Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

"If it's a memory about when I was a monster that couldn't control myself, then I'll pass..."Riku frowned. Sora was muttering about something, rubbing his stomach. "You know, getting back up is going to be twice as hard as getting down."Valerie chuckled.

 

"No no, I won't show you the memories of that. Look at this memory." Eden pointed to a memory of how a keyblade had come to her call, and her fire magic showing. "I still need to learn how to control these things..." she muttered. Her form faded, waking up.
"Sora... Val?" Eden groggily stood up, still tired with little sleep, but needing to walk around. Her rag of a shirt was barely covering her undergarment anyway. "I'm gonna go head out and scavenge for clothes. Valerie, Jeffery, take care of Sora. If I'm not back in an hour, look for me. I'm not going to have Riku lost because I was alone. He is more important to this mission, other then Sora. We're consumables. So, later." And she headed off, ready to raid the first place she could.

 

"Be safe!"Sora cried to Eden as she ran off. "...what just happened?"Valerie was a bit confused. Riku was staying in place, still a bit depressed.

 

"She said she was going to look for clothes," Jeffrey told her, "but I think she wants some alone time." He yawned. "I, on the other hand, need some sleep..."

 

Eden found a small store, having encountered now heartless on the way. "Riku, please, you were distracted. Now stop moping, and tell me how to call a keyblade." she muttered to herself. She wouldn't a sniveling mentor in her heart.

 

"Sleep time is now..."Valerie said. She noticed Sora going against a tree for support as he tried to get up on his own. Sora yelped, falling back onto his butt. he turned a bright red in embarassment. "A-Alittle help? Natures gotta take its course over here..."he muttered. "Okay...TMI on that last bit Sora."Valerie said.

Riku sighed, deciding that he might as well help her. "It takes focus, concentration. I don't know how the hell you're able to weild one but you have to have a strong heart...Hmm...."he paced around, thinking of how to explain it.

 

"A very pained heart. I lost two lives today, Nexas in my arms, Andrew in front of my eyes..." Her mouth went dry at remembering that. She forced it away, concentrating on the keyblade. At the moment, it was the King's Keyblade, as there were no enemies to fight or defend against. "It takes a push, and the will to protect anyone even if it costs yourself."

 

"Basically.... Hmm, how did it go again..."Riku was still pacing, trying to remember something. He snapped his fingers when he remembered. "In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking.... Its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend...no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above. So long as you champion the ones you love...."He trailed off.

"Sora... He must've been devastasted to find out I turned into a heartless... But he didn't lose the baby, that's a good sign..."

Sora finnaly got to his feet, going off. "So Kairi. I'm suprised. I thought you would've been ecstatic about all of this. But you've been shockingly calm."Valerie said, talking to Kairi about Sora's pregnancy.

 

"Why would I need that speech?" Eden grumbled, looking at the key. "I already have it in my hand. See? Right here, ready to slay." she seemed to be very bitter still, looking about the place to find a bathroom, working water, and after some scavenging, clean clothes. "Little big, but will do." she muttered, the key dismissing itself. " Ri, you'll need to look away a while."

 

"Like I'd WANT to see a girl get dressed?"Riku lifted an eyebrow, but covered his eyes anyway.

 

Jeffrey was out like a light. "You should have been there when I first found out," Kairi replied. "I could barely speak. But now, I'm more worried about the strain this is putting on him..."

 

"Sora will pull through. Baby's being really rough on him though. Just think, he's only halfway through the pregnancy."Valerie couldn't help but giggle. "It's so cute to see him like this though. The 'chosen' keyblade weilder with a big belly and a baby on the way."she giggled more. "He's so embarassed about it though."she sighed.

 

After some time getting undressed, but reserving some undergarments as none were found in her size, she had taken the first shower in what seemed like ages. She quenched her parched throat from the crisp water, and quickly got dressed after the 5 minute shower. Her clothes were clinging to her body due to the water still on her skin. She dried her hair with a towel, brushing it out with a stranger's comb. "There we are. Clean as I'll ever get in the next few weeks. You can look now." She looked around, raiding for food in the home. A lot of foods and snacks seemed familiar to her, and others weren't, so she could to have the fruits and stocked up on anything possible and put it into a small backpack that most likely belonged to an adolescent boy, as were her clothes. She didn't mind, as she had once worn her cousins' clothes for pajamas as a child, and she couldn't be picky during these times.

 

"Try and find something that'll fit Sora. He can't wear his enchanted clothes forever, it's a bit unsanitary."Riku said, seeing Eden getting more supplies.

 

"True," Kairi giggled. "I hope we'll be able to go back to the Islands, even if just for a bit after the baby's born. Maybe even have it be their first sight."

 

Eden shrugged. "Couldn't find a lot. Male house. Mother might not being around." She looked around, finding some clothes to fit an older, skinny father. "Well, food's the best we've got. Let's head back before they worry." She started heading back, noticing it was nearly night and heartless were starting to appear more frequently. "Dammit." With some fierce concentration, she summoned forth her keyblade, different then the last.

"That'd be amaziing.... We have 4 months to go. Who knows, the baby might be able to be born on Destiny Islands like his or her parents."Valerie paused. "OOH! What do you think the baby's going to be? a Boy or a girl?"she smiled at the thought. "What are you talking about...?"Sora came back from, not hearing the girls conversation. "um...Nooothiiing."Valerie said nervously. Sora rolled his eyes, leaning against the tree trunk and not even bothering to sit down. He hissed a bit, feeling a bit of discomfort in his body.

"Be careful...."Riku said, a bit concerned.

 

"Just some... girl stuff," Kairi giggled. Jeffrey slowly opened his eyes and yawned. "Well, I got a catnap," he said. "Better than nothing."

 

Eden nodded, slaying a few heartless with the red heated metal. It wasn't hard really, maybe since there were only shadows popping up here and there. It didn't take too long to head back. "I'm back, got some food. Better then elixirs." she laid down her back-pack, showing her catch. Mostly canned food, fruit, and some snacks. "Eat up the perishables now." she almost ordered, taking a few pears and apples for herself.

 

"Foooood~"Valerie went over to the food, going into the fruit and snacks. Sora gave a small chuckle, going over to the food to grab some of the cans. Riku was watching everyone eat, keeping a careful watch on Sora. Oh Sora....
