Feeling better after having eaten some more leftovers Torrin blinked and tilted his head as he saw Tinarah come into the kitchen to start cleaning dishes. It didn't seem like she had noticed him yet...or if she had she was just ignoring him. For good reason probably. They were in a better standing with each other than before but he was far from being her favorite person to be around. Torrin pulled out the communicator and turned it over in his hand before returning it to his pocket.

He then retrieved a crumpled piece of paper from the pocket he placed the communicator in and pulled out the second scrap from his other pocket. Torrin took a brief moment to try smoothing out the creases in the paper to no avail and shook his head in disapproval. "Ah well. She's not into this for aesthetic purposes." Placing both scraps in one hand he headed over towards Tinarah and gave the girl a light tap on the shoulder to get her attention.

"I don't know how they got there but I found these scraps in this coat's pockets. I see you're busy with dishes...so I'll just leave these out of harm's way where they won't get wet. Right over here." He said as he placed the scraps a few feet away on the counter. "Just thought you might want to give them a read since you're scrap booking with them. Is that a pun? I don't know. Uh. Anyway. I'd help but the last time I tried to clean dishes was nearly six years ago and...bad things happened. Very bad things." Though to be honest, that had been on purpose just to get him out of doing his most hated chore. Who knew water magic and soap could be so disastrous? Torrin did. The bubblepocalypse would never be forgotten.

Torrin gave Tinarah a wave as he left the kitchen and did the same to Chrono as he passed by him.

Fost raised an eyebrow when Chryssa's wishes were mentioned. He scratched his chin, thinking about the girl's situation for a moment as he remained silent. After a long moment of quiet Fost leaned forward and clasped his hands together. "I'll have to speak to the Old Man about it. But maybe...just maybe you might be able to fit in here. With my experience I've gotten pretty good at seeing right through people. And you, kid? You don't seem all too bad. Naive sure, but you ain't got a bad heart. Still. Perhaps running away from all of this is your best option for self-preservation. After all, I can't imagine there are many here who'd like you. From what I'm told, I expect that the Torrin kid will be the one you'll see the most resistance from. Though I doubt the kid's capable of outright attacking you while you're unarmed...well..." Fost gave Chrysanthemum a grim smile. "Between you and me, I suspect the Old Man would side with Broody. I don't find the irony of it amusing but it is what it is, kid. So what'll it be? You've still got a choice in this. Bad choices but choices nonetheless."

"...And I believe that about wraps things up. Feel free to ask me about any other questions you have in mind." Stamatis spoke to the boy sitting across him after having finished explaining the current events. To a newcomer the information must have been a great deal to process but in the end it was necessary. The two had been sitting in a large open room, morning's light pouring in from the window. In the distance a white dragon could just faintly be seen soaring in the sky. "I am...saddened by your loss. We knew your master very well, Kalik. Master Varka used to be one of us before he stepped down several years ago. He would not have mentioned the Council to you but that is simply because only keyblade masters need know about the existence of the Council and this world."

"I know this whole situation must be a shock for you but know that you are safe here on Illusia. The fact that your master managed to send us a signal at all through that darkness is a miracle." Stamatis spoke quietly as he watched the boy. "Your wounds have been healed but I urge you not to strain yourself."

Take was concerned when she started attacking him with darkness, but was actually more surprised that it wasn't... hurting him. Well, it hurt him, but more because of her own force behind her punches and pulling the chains. When he watched her react the way she did to using the darkness and being afraid of hurting him, he opened his mouth to reply and assure her it wasn't even all that bad, but then he was tripped and fell straight onto his back and gasped out in surprise as he made impact. He thought that was very uncalled for, and his reaction was just to go and trip Qamar back.

Take managed to trip Qamar enough to make her fall forward and onto him. She made an 'oof' and got up quickly, concerned she had just squished the poor kid to death. Though she did call her keyblade back and held it high. The darkness began to swirl around her again and she looked like she wanted to hurt Take. Her blade came down fast and stabbed the ground next to Take's head and she could only laugh based on the look on his face. "That's a good look." she said, standing back up. She offered a hand to Take and helped him get up. "Alright, no more dirty tricks. Let's get back to the real deal." she said, hopping back and recalling her keyblade.

Qamar grabbed the hilt with both her hands and split the blade in half. Walking towards Take, she let the blades drag along the ground, sparking behind her. She picked up the pace and ended up launching a flurry of attacks on Take, slamming her keyblade halves into his over and over. She was trying to wear him down and knock his blade out of his hands.

Take stared straight at her with a look of much concern when the keyblade stabbed just by his head. He stood up and wasn't entirely sure when and why Qamar was starting to go all out in her attacks. He kept his keyblade up and was blocking most of her attacks but after a while his arms hurt and just as he was about to readjust she knocked the key out of his hands and as it flew up into the air he was knocked back by her other keyblade half. His reaction time to another attack afterwards made it so he managed to back away from another swipe but he hadn't noticed his keyblade had started coming back down and hit him straight on the head. The boy instantly grabbed his head pained and took one more of Qamar's attacks. His key hit the ground and disappeared and the boy stopped everything and took a knee,"Okay OKAY STOP!" he wasn't even looking at her he just kept holding his head and kept his face down towards the ground. After a minute he growled out, "GET AWAY FROM ME!"

"****." Qamar uttered, watching the keyblade fall and hit Take's head. Her keyblade disappeared and she ran to him, readying her Cura. She stopped when she told her to stop. She reached for him and heard him growl out at her. A look of extreme concern was on Qamar's face and she instantly regretted this entire experience. "Take, please, I'm sorry. I didn't know it'd hit you on your head. Let me at least try to use some Cura on you." she asked him, putting her hand on his head. She knew he'd jerk away instantly, but she at least tried to pump out some healing magic before she backed away and fell onto her rump. She stared at Take and didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry, Take, I'm so sorry. I didn't want to hurt you." she said, looking quite upset. "L...Let's just stop for now and get your head looked at?"

"Son...wake up...you have to wake up." An echoing voice in darkness called out to him."Son..wake up."

"Father..where are you?" He couldn't open his eyes. He couldn't move. Even opening his mouth was a chore and a half.

    "Wake up!"

His body snapped up. His eyes opened and his hand snapped to his chest. His clenched fist flattened as he felt around his person. No wound..he could have sworn he was dead. A voice snapped his attention. The explanation drew his attention. It took a while but he seemed to be caught up. He had several questions."So my world...my master..he's gone.." He said and sat up some more. A catch in his side drew his hand. Not fully healed yet..dangit."...Where do I go from here?"He asked and looked at the male."Your people brought me here. I am in your debt. What do we do from here?"He asked and brought his hand up to his forehead."What can we do? What should we do?" He asked and withdrew his hand, his eyes on his it."...If a master couldn't drive back this darkness..how can we?"

Tinarah found herself slightly startled by the tap on her shoulder, she was even more surprised when it was Torrin standing there with two scraps of paper in his hand. "Oh... Thank you." Torrin seemed almost as awkward as she was. He placed the scraos of paper away from the water, but Tinarah found herself following, drying her hands as she walked over to look at them. "I will have to put them with the rest later. I... Just thought it would be good for us to get into the mind of our enemy is all." A poor lie to cover up her obsessing. She hadn't even known they were about the Light Chaser until last night. She couldn't even explain her obsessing anymore, not as each one she read made her circumstance hurt more.

"Don't worry about the dishes, chores... The structure, it helps."
Or at least it was better than just sitting still and letting her mind wonder where she didn't want it to go. Kept her from locking herself in her room like she was prone to doing.

Boreas smiled at the remark Torrin made regarding patience. "Had it not come back, I'd make do with a normal one." Boreas said with a small smile. He had trained with normal weapons too and utilised them for the past five years, while not nearly as effective against the heartless but in an emergency it would work and if they had to fight the chasers it made no difference at all. Boreas watched Torrin go before he went his own way wandering through the hallways he saw Chrono and greeted him with a good morning once more before continuing on his way to the training area, figuring he could get some training in. He found Qamar and Take sparring there and didn't make his presence known just watched them train together, it didn't take long for them to stop though due to a rather unfortunate accident. Take's blade hit his head and Take tried to yield but not before being hit again. Qamar rushed over trying to offer to heal him, but Take was understandably angry. He was tough and judging from the blows he had taken during the fight with the Horned King he'd be alright, just needed to sit down for a moment. "Qamar. Just leave him be, if he needs to be healed he'll ask for it, he's a tough lad." Boreas said walking over.

It was good to know that the Stamatis of this realm was willing to help her as well. "Alright, I'll see you around then." He gave her some space before waving as she walked back to the kitchen. In an ideal world, Chrono wouldn't be the one having these talks with his sister. That role would likely fall upon their mother or father and he would just throw in his two cents afterward. In that same ideal world, chances were that he wouldn't be standing here right now, he would likely still be at home and most importantly, their mother would still be alive. Reflecting on this wouldn't change anything so he let that train of thought come to a close before making his way down the hall.

Along the way, he walked past Torrin and returned the waved the former had motioned to him. Further on down the hall and he spotted both Aria and Illiana coming down the stairs. "Morning you two."

Illiana walked off as Aria followed while she spoke. "N-No, I meant that it sounded like you've still been practicing over the years and hadn't forgotten how to play." Illiana looked up for a moment before answering her. "I've been playing since I was 3. It's not like it's going to go away anytime soon." As the two were walking, Aria had commented on an earlier statement Illiana had said before. "I think it's very important. I don't even know my own family. I mean, I know my aunt and uncle, but they're not really my aunt and uncle... I still love them like family. I know I have parents, but I never met them." Illiana looked over at the girl as she was staring at a ring on her finger. Silence passed between the two as Illiana was trying to figure out what to say. "I'm not saying family isn't important. I'm just saying knowing anything of my background isn't important nor should it be anyone's concern." She scratched her head as they made their way down the stairs. As they reached the bottom of the stairs, the two ran into Chrono. "Morning you two." Pushing a finger off her head as if to say 'Hi', Illiana greeted the boy. "Sup Chrobo?"

"Ah...yes...I see that in catching you up I had forgotten to introduce myself. I am Master Stamatis." He paused for a moment before answering the boy's questions. "For now the darkness consuming the worlds is beyond our control but we have reason to believe the man calling himself the Light Chaser might be responsible for the instability between this realm's balance. But even we at the Council are not certain of that...For now, the only thing we can do is protect the Seven pure hearts of light, or at least the three we have at the castle. Regain your strength, train when you can, and in time you will be ready to help face against the threats to the Realm of Light."

"One master may not have been able to do anything to fight the darkness but there are many of us here. There are several students here near your age even." Stamatis mentioned in an attempt to cheer Kalik up. "I am sorry that this has happened to you but you are not in my debt. I merely wish I could have saved more."

Aria forgot that Illiana didn't like to converse as much as she did. The girl fell silent, feeling like she couldn't speak freely anymore. Speaking of family seemed to have struck a raw chord with Illiana and whilst Aria had her own opinion of practicing piano and then not playing it for a while, she kept that to herself as well. She didn't even know why Illiana wanted her to humor her right now if she seemed to not like talking to her much.

It was then Chrono appeared and greeted them. She smiled a bit and waved.
"Good morning. How are you Chrono?"

Other students? He mulled on this as the man introduced himself and explained the situation. It was more grim than he realized. Other worlds had met the same fate..fallen to the same darkness. It was a frightening thing to think on and he already felt overwhelmed."Kâlîk'. It's an honor to meet another Master." His gaze turned to Stamatis. His mind was pulled in different directions at once..but..His legs swung over. His feet touched the cool smooth surface of the floor below."I've the strength to stand at least. I will be okay."

After having left the kitchen he found himself comfortable in a quiet hallway where he could make a few notes for himself in private. Unfortunately, it didn't take long before he was interrupted. Torrin's eyes rose from the sheet of paper he was scribbling on and blinked at the man standing before him. "Gero? What do you want?"

"I understand you will be giving Kidemonas's experiment a trial run soon." The elder man spoke simply.

"From what I can gather, it doesn't seem as risky as he made it out to seem. I don't think his precautions are necessary. Sending me in just because I can take it if something goes wrong and I'm more expendable than someone on the Council? That's got a kind of cold logic to it that I can almost appreciate."

"Is that what he would have you believe? Hm. Well allow me to be clear, Master Solus, you were initially allowed to join our cause because you were expendable. If you died it might have given your uncle a reason to divert his attention from his own war to aid us."

Torrin's eyes narrowed at Gero. "Yeah. I figured as much."

"But that is no longer the case. You've proven yourself to be a useful asset."

"No need to pretend to be so transparent with me. You know, from everything I've seen, I think I'm finally starting to see the full picture here."

Ignoring what Torrin had said Gero continued, "If you had known we were using you, why would you side with us? Why play this game?" Gero's tone did not sound curious but rather appeared to be like a scientist attempting to analyze a specimen.

"I'll play whatever you part you need from me so long as it leads to bringing down the Light Chaser." Torrin spoke bluntly.

"Careful, boy. Hatred was what consumed the man you know as the Light Chaser. Keep your darkness in check lest I do it for you." Gero warned. Torrin turned to leave but old man stepped forward to cut Torrin off. "One more thing. Limit your interactions with her. A shadow like yours suffocates the light."

"I wonder what Aria would think when she finds out your cuddly grandfather act was just a lie. Don't worry. I won't tell her. At first I blamed your time in that other realm for how I felt about you but now..." Torrin shook his head and moved around Gero. "Doesn't really matter though. Once this is over
    I'll tear through your Council."

After leaving Gero behind and feeling an uncomfortable churning in his stomach Torrin pressed his hand over his chest where his heart was and took a deep breath. He felt unbalanced and unsure where that sudden burst of malice came from. He was angry but even then Torrin wasn't sure why it bothered him so greatly. "Must've...been something I ate...haha...yeah..." He muttered through gritted teeth as he tried to laugh it off. He took another deep breath and steadied his shaking hand.

He did his best to shrug it off and kept walking while his steps echoed through the halls. Torrin heard voices up ahead and slowed his pace as he watched Illiana and Aria reach the bottom of the main stairway to greet Chrono. Torrin looked behind him, certain that he had been walking away from the entrance hall this whole time, then turned back to look at the trio in confusion. Unsure of how he managed to get turned around he figured it would have been pathetic to turn around now and too awkward if he ran into Gero again after that terrible interaction. He even briefly considered apologizing to the man for his threat. "Uh..." He cleared his throat. "Hey Ar-um...hey guys."

Stamatis nodded. "Very well. Hm...I suppose I should not keep you cooped up here much longer then. I am sure you are willing to stretch your legs and examine your surroundings. Perhaps you will be able to introduce to the others as well. The other students are an..." The master thought about his words for a moment. "An eccentric but friendly bunch. You are free to roam about. Please, make yourself at home."

Aria perked up when she heard another familiar voice join them. "Hi Torrin," Aria greeted with a smile and a little wave. "Illiana asked me to humor her," Though it seems to be backfiring, she thought to herself, "And Chrono just joined us." The girl was relieved she wasn't alone with Illiana much longer. After the morning she had, she couldn't handle being shut down or have too much negativity. And Maka really doesn't know what else to say or post, sooooo we'll end it here.

Chrys did not share the man's faith in Torrin. He hadn't really waited for an armed opponent back when they first met, after all. Still, loathe as she was to trust the boy, it was either at least attempt to work with him, or... Nothing. These people weren't going to give her back her keyblade and let her go unsupervised. Not getting involved further was always an option, but... "Self preservation was never my reason for becoming involved in this." It was unfortunate, but the only way forward for Chrys now was try and side with the Light Chaser's enemies. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that they were convinced that she was their enemy as well. She resisted the urge to sigh. All of the times she tried to avoid a fight meant nothing in the end: The only person who had listened was now one of the Light Chaser's prisoners. Her resolved was steeled by this. Talking had gotten her nowhere: She had been refused the peace she sought. Now her only option was to make others regret wishing for war.

She would fight. No matter who stood against her. Light or Dark. If they walked the path of evil, she would bring them to their knees or die trying. It was all she had left.

    "I choose to stay."

"Chrno, that aside I've been good." Before he had a chance to ask what they were up to, Torrin had walked up to him and once again Chrono waved at him. "Humor her with what exactly?" Like Aria had said, he'd just gotten here himself and had no clue what was going on right now. Not to mention Illiana was more the enigmatic one out of Atmos's students so her wanting someone to humor her was curious in itself.

The man understood his need to stretch his legs. Kal wasn't the type to just sit around and dawdle. He had things to do, his mission was clear to him. He took a last look at his right hand. A small spark of light energy radiated from it. If there were others like him here..that is a very good thing. He stood, regarding the man with a bow."Thank you, Master." He said as he turned. He headed off to his first destination...The direction of voices. If there were others here like him..He needed to meet them.

Torrin watched the expression on Aria's face and paused to look her over for a moment. 'Did her hair get shorter?' Deciding against making a comment about it while others were around he looked at Illiana and then Chrono. "Ah...so you're giving people the tour of what you did." He spoke towards Illiana. Knowing Illiana probably wanted to keep the graves as some kind of macabre surprise, he decided not to reveal it.

"Um..." He scratched the back of his head and tried to piece together what to say. He knew with what happened to Aria, her mood had been low, and though she seemed to be physically fine the her radiant aura had dulled. Though no expert on reading auras, despite being trained to see them, this was at least an obvious tell that someone's mood or mental state was low. Perhaps that had been a similar reason as to why Take had been so difficult to read until he discovered the boy was a Prince of Heart. In any case he doubted looking at a graveyard, as beautifully constructed as it was, would be anything but depressing.

"As fun as a group field trip might seem, I'm going to be borrowing Aria. Gero wanted me to come find her." He lied. Torrin wasn't concerned about how Chrono would handle seeing a few graves considering that he appeared to be resilient enough to act as a rock for his sister but Aria? While he was concerned about dragging the girl's mood down further there was still the fact that no one in the team even knew what had happened to Mika. It may have been selfish but if Aria was going to see the grave of her friend he wanted to be the one to say something about the fate that had befallen Mika and his part in it.

Torrin raised an eyebrow on hearing footsteps coming from the second floor and looked up the staircase to see...someone new. "Hm? Where'd...youknowwhatnevermind." Torrin looked at Kalik, confused as to how the newcomer even got here. Rather than ask questions or even introduce him he turned away and headed down the opposite hallway from which he had entered the entrance hall. After Torrin's last interaction with Gero, he couldn't trust himself to continue interacting with people he didn't know very well.

Fost reached into his pocket and held up his own communicator once Chrys gave her answer. "Alright, kid. Let's hear what the Old Man has to say." Rather than go out of his way to speak to Gero face to face, Fost had opted for a more efficient method of communication. "Gero, you there?"

    "Do you have an update?"

"So we may have found ourselves a new asset. The girl seems genuine. A real turncoat."

"Be that as it may, the standard precautions are still to be in place."

"Is that a yes then? That was honestly a lot faster than I thought it'd be. I thought I'd have to make a case for this girl here."

"I trust your judgment. If you say she can help us keep the balance then I will believe it as well."

The line went dead and Fost blinked at the communicator, curiously staring at it after having sensed something odd about Gero's tone. Something had rattled him and Fost wasn't sure what it was but either way, there was a new problem at hand. "Well then." The man scratched his beard and stood up. "There's gonna be some ground rules for you for some time. Think of this as a trial run to make sure you...mesh well with the team, alright? If things go well, you'll be getting all the privileges all the others have. First off, you're not to be alone with any of the Seven at any point. Given that there's three of them here in the castle but still plenty of other people around, that shouldn't be too hard for you, kid. Rule two, you'll be expected to follow orders out on the field. Rule three, be good. Got it? Good. Now...all we have to do is work on introducing you as part of the good guys. Guess that should be easy enough."

Fost began to head towards the door and opened it. "Oh right, I forgot. Might be a little premature to do this but as a sign of good faith..." Fost rose his right hand and snapped his fingers. "You should have your powers back. Don't make me regret this." He stepped out into the hall and motioned for Chrys to come with him. "Now come on. Let's go find some of the others and show them your change of heart."

"Huh?" Aria raised an eyebrow when Torrin seemed to know where exactly Illiana was taking her. She blinked in surprise when he said Gero wanted to speak with her, and was torn for a moment to keep entertaining Illiana, or go with Torrin to see the man she knew fondly as a grandfather figure. She looked to where Torrin looked and saw a newcomer and waved. "Hello new person!" she called out. But then Torrin started to walk away, and Aria lowered her hand. "Er, have a good day! I'll meet you later!" She then looked to Illiana and smiled a bit. "I guess you can show me later. I'll see you around," she said to Chrono and the young lady.

She then trotted after Torrin, slowing down to his pace as she walked along side of him.
"Getting tired of talking to others?" she asked with a hint of amusement since she noticed how fast he bailed when the other new person showed up. Torrin seemed to have been very busy this morning. "Does Gr-Master Gero really want to see me, or are you just using that to get me to follow you?" she asked with a slight all-knowing smile.
