Kingdom Hearts: Quiet's End

Kairi saw Riku appear and at first she thought he had come to help, but then she realized it was the other Riku. But... then that must mean... She couldn't bring herself to think of it. Certainly, Riku couldn't be... No, he had to have won, he just had to. But for now, he wasn't here, and as she looked around, she realized they couldn't stay. It was now three against two, plus all the Samurai Nobodies. They were really outnumbered now. She looked at Shane. He hadn't been a part of this, he hadn't had any reason to come to the Order's headquarters, but he had come with her, to help her. It looked like they didn't have anyway of winning, and it didn't even look like they had a way to escape. "Shane, I'm sorry I dragged you into this!" She called out to him. It looked like there was no way out. Sora, I know I told you I could handle this, but if you're anywhere close, We really need some help!

OOC: lol, it would be pretty funny, but I'm not sure I want to go into Space Paranoids just yet. I think I want him to go fight Kira/possessed right now and get banished to the Realm of Darkness, but then perhaps he can get sucked into Space Paranoids when he gets back. Besides, I think Space Paranoids was located in the terminal of Hollow Bastion, not Twilight Town.

BIC: Sora walked over to the computer terminal and tried to figure out how to open the portal to the World that Never Was. It took him awhile, but he finally figured it out and the portal opened behind him. "I think I got it," he said, turning to Sarai, Donald and Goofy. "You guys ready?"

The hot dry air beat down on the desert city, while the burning sands practically radiated heat. Everything was quiet, until suddenly a flash appeared and a rather large mouse materialized, holding a weird block of some sort. He put the Star Shard away, and set out for the city.
When he got there, He started to head for the Palace. He wasn't sure why, but he felt he was needed there. Maybe Steven was there. Master Yen Sid had told him to look for a boy named Steven, but he hadn't been able to find him anywhere. If the Darkness had got to him back at the Islands, than it was possibe he was already a heartless by now. Mickey sighed. He had to stop this Darkness, before it consumed the worlds.

 

"Alright, let's go!" Sora summoned his Keyblade and stepped through the portal. He looked around, he was in the World that Never Was, alright, and there were heartless and Nobodies everywhere. "Wha-!" He slashed his Keyblade at the nearest one and destroyed it before turning back to face the portal, as Donald and Goofy stepped through. Judging by their faces, they were just as surprised as he was. It would take a long time to find Kairi if he had to destroy all the heartless.

Kira stood at the edge of the roof, looking down as the portal opened and the Keyblade warriar stepped through. The corner of her mouth twitched, almost as if she were about to smile. "Hello, Keyblade Master," she whispered quietly. It was about time she faced him, she was itching to get into a real fight. She hadn't really fought anyone yet, especially not in her Darkened state, and her fingers tingled with anticipation. But, not yet. She wanted him to fight for awhile before she showed herself, so she could memorize his fighting style and try and spot his weaknesses.

 

Riku looked over at Kairi backing up. His mouth twitched into a smile as drew on his new dark powers. He disappeared and reappeared behind her, similar to how Lexaeus was felled. "I'm afraid you're just a bit too slow Kairi" He gloated

 

Now slumped against a wall near the palace, not quite sleeping but definitely tired, the girl continued to wait. She had the feeling that somebody, someone important, would find her here, though why she had no idea.
Her eyes were flickering. Perhaps she should allow herself to sleep for a while?

 

Shane gazed at his now a flamed keyblade. He'd expected the darkness was going to be channeled somewhere, but he wasn't expecting it to be his keyblade. His mind was completely focused on this until he heard Kairi call out to him, but when he turned her way, he saw that things were much worst in her end. I'll have to end this now. As the flames around his keyblade ignited in a fury and with one swift motion, three giant balls of purple fire flew at Xero with blinding speed.

Xero had no time to react to the flames heading his way and ended up being knocked flying into the nearest building. Whether he was unconscious on dead, was not the problem right now.

 

Kairi gasped as the second Riku suddenly appeared behind her. She turned around quickly, and swung her keyblade at him. It was too late for escape, she was going to fight with all her might. But she just had to know... "What... What happened to the real Riku?" She asked.

Sora swung his keyblade faster and faster, taking out heartless and Nobodies with amazing speed. Something felt wrong, though... he couldn't quite figure out what it was, but there was definitely something wrong. He jumped up in the air and released a combo taking out a group of Green Requiems. Those were always the first he took out, because allthough they weren't dangerous, they had an annoying habit of healing whatever heartless he was fighting, making it hard to beat. He landed, and looked around. As far as he could see, there were only heartless all around, but he just couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched.

Kira looked down and smiled as the Keyblade Master paused in his fight to investigate his surroundings. "Yes, someone is watching you," she whispered again. She raised her hand and a barriar rose up, all around Sora, keeping the others away. Her fight was with the Keyblade Master, the Heartless coud deal with the girl and the duck and the dog. But to keep them busy, she also raised up two Darksides to keep the three busy. She couldn't have them interfere with her battle. All the heartless dissapeared from inside the barriar, and Sora looked around, trying to understand what had happened. Kira summoned her Keyblade, now burning red like a dying fire, and jumped down from her place to land in front of the Hero of Light.

Hitomu woke up with a start, he had been dreaming that he was running, running as fast as he could towards Mitsuko, who was standing in a blinding light, reaching out for him to help her. He couldn't catch her, and she disappeared in the white, calling out his name. He tried to run in after her, but something was holding him back. He looked around and saw that he was being pulled into darkness, black flames were climbing up towards him and tying him down like ropes. He sat in his bed, panting, trying to tell himself that it was only a dream. He couldn't afford to doubt himself now, Mitsuko was still missing, and he needed to find her. He looked down at his hand, it felt strange, he had been trying to control the Darkness earlier. With the memory of the dream still on his mind, he tried again. He stretched out his small hand and concentrated with all his might. He picturedd a Shadow Heartless, and called out to it with his heart. That was what Kira had told him to do. He hadn't been able to do it earlier. But he had to learn, to become stronger, so he could find Mitsuko. Then he heard it: the sound that he had been waiting for. He opened his eyes and saw a shadow, crawling around on the ground. His hand stung with the unaccustomed feel of the power of darkness. He had done it.

Mitsuko sat in the dungeon Kira had left her in, she felt tired and weak from concentrating so hard. She had been trying to reach Hitomu for hours, ever since she had woken up, but something was always blocking him. But then, for a few minutes, the connection had opened again. He was asleep, and he was dreaming. The mind is always more open when you dream. So she focused on her reaching out to save him, to pull him out of the blackness he was falling into. He was trying to get to her, but he couldn't escape the darkness. Then the connection broke. She could only hope that he got the whole thing. Please, Hitomu, understand the message. Figure out what I'm trying to tell you!

Mickey Mouse got to the palace gates, and looked around. He saw a girl nearby, sitting down and leaning against the wall. Judging by her appearence, she didn't live in Agrabah. He sighed, then smiled. No luck finding Steven, but here was somebody. He would talk to her, see what was goin' on. Maybe she knew where he could find this Steven guy. Maybe she was the real Key, and Master Yen Sid had made a mistake. There was always a first time for everything! He walked up to the girl. "Hello, there!" He said. "You don't look like you're from around here, maybe you can help me find somebody!"

 

With Xero out of the way for the moment, Shane tocontiued to head towards Kairi, slashing any nobody that got in his way. This were alot worse on this side, but hopefully he could change that. "Need any help?" He said once he'd gotten to where Kairi was at.

 

A voice quickly snapped Abigail out of her almost-sleep, and she looked up to see whom it belonged to, only to stumble backwards in surprise when she saw that it was what appeared to be a huge, black, anthropomorphic mouse.
Her initial reaction was one of fear, but that was quickly put to rest. This mouse(?) seemed to be friendly enough, and she felt... almost safe around him. Perhaps she would speak with him, for now.
"Uh... hello." she repeated, returning his greeting. "What kind of person are you looking for?"

 

A grim slime was wide across his face. "I am the real Riku."He told her. "Well now that i'm the only one anyway." He added with a dark laugh.

 

Sora looked around, Sarai, Donald and Goofy were fighting two Darksides. He ran to help, but there was a barriar between them. Suddenlt, a strange woman landed in the center of the area in the barrier. "Hey, you're the woman from the Islands!" He said, holding his keyblade ready to fight.

Kira smiled at him. "Yes," she said. "I am the woman from the islands, and what's more, I am the leader of the New Order, I have your children, and your wife is fighting three of my strongest fighters, one of which killed your friend. Now, are we going to fight, or what? I'm growing rather bored over here."

"Sarai!" Donald squawked, casting a cure charm on her and restoring her health fully. Meanwhile, Goofy was swinging his shield around, and taking out several of the smaller heartless on his way to the real threat, one of the two Darksides.

Kairi gasped. "The... the only one? But..." She was shocked. That would mean that Riku was... This guy had killed... Suddenly, the shock was replaced by anger. Anger at this guy who had killed her lifelong friend. She looked over at Shane, standing next to her. "Sorry I got you into this mess," she said. "Escape as soon as you see an opening, I'll take care of things here." Then she turned towards the second Riku and saw that he was smiling. A burst of rage filled her being. "GET THAT SMILE OFF YOUR FACE, YOU GLORIFIED IMITATION!" she yelled, swinging her keyblade at him with new-found strength. Tears filled her eyes, but she didn't care. Riku, this is for you.

Mickey Mouse sighed. "I'm not really sure," he said. "His name is Steven, and he's got a Keyblade, but I'm beginnin' to think I'll never find 'im. You wouldn't happen to know any Stevens, would'ja?"

OOC: Hey guys, I edited my post because I forgot to add Shane to Kairi's part. The new stuff is in Bold, so you can't miss it.

 

As she approached, Riku quickly ducked, pushing her keyblade up and slicing across her stomach, similar to how the original Riku had defeated Xion on the bridge of beast's castle.

OOC: I just realized, most of Riku's significant plot points happen in or outside of castles....

 

A Keyblade wielder.
He had definitely said that. Did that mean there were others like her? How many, then? And why was this mouse looking for this Steven?
"I don't know anyone of that name, exactly." she told him, pulling herself up briskly.
"But maybe I could help you look for him. Uh... why are you looking, exactly?"

 

OOC: But, Riku never sliced Xion's stomach, he elbowed her in the back, and she dropped her keyblade.

IC: Mickey scratched his head. "I was supposed to help 'im," he said simply. "And he was supposed to help me. Darkness is spreadin', destroyin' the worlds, and somebody told me he was the key to stoppin' it." He looked down. "But maybe he wasn't the key, I can't seem to find him anywhere!" He looked up at her. "Anyway, I'm Mickey, Mickey Mouse! What's yours?"

OOC: lol, alright. Sorry to be so contradictory, I guess it doesn't really matter either way. lol, I don't know why I get like that sometimes. XP
However, the irony of Repliku living out that part of the fight is amazing. I wonder, would he be considered the biggest Nobody of them all? XD

BIC: Kairi gasped as he elbowed her in the back, the wind got knocked out of her and she fell to the ground, gasping for breath. Her keyblade dissapeared and she tried to get up, but she hadn't got her breath back yet.

The fight raged on between Sora and Kira, but Sora was slowly realizing that he wouldn't be winning this fight. He was out of practice, he had been living as a normal person for ten years. He was losing stamina, he couldn't keep up, he found himself dodging several consecutive attacks in a row without once hitting back. He needed to win this, he needed to find Kairi and the twins, he needed to help Donald and Goofy and Sarai, he needed to avenge Riku, but... he just couldn't. He wasn't strong enough anymore, he just wasn't the hero he once had been.

For Kira, however, the battle was going splendidly. She didn't feel out of breath at all, in fact, the more she fought, the more darkness filled her being. She was practically drunk with the overwhelming flow of it. She laughed as she fought, a wild light in her eyes. "Come on, Hero," she mocked, giggling as she sped from one place to the next, attacking him every time she passed. "Can't you even manage one hit? One single hit? Or is the power of Darkness too much for you?" She suddenly stopped completely, right behind him. "Your lamp is burning out," she whispered. She jumped away as he turned to swing at her, and snapped her fingers. A dark portal opened up behind him and with a flash, she rushed at him and launched herself into the air, heading straight toward him.

Sora saw her coming and brought his keyblade up just in time for hers to clash against it, but the force of her attack was too strong, and he fell backwards into the dark portal. "Take some advice from me," Kira called out. "Figure out just how weak your pitiful light is while you're trapped in the everlasting black of the night!" The portal closed and all was still for a moment. Sora got up and looked around him. He was alone in a place of nothingness. A path wound its way in front of him, leading to anywhere, but aside from the path, there was nothing. Not even just bare land, absolutely nothing. He was in the Realm of Darkness.

 

OOC:Lol how hilarious would it be if a random black notebook fell in front of Kira?

Riku turned to the girl who had fallen down from an elbow to the back. The fight had been easier than he anticipated. "Once we're through with your heart, i'm finally gonna get back the one i swore to protect. So you won't be escaping any time soon girly. He said as he grabbed her by the hair and drug her through a dark corridor. "Beuce, i trust you can handle Donny Darko over there?" He said, referring to Shane.

"Oh you betcha. I've been waiting for a rematch with this punk." He said, turning to shane and readying his weapons.

"Good." Riku said, continuing through the portal. He ended up in the same cell her daughter was in, as an act of charity on his part. With that they just needed one more heart.

~~~Realm of darkness~~~

"It feels like I've been walking for ages..." Said a blue haired woman who slowly drug herself along the sandy path. She looked about ready to collapse from exhaustion. She looked for some rocks which were commonplace in the dark realm. She spied some off in the distance. But something else as well. A heartless? No. it looked..human. Similar to someone she knew from a long time ago. Had it really been that long? Yes. Almost 21 years now. If she aged in this realm, she'd be almost 40. But for some reason, she kept the youthful appearance of a beautiful 16 year old girl. She walked closer to inspect the figure. It was...the boy from the islands all those years ago! Sora! but...if he was here....The worlds...She hung her head in despair. Tears began to roll down her cheeks. She had failed the worlds and everyone in them. She had to escape and put things right. A determined look took over her face as she ran over to him.
