As he battered the legs of the beast he felt regenerative energies wash over him, but the foul beast would make sure that it was undone, as he couldn't get out of the way of the beast's claws, Illiana and Torrin managed fine though, he felt sluggish and slow, everything hurt, but he wouldn't back down, he refused to give up and surrender. He held his Pernach with both hands and slammed it into the legs even more. He didn't even know how he could keep going like this, how he had it in him to do this, but he just kept going, making it count as much as he could...

Kosmo was given scratches as Qamar walked around aimlessly for a moment. She stopped and nodded at Lumen. "I've been in almost every room in the castle. Some rooms are forebidden, though. Anyway, let's get going." She walked with Lumen, showing him the kitchen and library. She eventually took him to the bedrooms. "Just pick one that doesn't have a name written. Here's my room. It's nothing special..." she looked towards a room across from hers. "This one is empty now if you want it?" She nodded at the door. "U-Unless you already have a room....um...." she looked away. Heading towards the stairs, she turned.

"These stairs lead to the Master rooms. Come quickly!" She ran upstairs, stopping at Asters room. "Want me to stay? Only if you need me..."

Seeing that Kosmo was thoroughly enjoying herself was heartwarming, so he just let her be for the time being. The dragon was chirping and purring at an uncontainable level, when she stopped Kosmo was sad for a second before returning to Lumen as he gave a little fruity treat. “Sweet, that’s good to know. Onward!” The boy said with enthusiasm while following Qamar throughout the castle seeing more of the kitchen and library. Last was the bedrooms, which to his surprise, was happy to see. Now remembering he had all his stuff in his satchel, Lumen could finally find a place to rest. When it came to picking which one, Qamar introduced her room then indicated that there was one across from her and asked if he already had one. Stumbling on his words a bit, he quickly reassured her, “N-No. I don’t actually have a room yet... Since you offered I might as well take it while it’s still here.” He walked in and set his satchel and lute down by his bedside finally being able to not carry that stuff around.

Lumen quickly followed Qamar after that to Master Aster’s room, Kosmo kept up as she flew along the duo and landed on the boys head when they reached their destination. He moved her to his shoulder and gave her a pat on the head as he looked to the girl. “Sure, you can stay. I don’t mind for anyone to tag along.” Lumen spoke gleefully. Taking a deep breath, the boy then knocked on Master Aster’s door, hoping that she would answer.

Kaio watched as Aria walked away in frustration but said nothing more to the girl. He knew he had struck a nerve but that was part of the point. There would be more than harsh words to deal with in the battles to come. "Condescending? No, I believe my words to be accurate. You children have not proven your worth yet. Perhaps when you have my words will be more forgiving but until then you will have to put up with them. After all, if you cannot handle a harsh truth, then what good are you out on the field?" The man directed towards Chrono and as he finished speaking another simulation ended prematurely. Kaio looked over in the direction of the other room and raised an eyebrow.

"To your credit, at least you were not foolish enough to enter one of the more difficult simulations alone."

Aster leaned back in her seat and gazed at the computer's screen that sat before her, looking over new data that continued to stream in. "Well...that's certainly going to be of interest to Chrono and Tinarah... To think that such materials would even exist on their homeworld... Still...there might not be enough. And it could just be a sensor reading error. Hm...still, even one more place to check is better than our only option of Orph–" She was cut off from her train of thought as a knock came at her door. The woman sighed, not wishing to be disturbed while she still had so much data to go through. She pushed herself from her work space, her desk filled with cluttered piles of notes and books strewn across her bed as she went to answer her door.

"Lumen, is it?" Behind the boy who had knocked on her door stood Qamar. "Qamar? What are you two doing here? Kaio and Thyella are supervising your training."

When he saw Master Aster, the boy was smiling and bowed when she mentioned his name. “Yup! That’s me! And this here is Kosmo.” Lumen said to his dragon friend who gave a delightful chirp to the woman. He then looked at Qamar when the master mentioned her name then turned back to reply about their approach to her, “Well, we finished kinda early... in not a good way.” Shaking his head from Master Kaio’s commentary early and continued. “But that’s not the point. I heard you may need a student, since my master is not here anymore... I was wondering if... you could be my new master?” ‘More so hoping than wondering’ Lumen thought, and she seemed just as nice as Master Sanda. It would also seem she is very stressed, the boy could clearly tell from the look on her face. But he kept a spring of luck in his smile towards her as Kosmo looked at Qamar for a second and back.

Torrin had been biding his time as he recovered his strength and even as his body grew weary he still had a plan in mind, a risky one, to finish the fight soon. He warped once and struck Bright Eyes in the chest after Illiana delivered a powerful blow with her magic. He warped a second time, avoiding the claws of the Heartless, and once more before following through with a powerful downward cut. Torrin looked over seeing Boreas out cold on the floor and hoped this would pay off in the end.

Bright Eyes stumbled backwards, seemingly dazed from all the quick attacks Torrin and Illiana had dealt it after Boreas had been brought down. With one wild swing of its claws it managed to catch Illiana and knock the girl over but missed Torrin entirely.

Torrin's eyes flashed gold. Now was the time to end this fight and put his all into an attack. The ground shook as darkness exploded from his body and twelve black blades came into being from the dark tendrils that poured out of Torrin. He wasted no time in closing the distance between himself and Bright Eyes in the blink of an eye. His keyblade vanished as he took hold of two of the blades and stabbed them into the Heartless's sides. He followed up by continuing to grab the dark swords that surrounded him and deftly cutting away at the enemy until each of the twelve blades had been broken before summoning his own keyblade and stabbing it directly into the center of Bright Eyes. The Heartless exploded with a black energy released from the attacks and when the energy disappeared their enemy was nowhere to be seen.

Torrin breathed heavily as his form ended and fell to one knee, dropping his keyblade. The simulation displayed a large "YOU WON" in bold white lettering in front of the trio before their surroundings returned to normal. Torrin's eyes returned to their usual blue hue and he let out an exhausted chuckle before collapsing onto his back and sighing in relief. "That was definitely a work out...Hey Illiana you did great back there. Really. Sorry it took so long for me to get in the mood to do that."

"Yo Boreas..." Torrin called out in between heavy breaths. "You can wake up now. It's all over."

Torrin entered Phantom Blade and Attacked with everything!

The boy just kind of silently stared at Thyella after her comments and tilted his head and said, "I thought you said this was part of training. And as far as I was aware you were one of the two overseeing it." he shrugged and said, "I'll go ask Selene then, since you're apparently... what's the word... underqualified?" he backed away and waved and said, "Have fun with all the stubborn ones~" Take managed in a sing-song voice before heading out. He was doing so just as he saw Aria running past and he stopped to let her go through whatever she was doing and he went to go and look for Selene.

The door opened and Qamar was able to see a clearly stressed out Aster. That did not deter Lumen as he tried to ask her if she would be his new Master. Qamar looked away and crossed her arms. Aster asked about their training and Qamar gave a shrug. "They're both busy criticizing the others. We will return after this conversation, Master Aster." She gave the woman a bow and looked at her.

"Lumen, perhaps this was a bad idea. She's busy and we just interrupted her..." she muttered to the boy.

Chrys was understandably and undeniably more than a little upset as she woke up on the floor of an empty white room. She pounded her fist against the pristine floor with a low growl. How could she have been so idiotic? For all her desperate struggling, it was hardly as if her situation had been hopeless. Had she been thinking, it would have been mere child's play. There was still plenty of power left for her to have drawn on. As she felt a steady connection to a cold and unwelcoming light, she readily admitted that it probably wouldn't have been that power. Why the link hadn't already been severed, rather by her own state of mind or one of the masters in the castle, she didn't really know. She was at the point she would rather die than call upon that power though.

Still, she had other options. Either of her drive forms would have been ideal, especially with the extra healing and protection they provided as per her specialty. Even just using her Guard Crush earlier than when the opponent was just at it's weakest would have been a wiser tactic. Instead she had wasted her opportunity or a reckless gamble. It used to be that she would save her abilities for what she believed was the opportune moment; being full aware of them, but waiting far too long to use them in hopes that they could serve as some sort of trump card. Now that exact opportunity had just been given to her and... she had completely forgotten it was something she could even do.

How exactly does one forget they can tun into a glowing blue flower woman?

Needless to say, her transition to a more aggressive fighting style was not going as smoothly as she had envisioned. Still, this fight had merely been a loss, not a defeat. As infuriating as it was, she could still learn from this. True, it might not work that way in the field; but what else was training for? Her air now more of one who was contemplative than angry, Chrys exited the room while muttering about the strategic use of flower petals. She was already planning for her next training session.

This was going to be close and Tinarah was getting nervous, she didn't know if she could do this anymore. Her magic was running dry and the tower wasn't shrinking enough to actually make her feel like there was a distance. Getting desperate, Tinarah shot another blast of ice towards the tower, following it up with a blast of fire hoping the contrast would add a bit of damage and hopefully making a difference. She didn't know if it would, but she burst forward slashing at it out of desperation. She knew that she was getting sloppy but she had to try.

Enzo immediately followed Takehiko without much warning or permission. "Wait up Mr. Manly Takehiko man!" he yelled as he attempted to catch up to the boy. He knew he was nailing the male terminology with Take after having mistook him as a girl. "I couldn't help but try to overhear about your quest for knowledge and felt I would accompany you. Now, I know what you're gonna say, and you don't have to thank me in the slightest. I owe this group a lot for letting me crash here. The food is delicious, and the people are entertaining. We're gonna have a lotta good times here young buddy, young pal."

Tinarah's eyes widened. She was beaten and bloody and she was desperate. There was no one to save her here. She couldn't call on another power, and this battle had been going on for too long. Perhaps if she had waited on her drive form. Perhaps if she didn't squander her magic. She had once thought herself with plenty to spare, but now she feared what she had was not enough. There was nothing left for her to grasp for, she just had to hold out as long as she could and hope for the best in what was to come. She had come so close though. Raising up her keyblade, in one last act of defiance, she put everything she had left into her own magic to pour into taking away some of the pain that was wracking her body. A little longer, that is all she needed.

Thyella folded her arms and narrowed her eyes at the boy as he left. "And Stamatis thought any of these brats could be master material? Hmph. Not likely." Thyella muttered under her breath as she shook her head. Her attention shifted towards the blonde who exited a training room after failing her battle. "Three of you kids thought it was a good idea to fight alone. Are you just uncomfortable with fighting alongside people just because they might hate you? Or did you have some sense of pride you wanted to satisfy?" She directed towards Chrys. "Either way, that kind of attitude won't keep you alive. You should know better than most what we're up against. Suck it up and learn to work with the others or you'll be left behind."

"A new student?" Aster's gaze shifted from Lumen towards Qamar as the woman narrowed her eyes at the girl. "I'm sorry you've been misled, Lumen. I already had a student. His name was Adalric and I am not looking for a replacement." The woman's hand rested on the door. "I really need to get back to work. Those armor materials won't find themselves." She let out a sigh and shook her head, trying to regain her composure. "Look Qamar, I see what you're trying to do but right now is not a good time. I am sorry with the fate that had befallen your own master, Lumen, but I cannot replace Master Sanda." Without any other words towards the two she slowly shut her door to them.

Hearing Qamar’s words were kinda shocking to his ears, hopefully they wouldn’t go back to the masters lectures then he heard the girl saying they should leave, but it was given to them already. When Master Aster brought her eyes onto Qamar, this didn’t seem good. He was aware of her previous student had passed away, but didn’t want to replace him. Lumen would never do something that selfish or low. Hearing that she needed to get back to work the boy nodded slowly while keeping a smile on his face. But when it came to Master Aster speaking of what Qamar was up to, somehow she knew? Then came a leaving message for the boy that she couldn’t replace his master and went back into her room without another word. Leaving a sigh of disappointment Lumen spoke to Qamar, “I guess we should get going then... Come on Kosmo.” Saying while he headed down the stairs, but she was flying for a second looking at the masters door then she glided down to the boy.

When they reached the bottom Lumen waited for the girl to follow and leaned on a pillar thinking for a bit. “Sooo... we’re not going back to the basement, are we? I don’t think I can stand another lecture for Masters Thyella and Kaio let alone handle it. Anywhere else we could go?” He said hopefully to Qamar. For a bit the boy looked at where Master Aster’s room was and kept thinking. ‘I promise, I’m not gonna give up on you master. I swear it.’ Originally thinking to himself then he pulled out his lute and started to play a little as Kosmo was resting on Lumen’s head.

There was very little hope left. She was run so dry that she couldn't even think of a way to get out of this, but Tinarah was not going to stop yet. She wasn't going to be weak and give up. She could at least fight until the very end. There was strength in knowing when to run, but in a simulation, she wasn't going to die anyways, so she wasn't going to run from it. Tinarah did all that she could to force herself forward, channeling what energy she had left into moving a bit more quickly before striking the tower again. It was futile, she knew that, but she prayed for a miracle anyways. Maybe she if she could be just a bit stronger....
