Take was glad that for once, he felt like one of the concerns he jumped in on was heard and was going to be addressed. That said, he was a little confused why she specifically had Torrin, Boreas, and himself going. He was a bit grateful though, cause that meant he'd be able to be actively helping out and not just sitting on the sidelines. Though he felt a bit for Aria, he could tell she really wanted to help out wherever she could and it killed her inside a bit to have to keep tabs on herself because she was a princess of heart. Take looked to Aria and Chrono and said, "Can't speak for these two, but I'll be careful. I look forward to your chocolate beverages." Take gave her a thumbs up and then looked over to Torrin and Boreas, from what he knew Boreas seemed to be a pretty stand up individual, and Torrin had kept an eye on Atmos when she was injured. Sure, the realm of darkness thing was something still on the table but he didn't know if that was necessarily bad. It was more of Tinarah's whole experience with the future that threw him off. He just hoped from the bottom of his heart that it was some kind of trick or trap that the Light Chaser planted and not an actual future. But maybe he'd get a chance to learn more about these two.

Thallasa seemed to agree with the splitting of forces. Take, Torrin and himself were to scout out the machine see if they could find the machine they had until an hour after nightfall. "Understood." Boreas said, he knew he wasn't going to be the one in charge of their group but he'd remind Torrin "Is there any way we can easily contact you quickly while we are in the field, without having to return to wherever it is yourself and the others are staying?" Boreas asked Master Thallasa. A quick way of communication would be handy and perhaps it'd be good to see where this other group was headed first so they knew where to return to. "Perhaps it is a good idea that before we set out to do our part that we see where the others would be resting up so we know where to return to." Boreas said before turning to Mr Incredible. "Unless you have directions or a map of sorts for us. We could save some time and it would be very helpful if you did."

He heard Aria saying she'd stay back this time, she didn't seem happy about it but he understood how she felt. Duty could be a heavy burden. They were told to be careful which given this was a scouting mission. If they could locate the device and contact Thallasa quickly to inform her and proceed with taking it out. He grinned a little when Take said he couldn't speak for Torrin and himself. He'd be careful too but he wasn't going to be overly cautious, he also had no idea what this beverage was they were talking about but it sounded rather intriguing. Perhaps this little mission would give him an opportunity to talk to Torrin since they hadn't really had much of a chance since they met and maybe he'd get to know some more about his fellow soldier Take as well.

Adalric watched the two "heroes" work, and began to read them. The dark skinned one seemed to, outside of his ice powers, be a regular human. What's more, it didn't appear to be magic so much as an extraordinary ability. Interesting... As for the other...He was, well, incredible. His strength and durability we're monstrous, the latter possibly exceeding his own. And his speed wasn't even compromised as a result. In terms of raw physical ability, he was easily on par with any of the masters. Technique and magic were the only things that put them above him in terms of efficiency in battle.

His concentration was pulled away by the sound of maniacal laughter. While he didn't get enough of a look to read the clown, he did become aware of something as he spoke. He realized the spent stamina from that last battle hadn't returned. While he was mostly fine apart from mild fatigue, he couldn't expend his resources recklessly until this device was dealt with. There seemed to be a little bit of a dispute about whether or not they should search for the device now or rest first.

Adalric chimed in, approaching Mr. incredible.
"I realize this might be a tad presumptuous of us, but do you think you would be able to help us search for this...magiteck device he spoke of? It's... detrimental to our strength to say the least, and we'd almost certainly be able to deal with them if it weren't for it. I understand you're a hero. You want to stop them from performing random acts of terror like the apartment building yes?" Adalric then turned to Thallasa. "Would it be alright if I went with them to search? I'm alright on stamina, and I'm not particularly hurting for rest."

Every had stepped forward and agreed that just resting would be a bad idea. Qamar wanted to voice her opinion, but she knew she didn’t care where she was stuck. She just didn’t want to find herself getting bored. Especially after that last battle, she was ready and itching for another fight. Once Master Thallasa chose who would go, Qamar was a little disappointed. “Aw, man…” she mumbled, sighing. She then looked at Aria who also seemed a little disheartened. Qamar put a hand on her shoulder and smiled. “Next time, okay?” she chuckled. She watched Aria promise some hot chocolate to Torrin and that made Qamar’s mouth water. “Oh man, I want some too!” she said, excited. “That hot chocolate was really good last time, Aria!”

Adalric approached Mr Incredible and spoke to him about the device. Once he asked Thallasa if he could go, she stepped up and patted Adalric on the back. “Yeah I can definitely agree with letting him go. He’s got way more stamina than even me.” she said. “And I do weekly 3k runs.” She smiled to Adalric and stretched herself. She then returned to Aria and Torrin.

“Here.” she said, producing an energy bar from her pocket. “I was saving it for later, but I think you’re the one who needs it most right now. You look like utter s**t right now. It ought to help you at least feel a tiny bit better.” Regardless of him taking it, she did shove it into his hand. Whether he ate it or not was up to him. “I promise I’ll make sure Aria is safe. You have my word.” she bowed to Torrin. “Besides, I’m the fastest and strongest girl here. All I need is for her to watch my back and Aria is plenty capable of that.”

Disappointment washed over Tinarah when Thallasa announced the group that was going to check it out. While Thallasa tried to back her decision why not to send Tinarah, it felt a little more like an excuse and not a real reason. She didn't need her brother to go with her, nothing said he had to go, and looking at Torrin, he could have been in better shape. That being said so could she. Her lungs still burned from the intake of smoke earlier. Looking back between the group of chosen and Thallasa, Tinarah knew better than to question those who were above her and backed down instead of fighting it.

Everyone was starting to interact and wish each other luck as the scouting party prepared to depart, but Tinarah took a step back, trying to separate herself from that, the disappointment of it all. She glanced over at Aria, wondering if the girl felt the same way that she did, after all both of them had been worried about not even being allowed to help on these missions, and now they were both being forced to stay behind as Take, Torrin, and Boreas scouted ahead for them, likely waiting with some strange lady that may or may not tolerate them for the night.

After a moment Tinarah walked over to her brother since there was only one thing she could think of that would help her calm herself.
"Can I have my violin back? Take said you were holding onto it for me." She asked her brother quietly. It may not be appropriate to play right now, but her violin might make her feel better, and this one... this one she hadn't seen for over five years. This violin had once meant everything to her and she hadn't even held it since getting back, much less played it.

Torrin smiled a little at Aria as she nudged against him. "Yeah. It'll be fine. It'll take more than some device to slow me down." He assured her. "And that treat better be there when I get back. It's really good." Torrin watched Aria for a moment and stepped back away from the others to get ready to move out with Boreas and Take.

Qamar suddenly approached him and shoved something into his hand. He blinked at the bar and turned it over, raising an eyebrow. It wasn't going to do him any good but he pocketed it anyway. "Uh...thanks." The thought was appreciated but he had seen energy bars before and he never found the appeal to them. He glanced over at Adalric who questioned Mr. Incredible about helping them search for the device.

"Well I need to the rest of your friends over to Edna's place but if you're looking for a secret hiding place your best bet is to try the subway. The tunnels were abandoned a few months back ever since the new railway system replaced them." Mr. Incredible motioned towards a sealed off subway entrance on the other side of the park.

"Well I do not see the harm in sparing one more of use to help out. Especially if you all will be exploring some tunnels. Alright Adalric, you can go." She held out four small star-shaped badges. "Master Kidemonas gave these to me for situations like this. They're communications devices. They should still function even in this field. Just put these on your shirt and tap on them if you want to communicate with me or anyone else with one."

"Well let's get moving." Mr. Incredible spoke. "And good luck you four."

"We should get moving too. We'll meet up with you guys later. " Torrin pinned the badge to his coat and motioned with his head for the others to follow him.

Half an hour passes for Team Incredible...

The group arrived in front of a large gate with bars consisting of lasers blocking off the entrance to a mansion sitting atop a green hill. Mr. Incredible walked up to a screen on the wall and it turned on automatically revealing...an empty gray space. "What? Who's there? Who are you?" From the bottom of the screen came a small woman with glasses peering a little too closely into the monitor, practically sticking her nose into it. Her eyes widened when she saw Mr. Incredible but darted over towards the group behind him. "You brought friends?"

"Yeah I was thinking you could...help them out! Costumes, new identities, the full package!"

The gate opened. "Come come! Young heroes you say? Let's see what they are made of!"

Aria didn't like splitting up the team like this. With villains out running amuck and putting people in danger, it didn't feel right to call it quits so soon on their arrival. Even though she was feeling tired and kind of out of it, she wanted to get things taken care of before going to sleep.

If she could even sleep tonight, that was.

She hung back with the others while Mr. Incredible was talking to a screen when a short lady seemed to pop up on said screen, and let them in. She looked down at her own clothes, wondering what kind of costumes was in mind for them. Suddenly remembering something as they walked, Aria reached into her bag and went over by Illiana. "
Hey, I know you probably already forgot about it by now, but uh..." She pulled out a bundle of herbs from her bag tied with purple ribbon and smiled a little and handed it to Illiana. "I got you some more Valerian Root before we settled in for the night. I just kept forgetting to give it to you. So here. Hopefully this replaces the supply I didn't uh... drink... or save."

She then looked back over at Tinarah to see how she was doing, seeing that she and Chrono were kind of hanging out together and was glad for it. She smiled at her and then looked back ahead to the mansion on top of the hill. She wondered what this lady was going to be like, and she wondered if the recon group would be fine.

Realizing she hadn't said much to Mr. Incredible, she walked by him. "
Um, I didn't get to say it back there, but thank you for helping us out," Aria said to Mr. Incredible as they trudged up the hill. "We really appreciate it."

Boreas took one of the star shaped devices looking at them for a moment. One of the masters had been working on these? He listened to the instructions that were given on the matter. They seemed rather convenient little devices. "Thank you, we'll let you know when we find anything." Boreas said. It wasn't just himself Take and Torrin anymore but Adalric had joined them too and Boreas listened to what mister Incredible had to say, it made sense though, if the tunnels had been abandoned then it would be a good place to hide something like that machine. Qamar seemed to almost swear her keyblade to Torrin by making sure that Aria was going to be safe. Again the mention of this hot chocolate that was supposedly really good. Boreas would have to wait and see. Boreas attached the star shaped device to his armour and followed Torrin, walking beside his friend as the headed for the tunnels.

The weighing of opinions mounted among the team, and Glyde's nervousness swelled in his gut. We're all gonna have to go looking for this Magiteck thing while we're still tired out. by the sound of it the group's majority was in favor eliminating the problem right then and there if they could. Glyde's stomach turned as Thallasa approached with her final word.

An exhaled with of relief escaped him when she divulged the plan. Those that were feeling weak would be sent to a safe place to rest up while Torrin, Boreas, and Take searched for the device.

    ...

In good time, Mr. Incredible had brought them to the gates of a large mansion, seemingly brimming with technology of all sorts. Glyde made another reeling gesture at the hero's comments regarding new clothes and identities. "Because another identity is exactly what I need right now," he spoke facetiously. The gate before them started opening. "See what we're made of ? Don't tell me we have to fight again anyways."

Takehiko looked curiously at the new badges they were given before he clipped it onto his zipper on his shirt. He thought it was interesting how this practical item was given time to take shape and have more of an aesthetic appeal. He figured maybe the stars could be sharped enough to quickly be used as a blade if the time was needd. But then the boy quickly distanced himself as the group began walking towards the tunnels.

Take only stuck behind the two because he didn't wanna do that thing where three kids walked side by side down a street or something and blocked the entire sidewalk so he trailed behind them, looking back a couple of times just to make sure nothing was going to attempt to attack them from behind. As he did, the boy spoke up,
"Why would they put a perfectly good tunnel subway system to waste? Unless the other one is further below ground, you would think this would be better for the weather. And with all the explosions going about you'd think it'd be better to keep something underground to avoid further infrastructure issues. Am I thinking too much about this?"

The boy paused to look at the two older boys concerned before he continued, "Cause I feel like I am. Iunno... maybe they have a habit of cave-ins or something. But doesn't this seem a little..." Take walked trying to think of the word, waving his hands around as if somehow he could beckon the word to come to him with such a simple hand gesture before Take snapped his fingers and said, "Predictable if they were hiding underground? Like, you'd think they'd want somewhere we couldn't find them. Like a random apartment in a complex holding way too many kids. Or a retirement home. Iunno, the last place I'd look would be Tuesday night bingo."

Qamar watched the ones walk off and she was left with the rest. She followed along to the mansion and she didn't really pay attention to what happened. She just wanted to get things over with at this point. As it was, she was completely alone with people she didn't even know a single thing about. She didn't even know their names and half of them most likely didn't care about her. She was as alone as she was when her mother died. Nobody was there that she could count on. Adalric even left her and that scared her deeply. Her heart fluttered in her chest and she looked around at the others. Tinarah would most likely never want a thing to do with her. She didn't even know the names of the rest of them.

"I'm scared, Master Kide..." she muttered under her breath. For the first time since Master Kide had saved her, she was alone. Truly and utterly alone. Following behind the group, Qamar looked up at them and her eyes stopped on Aria. That girl could be friends with anybody. She was the kind of person who'd never treat you bad unless you did bad by her. Qamar was sure she hadn't done anything to Aria, so she hurried to catch up to Aria.

"So um...how do these missions usually go?" she asked. "And uh, I'm gonna need a rundown of who all is in this group...I didn't catch many of their names."

Before Tinarah could get her violin back they were moving on to the person's place that was apparently going to let them stay there, in theory. Clearly Mr. Incredible didn't ask them just kind of volunteered them out. It was surprising that this town didn't have a hotel or something that they could stay at, but she supposed they would take what they could get, besides Tinarah didn't even know if anyone actually had money to put towards a place to stay. She couldn't afford to be picky.

A short walk later and they were approaching what seemed like a mansion of sorts where a laser time gateway was blocking their way. Mr. Incredible walked up to a screen and started to talk and a voice was heard on the other end before a face was seen on the other side, staring closely at the screen before the conversation continued, to the point Tinarah wasn't sure how long they should let this go on for. Finally as they got access and started to walk in Tinarah had the nerves to speak up.
"Um.... We aren't really heroes. We don't need costumes or masks, just a place to stay and rest until we can figure out what is going on with this thing blocking our magic." Tinarah tried to inform Mr. Incredible. She wasn't okay with just lying her way through this, besides she didn't want a new costume, so it was better to tell him straight up. They weren't heroes. It didn't make sense to Tinarah why no one else was willing to say that.

Aria turned to look at Qamar when she suddenly caught up to her. Qamar seemed a little nervous, and maybe somewhat lonely. Aria realized that this was the girl's first mission ever and gave her a friendly smile. "It's really easy," she said, dropping her voice a little since she was trying to not meddle with the affairs of the world by getting Mr. Incredible involved. "We protect the worlds from the darkness, do what we can to help out while we're here." She shrugged her shoulders and looked back to Master Thallasa before looking at Qamar. "So yeah, missions are usually protect, find princesses, and-or help a world out with something they need. Oh yeah, and try to just go with the flow of the worlds. Follow their laws and rules, be friendly, and you'll do fine."

The purplish-pink headed girl looked back at the group and smiled a little at those following. "
So the blonde hair one is Tinarah, as you know she just came back to us yesterday after... stuff... She was training with me and Master Choma before this whole Light Chaser business. Her older brother with the white hair is Chrono, and the black haired guy is Glyde. Both of them trained under Master Atmos. Well, I think Glyde was in a coma of sorts... I dunno why. It's just what I heard. Takehiko, or we call him Take, trained under Master Atmos too. He's the one that went on the recon mission. And then you already know Torrin, and I think his friend is named Boreas? I dunno much about him. Oh yeah, and there's Illiana too. The one with the umbrella. Don't touch it, she gets kinda angry if you do. She trained under... Master Atmos too." Aria grinned and placed her hands behind her back as she walked. "Got all that? I know it's a lot of names."

Following Mr. Incredible was a good chance for Chrono to actually get Tinarah's violin from Aria. Given his lack of pockets or any other means of holding it, giving it to her was the smarter option to prevent it from being damaged. "Ehhh? All that won't be needed, we'll be fine without costumes and secret identities." What would've been a dream come true was something that Chrono outgrew a good four years ago. Therefore to dress up like one would be...odd to say the least. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Aria speaking with Qamar. It he was remembering right, that was her name. He approached the two and said, "Hey Aria, mind if I get Tianrah's violin back now."

Chrono was next to approach Aria, and Aria smiled when Chrono finally asked for Tinarah's violin. "Yeah, sure!" She paused with walking and reached into her magical bag, carefully pulling out the violin with the bow. It was surrounded by her Rainbow Glow and she smiled sheepishly at the older teen. "I wanted to make sure it stayed safe. Here." As soon as she handed the violin over, the bubble disappeared in a pop.

Illiana looked over at Thallasa as she made her decision. She then looked over at the girl as she had called herself the fastest and strongest girl within the other group. "That's more of a personal opinion. Technically...that would be Thallasa. But hey, you're entitled to your own opinion." She shrugged her shoulders after speaking ans looked over as the four were about to leave. "Don't die yada yada yada don't do anything I wouldn't do and all that other caring stuff." She waved her hand at the four as they left. She followed Mr. Incredible as he led to the group in front of a large gate. As a voice came from the screen, Mr. Incredible had then asked the voice to help them out. She continued to walk, rubbing her temple to ease her headache. Aria had walked and held out something to the girl. "Hey, I know you probably already forgot about it by now, but uh..." Illiana looked down to see what she was holding out. "I got you some more Valerian root before we settled in for the night. So here. Hopefully this replaces the supply I didn't uh...drink...or save." As the girl walked off, Illiana looked back at her hand to see the Valerian root that was given to her. She sighed as she looked back at Aria and then back at the root. She rubbed her temple again before mumbling to herself. "That girl, I swear. Just as confusing as another one I know." She continued walking forward, holding the Valerian root, seeing as her umbrella was no longer there thanks to the Magitek. Illiana walked up to Mr. Incredible and spoke. "Just who exactly are we seeing? I'm kind of curious."

Torrin raised an eyebrow at Take's comments, smirking at the thought of the villains playing a game at a retirement home. "Really? That's quite an imagination you've got there." They stopped in front of a sealed doorway that lead to the tunnels below. Torrin summoned his keyblade and casually tapped it against the door hearing a faint click from within the locking mechanism as he did so before making his keyblade disappear. "The way things have played out so far, I'd be surprised if there was any moves we could make that wouldn't lead to a trap." Torrin commented as he headed down the tunnel and into the darkness below. Realizing the two from the Realm of Light would have trouble seeing Torrin once more summoned his keyblade and used what little magical reserves he had to light the tip of it. Even doing that much strained him.

"Alright...now if I was a magical inhibitor...where would I be?" There were only two ways to go. Left and right. "Reminds me of the tunnels back home." Torrin commented. "The only reason battles were ever put on hold were to retreat underground when the Heartless came. Nothing like growing up with living hazards." He mused. "Well...if it is a trap, I don't think we should be splitting up into groups of two. Strength in numbers, right Boreas?"

"Nonsense! You kids were great out there!" Mr. Incredible responded towards Tinarah on her comment about them not being heroes. "With some more practice, I'm sure you kids will be real heroes someday." The man turned towards Illiana and raised an eyebrow. "So you guys really haven't heard of Edna Mode? The Edna Mode? Well she's only the most recognized name in all of superhero fashion! Where do you think these incredible threads came from? Edna of course." He chuckled. "Look, you guys will love her. She's the best."

Finally the group arrived at the entrance to her mansion. The door opened and out stepped the black haired woman known as Edna Mode looking to be even shorter than she did onscreen. "Incredible! Darling it's good to see you. Come come. Bring your friends." The woman motioned for everyone to enter.

Once the group passed through the entrance hall they were greeted with a wide open space. Large windows gave everyone a view of the outside from atop the hill the mansion was situated. Behind them a white stone wall had been embossed with imagery of great ancient heroes.

Take wouldn't consider himself someone with a crazy imagination or anything but Torrin's comment seemed to imply it. The boy shrugged and watched as Torrin entered the tunnels by unlocking the door with his keyblade. It made the boy question a bit what point would opening a door just be considered rude? Could they just break into people's houses? That didn't seem nice.

When they were in the tunnels, Take was a bit worried he was gonna have to figure his way through the dark, hoping maybe his eyes would adjust to the dark, but Torrin ended up lighting up his keyblade and Take commented,
"Thanks." the boy stayed behind Torrin to not risk trip in the dark or something and the boy kept on the lookout. The tunnels were pretty dirty and grafitti'd and everything. The place was in disrepair. He was admittedly surprised how out of shape this seemed to be since the way Mr. Incredible described it sounded like it was a recent switch to new rails.

Seeing a line of rail, Take couldn't help but be that kid who walked on the rail, balancing himself as he followed them, if only to feel a bit taller. He thought about Torrin's question and felt breath escape him almost like a chuckle as he asked,
"I don't know, Torrin. Do you think the magical inhibitor had any say in where it would hide? Now if I were a sadistic clown, I'd hide it on the ceiling. Hard to reach if you're trying to take it down, and amusing to watch those taking it down struggle. Maybe make it so there are mines on the ground so if you fell you'd go kaboom."

Glyde looked to Mr. Incredible as they walked up to the house. The man seemed incredibly single-minded when it came to the idea of heroes and being a hero. All of the denials, and the insistence by everyone that they weren't in need of costumes or identities fell upon ears that had no desire to hear them. Glyde, looking himself over, made an agreeable expression, and nodded. The door opened as they arrived, revealing "The Edna Mode," who's stature was... disarming, considering the manner in which she carried herself. "I'll admit, I could go for some new clothes," Glyde said. "Although," he flapped his slightly burnt cloak a few times, "I've grown particularly attached to this one, metaphorically speaking, of course.

"Eh. I don't know. I don't think that look," he motioned towards Mr. Incredible, "would go too well on me. Maybe something a bit more similar to what I'm already wearing, I guess."

Boreas listened to Take's theory, the first part made a certain amount of sense but if the new railway system made these underground tunnels obselete then it was not that difficult to imagine it was abandoned, he didn't think the explosions themselves were that common an occurance, if they were, he imagined the city would look rather different, first of all fewer high buildings. It would indeed be rather obvious to hide it here and as Torrin mentioned with a piece like this there was hardly a move they could make that wouldn't lead to a trap, they obviously wanted to play which was also rather obvious from their challenge in wanting to see what happened when their keyblades ran out of juice. Boreas took up a position behind Torrin watching their surroundings as he opened the door.

    "
Torrin's right, they're testing us. Their challenge was rather obvious, so now we show them they bit off more than they can chew." Boreas said following Torrin. "Yeah they do, although it's significantly less crowded here, nice to have some breathing space you know." He looked around the tunnels under the light of Torrin's keyblade, they didn't seem to be in too terrific condition. "Well Take there you have your answer as to why they abandoned these tunnels." Boreas joked, before turning back to Torrin. "We don't know how extensive these tunnels are and while we could split up to cover ground more quickly it also leaves us vulnerable. We need to stick together, keep our eyes peeled." Boreas chuckled at Take's remark about the machine on the ceiling with mines around it. "We'll have to assess the situation when we find it, but for now what direction were those guys last seen in regards to where we are now? They may have set it up way in advance, but we gotta start somewhere and it's better than wandering at random. Either way that is my two cents on it and I don't certify as sadistic clown so I wouldn't be able to tell you how they think." Boreas said, he pictured the situation that Take had painted in his mind and simply smiled at the amusing picture.
