houses, reunite families, heal survivors on the main island....I think the hospital is still okay..."Sora took a look at the main island. "Thats a great idea.... What do we call this project?"Irvine asked. "The Destiny Islands Restoration committee!"Selphie said. Valerie chuckled at the name, knowing how familiar it was.

 

Eden glanced at Gexln. "We'll help too. We pretty much caused this anyway." She tightened her grip on Gex's shoulder, not wanting to leave him alone. "You're staying by me."

 

Gexln glanced at Eden. "Yes, mother" he said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.
