Takehiko wasn't doing particularly well after that last hit, though the boy was trying to keep himself together. He felt like he was on the very last of his energy and he wasn't about it. He knew his reserves weren't spectacular, but he didn't think he had a choice here. The dark room suddenly glowed in a green light as it surrounded Take, giving him a bit more of a leg to stand on. While his keyblade was out he focused on it and began emitting a glowing light for himself and Adalric. He looked towards Torrin and Boreas for a minute before saying, "That eye thing you guys have seems very useful. Kind of wish I had that. Anyway."

The boy made his way over towards the rocks and stared at it saying, "This will be a bit inconvenient." he looked towards Torrin,
"You can make portals, right? That isn't affected by magic, is it?"

The moment that Chrono saw Mr Incredible grin, he knew that it wasn't a good thing and seeing the stone table that he was about to pelt them with reaffirmed that. Fortunately he was able to find some cover that didn't get ripped apart by the numerous pieces of stone that were being thrown. When the stones had cease, Chrono peaked out from behind his hiding spot just in time to see Mr. Incredible leave along with the two villains.

Then came in the hats and despite how odd this was, he'd rather this then deal with Mr. Incredible. Moving out from his spot, he swiftly took care of four of them through vicinity break before knocking away two more that had floated over towards him.

Well that didn't exactly go as planned. While Tinarah seemed to have caught the man by surprise he did not expect her to jump out at him again. It got his attention off Aria but Tinarah still didn't manage to make purchase with him as a barrier went up to block her. This was not something that Tinarah was used to dealing with. Fighting heartless, they couldn't put up walls to block her assault, but this man could. Luckily for her however, somehow Thallasa managed to retain the ability to still use her magic and was able to knock the man out of the building, causing the other lady to retreat with Mr. Incredible in toe. That wasn't good, they would need to go after them, but first there was more enemies floating around that needed dealt with.

Looking around Tinarah quickly guaged what they could and couldn't do. From what she could tell she couldn't actually get too far until they dealt with this things, and the crazy lady that lived here probably wouldn't be happy if they left her to deal with these creatures herself. Keeping that in mind Tinarah cautiously moved into battle, giving herself a little bit of distance between her and the rest of the party, just so that she had more room to work with. The closest she had come to fighting with other people was when she worked with one of Torrins groups, but they always worked in open areas. Putting her training to good use Tinarah started to take out the helping hats, making pretty short work of the first five, before she turned to see who was next.

The Helping Hats began to zoom around in the house, their metal claws spinning about and cutting the group as they flew by. Thallasa charged forth and began to systematically destroy several of them, destroying each she manage to catch with her keyblade in a single blow.

Torrin chuckled at the mention of his and Boreas's eyes. It wasn't too often that someone from the Realm of Light wasn't creeped out by it. Most of the time people assumed they were Heartless. "Thanks." Torrin pushed himself back to his feet and thought for a moment, not having considered using a portal to get out of there. He scratched his chin and shrugged. "You know what? I don't know. Might as well give it a shot since there's nothing else to do other than try blasting our way out...and I don't want to be buried alive today."

Torrin summoned his keyblade and held it out. A beam of light shot forward and a column of light was created. As soon as it was created the portal began to distort and quickly lose its shape, becoming unstable. "That's not supposed to happen. It must be the Magitek." The portal shrank a few inches. Torrin raised his keyblade and held his concentration on the portal to keep it from disappearing. "Hurry and get out! It should take you to the other side of the debris but I can't hold it open forever!"

Aria looked over at Glyde was getting in worse shape by the minute. “Hey! Anyone got magic left in them to help Glyde?! I don’t have enough left in me to help. He doesn’t look so good!

She then saw that the weird hats were almost gone all together. Hopefully after this, everyone would catch the break they needed. She went after another group of five, going at them to try to get the numbers down again.

Glyde was looking bad and Aria was calling for help but there was none that Tinarah could offer. Tinarah shifted uncomfortably knowing that the only thing that she could do to help was deal with the enemies that were attacking. More of them she could deal with the less of a threat that they would be. With that in mind, Tinarah set out to fight the helping hats that surrounded them. She grit her teeth in annoyance as she let loose a string of attacks on the enemies around them, trying to make short work of them is she could. Between her health and the injuries she was taking, at this pace she wouldn't be too far behind Glyde if they didn't deal with this guys quickly.

Chrono didn't have any means that he could use to help out Gylde. If he did, then he would've been used it on himself before he got to this point. He could still move and swing his keyblade and as long as he could do that, then he could power through his injuries. The remaining group of five hearts were nearby and Chrono went in to break them with quick swings of his keyblade.

Come on body, don't give out on me right now. Glyde tried... and failed to budge under the weight of his own weakness. Mr. Incredible's attack on him had left him worse for the wear than he had thought. The task of returning to his feet was laborofus, or would have been if he had been able to make it that far. Instead, he lay in the corner, then turned over onto his right side watching the Helping Hats storm into the living room. The hats set upon the Keybearers without hesitation. Glyde only found himself more at risk, as several slashed at him as they passed around. He took several weak swipes, managing little more than to compel them away and into the path of the more able bodied combatants.

With the battle coming to an end for the moment, he propped himself up with his Keyblade, and gathered up his cloak. Shaking at the knees, he forced himself to his feet. In a hobbling fashion, Keyblade thudding against the floor as he used it as a crutch, he made his way towards the broken window.

Qamar kept back and watched out for any Helping Hats. The hates eventually retaliated and she ended up taking damage while trying to dodge them. She tsk'd and looked down at her leg, a fresh gash across her stockings. The hats finally made her mad and she was ready to start attacking, but she knew staying back was just as good. Besides, she looked over in time to see Glyde get the crap beat out of him. She even saw how bad he was hurt and that made her wince. When she had a chance, she ran over to him and caught him as he finally got to the window.

"Hey, no need to push yourself. Especially after you got the utter s**t beat out of you just now." she said this, holding him close and using some of her MP to cast a Cura spell on Glyde. "Don't die, okay...?" she said, concern in her voice. For some reason, she had a soft spot for ones who were hurting and she ddin't want to see any of her new comrades get hurt enough to be knocked out. "Maybe knocking you out would be a better idea anyway..." she muttered, shaking her head. "You okay?" she asked, looking down at Glyde in her arms.

The Darkside was easily destroyed after Torrin joined them but not before retaliating against them, knocking all of them into the wall. Boreas scrambled back to his feet, but the Darkside was already gone. "Yeah, I've had worse..." Boreas said, it was dark now and while he could see that Take and Adalric were still with them, their lack of glowing eyes was something he'd have to get used to but still, Take took Torrin's place in lighting the room before them and then commented on their eyes and shrugged he didn't know any better than everyone having the yellow eyes in the dark.

When Take brought up portals Torrin figured it was worth a try Boreas figured the same but the Portal didn't seem to be very stable. "
Torrin, if I go through I can try stabilising it from the other side, make sure you can get through too. Alternatively I can try my hand at one of my own from the other side so you can get through. I'll try stabilising it first though." Boreas said, he knew he was wasting rather precious time here. He made a swift gesture for towards the portal for Take and Adalric telling them to get going too, lest they strained his friend unnecessarily so. Boreas was the first to get through the portal, once on the other side he held out his keyblade, trying to help Torrin stabilise the portal from the opposite side.

Take didn't waste any time when it became clear the portal was going to disappear, the boy made a run for it and jumped through, arguably before Boreas even had to encourage it. He waited on the other side with enough space between them making sure everyone made it out.

"I..." though she had taken hold of him before he could set out from the window, Glyde held his gaze away from Qamar. While his body as a whole reoriented as if to face towards her, he continued to look out towards the city. "I'm fine," he said, after his restoration by way of Cura set in fully. His lips thinned, and his eyes narrowed, almost closing completely. "I'd have been fine. Thank you, but it's better that I start to mend myself up on my own from now on; can't have people spilling magic on my account when I'm capable of setting myself right.

"Anyways." He opened his eyes fully, and turned to group still in the living room. "What are we supposed to do about this," he said, pointing his Keyblade down the hill in the direction the villains and Mr. Incredible had ran off in. "We're not gonna just let them get away like that, right? But if that last scuffle was any indicator, we really don't stand much of a chance if Mr. Incredible is under their control now. And you know they're not just gonna take him for a run..."

When the dust settled Edna Mode stepped out into the room, glass crunching underneath her shoes. She shook her head and walked over to the shattered window to stare out. "This is terrible...this is terrible!" She exclaimed. "With Mr. Incredible gone the city will be at their mercy! And if no one stops these villains now they'll plot for world domination! I must tell the other supers what's happened!" She pulled a phone out and held still for a moment, looking at the group of keyblade wielders, her eyes examining the bunch from behind her glasses. "Hm...yes...yes. But we have no other choice. I have a lot of work ahead if I'm going to turn you from heroes to superheroes." Without another word she rushed out of the room.

"Quite sprightly for someone of her stature." Master Thallasa commented on Edna's speed. "I like her." Her keyblade vanished from her hand. "Well done with handling yourselves, everyone. You have just as much fight in you as I expected. I believe we should be safe enough to rest, now. From what I've been told, you lot have had a very long day." She ran her hands through her hair and sighed softly. "Hm...The others should be checking in soon."

Takehiko went through. Adalric went through. Boreas stayed back for a second longer, telling him that he would help stabilize the portal from the other side. It was a good thing too because if Torrin had been made to hold it for even a moment longer he would not have been able to keep it open himself. Torrin's vision faded, his strength continued to leave him as he approached the unstable portal. He dragged his legs forward feeling that his entire body was fighting his every movement. "I am not letting my body tell me when to stop." Torrin gritted his teeth and as he reached the portal his vision momentarily went black. It came back as quickly as it faded but just for an instant as he crossed the threshold, he could feel the embrace of sleep take him.

Torrin stepped onto the other side of the portal. The world he stood on was not the same he had just been on. He stood atop a roof but the city skyline was different with towers that rose higher than those in the previous world. He stepped towards the edge, looked up at the night sky as dark clouds swirled overhead. Thunder rumbled and bolts of lightning struck down cracking entire buildings in half. He knew this world.

"So it's true then..." A voice came from behind Torrin.

"What?" Torrin turned to find himself staring at a man with gray hair and yellow eyes. His facial structure greatly resembled his and the black uniform he wore was identical to that of his uncle's. He did not need someone to spell it out for him who it was he was now facing. "What the...this can't be real. There's no way I breached into another dimension." He spoke quietly in disbelief.

"Dreams have a funny way of closing the gap between realms." The man spoke coolly. In the distance a group of buildings collapsed and fell into the crumbling earth as the world shook itself apart. "Tell me, Torrin. What's so special about this world that we've appeared here?"

He looked over at the destruction that surrounded them. "The world I trained at in the Realm of Light was destroyed...and this was the first world I tried to save from the same fate. I had just been named keyblade master, I had survived what should have been a fatal wound, and I knew I was strong. In my arrogance I thought that I could face the Heartless alone right on the brink of a world's destruction." Torrin's eyes followed the skyline towards the two yellow eyes, as large as a moon would have been in the sky, stared down at the world from beyond the dark clouds. Another cluster of buildings plummeted to the darkness below as others were ripped from the ground and sucked into the void above. "I should have evacuated whoever I could..." Torrin turned towards his other self. "What does any of this matter to you?"

"It doesn't." The man said dismissively with a small smile. "You, however, do. See, it'll take me some time to wipe out the rest of the stragglers on my end, to snuff out the last little torches of light. I need to see what kind of stuff my other-dimensional self is made of." He mused.

    "What does that even mean?"

"Honestly I don't think it's even worth mounting your skull above my second throne. Can't afford to have weakness around me. I'll have to torch your Boreas as well. If you're so soft I can't imagine how pathetic he is." The older Torrin shook his head in disappointment.

Torrin summoned his keyblade and leapt at his elder self. The blade came down. It phased right through the older Torrin as if he wasn't even there. "Oh? You thought that'd hurt me? Don't you think I would have killed you by now if I had the chance?" He chuckled. "I suppose I should give you a little gift to celebrate this occasion. It isn't every day that I get to talk to myself."

"How about I cross over and run my blade through your-"

The elder Torrin snapped his fingers causing the scenery to shift to melt away. Torrin's vision went white and when his eyes finally adjusted he vaguely recognized the new location. He found that he was sitting down in a long hallway. Torrin blinked and looked around, finally remembering where he had seen this place before. It was the west wing of the Council's castle. As he stood up Torrin looked around for his other self but saw nothing. "Show yourself!" His voice echoed on through the hall but was met with no response. There was a soft thud that came from beyond a closed door beside him. Seeing nothing else for him to do but to check it out he walked over and tugged at the door handle. It didn't budge. "Why is it locked? Isn't this a dream?" He tugged again. Still no change. Torrin held out his hand trying to call for his keyblade but even that did not come to him. He sighed in frustration and resorted to kicking the door which cracked open in a single swift blow.

The room was pitch black and, even though it should not have been possible, he could not see through the heavy darkness that obscured the room. Torrin stepped forward slowly. Squelch. There was some resistance, his boot sticking to the floor, as he pulled back immediately and stepped back into the hallway leaving bloody prints on the white marble floor. A sick stench of burnt hair and flesh permeated the air making him cough and gag. He took another step back to catch his breath but the castle air was stale and dried his throat.

    "H-help..."

Torrin's stomach churned and a chill ran up his spine. "No." He rushed forward, ignoring the sounds of his boots slapping against the wet floor, stumbling when they squeaked and slipped. He regained his balance only to nearly trip again when he kicked something soft. He cursed under his breath and looked down in vain. Whoever it was, he just couldn't tell. He stepped over "obstacle".

    "Make it stop!"

He held his hands out in front of him, stumbling in the darkness and trying to feel his way through the room. His foot fell onto something that crunched and gave way to his weight. "Dammit!" He took another step and it landed on something soft. Something that squished and gave off a foul odor when disturbed. He could hear fluids drain out from whatever he had stepped on and covered his nose. The stench made his eyes water nonetheless.

"Enjoying my work of art so far?" Somewhere in the darkness came his other's voice. Torrin turned quickly looking for the source of his voice. "Oh that's right. This is a darkness you're not used to looking through, is it?" Torrin spun around, feeling a cold rush of air behind him but saw nothing. "Have you ever felt the rush from getting your hands bloody? I have. There's a primal power that comes with it. Something older, something blacker, than darkness."

"You're never crossing over. You're nothing more than a guilt-induced hallucination!" Torrin's keyblade flashed into his left hand. "I'm not you. No one will hear of you ever again. You're going to be forgotten and be left to fade away in your own hell."

Two slanted red eyes on the opposite end of the room. They could not have belonged to anything human. They began to draw closer towards Torrin. He could hear a heavy deep breathing coming. A heavy weight of power enveloped him paralyzing Torrin. "I'm going to butcher them all. I will find you. NO ONE ESCAPES ME."

Torrin emerged on the other end of the portal and it closed the instant he crossed over. He heaved and hunched over, his eyes dilated and his face covered in a cold sweat. He looked up to see Boreas. "G-good." He panted. "Let's...let's get out of here. We need to get to the others!" He motioned for everyone to get moving. "Come on!"

Aria breathed out in relief and let her keyblade disappear. Finally, somewhat of a break. She rubbed the back of her neck and watched as Edna disappeared and Master Thallasa told them they could rest. She made her way over the glass to stand by Glyde and Qamar, looking out where the others vanished. “... I don’t think we have much of a choice but to take a break at this point,” Aria muttered. “It’s going to get dark soon, and like you said we probably won’t stand a chance. Not right now anyways.

Aria then turned to the mess behind her. Furniture was tossed around, glass and marble were everywhere, and she couldn’t help but to frown at this. “
I’m gonna clean this up,” Aria mumbled. She felt awful that they attracted villains to the house of their host and caused all of this destruction, and let their new super friend escape under the spell or power of one of the said bad guys. She went over to her bag and pulled out a bandana, tying back the loose strands of hair and went off looking for some cleaning supplies. Even if she wanted to sleep tonight, she didn’t think she could. Today was a long day with so many things running through her mind.

After looking around the place briefly, Aria returned back with a large garbage can, a push broom, and a sweeping broom in it with a dustpan. Without expecting anyone to jump in, Aria started off by taking the push broom and began to push the mess of glass and marble into one big pile out of the way of everyone. If anyone needed immediate first aid, she would stop and help them out the best she could. Without her magic though, she was feeling kind of useless.

They were all dealt with and now it was seemingly safe. Edna came out to see them commenting on how terrible things were before once again turning her attention to turning them into super heroes. Tinarah shook her head a bit a little annoyed that this thing kept going on when they weren't heroes, but she didn't feel like arguing at that time. Placing a hand to her head Tinarah took a step back and settled down a little bit, finding a seat on the floor to take a break. She should have been okay, she should have gotten back up to help, but her body refused. Guilt built in her soul as she thought about how weak she was, how she was holding her friends back. It would have been better if she had stayed behind at the castle, letting her body recover and gain some weight until she was fully healthy again, but the thought of sitting around while her friends fought for all of them, she just couldn't do it. She couldn't let Aria be used and fall to the hands of others. She couldn't sit around and wait for the news that her friends had been killed fighting a battle she should have been a part of. That was why she was here, even if her body was ready to give out at this point, aching for rest.

Thallasa seemed to also want to take a break, but there was a part of Tinarah's mind that didn't think they should.
"They are still out there.... those people, they have attacked civilians and now have taken a hero of this town, can we really afford to rest?" Tinarah used her keyblade to push herself to her feet, she was a little shaky still. "Shouldn't we be stopping them?" If it was Uncle Fost here with them, she knew that he would be rushing out that broken window after them, helping the people, not just sitting here talking about resting and sleeping. Tinarah had seen her world fall apart in moments, she had seen things been destroyed in minutes, to take a break and sleep through the night, there was a paranoia that things would go terribly wrong and that she would fail to help people again. Tinarah was still terrified to lose the people around her, especially after she had seen many of their fates in that alternate universe that she was in.

They had managed to get through this fight without too much issues, but with Mr. incredible on the loose with those two, this whole ordeal was far from being over. They would need to do something about, they had too unless whatever other heroes showed up to help. Like the other guy who was with Mr Incredible back at the fire. Frozone was it? He seemed to be friends with Mr Incredible and he was in danger right now. Seemed to fit in with the usual requirements to get a hero to come save the say.

"Master Thallasa's right, we need to rest. If we just rush out to try and stop them in our current condition then we'll do nothing to help." He understood Tinarah's point, nothing about the situation at hand would normally call for rest, but normally they would be able to use their magic to assist them in combat. As they as that Magiteck generator was up, they would not be able to do that. "Our chances will be better once we've actually rested and have everyone here, ready to fight." Chrono wasn't completely fond of resting while they were out, free to do who knows what, but he also knew that they couldn't afford to take risks like that right now.

Takehiko watched the way Torrin just seemed to be very worked up and he couldn't really help it as he placed his right hand firmly on Torrin's shoulder and spoke up, "We'll head there but please take a moment to breathe. You look all over the place, and in a way that will only lead to yourself getting hurt if we start rushing. Especially if making that portal took a lot out of you." He stared at him a moment then looked towards Adalric and Boreas, he hoped they wouldn't push for them to move anywhere. Just in case he looked back to Torrin before adding, "Even if it's urgent. No one is helped by someone having... well... for lack of a better word to describe what's going on with you right now, a panic attack."

Boreas was straining to keep the portal open for Torrin, it took a lot of effort to keep the portal open, especially when unbeknownst to him Torrin stopped at the other side and it all relied on him to get his friend out, he gritted his teeth from the exertion. When Torrin came through he didn't look to be in a very good condition, heaving and hunching over. He went over to his friend, placing a hand on his shoulder giving him a questioning look as Take told Torrin to take a moment to breathe. "You alright there? You've been acting a little out of it since that machine became active." Boreas asked his friend in a low voice, not to put his friend on the spot in front of their two companions too much.

Torrin told them to get moving and Boreas remained by his friends side keeping his eyes peeled for another trap, they weren't out of these tunnels yet. "
I'd rather not take that breather here, we're one collapse away from ending up where we just were, I like to suggest we find a bit better place to take that rest, atleast two exits. We gotta keep moving, find a good spot to take that breather, we gotta hold out till then" If they were already in such a jam after this one ambush, they had quite the big problem already as they weren't a single step closer to finding that blasted machine. They had played right into their opponents hands and it irritated him, especially since it seemed like such an obvious trick, he was better than this. Despite their injuries and the weariness they'd have to suck it up and soldier through it.

The voice announcing the activation of the machine had mentioned wanting to see how much fight was left in them when their blades ran out of juice, he started to suspect that he had looked at it wrong and they were going to get through a battle of attrition, if only he hadn't been so tough on everyone with his run, they might have felt in a little better position to take on this fight.

Well, since the urgency of the scenario seemed to call for them to not have him Take the breather there. Take just let go of Torrin's shoulder and said,
"Guess no break then. Just don't drop on us then. You look like you're going to." and he just quickly moved on ahead lighting up the room with his keyblade, what with what little energy he had left. Hopefully the plot's tunnel end was there soon.

With the others making known their curiosity regarding the nature of her goals, Chrys took a large gulp of her drink, finishing the Paopu fruit juice off before setting her glass on the table. She let out a sigh as she tried to figure out how to even start such a story.

"When I was a little girl...growing up in the castle..." She started with only the barest hints of hesitation. "My brother and I heard stories... mostly a legend about a Crystal, and the deity who had left it behind. He came from beyond time they say, and he and his allies fought a great war against those who sought to do us harm. When the fighting ended, he used his powers to form a great crystal and told the people that someday, in the distant future, someone would be born who could wield the crystals' power." She let out a small yet humorless chuckle. "It's a classic 'chosen one' story... The heir to the crystals power is supposed to dethrone the evil that has taken the world... but the crystal... it vanished, not long after I was born. I was always confused about that growing up. My brother didn't seem to know why either." She gave a brief pause. To the others, she would most likely appear to be making a sudden change in subject, but they would see the relevance soon enough.

"Chrystopher, my older brother, and I... were a lot closer when we were younger. We played together all the time, and even though we fought, nothing seemed to ever tear us apart... until one day, when it all just stopped. I didn't understand why, but my brother... he didn't really ever stick around to spend time with me. He started to always have this sad sort of mood. Never really angry, just sad. That was also around the time I started receiving formal training for taking the throne. He was pretty much free to do whatever he wanted as far as I could tell, so I didn't find myself doing much about it other than sitting around in stuffy clothes, envying his apparent freedom. I should have thought about it more: our kingdom had never really had any specific rules about the gender of the heir, so it should have stuck out to me that I was selected when he was supposed to be the oldest... but I had forgotten all about the other stories I had heard when I was younger." She took a deep breath before continuing.

"My father was the evil that had taken over the land. We hadn't really noticed: he may not have been the best ruler, but he was hardly a tyrant. He had grown mad with power though. He... wanted to stay in control. So when the Crystal and I... reacted to each other before it's disappearance, he found his in. He was going to steal the light for himself. So he had the court mages and scientist... Well, I don't really know what exactly they did, or even have the vaguest clue of how, but they... used some of my DNA and... they changed the crystal. They changed it into a... sort of clone. They... they made my brother. Chrystopher was the Crytal of our world... and my father... he was going to use our power to rule forever. Mother knew the whole time." Her eyes were starting to well up with unshed tears, but she couldn't stop her story now.

"There were rumors of course. Whisperings told between adults, the inner mechanisms of authority, unmeant for children's ears. I heard enough though. Enough to carelessly toss out his apparent lack of humanity as some sort of excuse for why I should get to play with a toy." At that, a single tear did finally break free of its shackles, though the rest remained bound. "He had heard things too. He didn't really remember being the Crystal, but he was smart enough to know that Mom and Dad didn't really think of him as their son. He wasn't even allowed to leave the castle grounds, even for reasons of diplomacy or some such nonsense! It was no wonder he stopped talking to me... To even for a second imply that I thought the same... that I thought of him as some kind of tool..." She had long since started staring down into her lap, and her vision was blurry with her unshed tears.

"I was the same to them. They gave me all that training just to keep up appearances, all while waiting... They didn't even really bother to give us different names...They gave us some lame excuses when the day finally came. Said once they had all that power they'd recreate us. Screw that though. It wouldn't have changed what they would have done. The day I learned all this... the day we both finally learned the whole truth, was the day our world was consumed by the darkness my parents had brought to it. The Master saved me, but... I don't know what happened to my brother. So I swore: whatever happened to Chrys, I'd get both him and our world back. To heck with my parents though: as far as I'm concerned, Chrystopher is the only one of the three that's really my family, no matter how he was made."

She couldn't contain her tears, and they fell into her lap one by one. "Geez, sorry. I talk too much sometimes, huh? You just asked what my goals were, not all that other stuff..."
