Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

"Oh, hello Shadow. I'm this heart's New Darkness. Didn't you ever wonder what the keyhole did? Replaced her heart. Light and Darkness working together. Just the perfect thing for that special terrible wonderful X-Blade." The Darkness crooned at the little memory. "Darlin, that thing is beautiful when complete."
Eden furrowed her brow, trying to figure out this voice within her, though at the same time focusing on her mission. "Huh, well, Australia is home to two people I respect and adore."

 

Valeries cheeks were still sparking its "danger" color. "Whoever you are, show yourself!"Sora snapped, looking around. He gave a small huff as the baby roughly kicked him. Not now, little one...

"X...blade...."Riku hadn't heard that much about the weapon, only that it was very powerful and supposedly made for destructive purposes. "What do you want with a weapon like that?!" he asked.

 

"Want? It is Power. My brother will even agree. Right now, child, your King's key was the only thing we could do. We coaxed that little thing into protecting our wielder. To be quite honest, do you know what it does? It changes between three forms. There is the Base, Her. Then there is the Offensive, my brother of Light. And then guess what that other one was? Me. I am the defensive. Not all darkness is bad, sugar. You just hanged around with the bottom feeders. Like the kind in Australia. It's disgusting, I would never even think to walk through that."
Eden froze as she heard of the X-Blade. "The most powerful destructive key. Vanitas and Ventus were going to be sacrificed to forge it and start another Keyblade War that would end everything..."

 

"We can't let that happen again.... We WON'T let that happen again..."Riku growled.

 

The petite darkness yawned. "Like would bring that back into the worlds when we have a baby of a wielder? Ha! You must be mad." She suavely walked over to Riku, sizing him up with her steady eyes. "You, however, was tainted by the filthy sludge. I apologize heartily." She then chose her next words about the x-blade carefully. "The X-Blade. It is a destructive war force... but so if just the Keyblade. All depends on the hands of the person using it. I want to us to possibly nibble on the power, do something that would make others other then brother Light fear me."
Eden softened. but still trudged through the dark sludge, finding it harder to move.

 

Riku kept a cold glare, staying on the defensive. "And why should I believe you won't try to do anything more sinister?"he asked.

 

"How dare you! I have done nothing wrong!" The petite darkness snarled. "I have helped her! We have saved her heart, revived her memories, and even gave her the ability to fight! I made sure that she could have a defensive keyblade. WE had made sure she was like one of the few role models in these ill times."

 

Riku went quiet. "I... guess you can be trusted for now..."he muttered. "but if you try anything funny....."

 

"You've had no reason to distrust me. I am indeed Darkness, but that doesn't mean I am all that is evil with her. I am her desires, I am her fears, I am the her that she hid within herself. He is everything I am not. That doesn't mean I am evil. " The Darkness paused, finding herself too harsh now. "Dear. What I mean is. I am not bad. I am just Darkness, the thing that hides all pain and fear, or even happiness and joy. He... He is her brave. He is her willingness to protect, and her ferocity of a thousand suns. He is her anger and coldness, her stoic and harshness. So do not forget. Your darkness and I are very different."

 

"I...see..."Riku frowned. When he though about his darkness, he couldn't help but feel like he would never get his body back....

 

"Your darkness... He is interesting. I could only imagine what your Light holds within you. Maybe you take after more feminine qualities, like water, or Earth, as your name means land. Sora takes after the more... and I'll use this term lightly, "masculine", as he controls more fire, yes? Air, is quite masculine as well." The darkness smirked. She shifted closer to Riku, quite shorter, running a hand through his silver imaged hair. It wasn't trying to play on him or anything, she liked the color.

 

Riku looked away as the darkness touched his hair, trying to hide the fact that he was upset. He didn't want to talk about it...and he know if he started thinking about it he'd be heard anyway....

 

"You do realize there is little to hide, yes? I am everything hidden within Eden. I am good at secrets." The Darkness gave a small smile, putting a dainty hand on his shoulder.

 

"So, Eden, i'm guessing you're the one that's going to seal the keyhole, correct?" Gexln questioned.

Gregory was getting cramps. Soon he'd have to stand up, regardless of whether he had the element of suprise or not. "Curse my poor durability" he scoffed quietly.

 

Eden shrugged. "I don't care, as long as it gets done." her stoic demeanor hid the mini panic, but again she trudged on, through the dark sludge was hard to move through knee deep.

 

"Well, it'd have to be you or the her" Gexln said, pointing at Kairi. "Despite being able to wield a keyblade, i'm not so sure i could seal a keyhole..i just wouldn't have the heart for it" Gexln said, chuckling quietly at his own joke.

 

"Aye, and by your power, I don't believe you'd be best for the job anyway. We'll have to have Kairi do it. She's a Princess of Heart, so her pure heart could probably purify everything." Eden glanced at Kairi once more, sighing on how frail her figure was. She'd honestly rather Belle be with her, she had more gusto.

 

Gexln looked at Kairi. "Doesn't look too dangerous though. Has that sort of girly girl look about her. Don't tell me we're going to be dragging her through with us?" Gexln complained.

 

"Yes, she is the Princess of Pure Heart. Someone like her is perfect to seal and purify the Keyhole." Eden kept trudging, it was tiring to keep walking through the sludge. "I hate this ick."

 

"I am perfectly fine. Just can't wait to get my body back...however we ARE going to get my body back..."Riku huffed.

"You can't stay hidden forever, you know. Just save yourself the trouble and come on out of hiding."Valerie sighed, starting to get annoyed. "I don't think he or she is going to come out..."Sora huffed.
