In an instant their surroundings changed again to that of a small space-faring rowboat with a single solar sail.     Thyella gripped the boy by his shoulder preventing him from walking away. "Training the mind is just as important as it is to train the body." The woman said. "You're lucky that kind of mistake only caused you a few bruises and some frustration. There are thousands of scenarios where that kind of mistake could cost you or someone else their life. So you're not going to sulk. You're going to bury your head in some books and we'll call Atmos in if we have to. You're learning to read whether you like it or not, small bean."




    The Demon Tower was destroyed with the last of their attacks but the instant it faded away an even larger swarm of Shadows rushed Lumen and Qamr, striking both of them was greater force than the Demon Tower.​

    Every part of Tinarah hurt as she struggled to fend off the heartless that were swarming her. She had let herself become too injured during the previous battle, that sustain against something even harder became difficult. Tinarah didn't know when, but at some point she lost sight of why she started this battle, what she was trying to prove, and slipped into just surviving. She started to wish she had her friends at her side, something she hadn't thought about in years. She became so used to being alone or with her master, she forgotten what it was like to have someone watching your back. Now that she had experienced that and lost it, Tinarah found herself missing it, a thought that scared her. She would be leaving them again, if things went her way, and she would be alone, a child among masters once more, with people above her, but no one at her side. Tinarah swallowed the thought though, putting her focus back to the battle. If she was going to fight alone then she had to know she could do this.

    Restorative energy surrounded Tinarah once more before she pointed her keyblade towards the Demon Tower.     "This isn't over yet." She said through grit teeth as ice blasted forth, hitting the tower, distracting it long enough for Tinarah to launch forward and attack it herself, letting the light that had surrounded her keyblade nip and chase off the darkness, even if just slightly. If things kept going like this she was going to run out of magic again, but maybe if she could seal up some of her wounds, she could focus on just attacking, and then perhaps she would stand a chance.

    "Great job, we beat it! Now we gotta de-" her words were cut short by a wave of darkness that attacked her and Lumen. Qamar saw black for a few moments but woke back up. A wave of darkness came over her and she reappeared in a new outfit. Standing up and breathing deeply, she glanced up Lumen. "If I go down again, end the simulation. For now, I need a little healing please." She said, watching the new tower closely and readying herself to dodge.

    Qamar went into Domination form and prepared to dodge.    ​

    Take listened to her response a little aggravated at the assumptions she seemed to be making. He knew not being able to read was a problem. And he wasn't about to sulk or anything like that, if anything he was actually going to go and do something productive. With reading even possibly being on that list. He pushed her hand off his shoulder but he didn't walk away, he just turned around and said, "I have been trying to learn. But this just is something I don't even really have the fundamentals to understand. This is something you're supposed to be taught when you're little. I'm not saying I don't want to learn... but it's one of the hardest things for me." he didn't like admitting that, and he also didn't like the fact he wasn't able to hold back how irritated he sounded. He rubbed his head and mumbled, "And half the time I feel sick trying to learn how to read. Like, dizzy. Everyone else here already knows how to anyway, is it not just easier for me to let everyone else handle that?"

    Smiling with delight at the sight of seeing Qamar happy, it made him smile. But then something felt wrong when he got whacked from his sitting position to see a enormous wave of Heartless appear. “Oh come on... can’t we play fair?” Lumen said in a disappointed tone as he got up while brushing off some bruises. Then he heard the girl speak to him about healing and spoke out with conformity, “You got it, I’ll do my best to help out.” Holding his weapon towards her, the boy casted a green flash of light for a brief moment then preformed a protection stance in case of a deadly attack.

    Illiana told him to stop apologizing but it couldn't be helped he was taking a risk with their lives and he felt his legs being shaky as the tree disintegrated, he used the glaive to keep himself upright. The environment changed again as the rage coursed through him, with the change of the environments he felt some of his strength return to him. The environments were alien to him and he was confused as to where he was. It reminded him of being on the ship on the sea but it was different, there were stars all around. A swirling mass of heartless moved towards them, Boreas changed his keyblade to the repeating crossbow and as he sped forwards he fired the crossbow, unleashing bolts at high speed towards the mass, the bolts finding their targets before Boreas changed the drained magazine before slamming a new one home and fired more magical bolts at the mass. He would have preferred to close the distance and engage in melee but he knew with a vessel like this in these environs was madness and while feeling better than when engaging this tree he knew he was getting to his limit.

    As Tinarah's attacks hit the Demon Tower, Shadows were blasted off from its column and scrambled to rejoin their brethren. Seemingly angered, the Demon Tide rushed Tinarah.​

    "Ah. So is that going to be your excuse when you can't handle something? Let someone else deal with it?" The woman folded her arms. "You're never too old to learn something new. So regardless of how frustrated you get, you're not leaving the castle until you're able to read. If it means many sleepless nights and constant headaches for you, then that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make."




    Shadows were torn from the Demon Tide from Qamar's mighty blow, being destroyed instantly as they crashed into the ground. However, when the Demon Tide retaliated all Lumen and Qamar saw was black as they were overwhelmed by its power. When they regained consciousness a few moments later they were already outside the training room while Master Kaio was standing over them with a disapproving look on his face. "I would say I was disappointed but that would imply I had expectations to begin with." The man sighed. "Still, I suppose you two were not complete disgraces to the key from what I saw. Qamar, a word of advice, hitting hard is hardly useful if you don't have the means to withstand, avoid, or recover from heavy damage. Your new friend here seemed to be doing all he could to keep you standing and was left with little to do for helping himself."​

    The heartless surged into the boat and he almost felt that the boat would be torn apart and they were doomed as without the boat they'd make for even easier targets, between Torrin and himself they thinned out the herd but there were still a great many of them, the flames had taken their toll on his comrades and he himself wasn't doing very well either, he wasn't sure if they would make this, he had seen Torrin's raw power but would it be enough to save them? Boreas was beaten but not yet broken, he would not allow himself to be, he had to keep on fighting until he could no longer hold himself together. Boreas shifted his keyblade to the glaive-guisarme again and took a defensive stance, he would take as many with him as he possibly could and figured the best way would be in a counter attack and he readied himself for the opening to present itself for one final charge.

    Rapidly calculating her options, Tinarah tried to figure out if she could manage without healing this turn. Her healing was meant for more than herself, and she found she was unable to control how much energy she exerted in the process of healing. It was something she had to work on she supposed, so there wouldn't be so much lost magic, but for now, she just had to save her magic where she could. In this form the ice was on her side, and Tinarah knew that if she could survive another hit, it might be better for her to just go with force, get the battle over more quickly if she could instead of holding it out by healing herself until either it fell, or she ran out of magic. The moment that point hit, she knew that she would be out of luck. She would have to put everything she could into this now.

    The ice that coated her keyblade became more thick as it all moved and channeled towards the tip of her keyblade, before breaking off into two blasts. Those blasts then shot off striking the Demon Tower twice. In the wake of the ice, light shined around her keyblade reading itself for Tinarah's attack, where it exploded upon impact, leaving a decent amount of damage, but also channeling part of that light back to her, covering up some minor scrapes and bruises.

    When he saw first glance at Qamar getting knocked out by the Demon Tide, Lumen was just about to yell outward. “End the simulation-!” But before he could finish the boy was blindsided by the Heartless and skidded across the floor as he was knocked out.

    Coming to while shaking his head he saw his dragon friend Kosmo looking at him in relief as she nudged against his head.     “Hey... it’s ok, I’m fine. But man did that hurt...” Lumen said to himself and Kosmo while shaking off, and sitting up in the crossed position. He then heard a voice which had him spooked, when looking up he saw Master Kaio talking and gulped for a second. Kosmo then jumped from Lumen over to Qamar to comfort her a little, hoping that she was okay. The boy then decided to give his input on the Master’s little advice, “It’s perfectly fine Master Kaio. I was still able to hold my own for a while, but I also like to think of others first. Besides, this is just training so it isn’t all that bad, and we got pretty far as well.” Trying to finish off on a good note while rubbing some of his scratches when he flew across the floor.    ​

    Illiana was starting to feel a bit dizzy once again. She staggered back a bit and held her head. The next thing she knew she was on a boat. Her eyes widen as the Demon Tower went rushing past the trio. "Oh you have GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!! NOT THIS STUPID BOAT AGAIN!!" As Illiana shouted, the Demon Tower unleashed some of the shadows it held as it clawed their way to the girl, swiping at her and knocking her back. Illiana felt her consciousness slipping back and forth as she stood back up. She felt her head grow warmer and warmer with each blow. She reached her cheek and found some blood on her fingertips. She clenched her fists as she was absolutely done. "........Get....Out...Of..My way....." She walked up to the edge before shouting. "OUT OF MY WAY NOW!!!" With that, Illiana jumped up, hit the Demon Tower and aimed for the heart of the Demon Tower.
