Kingdom Hearts: Kingdom Hearts: Light Chaser

Aria followed alongside Master Thallasa, listening to her speak and throw in her own commentary. It was then she heard a voice and perked up. She looked back at the others before going ahead and seeing a boy holding up a stick, threatening a fuzzy creature on the ground. It seemed that the fuzzy creature had stolen an apple or something, but the way the boy was handling it seemed a bit rough. "H-Hey! Leave it alone!" Aria called out to the boy. As Master Thallasa said, it was hard to know what to interfere with in the world.

The fuzzy fluffy thing suddenly scrambled up to its feet, darting over to Aria as it hid behind her legs. "Save Gurgi from the smacking and wackings on his poor tender head!" the creature exclaimed, pointing a shaky finger at the boy with a stick.

 

Of course Illiana would get angry from that. As if she thought nobody else had had as bad a time as her. She basically acted as if her problems were far worse than anyone else and she certainly was not helping her case with Qamar. Sure Qamar would never understand everything, but she wasn't trying to either. She knew things were bad between the two and that's it. She tried to get Illiana to give up on the boy, but of course she wouldn't. She would rather risk her life and the lives of countless more if it meant her brother would go home and not be in danger. What was the point of that? Qamar couldn't understand that kind of thing. The way Illiana acted, it was confusing Qamar and she honestly wanted to understand it. But with Illiana, she could never understand it. The girl would just shove her off, yell at her, and continue to berate her without even trying to help her understand. That was what made Qamar mad. And acting as if she knew Illiana? No, she had to say something. "And here you go, assuming things again. Thinking I'm disrespectful and not worthy of being treated fairly or nice. Tch...at least I try and talk to people unlike her. I try to talk to people and get to know them. Haven't even had one good interaction with the jerk. So no, I don't know you. You don't know me either, so don't act like your problems are the worst thing ever. At least you have family in the first place." Qamar grumbled to herself, kicking at rocks and sticks. She wasn't even talking to anyone in particular, just frustrated at Illiana and her inability to get off her high horse and walk with the peasants.

A voice could be heard after they walked some more and Qamar followed Aria forward. Some creature ran towards Aria and hid behind her. Qamar stopped and raised an eyebrow. "Um...but wasn't he just yelling about an apple?" Qamar asked the creature. "So by that, do you have his apple? Mayhaps give it back and he'll not smack or wack you?"

Gurgi simply hid behind Aria more. Qamar shook her head and looked at the boy. "Are you Taran? We were sent to help you by your Master Dallben."​

 

Amidst the crowd of floating nemesis', Chrys remained determined to do her best in eradicating as many dark entities as possible. Now surrounded by several Air Pirates, she readied her blade as they flew forward, countering with calculated cuts as she stepped to their sides.

When they all seemed to want to charge her at once, she cast a quick reflera spell to counter.

Takehiko was having no problems at all with his flying. Perhaps it was from already using Torrin and Qamar's gliders previously but he had a good hang on it. But the boy was more focused on the kitten that was freaking out and shaking in the front. He heard Tinarah check up and he looked over and said,"No problems with me. Nini isn't liking it though. Just waiting until we find something and land."

Illiana continued to follow behind the group, listening to Thallasa. She then looked around her and really took in the scenery. "Normally, I'd be against interfering with the natural order of a world but during times like these it's hard to tell what is and isn't natural anymore." Illiana kept looking around her as she spoke. "If this forest isn't natural then it's a darn shame. Looks pretty natural to me but that's my own opinion on it." Illiana immediately looked over as she heard a voice. Aria and Qamar immediately went over to the boy and strange creature who had apparently stolen an apple from that boy. She walked over and watched as the creature hid behind Aria. "This however is not natural. Then again, that's just the speculation talking." She put her hand on her hip as she watched the scene in front of her unfold. Qamar had then asked the boy if he was Taran. Judging by his appearance, it could be but she was having her doubts.

In an involuntary movement carried Glyde's eyes in a slow roll. Was he the only one that remembered how recently they had been lured into consecutive traps? He ruffled his head in a shaking motion, opting not to pursue the argument of his mild paranoia. If they were all content to drop their suspicions, he couldn't stop them; he would just have to be weary for everyone as best he could.

He was relieved, at least, that Illiana was in agreement with the idea of getting a visual idea of the person they were looking for, though Thallasa's response drew out his disdain. "Because people tending to pigs are definitely a rarity in a place like this," he said, with a hinting sneer as he took a wide look about the landscape. He opened his mouth to continue in a more sincere tone, only to be cut off by a boy's shouting. From the direction of the noise, came scurrying a white-gray furred animal, sent into a fright by the boy in chase. While the animal took refuge behind Aria, Qamar had approached the boy. "Well, by the logic we've voted confidence in, Taran would most definitely have a pig along with him," Glyde chided lightly. "So likely not; unless said pig has strayed from its keeper."​

"While appreciated, that's not what I meant." Chrono then decided to be upfront with what he wanted to know. "The Lightchaser, you know the most about him out of all of us and I'd like to be more informed about him." They were supposed to be a team and the Light Chaser was their common enemy at this point, any information could prove to be useful to them. "So I'll ask again, what's going on in that head of yours?"

 

Boreas didn't say anything, he couldn't exactly blame them for being curious and disliking the secrets especially when Torrin himself disliked the council for their secrets. At least Chrono was direct about it and not beating around the bush. He listened as Torrin gave a short summary of what happened in those six years since he had left. He had been fighting in a war, a different war than this one. While the opposing sides were significantly smaller it was still a war. Torrin mentioned the instructions that the master had told him before passing. To protect the light, a look of amusement played across Boreas' face for a moment. "I can attest what Torrin said regarding the Light Chaser's strength, I didn't cross blades with him myself that time, but he is very strong, it was obvious from the fight I witnessed." Boreas said, backing up the claim of Torrin that the Light Chaser was more powerful than any member of the Council, simply because their strongest members were there that time and he still single-handedly beat them back.

Hearing Tinarah speak like that simply irritated Boreas, it was almost as if she admitted projecting the other Torrin onto this one not wanting to see what was in front of her. He cast a quick glance to Torrin, almost wanting to voice his irritation but the look on Torrin's face told him to keep quiet. At the very least she was seeing now that this Torrin wasn't the same as the version she encountered in this supposed other realm, he supposed that was something. It had been something he had told her from the stat but she didn't believe him. The other Torrin wanted to destroy the light and finish the old war, but the instability that would bring would destroy everything. It was why they had halted their advance during the old war, to make sure that didn't happen. Either way it didn't matter right now and Boreas kept his mouth shut.​

"Owowow, alright, alright now. No need to grip my leg so tightly," Aria said to Gurgi as she did her best to pry the creature off of her calve, but to no avail. "Well, uh, we were traveling by and Dallben was on his way to you when he twisted his ankle. He sent us to you instead. I'm Aria by the way. This is Illiana, Qamar, Glyde, and Master Thallasa. We're warriors of light in a sense. We go around fighting dark creatures and helping others out." She then looked down at Gurgi and moved her leg slightly so she could get a better look at him. "It's not nice to take others munchies, er... Gurgi? Gurgi, yeah. Tell you what. I have some munchies in my bag of mine. If you give Taran his apple back for Hen Wen, then I'll give you something even tastier in return. Ah? How about it? Maybe I'll throw in twoooo munchies and crunchies if you're good."

 

"That explains the pig." Qamar responded once Taran explained himself. She looked to see Gurgi going crazy about getting hit and she watched Aria offer food in exchange for the apple. "Oh yes, I also have munchies and crunchies. Way better than a dumb apple anyway." she added on. "We'll give you both of ours for that apple. Promise."

Qamar leaned down and put a hand on Gurgi's shoulder gently. "But I really like apples, can I have it please?" she asked. "He won't hit you because he'll hit me or Aria first." Qamar looked up to Taran and nodded at him. "Now just throw that stick down, okay?"​

Chrono had fortunately been able to keep his balance while listening to Torrin's tale thanks in part to the advice he had been given by Boreas. As for the tale, Chrono was silent as he processed everything. He already knew before that the Light Chaser was strong. In order to do half the things he'd apparently done, you would have to be. To singlehandedly take out a Master and all of their students. It certainly put into perspective the concerns that the council had regarding him. "Protect the light, is that why you've been hanging around Aria lately?" Chrono noticed that, but had no reason to think much of it at the time. "You could've told us if that was the case."

Take heard Torrin mention something about caught attention and he flew quickly in the direction of where the silver haired boy. Though Takehiko didn't actually see whatever he was talking about. So when Torrin used upward momentum to reach the top of the building by getting off of his glider mid ascent, the boy's eyes widened and he tried to move a little faster just in case Torrin somehow missed his target.

When he reached Torrin who was mumbling about where his target went, Takehiko jumped onto the roof with him, dismissing his glider and kind of catching Nini mid-fall and holding her up as he said,"Could we maybe try not doing that risky a landing tactic? It takes a large gust of wind for that to go from a cool landing to skydiving without a parachute." then Take began looking around as Nini jumped out of his hands and started slowly making her way obviously straight towards Torrin and the boy asked, "What did you see?"

Aria smiled as Gurgi handed the apple back over without little to no problem. As promised, Aria knelt down to Gurgi’s height and pulled out a shiny apple of her own from her bag, and also a chocolate bar. “Here you go, Gurgi. As promised.” She opened the chocolate bar wrapper and pulled it down part way. “I... don’t know if you like chocolate, but it’s pretty tasty.”

After handing the snacks over to the furry creature, Aria stood to attention. Taran told them they could come, which made Aria relieved he would put their trust in them. “Aye, you’re the boss,” Aria said with a small salute. After all, Taran probably knew more about this world than them.

It didn’t take long for them to find Hen Wen, and she was in trouble it sounded like. Aria looked to the others before sprinting ahead. She gasped when they came on the clearing and saw the swarm of heartless around the pig. It was an odd sight to see so many attack an animal, but they were told she was a special pig. She then saw a Gargoyle heading over to Taran and summoned her keyblade, charging at it with full force and a yell. She slashed at it a few good times and then held a defense position as she analyzed the situation. “Don’t worry, we got you covered!”

A group of Soldier Heartless were coming over and Aria unleashed Sonic Blade on them, taking out 7 of them. Two Air Pirates headed her way as well, which she took care of swiftly.

Well that was smoother than she thought. Qamar was ready to grab the small, hairy creature if it didn't give the apple, but luckily it worked with them and relinquished the fruit. Qamar stood back up and nodded at Taran. "Yes, sir." she said, smiling. However,a pig squealed in the distance and that caused everyone to rush forward and see the source of the noise. They were greeted by the sight of heartless and a pig. "That's Hen Wen?" she asked, looking over at the pig. "Taran, you grab Hen Wen and protect her. We'll deal with the dark things!" she said, holding her keyblade out.

Qamar rushed for a large group of Soldiers who were lurking next to the pig. She started to cut them down, one my one. As her blade struck every third, it seemed to take out a fourth with it. She ended up taking out the large crowd, giving Taran ample time to rush forward and grab the pig. "Now's your chance!" she called, ready to dodge any attacks that come her way.

Boreas was debating whether to openly ask Chrono why Torrin had to justify hanging around Aria. But before he could really decide on it Torrin gave a half answer to Chrono which was perfectly fine by him. It just rubbed him the wrong way that his friend was being put on the spot like that having to defend his simple presence near someone. It was his choice who he hung around with. There was a silhouette ahead of them and Torrin pulled straight up. Boreas stood up in a low crouch pulled on the handles and pushed down to pull up his glider alongside Torrin racing up verticly to the top of the building. Boreas followed Torrin's example Boreas too changed his keyblade back midflight landing to the right of his friend. Take argued to not do that risky a landing again with a gust of wind sending it into a plunge into oblivion. "Well should you come up short just form up your glider again and continue, but I get why you wouldn't want to do that at this point." Boreas said, he shifted his blade slowly but surely into it's glaive-guisarme form. "It should still be here right? We ought to look around the rooftop, see if we can find anything of it's wherabouts." Boreas said as he stepped down from the ledge beside Torrin to start looking.​
