Kingdom Hearts: Quiet's End

Riku stepped out straight in the center of the ballroom. He looked around. The queen didn't seem to be here. But they were preparing for a party of sorts. So he assumed she would be there soon. He simply waited for her. Wow. Must be a good day for parties. He thought to himself, as nearly all of the princesses had been attending a party.

 

"I guess so." Shane replied.

 

"Well, there's only one way to find out!" Kairi stepped through the portal and into the World that Never Was. She shuddered involuntarily, remebering the last time she was here. She was in the sort of courtyard in front of the building, she could see the entrance not far from here. Hopefully they would be able to sneak through without arousing suspicion.

Sora turned when he heard a girl calling for 'pincushion head.' Was she talking to him? Then she shot a blizzard spell at his feet. "Whoa!" He said, jumping out of the way. "What gives?" He stopped and looked at the girl. "Wait a minute, you mean Kairi? You know where she is?"

Kira was frustrated, and it was getting hard to hide it. So she worked her face into a smile and told Hitomu that they had done enough work for today and he should go get some rest. Then, after he left, she opened a portal to the Keyblade Graveyard and took a deep breath. She needed to let the darkness consume her once again, she wanted to lose herself and not feel again. She felt the darkness rush in upon her, and she smiled. She was gone.

Kira opened another portal and returned to the castle, and stood on top of the highest point in the building, looking down at Kairi and Shane from above. She smiled, Xero and Beucefilous were doing a very good job of luring the princess to the tower. As for Shane, well, she had no use for him. He was expendable. She wanted it to be easy for the two of them to get inside the castle, so she cleared the area of difficult heartless, sending a few Shadows to attack, so they could get through easily but not easy enough to let them realize something was wrong. Then she would wait for Sora, who probably wasn't far behind.

Aurora entered the ballroom, but gasped when she saw the stranger in the center. So this was why she had felt the presence of evil. It was lurking in her own castle. There was no way out of this.

 

Riku looked over at the queen entering the ballroom. He then began to approach her, slowly so as hopefully not to make her take off running. He'd had enough chasing from beast's castle. And after this, He had just two left. Kairi and Jasmin. He smiled wickedly as his work was almost done, once he had finished, They would have they keyblade of hearts.

Beucefilous looked out the window as they approached the entrance to the castle. "Looks like it's time, Xero." He told him as he changed his ring into a large war hammer.

 

"Then, let's give them a warm welcome." He repleid, getting his keyblade ready.

"Well, looks like were here."Shane said. Well, here they were at The World That Never Was, where supposedly the Order's base was located at.

 

"Yeah, let's go inside," Kairi said, Keyblade at the ready. Hitomu and Mitsuko were here, she was sure of it. She wasn't going to let anything get between her and her kids.

"Sorry," Sora said, smiling. Even though he still was worried about Kairi, her message made him smile. He sighed. Kairi was right, freaking out wouldn't solve anything. He had to calm down. It was alright to keep looking for her, but if he kept rushing into things, it would make it easier for the Order to stop him. "Yeah, I'm Sora. What's your name?"

Aurora looked the man over. He was definitally a man of darkness. "What business do you have here?" She asked. "What do you want?"

 

"I came to capture your heart." He said to her. "I find myself in need of seven like it. four of which are already mine." He smiled grimly at the thought of over half the princesses falling into the order's hands. Their work was almost done. Afterwards there wouldn't be a force in this world, or any world for that matter, that could stop them. Not the light, not the dark trying to take them over.

Beucefilous propped his hammer up on his shoulder and walked out to the front gate. "Well well, mommy to the rescue huh?" He taunted with a chuckle. Then he looked over and saw her companion. It took him a moment to realize who he was. "Wha- You! I thought i killed you already." He exclaimed at the boy he thought to be dead. Then a rather stupid thought crossed his mind "omg are you a ghost?!"

 

Aurora could feel herself growing afraid. She remembered that second sleep, the one where her heart had been stolen. She did not want to experience it again. She almost turned and ran, but checked herself. She would never be able to outrun this man, and it would just make everything worse when he caught her. But she could not just let him take her away, everything inside of her would not let her go willingly. All she could do was hope that she would again be rescued, that Sora would remember her from all those years ago and come to her aid again. "Alright," she said. "I will go. But please, do not harm this world. Let it remain as it is in exchange for my cooperation."

Kairi looked at the two members as they came out to taunt her. "Yeah," she said. "I'm here to find my kids, and you would do well not to underestimate me." She could feel herself getting angry at the two of them, they had helped to kidnap her children, and they were going to pay.

 

Riku nodded as he opened a dark corridor to the castle dungeon. "Agreed. I will not harm this world." He promised her and led her through. But i didn't say a thing about the heartless doing so. He thought grimly as he summoned several heartless around the outskirts of the castle.

 

"Looks like your full of secret, aren't you?" Xero said in a taunting fashion.

"More than you know." Shane replied in a simple manner. It was obvious that what Xero had said struck a nevere somewhere in him, just in a place he wouldn't like to talk about.

 

"Oh, well, I'm going to go find Kairi," Sora said. "She can handle herself in a fight, yeah, but I'd feel better if I were there with her."

Kairi frowned at Xero for a seond before shooting a firaga spell at him, rushing towards him to attack with her keyblade at the same time. If he managed to block the fire, she would be right there, giving him little time to attack.

Kira watched the battle begin from her high place, and then she summoned an army of powerful heartless to block the way between Kairi and the portal to Twilight Town. When Sora got there, she didn't want an easy path from him to the princess. "I'm waiting, Sora," she said quietly. "Come and try to save her, I want to see just how weak you really are."

 

Beucefilous was confident Xero could block the fire ball but the princess running at him might be another story. He shifted his enormous hammer into a small throwing knife. He flung it straight at Kairi, but halfway through it's trip to her, he changed it back into the hammer. It was coming at her with all the force he had flung the knife with but had all the weight of a hammer.

 

Kairi saw it coming and dodged out of the way. Now she wasn't able to attack Xero as she had planned, but she turned towards Beucefilous and shot a stopra at him.

 

Walking.
For hours, she had been walking; in this strange place.
How she had gotten there, she had no idea. The only thing she knew was that it wasn't home.
"Hello?" she called out, looking around the buildings, which appeared as though made of some sort of combination of sand and mud.
There was no answer.
"Why is this place so dark?" she muttered to herself, continuing to walk towards the biggest building she could see; some kind of Eastern-looking palace. Somebody there would know where she was, surely?

 

Sora looked at the girl. "Kairi says she can handle herself, but I still want to help her. It's dangerous to try and go straight into the enemy's headquarters, even if you are a Keyblade wielder. I've gotta go after her just to make sure she's safe. You don't have to come, I've got all the help I need." "Yeah, you got that right," Donald said, crossing his arms. "You'll have a hard time gettin' rid of us," Goofy added. "So you see?" Sora said. "I've got nothing to worry about. So you can stay here where it's safe."

 

With Kairi fighting Beucefilous, Shane headed right for Xero. "Eat this." In an instant, his keyblade was engulf in dark flames, only to be released at Xero.

"You'll have to do better than that." Xero Said, quickly deflecting his dark Firaga. "You'll have to use all of your darkness to defeat me."
