Kingdom Hearts: Quiet's End

"I agree," Kira said, walking behind R. This would be easy.

Sora stood up, the room was empty. Half of the staircase was demolished and all the dark portals were gone. Donald and Goofy came in through the front door, too late to fight. "What happened?" Donald squawked. "Riku's dead," Sora said quietly, stunning his friends into silence. "I couldn't save him. The Order will pay for this. Let's go. We need to find Kairi, tell her what happened. I don't know where she is, so we have to go fast, before the Order can get to her."

Kairi looked at Sarai. "Darkness will consume the worlds," she said simply. "It festers in the heart of the world and destroys it from the inside out, until all that's left is nothingness, an empty shell of what was once beautiful." She looked down, thinking of the Islands. The darkness had consumed them again, and they might never get them back. Sighing, she finished her tea."Well," she said. "Unless one of you knows how to open a dark portal or operate a gummi ship, I'm stuck here in Hollow Bastion. So, what do ya say?" She turned to Sarai. "I know you saw a glimpse of what me and my friends are dealing with, I'm not going to expect you to follow me into this quest, and you, Shane," she turned to Shane. "I'll say the same thing. I can't expect you to come with me, we're up against a powerful threat."

 

"Well, I can opened a doorway with my keyblade. Shane said before thinking about her offer. It was in his best interest to join her. besides, he still wanted a rematch with Beaucefilous. "I'm up for it."

 

Beucefilous was still asleep, laying sideways in his throne. He murmured in his sleep. It almost sounded like singing. "Do you believe in life after love"

R walked into the castle. It was nearly empty save for the servants and queen. The king was out hunting. "Who are you?" One of the servants said as they approached the duo. R simply ignored him and walked passed up to where the queen sat. Come with us." he said to her

 

Kairi smiled. "Thank you," she said. "It makes me feel a lot better having you both with me. So, what should we do next? There's gotta be some way to find the Order's headquarters. Then we can find out a way to stop them."

Sora, Donald and Goofy flew the gummi ship towards the next world, Dwarf Woodlands. They landed in front of the castle, and went up the front steps. They might as well check on Snow White while they were there.

Kira looked at the servants, analyzing each one. They were no threat. She looked at the queen, she wasn't much different than she had been ten years ago, just a little older and more regal. She was a Queen now, no doubt about it. But still a princess of heart. Cinderella stood up, obviously frightened, but not about to just run away. "Who are you?" she asked. "What do you want?"

 

R introduced them. "This is Kira, and my names is Riku." He paused for a moment to smile. Now that he was the only one, he could say that's who he was. "And we're here to take you away." He finished

 

Kira half smiled as Riku introduced himself, but she still felt that the whole thing was unpredictable and needed caution. Riku was becoming his own person, in fact, had already done so. Would he turn to the same path the first Riku had turned to? Forsaking the darkness to follow his new heart? She would have to be careful.

Cinderella's eyes grew wide. She remembered the first time she had been taken away by darkness. Could this be the same Riku who had been a part of that venture all those years ago? She took a step back, but then looked around at her servants. She knew she couldn't fight these two people herself, and there was no one to save her. A fight would only serve to harm the good people near her, so she put her head down. "I will come with you," she said quietly. "Just don't hurt the people of this world."

 

Riku smiled and extended his hand "As you wish" He then opened a dark corridor behind him back to the castle.

 

"Is there any world connected to Twilight Town, when I ran into them there it seemed like they were looking for something." Shane said. Granted he didn't have much time to pay attention to that since he was fighting for his life.


Xero looked over at the sleeping Beaucefilous from his throne. What song is he singing. He wondered.

 

Beucefilous awoke suddenly with a start. He nearly fell off his throne "Huh what no i don't listen to Cher!" He exclaimed and looked around nervously. Then he saw Xero. "Hey buddy. uh...how long have you been there?"

 

"The whole time." He replied.

 

"So...uh..how are those princesses coming along?" He asked, trying to change the subject.

 

"Well, there two we have right now and Kira and R and still searcthing for more." Xero said.

 

"Thats cool. Who did he catch?" He asked. A lot had went on while he was napping

 

Kairi shook her head. "No," she said to Sarai. "I had no idea there were two Riku's. I think he said something about Organization XIII having omething to do with it... I hope he's alright." Then she turned to Shane. "That's a really good idea," She said. "I'll bet we could find a way into their base from there. Twilight Town it is, then."

Kira waited for the Queen to pass through the portal and then followed behind Riku. She had made no promise to leave the people in safety, so as she left she summoned a large group of heartless to start attacking the village. They would breed like flies on the unguarded hearts of the people.

 

Riku grinned, knowing what she had done. That makes three, Next we should go after.." He paused, thinking of who to get. What about that mermaid? She wasn't far off of princess status." He suggested.

 

"I don't think the base is actually in twilight town." Seeing Sarai put on her coat like a cape, he remembered that he was still wearing his cloak he's always travelled with.

 

"Yeah," Kairi agreed with Shane. "I don't think their base is actually in Twilight Town. But there could be a portal to their base there somewhere."

Kira thought. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check," she said. "Although, she's not a mermaid anymore, so we'll check the royal city that lies next to the ocean. She should be Queen there."

In the oceanside castle settled at the very edge of the sea, a high wall seperated the land from the water. Excitement spread through the castle, as preperations were made for the birthday celebration of the young princess, Melody. Ariel the Queen walked the halls of the palace, looking for her daughter, who didn't seem to be anywhere near.
Under the high wall, a small drain allowed a bit of the salty water to go into the royal gardens, but that wasn't the only thing it was used for. A youn girl, with dark hair like her fathers, swam down to the drain and pulled a loose metal bar from its spot, creating a gap big enough for her to swin through. Holding her breath, she slipped through the hole and returned the bar to its place, then she turned to swim up to the surface of the water. She was late for her own birthday party, and her mother would be sure to find out her secret. Melody never understood why her mother never let her near the ocean, she loved the ocean, and sometimes she even pretended she had fins.
