Fans have been waiting for more news regarding KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep, but now another title has been confirmed for the series.

Today, the official Twitter for Square-Enix (EU) has confirmed their line up list for E3 2010.

We have found out that KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded will in fact be showcased at E3 2010. Along with founding out this announcement, KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded is set for the Nintendo DS.

You have heard it here first!
Sora's journey in KINGDOM HEARTS II has drawn to a close, and now a new tale is set to begin. Jiminy Cricket is looking over the journal he used to document his first adventure with Sora when he discovers a mysterious message. He didn't write it — so how on earth did it get there? King Mickey is determined to find out, so he and his friends decide to digitize the journal and delve into its deepest secrets. Inside this "datascape" dwells a second Sora who is about to embark on a grand adventure of his very own.

In this months game informer, Nomura said that this is one of the 2 games. So there will be one more game with a unique story. So with the 1 game per year, I'd assume that 2009 was Days, 2010 will be Birth by Sleep, 2011 will be Re:coded, and 2012 will be the unanounced title, 2013 will be like a Birth by Sleep final mix, and 2014 will be KHIII. But hey, I'm just making up educated guesses lol.

It's for the reason of us never getting Re:CoM released over here that most of us questioned about a possible EU/UK release of Re:Coded, we still do and most likely always will remain left out on that...*sigh* ahh well.

I'm kinda glad that they are making Re:Coded for the DS instead of a cell phone so everyone outside Japan can understand what happens in that game, even though the plot of Coded is a little weird in my opinion.

And I hope this time we get a Rounded- KH , KH2 like Health bar...
Days health bar was a bit odd .-.

      1. 358/2 Days was good. It didn't suck by any means. It might not have been as good as other KH games, but it was still a good game nonetheless.

      2. The reasons you don't like the game you mentioned in a different post (missions, Xion, etc) have nothing to do with the system it's on. That's the fault of the developers adding those things, not the fault of it being on the DS.

      3. The DS can do more for Coded than a cell phone could anyways, and Coded isn't enough of a game in my opinion to need to be on the PSP.

      1. I totally disagree. I thought it was a very bad game. I didn't have any fun playing it. I didn't even enjoy the story. Honestly, I thought it was one of the most tedious games I have ever played. If you have a different opinion, fine. That's your right. That's why it's called an opinion.

      2. I also disagree here. No, my intense dislike of Xion doesn't have anything to do with the system. But the developers were severely handicapped by the limitations of the DS. Therefore missions had to be shorter, and the ability to tell stories in the different worlds was limited to tedious text boxes.

      3. I actually agree. If they were going to put a game on the DS, I'm glad it was Coded and not Birth by Sleep.

Seriously, I'm not trying to insult anyone's honor or tell them that their opinion is wrong. This is just my personal opinion. I did not like 358/2 Days and I'm not looking forward to re:Coded. Sorry if anyone is insulted by this. But really, that's your problem and not mine. *shrug*

Since this is for a game system instead of a cell phone, we'll likely not get all these "episode" things and the entire game will be on one cartridge.

I wonder how this game will utilize the DS's touch screen.

Chances are that it'll be like Days and it won't. Or like with the combos where you press numbers on the phone, we'd get that on the touch screen instead. But I hope not.

Has anyone else noticed that it was the EU Square Enix twitter that tweeted this. That means it'll be coming out in Europe surely!

That's awesome that they're going to release it in the states. I'm still not happy about the so-late release of Birth By Sleep, but at least we're getting what's worth the wait.

Oh, yay~ Finally getting a decent game to make up for Days and it's idiotic waste of space. We'll just have to wait and see if Coded is that game, or if the US/UK localization of BBS is that one.

      Everyone, listen.

Like it or not, Days is Canon. You can't deny that it exists and is part of the overall atory of the games. Please, stop whining about how much it may of may not have sucked. That's not what this thread is for.

EDIT: Ohshi- I think I just backseat modded. Sorry.

Like people said before I guess we need Coded to understand KHIII, which we all know is coming out...eventually.
Truth: The DS is not the most ideal gaming system, but after seeing Days I'm sure the developers of Coded will make the best of it's limited abilities. Let's face it the DS is no PSP or PS2.
I would just wait and see what happens, we get Coded on a legit gaming system instead of a mobile phone so it has to be better in some respects.

I'm glad that its going on the DS! I don't think Coded is that long of a game since it was made for a phone. But I'm hoping that its longer on the DS then on the phone.
