Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

Eden sighed, relinquishing her child, bringing him back into the depths of her mind. "I do love my creations. Him very much. I just hope one day it is never used against me." Her words wavered, looking out into the world once more.

 

I hope so too. Using ones mind against them... I wonder if thats even possible... Riku became more focused on the dark sludge, keeping an eye out for their destination.

 

Gexln shook his head."Don't sound so cheery. We're near Ayers Rock. While it may be good because we're near, i've no idea what we'll find there, or how many of them there will be" Gexln stated bluntly. "In fact, if you look over.." he said, voice trailing off as he pointed to a large landmass in the distance, "there, you can see Ayers Rock now" he finished.

 

Eden glanced the world outside, seeing a lump of sludge, but there seemed to be a dip in the middle. "There, the perfect place." she urged Riku to go faster, eager as her heated Keyblade. She was ready to be free to herself.

 

Riku instantly pickded up his pace, a small grin of pride on his face. Yes! This it it! Valerie was also picking up the pace, super excited.

 

"Make sure you keep Gexln close. I don't want him to fade, not like Nexas." Eden urgerd him faster, but she would not leave behind anyone. She wanted freedom, but for the good of many, her happiness could be sacrificed further.

 

Don't worry. I'll make sure noone gets left behind or lost this time. Riku reassured Eden, feeling confident. "Not that fast, E-chaaaan~"Valerie had to do a small jog to keep up, confused on how Eden got so determined. That's gotta be Riku...yeesh...

 

Eden felt like her heart was going to explode of joy, so close! Oh so very very close! "Get them to hurry up! We can finally finish this all!"

 

"C'mon! hurry it up, you guys!"Riku yelled to those that were being left behind. "Riku! Not so fast!"Valerie snapped, now in a full run to catch up with Riku.

 

Jeffrey watched Sora toss and turn. "I probably shouldn't wake him up," he said to himself. "Who knows what reaction he'd have if he was touched in the middle of a nightmare..."

Kairi sped up. I know we're close, but jeez! She smiled at her thoughts. But that means we'll be able to get Riku's body back soon!

 

Eden noticed the cleared sludge at the side of the great Ayer Rock, and forced Riku to stop in front of it. "We'll need to climb." she gluped. Not the strongest with heights, and not particularly strong enough to climb in the first place really.

 

Sora suddenly jolted awake, body trembling. "I...It was just a dream..."he sighed in relief, tears forming in his eyes. "I-It felt so real..."He had a hand subconciously on his stomach.

I got it...Riku started climbing. Valerie gulped, looking up. Oh yay.... heights...

 

"Are you alright, Sora?" Jeffrey asked, concerned about him and the condition of the baby.

Kairi gulped as she looked up the rock. Come on, Kairi, a voice in her head told her, You've jumped off from high places before. You can climb one! Shaking her head, she grabbed a hold and began to climb.

 

"Y-Yeah... J-Just a bad dream... Really bad dream..."Sora shook his head, wiping his eyes. "i'll be fine..." Liar...

"Heights...Why did it have to be heights?"Valerie groaned. "Hey, at least its not snakes."Riku joked, making good progress.

 

"You sure?" Jeffrey asked, not buying that Sora could just shrug it off. "You look pretty bad. Do you want to talk about it?"

 

"I.."Sora frowned, not really sure he wanted to talk about it. Get it off your chest, you'll feel better.... "I... I dreamed that I.... I died in childbirth and the baby didn't make it either... what made it worse was the dream kept going and Riku...he...he..."Sora shook his head, refusing to talk about that.

 

Gexln almost laughed at them. I wonder if they realize i could just make a dark corridor onto there he wondered. He shrugged. Let them have their fun i guess. He looked at the rock. Been a while since i've climbed anything he realised. He gripped a spot that looked good as a handhold and began to climb.

 

"Ah, I see," Jeffrey replied. That's a pretty bad nightmare... Hopefully it won't actually happen. "Well..." He wasn't sure what to say. "Would you like a hug?"

 

"Please...?"Sora asked, trying not to cry again. The baby could sense that it's 'mother' was in distress, kicking more gently.

"FOR THE LOVE OF THE SECOND COMING OF JHOTO!"Valerie's sudden outburst nearly spooked Riku into letting go. He regained his grip."What happened, pup?"he asked. "Couldn't Gexln had just....used a portal to get us there?"Valerie asked. "Yeah, but why do it the lazy way?"Riku asked.

 

Jeffrey walked up to the Keyblade Wielder and hugged him, patting him softly on the back. "It'll be alright," he said. "There's no way that'll happen. Everything will be fine when the time comes."
