Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

OOC: Throwing a projectile at a vortex sort of thing? Basic science val..
IC: The daggers bounced off Gexln as he spun rapidly, the sheer force of the vortex repelling them. He continued the movement towards Sora and crashed against the barrier, his force trying to overcome that of the barrier.

 

OOC:Video game logic fail, I guess.XD
BIC:Sora and Riku winced, but kept up the barriers. Valerie gasped, using magic to draw back her daggers. "Okay, that didn't work."she remembered that Gexln had fought Blaige. He certainly couldn't keep the spink for long. "protect!"she tried to help Sora and Riku hold the barrier, hoping it would last until Gexln was low on energy.

 

Gexln quickly stopped the tornado-like attack, realising it would drain energy more than do damage. He took a step back and calmly waited. Either they would drop the barrier and become vulnerable, or they would keep it up, keep safe, but run out of energy and drop it eventually anyway.

 

Valerie broke out of the barrier first, firing a thunder spell at Gexln. The plan to go in a cycle to weaken Gexln more to the point of where they could take him down easier.

 

Equius rammed his head into Valerie to block her off from Gexln. He gave a hard stare at her, going to try to keep Gexln safe,

 

"Equius, please!"Valerie dodged the chocobo. Riku growled, cutting off the protect spell and leaving it to Sora. "Bind!"he tried to cast a bind spell to keep the bird at bay without hurting it too much.

 

With a great 'wark!' of surprise, he kept snapping at the magic vines in the hopes of tearing them apart.

"TERRA!" Eden screamed, the soft static whispers she once held turning into great electric shrieks.

 

Gexln rolled to his side to avoid the thunder spell, and then began hacking at the vines with precision to free Equius.

 

"Craaap..."Sora dropped the barrier for now, Riku and Sora both joining Valerie in going after Gexln. "Fira!"Sora shot a medium fireball at Gexln, trying to distract him. Riku launched a Blizzara, Valerie trying to calm down Equius still.

 

Gexln turned to look at Sora, not remembering to keep his guard up. He took the full brunt of the fireball, and was knocked back out of the path of the Blizzara. He closed his eyes in determination and got up. He then opened his eyes, and only was it apparent just how fast the effects of the seed of darkness were happening. His eyes were pitch black in colour.

OOC: Eden, i'm not quite sure how this possession thingy works. Could you explain?

 

ooc: The "possession" isn't really what you think! It's quite opposite! Er.... that is to say, it's not so much POSSESSION as it is an ARTIFICIAL HEART. The problem with it though is that it's made of Xehanort's darkness, so he can control it, and kill you from the inside with it!.... If it wasn't already. Since an artificial heart is in itself impossible, one of a tainted darkness housed within a pure dark body would only kill one from the inside due to the body receiving it as a sort of "cancer!"
BIC: You smirk, feeling his consciousness in your reach. But a slight pain comes to you, extremely dull, but one that was very real. Viewing the world through his eyes, just watching, you notice the Keybearer. "Go! Take him! Bring the Keybearers!" You seem quite excited by the idea of Riku or Sora as a body. But you almost forgot the pain, stemming from your seed.

 

Gexln crouched down on the ground for a brief moment, gathering his strength. Then, quite quickly, he leapt high into the air, did a somersault, and came down slamming both the Shadow Keyblade and Darkness' Sorrow upon Sora.

 

"No!"Riku jumped in, trying to block them both. Sora gasped in shock as Darkness' Sorrow struck Riku in the side. "Riku!"he frowned in concern. Riku winced at the pain, but striked a good blow at Gexln with Way to Dawn. "Riku!"Valerie was suprised how bad the blow was. "Equius.... please, Gexln's not himself. You have to help us...Please..."she was pleading, but she knew the chocobo wasn't understanding her.

 

Gexln took the strike in the side, collapsing to the ground on one knee momentarily. A small patch of blood appeared on his cloak as he dropped the Shadow Keyblade onto the ground. He held onto Darkness' Sorrow and desperately swung out with it at Sora's leg, weak but not yet defeated.

 

Sora held in a hiss at the strike to his leg, but responded with a good blow with Oblivion in return. Since he didn't want it to be fatal, Sora tried aiming for a weak spot that would knock Gexln out but not kill him. Valerie looked at the battle, shuddering at the sight of blood.

 

Gexln, again, took the hit. He was barely conscious now. In a few moments he wouldn't be conscious, and as such he wouldn't be able to control the darkness within. He made one last, immature gesture by flipping Sora off, and then passed out on the ground.

 

OOC:Very nice gesture to the keyblade master, dude.XD
BIC: "Is it over...?"Valerie edged closer. Riku nodded, holding the injury on his side. "Are you okay...?"Sora asked. Riku nodded, taking some bandages from his bag. Valerie watched in awe as Riku tended to his and Sora's injuries. "So what do we do about Gexln...?"she asked. "I dunno... I don't like whats been happening though. It reeks evil plans."Sora said. Riku said nothing, just gave a small groan as he bopped Sora in the back of the head.

IC: Gexln's body started writhing around, the darkness within, no longer held back by Gexln, beginning to break free. After a few seconds of twitching and rolling around on the ground, Gexln's body slowly stood up. It had entered Dark Form of its own free will and abandoned the weapons Gexln carried on the ground. The Darkness lifted back its head, and released a terrifyingly inhumane laugh. "Finally! This accursed body imprisons me no more!" it yelled. Not even hesitating for a moment, it released a dark firaga from Gexln's mouth, headed in the direction of the Gummi Ship.

 

"NO!"Sora and Riku gasped at the dark firaga. "Protect!"Roxas tried casting a shield to block the attack to the gummi, only to be hit with the full force. "Roxas!"Kurix gasped, seeing Roxas being blown back by the dark firaga. "Oohhh, we're fudged."Valerie squeaked.

 

Equius stepped back, surprised by the sudden change of Gexln's character. He sounded different, and there seemed to be some great physical change to him as well. He puffed up his feathers, charging at Gexln in an attempt to knock him out while he was distracted by the other wielders.
