    Torrin smiled at Aria. "I'm glad to see you're still in one piece. I was getting worried too." Even though the Horned King's undead minions continued to surround them a weight had been lifted off his chest now that he was here. The lingering pain still keeping him from fighting at full strength soon subsided when Tinarah caught up to them and cast a Cure spell. She sounded more annoyed than anything. Torrin raised an eyebrow and shook his head at her request. "Unfortunately that's not my decision." He spoke. As long as he had something to fight for, he knew he was going to continue putting himself at death's door. So long as the Light Chaser was out there, he was never going to stand down and that just meant more close calls.

    From a short distance away he heard Boreas's call to battle and soon enough his friend was fighting by his side. "Late? A few seconds more and I would've wrapped things up." Torrin teased. The Horned King was finally in view.

    Suddenly, the Cauldron-Born stopped fighting the keyblade wielders and lowered their weapons, stepping to the side to finish clearing a path to the Horned King himself.

    "Leave them be. If these children wish to challenge the new ruler of this world then so be it. Their deaths shall serve as a message to all who challenge me. The power of the Black Cauldron flows through me, I am immortal." The Horned King hissed.

    "Then let's test that immortality of yours against us, sorcerer!"

    At Torrin's challenge the mist pouring out of the Black Cauldron began to spiral around the Horned King and began to sink into his gray skin. The weight of dark magic filled the air and a black aura began to rise from the sorcerer as his power continued to swell. "THEN DIE!"

    He might not have been actively trying, but he could be more careful. Unfortunately given the current situation, there was no time for such an argument There were still the hordes of Cauldron born around, then the Horned King that they needed to deal with. Stop the big thing and in theory the little would follow, so the Horned King it was. Besides he didn't seem too inclined to let them live given the way he was talking. It would make things an interesting challenge, but one that Tinarah was ready to take on. She was feeling the best she had in days, going into this fight she hadn't already overexerted herself, so she had some confidence in her abilities. Torrin would be fine now, and from what she could tell, so would everyone else, at least for now, but she would have to keep her eye out for everyone.

    For now however the plan was to start out strong, do what she could to take on the man in front of her. She just hoped that magic would work the same against him as it did any normal person. Charging up she didn't get close, but swung her blade in the direction of the horned king. As she swiped up arcane energy came up in an arching fashion before shooting directly towards the Horned King, using the force behind her magic to drive it forward into him. Before the Horned King had a chance to blink there was another attack, as ice flew from her other hand in the direction of the sorcerer, followed by a medium sized rock that seemed to just appeared. He wasn't the only one proficient with magic, she could hold her own just as well.

    Aria was taken aback when the skeleton army suddenly retreated back and held still. It reminded her of a fighting ring, unlike the open areas of the last few battles she had fought. It had a closed off feeling to it, and she was not a fan of it. She saw she was rather close to the Horned King, but she looked to the side and saw Torrin standing boldly there. She kept hold of her keyblade, and dropped to a defense position when the darkness became even more intense than earlier. "Here it goes," she murmed quietly to herself. She raised her keyblade high in the air and cast Rainbow Glow on the whole party, as well as Cheer. This guy seemed very powerful and she didn't want everyone to get beaten to a pulp on the first round.

    "Let's do this!" she called out to her friends. After Tinarah's ice spell flew by, Aria aimed her keyblade in the air again and cast Thundara on the Sorcerer. She then jumped back, preparing for whatever may come their way.

    Seeing that the Horned King was drawing forth the cauldron's power, Enzo set his attention on the scary skeletal being that stood before them. Hopping off the skeletal soldiers heads, he joined the fray of other fighters, looking to dethrone the king. His new friend Torrin had already found the allies he was trying to find earlier, and they were all casting spells and performing melee attacks. Wishing to give in his input, He dashed passed everyone picking up speed, before jumping swiftly into the air and spinning his leg around to performing a roundhouse kick. "Enzo kick!" he yelled proudly, hearing a cracking sound as his foot made contact with the horned king's head.

    As soon as his attack landed, he quickly dashed far away from the horned king. "Enzo retreat!" he yelled flailing his arms behind him. He only ran a dozen meters or so before skidding and facing the person beside him. He blinked a few times before giving a gentle wave to the girl with the pink hair and rainbow attire. "Hi there," he smiled. He took a few sniffs to get a sense of how she was. There was a large sensation of light surrounding her. "You smell like rainbows," he complimented.

    Take was more than happy to be fighting an enemy in a castle as far away from the dragon as he could be at this time. Granted, he had no idea whether it wouldn't blast the place apart when he was focused on this Horned King guys but at this rate he felt like he would be overly paranoid if he thought too much about it. Seeing everyone else was a relief on him, though he did notice that one member of the group was missing. His eyes scanned the group trying to pinpoint Glyde, knowing that the boy would probably be further towards the back if anything. It took him too long and he looked quickly away having an aching feeling in his heart, but knew not to think about it right then. His thoughts certainly tried to wander there. Take reached to grab his wrist a rub it and whispered to himself, "Focus on the fight... focus on the fight... Good soldiers put their feelings last..." before he changed his keyblade back from his greataxe to his keyblade and ran as fast as he could behind the king and slammed as heavy an attack as he could muster at his back as he yelled, "Hey softie! Can I call you softie? Your voice certainly is. Why are you as soft as your voice to hit? I've fought toddlers less soft and more fierce than you!"

    "Keep on dreaming, Torrin." Boreas retorted to his friend as he said he would have wrapped things up if they had gotten here any later. With the Horned King challenging them and Torrin returning the challenge in return, it wasn't the first person to claim immortality that they would fight and prove wrong. The dark magic swirled and grew heavier within the air but Boreas paid it no heed as he was getting back into his battle focus. He shifted his keyblade back to Glaive-guisarme and raised it into the air as a spectral banner appeared attached to the long haft. "Let this day be known as the day we challenged and cast down an immortal. Torrin and I faced one with similar boisterous claims and we ground him down. There are more of us here we can do it again. Show me what you are worth! Show me your true mettle! Charge! And lay low the tyrant!" Boreas bellowed addressing his comrades, before advancing upon the Horned King himself. He was overtaking by an unfamiliar person who proceeded to roundhouse kick the Horned King before flailing his arms and retreating. "Hold your ground!" Boreas called at him as Boreas went in for the attack, slashing diagonally, whirling into a jab which he spun into an overhead slash. Boreas didn't fall back, holding his ground in the face of the Horned King. Boreas would not back down from this fight and he would hold his ground and sell it dearly.

    Ardyn appeared and Qamar glared at him, her eyes widening. She did not like the guy and the fact he would just suddenly appear. Especially after he just mentioned doing wrong to a teammate, even if said person wasn't a very good person. He mentioned putting the Horned King into the cauldron and Qamar looked upon the creature. His army were now set upon the group as they were left to decide upon a plan. Aria had already begun her assault on the cauldron-born, so Qamar followed suit, slashing at the few she was able to attack. She ignored Illiana's quips about things being boring and how she wished things were more interesting and blah blah blah. Qamar was sick of her attitude by this point and she ended up just straight up ignoring the girl. Qamar continued to defend against the skeletons, trying to keep them from attacking Aria and the rest of the group in the process.

    Torrin and the rest of the group appeared and Qamar saw a shimmer of hope in them. Of course Aria was distracted by Torrin appearing and she nearly got hurt in the process. "Aria, don't be so lovestruck and focus on the battle at hand!" Qamar yelled out, ducking under a sword and kicking at the skeleton's legs. Boreas made his entrance and Qamar was impressed, to say the least. After all of this, she was set on perhaps learning a thing or two about his fighting tactics. They seemed to work and she was impressed with the way he was able to control his own darkness in the past. The raw power from when he fought Chrys was intriguing and Qamar wanted to learn more from him. Besides, Torrin was more focused on Aria anyway, so she would never have a chance to learn anything about the darkness from that one. Qamar moved back to Boreas and Thallasa, guarding against multiple attacks from the skeletons. After Torrin showed his relief that Aria was alright, the cauldron-born stopped fighting the group.

    Qamar kept her blade raised and glanced around, wondering what happened. The Horned King bellowed out to the group, causing Qamar to jerk her head towards him.

    Not wanting to sit around and be basically motionless, Qamar launched herself towards the Horned King. Along the way, Qamar had cast Sabera on herself. A rush of energy overcame her and she stopped a moment, glancing to Aria. The girl was cheering the party on as well as using a defensive spell on the party. "Thanks Aria!" she called, a smirk on her face as she readied herself for the Horned King. She even felt faster and more defensive from using her magic. To say the least, the girl was ready to lay the smackdown on the Horned King by now. A new guy had appeared and was already near Aria. Qamar did not like this, but she needed to hurt that Horned King first. Rushing at an incredible speed, Qamar looked as if she was disappearing between slashing the Horned King. She was inspired by Boreas' attacks to add a little flourish to her own. In the midst of attacking, she spun her keyblade around and held it like a dagger to stab into the Horned King. She then finished with a jab from the hilt of her keyblade in the side of the Horned King's head.

    The force of that final attack caused her to jump back and skid to a halt beside Enzo and Aria. Qamar heard the comment about Aria smelling like rainbows. Her eyes rolled and she stood up, breathing heavily. "And you smell like you're not from around here. What's your name? Mr Fresh?" she chuckled.

    Qamar ATTACKED and used SABERA on herself!

    The army around them had backed off for the main villain to step up to bat. The way the mist from the cauldron had swirled around the Horned King reminded him of Kefka and how unpleasant that fight had been. It actually made him sigh in relief that there were a lot more of them here now then there was on that fight. Following behind Boreas, Chrono had attacked with his keyblade using a simple strike of his keyblade and quickly followed up with a fury of blows that ended with Chrono putting distance between himself and the Horned King.

    Torrin raised an eyebrow at Enzo's comment towards Aria, finding the words strange. He shook his head and returned his attention to the battle at hand. Boreas seemed to be in the mood for combat and his words made pushed Torrin to take things one step further. Even Take seemed to be having fun with the battle as he provoked the Horned King. "Well then, with a speech like that, I think it's about time I finally stop holding back." Torrin gripped his keyblade with both hands and the guard broke apart as the blade lengthened until it took the form of a greatsword.

    "Alright...let me show you my darkness!" At his words there was an explosion of darkness centered on Torrin as a black aura wrapped around him. From the wisps of the aura black blades began to form around Torrin and in an instant twelve blades now floated behind him before vanishing into the shadows. Torrin released one hand from his keyblade and flexed his hand, looking at it for a moment before returning it to the handle. "Been way too long since I used this." He said with a smile forming across his face. He charged forward towards the Horned King and swung his keyblade down on the sorcerer, released both hands from his keyblade causing it to vanish, and reached for the air. Two dark blades materialized as he reached as if they had been waiting for him to call upon them and Torrin deftly struck at the Horned King in swift spinning motion, the two blades shattering upon striking the sorcerer, before jumping backwards to summon his keyblade back into his hand and firing off a bolt of darkness in one motion.

    The Horned King's eyes flashed with rage, his robe torn from the attacks that had struck him. He bellowed at the keybladers with hate and thrust his hands out towards them, knocking them back with the Black Cauldron's green mist that burned like steam and left several party members feeling sick.

    Tinarah watched as Torrin exploded into darkness. The power that came behind that caught her attention and made her back off slightly from him, her eyes widened as she watched. She fought back her fear rising just from witnessing such a thing. instead remembering her role here, what she needed to help with. Closing her eyes and trying to ignore it she prepared her spells just as her body was crushed with a wave of pain. Tinarah staggered and glanced around frantically, she wasn't the only one suffering it seemed. Looking around she could see that people were suffering. She could see almost an aura surrounding those who were suffering. Her brother, Torrin, Illiana, Take, some guy she didn't really know. They all were suffering. She herself was suffering, but she managed to push through it with her own will. She would fight against it. Gritting her teeth she knew that she had to do something. Lifting her keyblade a white light emitted from the tip and separated in three different directions. "Chrono, Take, Illiana, keep fighting." She whispered willing the light towards them, healing them. She wasn't strong enough to do this on her own though. Channeling her magic through herself she imbued herself with a familiar frosty power as music filled the air, lightening the atmosphere slightly. Frost coated her keyblade as she looked ahead, a certain light to the Darkness that Torrin seemed to be emitting. Not the same light as Aria, but in her own form it was a light, it was what she followed, music. She then turned her attention back to the Horned King Shooting another blast of ice straight for him, filled with this new strength.

    Tinarah used Esunaga on Chrono, Take, and Illiana. Tinarah uses her drive form. Tinarah used Blizzaga.​

    Chrys honestly felt a little uneasy at first, but her fears were put to rest when Zeno assured her that they weren't going to go digging through the master's things. He was definitely right about unanswered questions as well. She had winced slightly at the mention of Dentro. It felt like it had been a long time, but it really wasn't all that long ago at all. None of them had properly grieved him, but Chrys wasn't even sure she had known him as well as she should have in the first place.

    Zeno was right. They should ask some questions around town. The townspeople had been scarce anyway, and it could lead to some other method of spending the time. Besides; Zeno's proposed image was quite an entertaining one. Giving no hint of any of her darker thoughts out loud, Chrys merely put her fists to her hips and raised an eyebrow, with only the barest hint of a chuckle at his words.

    "Lead the way then, oh fearless one."​

    The girl raised her eyebrow when she saw the methods of the new guy in how he fought. It was odd to say the least... "Uh..." Before she could respond to the guy's strange statement about her smelling like rainbows, Qamar made her way over and commented along the lines of he smelled too. Aria was confused and smelled the air, but the scent of the dungeon was pretty strong. Perhaps there was something she didn't know. She hoped that rainbows smelled nice at least. "I'm Aria," she introduced herself to the newbie without a second thought. "And you're Enzo, right? U-Unless that's the name of your attacks, but I figured it could be your name-?"

    The sudden tide in the battle brought Aria back to what was happening before her. Darkness was pouring from Torrin, which caused the girl to step back in surprise. She knew that Torrin was from the Realm of Darkness     and he was a keyblade master, but his raw power was still a sight to see. Good thing he's on our side.

    Aria was knocked back by the strong force of the green fog, but miraculously enough she wasn't scratched. Most of the other party members were smitten though, and quickly brought her keyblade up and cast     Leafga on Illiana and Qamar. "Hang in there!" she called to them. She then dropped down to an offensive position and charged straight toward the man in the brown robes. When she was close enough, she leaped high in the air above him and then performed her Sky Dive attack on the evil mister. Once she delivered her attack, she stepped back, casting another Thundara spell at the Horned King and then dropped down to a defense position to see what was to come

    Whatever it was that had been causing Chrono to feel weaker despite not fully taking a hit thanks to Take, had gone away with his sister's magic. Admittedly it felt like a weight was taken off his shoulders, despite there not being any actual effect beyond that on him. Light had begun to take form around keyblade, forming a blade that allowed for a shockwave to be fired off towards the horned king.

    Take felt his eyes drift over towards Torrin in the middle of the fight with a deep-seeded feeling of unease. He knew Torrin was on their side, but the power he was showcasing just seemed very wrong to him. It didn't exactly help that he had the whole other-world Torrin that Tinarah had described in the back of his head with that. It was actually a lot harder than he expected to refocus after that. He looked around at the others and after a bit and reluctantly rose his keyblade up and quickly cast Reflega on Chrono. Then he used provoke again to refocus his attention from Illiana and Tinarah, prodding at the Horned King as he yelled, "Come at me, coward!"

    Chrono had fallen in behind him in his attack and Boreas was glad to have someone at his back, sadly however Chrono fell back after his attacks. Boreas was left in awe of the display of force that Torrin put up but there was no time to be lost as the Sorceror retaliated with his green mist, it burned and felt sickening as he inhaled it but Boreas fought through it, he had fought amidst fire and smoke, this was just a small degree worse. Boreas made ready as around him his team members got back into the fight. Boreas wanting to not be outdone by Torrin felt the battle rage run through his veins. The pain helping him in that regard as Boreas slashed and jabbed in a neat combination with his glaive as he weaved the weapon around him using the staff to protect as the blade attacked. He ended his combination by shifting his blade into the Pernach form and throwing it straight at the Horned King's head and after colliding it returned to his hand as he held his glaive in a defensive position. "    Don't let up! We shall grind him to dust!" Boreas shouted.

    Enzo nodded. "Well it's nice to meet you Aria," he smiled softly. The attack to him done by the Horned King left him a little bit paralyzed, his fingers feeling like pins and needles. "Oh... my fingers tingle." he winced. "Eh... so weird..." he said stretching his fingers a bit. "Well let's see how you like it!" He waved his hand up and slammed his palm in a downward motion, casting a gravity spell. He closed his hand to unleash a poison spell onto the Horned King, before finally shaping his hand into a finger gun position, unleashing a thunder spell onto his target. He had cast three spells, with nothing but hand motions.

    "I don't think this should take very long at all now should it?" Zeno spoke as he walked forward down the quiet streets of Eventide Town. He let out a whistle which echoed against the brick streets and let out a dramatic sigh. "This place really is quite dull. Safe, yes, but just terribly dull. Well at least we don't have to worry about Heartless dropping in on us at night." He complained, glancing over at Chrys before returning his gaze to the path ahead.

    The two continued to walk as the terrain started to slope upwards, Zeno's pace picking up when he caught sight of a flower shop ahead. "That's where we need to go. Chop chop!" Zeno called out, urging Chrys to hurry after him as he took off in a light jog. When the two arrived at the front of shop there was an elderly w oman in view watering her plants. "Allow me to do the talking, grandmothers love me." He smirked. As Zeno walked forward the old woman looked over at him and frowned.

    "Child, you shouldn't dye your hair that color. People might think you're a hooligan."

    "What? No! I-it's not dyed it's–"

    "And fix that slouch, you'll end up with a hump on your back!" She scolded.

    "Argh...Chrys? This one's yours. Today's not my day." Zeno shook his head, exasperated, and stepped back letting Chrys take the lead on the questions.

    Torrin grabbed another two blades of darkness from the air and leapt at the Horned King, bringing both blades down on him before summoning his keyblade once more, back in its normal form, and bringing up in a powerful cut. With the momentum from his swing Torrin flipped backwards and landed a few feet from the Horned King. If he wasn't going to hold back then he had to give it his all and his signature technique was exactly what came to mind. Torrin flicked his wrist, his keyblade flashed, and in the blink of an eye he was behind the Horned King. Rather than blood, more of the same green mist poured out from the sorcerer's side. Torrin's eyes narrowed at the sad sight of how far that creature had gone to gain his so-called "immortality". "You're outnumbered and outmatched." Torrin teleported back towards the others, striking the Horned King as he did so. The Horned King growled and fell to one knee.

    "Stay down if you know what's good for you!" And as expected, the sorcerer rose back up glaring at the keybladers with hatred in his glowing eyes. "Suit yourself." In the next moment Torrin lunged at the Horned King, coming at him from several directions and disappearing before each thrust as he used Chaos Blade, the final lunge sending Torrin back beside Aria. Surprisingly, the sorcerer was still standing but Torrin knew he wasn't done yet. He still had more to give. "You know, I prefer him to the clown. At least he isn't laughing at us." Torrin mused.

    Gero stroked his beard and nodded slowly. "Yes. It would appear that when Joch took it upon himself to destroy those terrible weapons he failed at disposing of the last one."

    "Can you really call them weapons, Master?" Stamatis asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

    "I would not expect you to understand without having seen one in person. Such raw destructive darkness...though it seems that the last one of its kind has been damaged beyond repair. No doubt thanks to the Light Chaser's extensive plans..."

    "Why do you use that title? We knew him long before he ever took that alias. Why not simply call him A–"

    "The boy we trained died a long time ago, Stamatis. We failed him and only the Light Chaser remains." Gero clasped his fingers together and leaned back in his seat. He silently contemplated his own words for a moment before moving on and returning to the subject at hand, knowing reliving the pain of the past would do them no good. "My interactions with the Sovereign of the Night were few and far between but Joch did not strike me as the kind of man to leave something unfinished. He was not that sloppy."

    "Perhaps he intended to use the weapon? That would certainly prove to be a better explanation for his civil war than the one we've currently heard." Stamatis spoke calmly.

    "Mm. Perhaps. Or perhaps he kept it in tact out of sentiment. In either case, that would have caused tensions to rise. After seeing what the others were capable of, no reasonable person would not want them all destroyed. After all, that is exactly why he contacted me all those years ago when he knew he could not destroy those weapons himself. Still...that does not explain why the Light Chaser would go to such lengths to render one useless rather than destroy it makes no sense to me."

    "Yet you still have plans to use that weapon yourself, do you not?"

    "In light of our current predicament, we must take every advantage we can. I expect your support on this, Stamatis. Should I die, you are the only one capable of unleashing that weapon."

    "I...I understand, Gero. But if you are so concerned about our current numbers, perhaps it is time we brought in another." Stamatis smiled faintly. "You would have no objection to me contacting Fost, would you?"
