In order to be back to your regular form, you must have your heartless and nobody 'dead', in that order.
Unless I'm seriously missing something, Axel 'died' and Sora didin't defeat his heartless before his nobody died so it's impossible for hm to come back.

i hope terra was not destroyed but it sure seems like it, yen sid said that only master xehanort was coming back. i was kinda hoping there was something left of xemnas though i wanted to see him on the ps3.

Hm, maybe "Reconnect" is a reference to Xehanort becoming whole again, reconnecting. Maybe he isn't the only one, maybe we'll see some org. members reconnect as well.

Xehanort again?!!! He was a bit hard in KH BBS, very tough in KH1, and took me a while in KH2! I dont mind putting a end to him in KH3!! Just die already!!!! Ahahaha! Sorry for my little RPG break down lol. Anyway KH3D is a bit hard to say but some people say its KH 2.5 and after that its KH3. Sadly to say KH3 wont come till another 5 or 6 years because Final Fantasy is in the way. The PS3 is region free so I am soooo ganna import it :D

Well lets see. 3D might just be the test itself for both of them, they'll probably both pass (or just Sora, Riku's kinda iffy cuz of the whole darkness thing)...then they'll split up to take Xehanort from two sides. Sora with Donald and Goofy, and Riku with Mickey. Hopefully it'll be on a Sony system...and maybe they'll go back to the command setting like they had in KH2 or something...Xehanort said he had other plans, so yeah he'll be back...in a much younger form...now all they have to do is get Aqua back so they can get Ven back so they can fight Xehanort and get Terra his body back...

Only a few things are puzzling my mind right now:

1. Mickey says they know where Ven's heart is and Yen Sid says that they still need to find Terra's. Does this mean they know where Aqua is?
2. Is Yen Sid refering to himself or to Mickey about being a Keyblade Master?\
3. Xehanort not being alone - Braig perhaps?

Also, has anyone ever thought that the Fire Lord in KH2 was Lea/Axel's heartless?

I think I can answer your questions:
1) I think they're aware, but they're not able to do anything about it...
2) He's refering to Mickey, Yen-sid is retired and Yen-Sid was his successor...
3) Braig and perhaps the rest of the organization members, if Sora's destroyed each heartless...or perhaps Roxas did...

Idk if the Firelord was Axel's heartless because the only thing they had in common was their power over fire...

And I think that when Nomura said to pay attention to somebody else 'cause they're the main part of the story. I feel like its either, Riku, Terra, or Master Xehanort. But Nomura said it's only one of them... Hmm.
And I think they should make KH3 or KH3D(Reconnect:Kingdom Hearts) 2-6 player for xbox live or PSN or w.e and 2-4 players for just home play. (choice of Sora, Riku, Ven, Terra, Aqua & Mickey)

Wow, my Theory Meter is going through the roof right now.

So, Mickey now knows where Ventus's heart is, and they have yet to find Terra. That must mean Aqua's location has been determined already. I have a feeling that she will need to be rescued first because only she knows where Ven's body is located in Castle Oblivion, and she can take Sora there.

I also have a feeling that KH3D emcompasses the Mark of Mastery exam for Sora and Riku, but one thing that still boggles my mind is the fact that Sora and Riku have seemingly regressed a year, considering KH3D is said to take place after Coded. The only option I can think of at the moment is time travel...which leads me to our dear new friend, Mysterious Figure, who just so happens to manipulate time himself. I'm thinking perhaps he is an aquaintance of Yen Sid, the one who puts Sora and Riku to the test, and the final boss of KH3D.

These are just a few wild stabs but I have high hopes about them. ^_^
