Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

Eden watched the door, raising herself from the bed. "I don't know... But I do hope they are not in trouble." Her stare was somber, just mellow. "I almost think we should go out there... but I have a feeling it would not help us." She took out her cards, shuffling them idly. "You know, these have more than a purpose other than a weapon."

 

"Can they teleport us somewhere while we wait for them?"Kurix asked. He gave a small chuckle. "I'm kidding... but I am curious."he said.

"Are we there yet? Port Royal was not this far from Radiant Garden in the game..."Valerie groaned. "We are not there yet. and this is not a video game.."Riku huffed. "I will admit this is taking a while. Can't you fly faster, Ri?"Sora asked. "Did I ask for a backseat flyer?"Riku huffed. "Well, it IS a girls job."Sora joked, looking to Valerie. "Hey! Kairi and Nami are here too!"Valerie protested.

ooc: Sorry! Things have been going on leaving no motivation for this
and Glen's dealing with stuff so he's stressed and needs down time
bic: Eden shrugged, walking to the map of the worlds. She trailed her finger to the End, where they would hop to a new universe. She shivered at the thought. "I'm kinda worried you know... Something about going to a new universe doesn't settle my stomach."

 

"I don't think I can blame you for that. But if you're so nervous about it, why not just stay in this universe?"Kurix suggested. "I mean... I probably don't have any say in the matter...But Valerie doesn't seem like she'd be too happy leaving the adventure. Staying might make her at least alittle less stubborn..."Kurix admitted, a bit nervous.

Meanwhile, Valerie was pretty much bored out of her mind as they came close to Radiant Garden. "Alright, I give. Why don't you go read a book or something?"Riku asked. "what? I'd rather risk it fighting a bunch of neoshadows solo."Valerie fake gagged, making Sora let out a slight chuckle. "Reading isn't that bad, Valerie. Haven't you ever read a book that you liked?"he asked. "Not a real book..."Valerie said. "and you guys are one to talk. Adventurers don't have time to read!" "Please. before this we hadn't been 'adventurers' for two years."Riku rolled his eyes.

"Fine..."Valerie sighed. Its not like they'd do any adventuring for the rest of the journey in her mind.

 

"It is not that I don't want to go to a new universe, but I am also frightened of the unknown. Like, what if we see our parallel selves? Like... One that's all spooky and grimdark, and I have to pacify myself in order to stop her? Me? Whatever. Nevermind." With a small ruffle of her hair, she annoyingly sighed, sitting in the captain's chair. "I just don't want to end up in an alternate universe where we are murderers." Eden heavily arose, putting a kettle of water to a flame. "I'm making tea, you want? It'll calm the nerves."

 

"Sure. You need it more than I do now, though."Kurix couldn't help but chuckle. "S-Sorry about earlier. I dunno why but... talking around you makes me really nervous. It's not that I don't like you, you're really great after a while. Its just... I dunno. I just feel more comfy talking with Sora...Roxas...Jeffrey, Gexln....heck, even that stubborn goat Riku."Kurix shrugged.

"Now approaching Radiant Garden."The gummis announcer said. "Finna....finn...."Riku suddenly sneezed. "whoa, bless you!"Sora shielded Kisa from the sneeze, seeing the infants pure blue eyes exploring the gummi ship. "woo-hoo..."Valerie said, finnaly glad to be landing in Radiant Garden soon.

 

"Why is that?" With the kettle whistling, after a few short minutes, she easily put some sort of tiny balls that produced a heavy scent into a metal mesh filter of a teapot. Pouring in the hot water, she allowed the tea to steep for a few minutes for flavor. "I... I don't want to hurt you. I have no reason to."

 

"I know its just... with you, Kairi, Namine...even Val. I just feel...nervous. Like I'll say something wrong. and Its like... I'm out of a comfort zone...if that makes sense for a nobody to have that..."Kurix said. "Roxas told me... nobodies sometimes develop a different personallity from their somebodies... I hope my somebody wasn't nervous like I am..."he said. what he didn't know was the irony of the factor of him being nervous around girls.

 

"Oh... I see." Giving Kurix a cup of the steamy brew, she added honey to hers. With a hesitant sip, she thought back to the past she had. "I... I dunno... I'm really starting to miss everyone again."

 

"Well, as soon as Roxas and Gexln come back we can go to Radiant Garden to meet up with them!"Kurix said. "Unless... Riku and his group isn't who you're talking about..."he said, looking at his tea.

 

"No... I miss my people. The ones I talked to everyday... I made such lovely friends. I wonder if they're alright..." Eden sighed, sipping quietly at her tea.

 

"I-I wouldn't know. I heard you guys talking about Earth, but I wasn't around during that time. I-I'm sure everyone there is alright. I mean, they don't have to worry about Heartless anymore, right?"Kurix tried to lighten the mood. "I-I'm probably not helping much though... M-Maybe being around the other would help cheer you up..."he was really hoping Roxas would come in with Gexln soon.

 

"It is about Earth... yes..." Eden nodded slightly, thinking as she swirled her tea lightly. "Though, if I wanted to, I could go back home. I don't have the Keyblade to weigh me down."

 

"Wouldn't you miss us, though?"Kurix asked. "I mean... I wouldn't stop you from going home but... you'd be missing out on a great adventure..."he couldn't help the smile.

 

Eden shook her head, slowly. She was visibly shaking out of some sort of fear. "It is just... Before you came here Kurix, we were a bit of a bitter group. One by one... Two. One died in my arms, another died in front of my eyes." A small sniffle was heard. "And I don't know what happened to the others. They must be dead by now."

 

"H-Hey.... I-I didn't mean to...."Kurix frowned. "D-Don't cry...I-I shouldn't have said anything...oh, what to do..."He looked around the gummi ship.

 

With a heaving breath, Eden calmed herself down. She put down her tea and curled into her knees. "It is a hard thing to remember." she choked.

 

"Sorry...."Kurix muttered. "I-I don't think Roxas and Gexln are coming back anytime soon...b-but I don't really know how to fly a gummi ship...hmm..."he started to think of a solution.

 

"It does seem that our nobodies aren't showing up..." she mumbled with some hesitance. "I don't want to leave them alone on this world, however." Getting up, she took a few steps towards the door, but not before checkinf her pockets. Pulling out her deck, she checked her Strength card. It seemed to be fully charged for another round, releasing a red charge that circled itself around Eden's arms. She then pulled out another card, putting it in the other pocket. She pulled out another card, which split itself and formed two cutlasses into the pyro's hands. "I'll be back." She rushed out, the first step outside causing a heavy sweat on her brow.

 

"Wha-hey!"Kurix was a bit suprised when Eden suddenly left. "Oh boy.... Now what...?"He gave a small nervous gulp, not sure whether to follow or to wait.
