Kingdom Hearts: Quiet's End

Steven maintained the confused look on his face, and then became completely and utterly shocked when the keyblade in hand vanished, and in its place it turned into a new one. Black as the night itself, the keyblade that had materialised into Steven's hand was the Oblivion keyblade. "Whoa..." he exclaimed, admiring the keyblade.

 

Kira smiled. "Yes," She answered. "But I must admit, I was waiting for you. You are a creature of Darkness, I can feel it emenating from you." She paused as Beucefilous deflected the fire ball and stood again. "I also am a creature of Darkness, I and Beucefilous over there." She nodded to Beacefilous as he fought. "We have formed a new order, the Shadow's Order, and I'm afraid we have got off to a slow start. It's just the two of us, you see. You wouldn't perhaps, be interested?"

Riku looked at the Keyblade that appeared in Steven's hand. So Hitomu had been right. Steven was good, but had struggles with Darkness. Riku would have to keep an eye on the boy, steer him away from any who would wish to exploit that darkness. Keep him safe from those who were like Maleficent. "Alright," he said. "Now you'll be able to protect yourself." He looked at Sora.

Sora was watching the Keyblade Steven had summoned. He hoped that Riku had been right to give the power to Steven, but he couldn't help but get a bad feeling from that Keyblade. Oh well, Riku probably knew what he was doing. So Sora smiled at Steven, deciding to ignore the Keyblade for now. "Pretty soon, we're going to go to other worlds and check out what's been going on with the Darkness. Do you wanna come with us?"

 

Steven swung Oblivion dramatically, cutting through the air. "Can't wait" he said, still shocked at the keyblade's appearance.

 

Kairi laughed, remembering the days when it was Sora and Riku swinging their swords, longing for adventure. It seemed like only yesterday, before the darkness came and stole her heart. She looked at Mitsuko, who had opened up so easily to Steven, what would happen if the darkness got a hold of the young girl? Or any of the children, for that matter? Hitumo was so quiet and reserved, so much like Riku, and she already felt that Steven was like both Sora and Riku. If the Darkness got a hold of any of them, she didn't know what she would do.

 

"Then show me what you've got." Shane replied, moving his still glowing keyblade in front of him. I have to be careful that I overuse the darkness. Okay, I'm ready when you are.


"An interesting proposal." Xero replied. As he thought over the offer, he contiue to watch Shane and Beucefilous battle it out. When he had his answer he turned to face Kira and replied. "Okay then, count me in."

 

Beucefilous slowly walked toward him with his sword readied. Discretely glancing up at the chandelier hanging down from the center of the room momentarily, he had his strategy. Quickly and without warning, he bolted up to Shane and struck upward with his massive sword.

 

Kira smiled as Beucefilous fought the boy. So the darkness pulled through for me after all. "Then welcome to the order," she said to the newcomer. "I'm not sure if we've been introduced, I'm Kira. And your name is...?"

 

Steven stood still for a moment. "So, when do we leave?" he asked.

 

"Well," Sora said. "I guess we could leave tomorrow morning, really." He turned to Kairi and the two kids. He didn't want to say goodbye. It was one thing to be forced away from someone you cared about, but it was another thing altogether to leave willingly. But it had to be done, and he was an adult now. He had to do the hard things. So he turned to Steven. "Yeah, meet us here tomorrow morning and we'll go then."

 

"Oh, okay. I'll meet you here tomorrow then" Steven said. He sat down on the beach, staring out at the horizon.

 

Kira turned towards the newcomer. "Sorry to ask a question and then interrupt you before you even have a chance to speak, but I've decided that Beucefilous knows where we're going to be, and I don't want to continue waiting around here for him. So how about you and I go explore our new base? I take it you've already been there, seeing as how you came from the door I intend to go through, but our new base will be the World that Never Was. Perhaps you could show me around a little before we put into action our movement."

 

Dodging his attack, Shane swung his keyblade at Beucefilous. As long as my keyblade continues to glow, it'll hit harder than it normally. As long s he doesn't find a way to counter this I can still win. He thought.


"Okay then." Xero said before leading Kira to the White room where his portal resided. "It's Xero by the way." Opening the door, he showed her where his portal was located at.

 

Kira smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Xero." She said, walking through the portal. "Are you a Nobody, by any chance?" Kira had always been fascinated by the concept of a Nobody, a creature who had no heart. To have one or two in the Order would be more then ideal.

 

With lightning reflexes, Beucefilous ducked, Dealt an uppercut to his chin, and bashed his face with the blunt end of his sword, sending him flying into the middle of the room. He then quickly Changed to gauntlet into a handgun and shot the chain which tied the chandelier to the ceiling. It then came crashing down straight toward Shane.

As Kira and Xero stepped out through the portal, a shadowy figure watched them from the rooftops. He payed them no mind at first, until she mentioned the nobodies. This peaked his interest so he decided to see exactly what she was up to.

 

Even though Shane had no time to react to the blows that came from Beucefilous and was knocked under the chandelier, he did manage to notice it about to crash down on him. Placing his keyblade above his head, he made a barrier around him just before it hit. From anyone else's perceptive it would've looked like the chandelier had done it's job, but from Shane's perceptive, he came out just fine. Now he just had to hope the Beucefilous fall for the trick.

"No I'm not a nobody." Xero replied. He had knowledge about what a nobody was, but he hadn't seen one for himself. That was in fact the main being he had hoped to find in the World That Never Was when he first checked the catsle.

 

Beucefilous smiled at what appeared to be a job well done I just hope he's alive under there...Oh well, what's done is done.. He said before walking over to the staircase ascending to the white room which housed the portal and returning his weapons to their ring form.

 

"Oh." Kira was slightly dissappointed, but it wasn't the guy's fault he wasn't a Nobody. However, there was another dark presence here, she could feel it watching them. "Who's there?" She called out, smiling. There was something vaguely familiar about this feeling, but very different at the same time. Whoever this being was, he was definitely a force to be reckoned with. Good thing he's on my side.

 

Knowing he had been spotted he dropped down behind them. "I am" He said quietly to the girl who had an evil air about her.

 

Kira turned around, startled. It was a man, wearing old Organization XIII robes, and he had the hood up so she couldn't see his face. But still, there was something strange about him, so familiar and yet so completely different from anyone she had ever heard of. "Well," she said. "I do believe that you are a Nobody, at least, you practically are." He was so strange, his darkness was definitey strong, but she could sense no real heart in him.

 

The man paused when she called him a nobody. "You....could say that i suppose." He said in response. "In any case, what do you know about the nobodies? Who are you, and why are you here? He questioned.
