Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

Valerie was standing in the rain, allowing herself to get soaking wet. "I...hate...being..in the rain."she huffed. Sora stopped to take a quick break, taking an ether. He took a sip, the ether tasting a bit like apple juice.

 

Gregory nimbly dodge rolled backwards, out of harms way. He then looked at the sky, his eyes following the clouds and then coming to rest on a group of people standing a small distance away. "More people....this day becomes more fun by the very second" he said with a sly grin.

Gexln's blade cut through the air, narrowly missing Gregory, but a miss nonetheless. He then followed Gregory's gaze, his eyes recognising the group of people. "So THAT'S where they've been this whole time" he said to himself quietly. He turned around to look at Gregory, who was still wondering why the people were there. With a loud roar, Gexln sprinted straight into Gregory and delivered a painful kick to the skull.

Gregory went flying backwards, head spinning from the impact. He stood up quickly however. "Enough playing around" he said. Two black, feathered wings emerged from two holes in his jacket. "Better keep your eye on the birdie" he said as he used his wings to propel himself forwards towards Gexln at a high speed.

Is the keyhole going to appear anytime soon? I have an idea!

 

Eden looked to the sky, feeling chilled even with male clothes on. She rubbed her arms, gathering heat, and it was starting to get harder to breathe a bit from being at such a height compared to her salty sea levelled home. Slowly, but surely, the rain poured in, allowing the salt flats to fill and their mirror image showing.

 

"Woooow..."Sora stopped the water spells, looking at the reflections. "Beautiful..."Valerie said in awe.

 

Eden stared out the vast salt plains, checking for anything odd. She slid down the hilly flats to the flat solid land, getting a better look. She looked everywhere, trying to pinpoint where the keyhole might be. Her vision may be obscured by near sightedness, but locating things was a small challenge to her.

 

The impact of Gregory slamming into Gexln knocked Gexln off his feet. Gregory followed through with a swift kick to the stomach, sending Gexln crashing backwards. Gregory took one look at Sora's keyblade, wondering what it could be. That looks dangerous...it could very well help me if i took it he thought as he began to rush towards them. Right as he began to close the gap between them a dark corridor appeared and Gexln dove out of it, crashing into Gregory.

Gexln punched Gregory in the face furiously. "Keep. Away!" he yelled angrily, punching again.
Gregory blocked the punch and rolled backwards, immeditately standing up. He small trickle of blood was running from his nose. "Oh you're going to pay for that. You're ALL going to pay for that!" he yelled furiously.

 

Sora took Oblivion, using the blade as a guide to where the keyhole was. Valerie's cheeks sparked with electricity, her body almost like a radar.

 

Eden noticed a sliver of a shape, quickly running to it and disturbing the waters. It was the image of a Keyhole. "So, Shadow, how does one seal this anyway?"

 

"Just hold out the keyblade. Thats what does all the work."Riku explained. "I'll do it..."Sora sighed. "Oh no. Let E-chan do it. She just got the keyblade anyway."Valerie said.

 

Eden gulped, nervous. She held out her Reversed Kingdom Key, feeling it suddenly go lighter in her arms. The sky cleared up, revealing the invisible Keyhole of South America. A small, trickling light came from the end of her great Key, trying to find the strength in it's wielder's heart to perform what it was meant to do. The Wielder swallowed her fear, remembering the people she lost and will lose if she doesn't seal the keyhole. The great Key responded to the great vigor of it's master and with great gusto, sealed the Keyhole.

 

Gregory ran straight at Gexln, aiming a strike with his fist above Gexln's head.
Instinctively, Gexln ducked underneath the strike. However, Gregory had planned for this. He leapt over Gexln, using his wings to propel himself forward. Within mere moments he had closed the gap between himself and Sora, his eyes on the keyblade. A small trickle of electricity ran along his hand as he attempted to jab his hand into Sora's stomach. Gexln stood up, realizing he had been tricked. Grim determination set in his eyes. Turning around, he began sprinting towards Gregory as fast as he could with his blade in hand.

 

"Wooo~ Way to go Eden!"Valerie cheered. Sora took a look around as if looking for someone. "well there goes your theory of the keyhole being able to get Rikus body back, Valerie..."he sighed. "hey, it was just a suggestion."Valerie said.

 

Jeffrey sighed. "Well, it was worth a try," he said. He put his hands behind his head. "Now what do we do? Are we leaving Earth?"

 

Eden shook her head, a little dizzy from such bright lights as... "Sora? Sora!" She noticed the newly approached boy trying to stab Sora in the stomach, blocking him. Her key took on a new form, as her anger flared to protect what little she had. "Get away!" Fire sparked, her anger great and terrifying.

 

Sora yelped as the two fighting came close to hitting him, the baby going into a panic. He cast a quick protect spell, taking Oblivion into an offensive position. "Oy! Break it up you two!"Valerie wasn't quite sure what the fight was about, but she knew that Sora and the baby were in danger,

 

"Oh so you want to fight do you?" Gregory taunted, laughing. He couldn't help but notice that Eden had a keyblade too. There's another one of those...those...those key things, he thought. "Allow me to relieve you of your weapon" he said, spinning around in an attempt to roundhouse kick Eden.

Gexln was right near Gregory, in a few moments he could strike. And boy am i going to strike he thought coldly.

 

Eden growled, she would keep this boy blocked. "A Keyblade? It is not something you simply obtain. You cannot earn it either. You must be worthy to wield this." Her glare intensified. "One must be pure of heart. One must be chosen by the Key themselves."

 

"Why do you want a keyblade anyway?!"Valerie asked. Sora was on the offensive in case they tried to attack him. "Sora, get back to the gummi ship..."Rikus voice rang in his head. But Riku-! "Its too dangerous. Everyone else can handle it..."

 

"HA! Worthy? There is nobody more worthy than me! You're all NOTHING compared to me, so throw down your weapons and su-" he started to say before he was knocked to the ground.

Gexln quickly got up, having kicked Gregory in the back. "And THATS for tricking me, you lying little *****!" he yelled.
Gregory stood up and took a few steps back so that he wasn't surrounded, then glared at Gexln. "YOU" was all he said.
