Kingdom Hearts: Quiet's End

Again, Kairi utilized her dodge roll, but she couldn't last like this forever. Come on, Sora! She had to get the guests out, but how? She couldn't jump off the balcony and attack the man from the ground, she would be killed. He was very powerful. But perhaps she could get him to chase her. Rolling towards the center of the balcony, she went through the door and into the secret passage. Once inside, she took off running. She had to get through the passage and into the foyer before the stranger caught up to her, because the space was so small, not good for fighting. She turned a corner and ran down a lons straight passage until she reached a hole in the wall, and jumped down into the foyer below. She had been planning to run for the front door, get outside where there was more space, but her knees buckled under her and she stumbled. She wasn't as young as she once was, she couldn't jump from high places any more. She didn't have time to get to the front door now, the stranger was probably right behind her, so she turned to be ready to face him when he came.

Riku suddenly felt a strange tugging at his heart, as if someone were trying to get into it from the outside. Was... was Sora trying to contact him? He opened his heart and the strangest ssensation he'd ever felt filled his heart. It was like there were two hearts inside him, but one was only a shadow, a passing message. Kairi... danger... castle... the message was weak and fragmented, but he could tell it was from Sora, and he knew that Kairi was in danger in some sort of castle. "Listen," he told the girl. "I have to go, one of my friends needs me. Do you wanna come? I could sure use the help." He opened a dark portal behind him to a castle, he wasn't sure which one, so he let his heart decide. Then he held out his hand so the girl could come if she wanted.

 

R didn't give pursuit right away, Instead he floated over to the prince and princess, ignoring the guests. He shoved Belle into a dark corridor identical to the one he had used with Alice. The guardian then proceeded to lift the prince up from the balcony, It's iron grip crushing the entirety of his torso near to the point of breaking him. "That passage, where does it lead?

 

The prince gasped under the man's crushing grip, but he glared up at him and snarled "Why would I tell you? You attack my castle, kidnap my wife, and expect me to tell you? FIND IT YOURSELF!!"

Riku smiled, "Thank you," he said, and then the dark portal surrounded them and they arrived at Beast's Castle. Only, now it was different, a lot lighter, it couldn't really be considered beastly anymore. They were in a brightly lit foyer, and Kairi was standing there, keyblade drawn, as if she were about to fight. "Kairi!" He called out. She turned, startled, but as soon as she saw Riku, she ran forward and hugged him. "Riku, Oh I'm so glad to see you! Is Sora with you?" Riku looked at her. "No, I thought he was with you." But there was no time to ask questions. "Where's the trouble?"

Once again, they were interrupted by the arrival of a princess of heart, this time, Belle came through the dark portal. "Well," Kira said. "R certainly is speeding along. He must be very lucky."

 

"That's too bad." R said, motioning for the guardian to finish things. It tightened it's grip until his ribs could be heard crack. Then tossed him like a rag doll across the courtyard. With the prince finished off, it was time to find Kairi. He walked across the ballroom, ignoring the guests cowering for their lives, and pushed open the large doors to find not just Kairi but two others. The moment he identified him as Riku, his fist were clenched in rage. "You... He said under his breath. Reaching up to his head, he removed his hood revealing his face to be...Riku's.

 

Riku turned as the hooded man entered, that feeling... it was the same man from the islands, the one who had kidnapped the kids. Then he took off his hood. Riku drew his keyblade. "Wha-! What are you doing here?" Kairi looked from him to the other him, confused. "Riku?" she asked. "What's going on?"

Donald and Goofy landed on Agrabah just in time to see the Sultana Jasmine in her palace garden, and went down to her. "Princess!" Donald said. "How are you?" Jasmine turned around, and saw them. "Oh! Donald! Goofy! How are you?" "We're just fine, thank you," squawked Donald. "We're lookin' for Sora," Goofy interrupted. "Have ya seen 'im?" Jasmine shook her head. "No," she said. "But I saw another man looking for him today." Donald and Goofy looked at eachother, and then back to Jasmine. "Really?" Goofy asked. "Who?" "Oh, I don't know his name," She said calmly. "But he was tall, and had silver hair." Goofy looked happy. "Oh," he said. "Riku!" Donald looked around. "Well," he said. "If Riku couldn't find him here, then we'd better move on." "Good luck!" Jasmine said as they left.

 

R smirked at their expected confusion. "Tell me something..." He began "Where does a fake's heart go when it dies?"

 

Riku looked at the man angrily. So it was the replica, the one who had started to create it's own identity. "The same place as mine," he said, finishing the quote. He should have expected that the replica would be able to return somehow. Hearts were a mysterious thing, unpredictable. Sora's had found a reason to return, why not this replicas? He continued watching the replica as he explained to Kairi and the other girl who it was. "A replica of me, made by the Organization to trip up Sora in Castle Oblivion. I guess he's back." He held up his keyblade, a weapon that the replica didn't have. At least, he hadn't had it the last time they met.

Donald and Goofy went on to the next world, Wonderland. They landed right in the middle of the Red Queen's castle, just in time for an execution. Apparently, the Mad Hatter had angered the Queen, because he was the first up for "Off with his head!" But as the axe came down, it wasn't the Mad Hatter at all, it was the Cheshire Cat, who disintegrated. The Mad Hatter came out and stirred everybody up to rebel against the Queen, and they all escaped as the evil lady released the Jubjub bird, and started having all the people there attacked. They all got out safely, however, and the Mad Hatter started to lead them to the Castle of the White Queen.

 

"Oh?" He said at the sight of his new keyblade. "Thats new. But i'm afraid it won't be enough. I've mastered the dark arts. Now there's not a force that can take me down!" He said before leaping high into the air and coming down directly at Riku, sword pointed underneath him.

 

Riku jumped backwards as the replica came down and then rushed forward to slash at him as soon as he landed. Kairi also dodged out of the way and ran up to the girl. "Hey," she said. "My name's Kairi, and I see you met my friend Riku. I know this isn't exactly the best time to introduce ourselves, but it looks like that... replica is focusing more on Riku. Still, be on guard, I don't know what kind of tricks he has up his sleeve."

 

R's blade skewered the ground on contact. Within a split second, Riku was making his counter move. R barley had enough time to raise his hand before he was right on top of him. But barely was still enough.He shot a dark firaga at him the moment he brought his blade down on him.

 

The dark Firaga hit Riku hard, and he fell back, but regained his balance, raising his Keyblade and running back towards the replica, at the last moment using a dark portal that opened up behind the replica, attacking him from behind. As Kairi watched, she used her keyblade to cast a cure charm on Riku.

As Sora fought heartless, he thought he heard a familiar voice... Was that Donald? He turned, yes, Donald and Goofy were walking with a group of Underlanders towards the White Queen's castle. He had a ride out of here! He could go find Kairi and Riku now, and rescue Alice from the Shadow's Order. He started running towards them, they didn't have any time to lose.

 

Once Riku had left, Shane stepped out of the shadows and opened a doorway with his keyblade. It doesn't seem like the emtrance will be opening for a while. He thought as he stepped through the doorway. His plan was to end up somewhere close if not exactly where Riku had went, but he'll find out where he landed soon enough.

 

Riku was fast, just like R. Of course he was, they were meant to be the same person after all. He took the stinging blow to the back before spinning and delivering a heel to his opponent's jaw.

 

Riku took the blow to his jaw and stepped back. He realized that the replica would probably be prepared for just about anything, considering they were meant to be the same person. He had to do something totally unexpected, something that he would never do, but that was the problem. What could he do that he'd never done before? He couldn't think of anything. He shot a dark firaga ball as he ran towards the replica, Keyblade ready for a strike.

 

The exact same thoughts were going through R's mind as he deflected the Dark ball to the side and clashed his blade with Riku's. "Dammit! This coat is making it really hard to fight!" He said angrily as he jumped back. After unzipping the coat, he severed the sleeves, Giving his arms more freedom to move about. "Much better" Extending his hand to shoot a dark firaga, he quickly swung his hand to the side and took out a support beam holding up the stairwell. If he could get Riku underneath it when it collapsed, that would be the end of it.

Ooc: I just realized how awesome the coat would look like that xD

 

As the replica made it more comfortable to fight, Riku rushed forward to attack. When the firaga came towards him, he rushed away to dodge it, stepping underneath the stairwell. He realized just in time what was happening, however, and jumped out from underneath it as it crashed. He turned to the replica and suddenly realized what he could do that was unexpected. holding his Keyblade with both hands, he ran towards the replica and jumped into the air, imitating Sora's favorite fighting style, utilizing aerial combos. His Keyblade wasn't the best type of weapon for such an attack, but hopefully it woulld be powerful enough to get at the replica.

Kairi smiled at the girl as she dodged a bit of falling debris from the stairwell. "It's nice to meet you, Sarai. I know that this all looks pretty wierd, but we're not always like this. In fact, we haven't had to fight anything for ten years."
